Crab Claw Meat Fried Rice (Signature Dish)
    Amy L.

Tom yum is sparse with toppings(?) but soup base was soooo good. Crab fried rice was a bit too sweet for me and crab claw meat was bland but my brother likes it a lot so I guess it's a personal preference. Service was good! Granted we were the only party there (came right when the opened lol). Mom and pop vibes. I think it's a solid Thai place for cravings.

came around 4 PM on a weekday and was seated right away with no wait. The restaurant has such a cozy, homey feel and the decor is super cute. It honestly feels very family owned and welcoming. There was an adorable grandma serving the food, which made the whole experience even more charming. We started with the chicken satay. The chicken itself was slightly on the drier side, but the peanut sauce totally made up for it. For mains, we ordered the pad see ew with beef. The noodle texture was excellent: soft with just the right amount of chew, and the seasoning was well balanced. I liked that they used Chinese broccoli, which gave it a nice slight bitterness to contrast the savory sauce. The egg was placed more in the center instead of being fully mixed throughout, which was a little different but still tasted great. We also tried the Bangkok drink and Thai tea. I appreciated that they asked how sweet we wanted the drinks, it's always nice when places let you customize the sweetness level.

Great service. Small place. A few tables inside. Clean. I really enjoyed the basil and chili sauce. It was very flavorful. I soaked it all up with the rice. The only thing I was disappointed in was the protein to veggie ratio.

Consistent service and food quality. It's a little hole in the wall which makes it even better! Love the Tom kha soup and the drunken noodles were delicious!!

Got the Pad See Ew with tofu, my go-to at thai places and it was super tasty! I verified with the server that it had no fish sauce, egg okay. I'm used to non-veggie places slacking off on flavoring their vegetarian options (Manaao Thai I'm looking at you) but even the tofu here was pretty well seasoned. No line, food came super quick, and service was super friendly! What more to ask for!

Tried the Pad See Ew with Beef and the Full-sized BBQ Chicken with a side of rice -- all for around $41. The Pad See Ew was delicious, you can never go wrong with getting that. The BBQ chicken was good too; it had a tangy flavor and the sauces it came with are a nice addition. The service was fine. However, I'd avoid ordering on their website since their software was a little weird -- our order didn't process on the website, so we had to call and they had to manually accept it (they were confused about it too). As we were about to pick up the food, they called us to say they didn't have mangos for the Mango Sticky Rice we originally ordered, so they cancelled it and refunded us for that item with cash when we arrived. Lastly, we picked up our food on a Thursday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all, all the tables were free and there was no line. The inside was cutely decorated too. Parking was also ok!

My review is long overdue. I came to place a takeout order a while back one late afternoon. I think it's ran by a couple and they were super sweet. The lady took my order and then I paid and waited at the restaurant. I really like how they decorated the place. If I dine in, I would love to sit at one of the two tables right next to the glass wall, so you can look outside. It has an outdoor indoor courtyard feel. I order drunken noodles, spicy beef salad, chicken satay, and mango sticky. rice (because of the blue/purple sticky rice). Food was really good and I was so happy and satisfied. Highly recommend!

Great service delicious food, been coming here over 8 years. Family run business and excellent service and tentative staff. Cute ambiance and 100/10 food quality and taste. Also great value.

We got 1. Crab fried rice claw meat: 9/10 my favorite dish of the meal! Very flavorful and it leans very slightly sweet. 2. Pad Thai w beef (8/10) good flavor but the noodles were just a little too wet 3. Pad kee mao: (5/10) this was kind of a miss for us. Flavor did not taste any like regular drunken noodles. You can already tell by the color. 4. Panang curry (9/10) another hit for the table 5. Thai tea was HUGE

I was craving Thai food, so I ordered delivery from Thai Chaiyo. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken, pad Thai with beef, and tom kha with shrimp. The curry was definitely my favorite!! So yummy, flavorful, and a little spicy. I think my least favorite was the pad Thai, but it was still good. The three dishes were about $70. I would love to visit the restaurant in-person next time and try their other dishes. Thank you!

Vegan - Garden Fresh Rolls with a side of mustard dip

Yesterday evening, I went to this Thai eatery for the first time. I have been frequenting the dentist and other restaurant venues since the pandemic. The waitress hardly spoke English but she was nice! I ordered Leo, an imported Thai pale lager Beer - light, crisp, with a touch of sweetness. I was given a cold bottle with a beer mug! You can also order assorted wines and American beers along with other popular Thai imported beers like Singha and Chang. I shared the Beef salad with my friend. It had a great taste and can be ordered with your ideal spice level. The beef was well seasoned but medium rare and tepid to my palate. I would have prefered it well done and served hot on top of a side order of steamed rice along with the salad on the same plate etc. The restaurant patrons, who sat next to us, ordered the Garden Fresh Rolls - 6 rolls which contains fresh greens, tempeh soybean cake, mint, cilantro, cucumber, carrot, basil, vermicelli rice noodle with a mustard dip on the side.

