Ever since I got hooked on mediterranean food from l.a. I became a huge fan of them. Between mediterranean and middle eastern food, i always loved the fact that they were similar but different. Zingo is one of those places that does the "lightness" and "freshness" very well. Way a good mediterranean cooks cook the chicken tawook so tender always amazed me, and zingo does them well also. Kafta, gyro and all other choices are great also. Mood of their staff can vary at times. They're friendly for the most part, but i fully expect seemingly teenager staffs to be in bad moods sometimes. I'm just glad they're not a restaurant with assigned wait staff for table, and I don't get stuck with *that* one who's having a bad day.. read more

Zingo's is on my short list of restaurants I visit when I am back in my hometown, depending on my schedule. It does close early during the week and I believe it is closed on Sundays so I simply plan around their schedule. It's completely worth the effort. I took my daughter and grandchildren there last week for lunch - it's the kind of place with the kind of menu where you feel good about sharing a meal. My favorite menu items are the sandwich wraps, apricot salad or the grilled vegetable platter - with either couscous or rice. Another all-time favorite is the feta salsa ... it's moderately addictive and absolutely delicious. A perfect savory item and the chips it is served with? Goodness they are addictive. The price is very reasonable and the portions are generous. I would estimate an average $10 per adult and $6 per child for pricing if you request water (which is free) - but you can find lower or higher menu items as well. I am most impressed with their children's menu - grilled chicken and rice are my grand's favorite lunch item but there are many options to choose from ... The service is friendly and fast. You place your order at the front counter and if your order is for "in", you take a number and your food is delivered to the table. It's very efficient and the service is very fast. I have had great luck placing orders to go as well - I usually call and have not tried online ordering yet but the food is always ready when noted and it's a great option for a quick picnic out or taking a meal home to enjoy. Once every three or four visits, I let myself have a slice of baklava. Walnut baklava. I must admit I've never had a bad portion here - it's always perfect, buttery, flaky and downright perfect without being overly saturated with the honey syrup. Did I mention perfect? One tip - even when the online order system notes it is "all gone" ... call and ask. I suspect it is reported gone when inventory is getting low so you aren't disappointed. Take it from me - order a slice with your order and you will not be disappointed. Parking is tricky in downtown Perrysburg but there is ample free parking available within 1 block of the restaurant. I typically do 1 or 2 circles of the main street to try and get parallel parking in front of the store but if not - I take either third street or the alley next to the old bank and go to the rear parking lot and walk the short half block. I've never had an issue finding a space - and frankly ... the food is worth a much longer walk for certain. read more

I wish I had more excuses to spend time in Perrysburg because Zingo's is one of my favorite casual dining options in the Toledo area. With the abundance of mediterranean options we have to choose from, Zingo's falls high on that list for me as well. The restaurant itself has a pleasant atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff falling on the younger age of the spectrum. The food is absolutely fantastic with a very specific Zingo twist on the mediterranean classics you're more than likely familiar with. While the grilled wraps are high on my list of suggested items to try out, the "Junk" salad is in my opinion the best salad available in North West Ohio. The chicken is beautifully seasoned, the gyro meat is savory and crispy and it all sits on a huge portion of healthy fresh veggies. It's a symphony of textures and flavors that all perfectly go together with the mouth coating greek dressing. Highly recommended and worth the extra trip to Perrysburg if you have the time. read more

Fabulous and friendly! Pesto chicken salad, I swapped beef for the chicken, was delicious. Red lentil soup and sautéed mushrooms were best I've had. The seasoning in the mushrooms was just right. Zingo's original gyro was wonderful. Chicken and rice soup was excellent with a lot of chicken and vegetables. Chicken apricot salad was very good. I would give zero stars if possible. I placed an order for 6 cupcakes for delivery to a friend on her birthday. She lives within Zingo's delivery area and I met the order minimum. My order was processed and I received a text saying it was on its way. Then a store employee called saying that my order was not for food so it did not qualify for delivery. I've placed this exact order before with Zingo's so I know this is not true. I live hundreds of miles away so I depended on this delivery service to make her day special. Beware of terrible customer service with absurd explanations (e.g., cupcakes are not food). Now I'm left scrambling without so much as an apology. read more

Good, fast service. The food was fine. Husband would have appreciated more taziki sauce on his gyro. The grape leaves were excellent. Would have preferred cucumbers and carrots with the hummus instead of pita. Did not ask if it was an option. Not everyone eats bread so it's nice to not need to ask if available. read more

