Definitely recommend visiting for some quality Mediterranean food! This was my first time here and the employees were very helpful and kind when it came to ordering. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and has a nice seating area if you want to dine in. But the FOOD!! Was so fresh, flavorful, and fast! You get great portions for the price and the food is delicious!

Not fattoush. Side salad with pita on top. And I paid extra for this.

Food is flavorful but this business isn't run like the Grapeleaf Diner in Holland. I ordered fattoush and it was all lettuce with some pita chips thrown on top. Definitely not fattoush. When I called the person was utterly unhelpful. Said she "didn't make it so she doesn't know". And left it at that. If you want a decent order prepared correctly get it from the original in Holland. This is the second time the express on Monroe messed up my order so I won't be going back.

    Spinach pie! Really good!

This was my first time eating here. We chose to eat inside, the food was alright, I was disappointed with the sauce on the Gyro, it wasn't tzatziki sauce. The restaurant inside was really nicely decorated, but they need to do better housekeeping, it was pretty dirty. If I eat there again I would probably just get takeout. But I'll probably just try a different place instead next time. Oh and they added a $3.15 "Non cash adjustment charge " to the bill, Idk what that means, but it was shady.

I try not to practice too much "reactive Yelping," but sometimes, I can't help it. The Grape Leaf Express is a 1 star restaurant? Sorry, but I just don't see how. I agree with Clay C's comment of "Solid food at fair prices." TGLE features very good carry out food and service. I just ordered the "party platter," and some other stuff, and it was all ready in 15 minutes. The girl behind the counter even helped me carry it all to the car. TGLE is great for a quick bite at lunch time, also. I gave it 4 stars (instead of 5) simply because it's not The Beirut. Compared to other similar places (Middle Eastern carry outs), it gets 5 stars from me.

Really good lunch or dinner spot and now on my list of top Greek places in Toledo. I came in and was tempted by several vegan options before ending on the falafel sandwich which was well seasoned and a good portion size. The food came out in ample time and they had outdoor seating options. 5 stars!!

I like the Holland location better. My steak bites were a bit overcooked. Service was great though and environment was clean.

The baked feta... a 1/3 brick of feta broiled with red pepper flakes and olive oil is hands down my favorite way to eat this flavorful cheese. The fact that they use GOOD feta goes a long way to making this a delicious way to start a meal. Spread on bread or pita, it's divine. For me, the go-to entree is the patio platter. I get mine without rice, which means the plate is piled high with green beans, fresh tomatoes, green peppers and Manos' consistently absurdly strong white onions. The sliced sausage is strongly flavored and goes great with the veggies. I've had it more times than practically any other food item in the city of Toledo. All of Manos' vegetarian dishes are sure to please. I love his Spanakopita. Mushier than you may find elsewhere, but it's still delicious. To that point, most dishes feel homemade. Presentation changes based on the day of the week, as does preparation. Same as you'd find at home. The service is always friendly, and if you're lucky enough to get one of the old school waitresses, you're in for some stories if you engage them right. Super friendly even on busy nights, they aim to please. I've been eating at Manos for basically my entire food conscious life and while yes, I've had better greek food elsewhere, there are certain items on Mano's menu that I think are perfect. Combine them with a classic atmosphere, and a lovely patio in the summertime and you have one of my favorite, constant "go to" restaurants in the city of toledo. Not looking for a sit-down meal, and thirsty for some drinks? Head upstairs to the "Attic" bar. They offer the full Manos menu, plus a full bar and friendly service.

Last person in our party was served almost 2 hours after we were seated. He boxed most of his food. We all did. People came and went and staff was wrapping up, we were all ready to leave. How is this ok to arrive anticipating a shared experience and leave paying a premium for carry out? We waited an hour for hummus. We were asked if we wanted appetizers served first, yes, which leaves the expectation that items would arrive timely and in order. One in our party asked for a drink on the house due to the unacceptable wait. And clarified "on the house" a second time. I felt like the acknowledgment was conciliatory and a show of good faith. I regret ordering a second drink based on that. When we got our bills, his drink was on the tab. Was there some disconnect? Plus an automatic 20% gratuity due to "large group" of 7 people. 20% is standard to me, but in this case doesn't help the cause of what might be assumed to be an overburdened server. And makes me think they feel it's the customer that's the problem for expecting anything remotely what the brand implies. The server was congenial initially, but avoided us the longer we waited for our food. No water refills, no updates. I don't blame her for not asking if we needed anything because what we needed was our food ....how uncomfortable....whatever was going on in the kitchen might be making her job miserable. 2 hours on a cozy patio enjoying decent food and drinks, yes. Waiting on food, not so much.

While I did not experience the ambiance at Grape Leaf Diner today, I can say from a past visit that the atmosphere is clean, bright with lots of windows, and with comfortable chairs and booths. The restaurant is located near or within a small strip mall at the Holland, OH location. (The Grape Leaf Express location in Toledo, OH located on Monroe St near Franklin Park Mall is also in a strip mall.) The food ordered today included chicken shawarma, yellow rice with vegetables (green beans, corn and peas), hummus, pita bread, and a Greek salad. There was also a dish of grilled vegetables that included squash and zucchini. While I didn't want to be rude and photograph food in the middle of the party, I took some screenshots posted by the restaurant to give you an idea of the food presentation. The salad ingredients were very fresh and delicious. Hummus was perfectly flavored. I always wish that Mediterranean rice had more vegetables, though it was delicious. I found the chicken shawarma a bit salty, but I'm salt-sensitive, so most people probably would love it; the meat was lean. As for the zucchini and squash vegetables, they looked delicious but we didn't have plastic knives, and I couldn't manage to cut them or eat them with the plastic forks. It was a beautiful presentation and I recommend that you give this restaurant a try! A tip for summer weather: the A/C was cranked up high when I was last there... maybe bring a jacket or sweater if you tend to run cold.