Friday night dinner cravings brought us into Thai Chaiyo, parking was easy to find, and there was not a wait at 6 pm. Tables filled up quickly as soon as we sat down. Small and humble space with sticky menus a and a waiter that didn't seem to know when or how to cut in to take our order, drink refills, or basic check-ins. Service and atmosphere were left lukewarm, just like my water. Coconut Shrimp ($10.50) - Avoid at all costs. The star for specialty means nothing. As soon as the appetizer was placed, I thought, "Wow, generous serving." Only to be left underwhelmed. All you taste is coconut, the small side of sweet and sour sauce for dipping does nothing to accompany the screaming coconut flakes. Shrimp, where? All batter. Not to mention the color of the fry on this. Pad See Ew ($13.95) - With chicken. Delicious. Really good, tasted like every other pad See ew I've ever had which is great. Yellow Curry ($13.50) - With Beef, please don't order beef. It was chewy and hard, pieces were oblong and non consistent. Curry tasted good though. Overall, it was an underwhelming dining experience, had a Thai craving and this place but a bandaid over it, but I won't be coming back.

This place is small but the food is very good. I will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice Thai food on a quiet weekend! The service was ok as well.

The Pad Thai was my favorite of the night. The flavor was so well-balanced -- not overly sweet, not too tangy, and the savory notes came through perfectly. The noodles were cooked just right and every bite felt comforting without being too heavy. You can tell they paid attention to the sauce ratio instead of drowning the dish in it. The calamari and shrimp with egg yolk glaze had that addictive crispy texture while still staying light. The egg yolk coating added richness without overpowering the seafood, and the sweet chili dip on the side tied everything together really well. The BBQ ribeye was tender, flavorful, and paired nicely with the fresh greens and dipping sauce. It had that smoky charred flavor that makes it hard to stop eating piece after piece. Overall, this meal felt satisfying without any one dish overpowering the others. Definitely one of those spots where you leave already thinking about what you want to order next time. Well, I guess it was bound to happen. While my food adventures in OC have largely been successful,…read moreit was inevitable that I'd end up coming across a place that so many folks like that just didn't hit the mark for me. However, I never would've thought that place was going to be Siam Station. After hearing good things about their spot in Cupertino/the Bay Area from several friends, it felt rather fortuitous when we randomly came across their original location - and with no line in sight! Inside, they've got a cozy sort of vibe and it's cool how they have some outdoor tables set-up as well. As for the menu, it didn't seem all that extensive at a glance, but it has all of the staples you'd expect to find among their appetizers, soups, salads, fried rice, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, curry dishes, entrees, and desserts. -- ZESTY WINGS - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Topped with Crispy Basil and Served with Chili Sauce Easily our favorite dish of the night. The wings were really crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside. Even though there wasn't much of the sauce, which was flavorful but not that spicy, it was fine - the wings were still great without it. -- KHAO SOI with Chicken - Yellow Curry Broth with Egg Noodles and Chicken and Served with Red Onions, Lime, and Pickles Ehh...this was okay, I guess. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and I thought the broth was pretty good - not the best I've had, but better than most. That said, I didn't love the egg noodles, especially the crispy ones after they had soaked up the broth. -- PAD KEE MOW (Drunken Noodles) with Crispy Pork - Flat Rice Noodles Stir Fried with Spicy Basil Garlic Sauce, Bell Peppers, Tomato, Sweet Onion, and Thai Basil I was super excited for this, but it was disappointing. The first thing we noticed was how pale it was and, sadly, the taste matched. Whether it be their garlic sauce or some chilis, this needed more. As for the pork, it was definitely crispy, but a few pieces bordered on dry/burnt. -- MANGO STICKY RICE A little hit, a little miss. The mango was fine (decently sweet, soft), but the sticky rice left us a little wanting. Mainly, I didn't love the glob of coconut cream, was it was pretty thick and viscous, which gave the rice a weird texture/coating to it. As far as service goes, it was uneventfully good. Although there was one point where it was hard to hail someone, it was mostly because the restaurant got increasingly busy and one of the servers was trying to help a group sort something out with their order. Otherwise, our food came out relatively quick and the workers were rather efficient with everything. Despite how we left feeling bummed out by our experience, it had more to do with being underwhelmed than the food actually being "bad". Admittedly, we came in with high hopes/expectations from all of the hype we had heard and it probably didn't help that we had gone to Manaao the night before, which is one of my favorite Thai restaurants anywhere. What's more, I wonder if we just didn't get the best that Siam Station has to offer. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back to find out (and potentially writing an update), but perhaps I'll just try my luck at their spot in Cupertino that my friends like so much.

We got the combination fried rice, pad thai with crispy pork, pineapple curry with chicken. Combination Fried Rice- The rice had a nice garlicky taste and it was loaded with pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp. Perfectly seasoned too. Pad Thai with Crispy Pork- The noodles were soft and chewy and the sauce was a lovely combination of sweet and tangy. The crispy pork added a later of texture and flavor. Pineapple Curry with Chicken- The curry was bursting with flavor! The pineapple chunks added a burst of sweetness and freshness to every bite. The chicken was nice and tender. Great meal overall!

Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. The spices, freshness, and balance in the dishes were spot on. Each bite was satisfying and full of that bold, crave-worthy Thai taste. While the curry wasn't my personal favorite (the veggies were a bit undercooked for my taste), everything else more than made up for it. From the appetizers to the stir fry, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Service was friendly and quick, and the owner/chef is always welcoming. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Thai food. You can really taste the quality and heart in every dish!