I've only been here twice but each time I thoroughly enjoyed my food. Like eyes-closed-while-whispering-oh-my-goodness. First time: Dined in with a party of 4. Got the Original Gyro, Zingo style. It was one of those times when you plan to only eat half but end up devouring the entire thing before you actually make your decision. "Well...damn," she said to her empty plate. Second time: Ordered for takeout just before the dinner rush. Falafel sandwich with garlic sauce on the side per #smashtoledo's recommendation. Made it Zingo style and "pick a pair" with hummus and pita chips. Added the garlic sauce and hummus for every bite. I wish they had fries. Because fries would've gone right in there too. Another time when I planned to just eat half. Oh and they have baklava! It was a small piece for $3 but it was very tasty and made just how I like it. Not too sweet, extra crispy. I love this place! Definitely want to try more and more so I'm all yours if you have any other recommendations. read more

I like to visit the downtown Perrysburg restaurants from time to time, and Zingo's has quickly established itself as one of my favorites in this lineup. Although the prices look high at first glance, the portions are large. Zingo's also has some of the best vegetable dishes I have had in the area, so it is a great place to bring your vegetarian friends. Everything I have tried at Zingo's, from kabobs to smoothies, has been excellent, but I find myself coming back to two dishes in particular: the junk salad and the mixed grilled vegetables. The junk salad is quite substantial, including chicken, gyro meat, a generous helping of feta, and assorted veggies and served with a creamy dressing. I find it great for sharing because of the size and variety. Both the chicken and gyro meat are so flavorful you'll likely find yourself sneaking a few bites sans everything else, and the dressing compliments well no matter what assortment of items you decide to put on your fork. I'm not usually one to order vegetable dishes when I go out, but Zingo's is an exception. Their mixed grilled veggies are amazing! From the onions to the mushrooms to the peppers, everything has a just right texture. And honestly, I didn't know it was possible to pack so much flavor into grilled vegetables until I tried this dish. The whole thing is served over cous-cous and topped with a tasty feta-red pepper sauce. Zingo's does get busy and sometimes the service slows down, but the staff have always been friendly. And for some reason, Zingo's is a hot spot for parents with young children, so during peak hours you may experience crying babies or shouting kids. The open, largely wood design also does very little to dampen sound, so the restaurant tends to be loud in general. Overall Zingo's is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and definitely my go to when I want a vegetable dish. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. read more

We were so happy when we found Zingo's! Driving across the country on I-80, there simply aren't very many healthy, fresh, non-chain options. If you're not staying in Perrysburg (like we were), Zingo's is a little bit of a detour from the highway, but still worth it. We had the chicken gyro and the shish kabob sandwich. Both were great! I wasn't the biggest fan of their pita bread, which was pretty dry and not soft enough, but considering it's Ohio, I thought this place was awesome. Also, as others have mentioned, downtown Perrysburg is super cute. It's worth getting your food to go so you can check out the park nearby as well as the lovely Commodore Perry monument. read more

One of our favorite places to have a nice lunch! Mediterranean menu, vegetarian options- and the gyro is delicious and generous- I always have the other half of my sandwich to enjoy the next day. Crispy, light pita chips and house- made hummus or a cup of tummy- warming soup rounds out your meal. If you still have room, try the baclava or a sinful vegan brownie! Highly recommend! read more

Coming from California to this off-the-street eatery on a recent trip, I can say that I enjoyed Zingo's emensely. Quick service, and just a nice hangout. The portions were just right, serving you humus and crispy pita triangles to dip them in. I had the Feta Chicken entree. It was delicious served on top a bed of couscous and everything was seered just right. (Out here in California, its easier to give you white rice along with your entree...bleh) The girl working the counter was a little robotic and cold, compared to a lot of Ohio's good-natured workers, but once we got the food, I could've cared less. The environment's nice inside...almost like a coffee house with wooden floors and neutral colors all around. Very new-school Ohio. And I was impressed with this section of Ohio. It seemed very upscale while having their downhome shops still open. I would eat there again definitely. read more

Traveling from Chicago to Pittsburg and was delighted to find this place. They had vegan and gluten free options. We had the vegan gyros, vegetarian trio made vegan. Also our cashier recommended the vegan grape leaves as an appetizer! Everything was delicious, however the chocolate vegan cupcake was to die for. Definitely take the short trip off the expressway. The staff were not only helpful in selecting our lunch choices but very friendly. We sat at an outside table. The town was very quaint. Great hometown feel. read more

I really do love this place but today I got a chicken gyro Zingo's-style ( it was just ok. Kind of dry) and a side Greek salad and it was very meager and that's being generous! I counted 10 small pieces of lettuce, some feta, cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onion. I got it to go so I didn't look at it until I went to dinner at the hospital and almost cried! I was expecting just a little bit more to it I guess. Too expensive for 10 pieces of lettuce and a few toppings. So 2 stars this time Zingo's...sorry. read more

I stopped by Zingo's Mediterranean on my way back to Columbus. The street where this restaurant was located was charming. Service - Excellent- the hostess and the girl who brought out the food was super nice. Food- I tried the gyro, feta salsa, and falafel salad. The feta salsa and salad was so light and refreshing. The gyro was HUGE, it was double the size of the ones you would get from Happy Greek (in columbus) and the taste/quality was equally as good. read more
