It's a shame that they don't offer a falafel lavash wrap, but there are lots of other choices on the extensive menu. The clientele included lots of Arabic families, a wonderful testament to the excellent authentic food offered at Sidon. We also stopped into their market and found it to be a bustling place - large, clean, brightly lit, with tons of options and so many freshly-prepared foods. Staff were efficient and friendly. Of course we had to end the meal with dessert (not much room left but we made it work) and the tuxedo mousse cake was made with so much love you could taste it in every bite. I could have eaten it with a spoon -- smoky, silky, absolutely unforgettable. For entrées, I ordered the Port Saiid with chicken, and my husband chose the Mediterranean lamb chops. My Port Saiid was perfection: tender mushrooms, beautifully textured rice (not mushy, not hard -- just right), juicy chicken, and a luscious lemon‑garlic sauce that I would happily put on everything. I could eat this dish every day. Watching my husband with his lamb chops was like watching a kid devour his favorite meal -- pure joy. The bones were clean, the plate was clean, and he would have ordered a second round if given the chance. Dessert was non‑negotiable. We tried the baklava and the Ameera cake special. The market side is small, doesn't have a huge selection, but still a solid representation of mediterranean cooking basics (and seriously...just how many brands of tahini do you need???). And it's clean! A very economical olive bar and well-stocked meat case are musts for a visit here. In the latter, you'll find a little bit of beef, a little bit of chicken, a little bit of goat, but a whole lotta lamb, everything from tongues to trotters, at far below supermarket prices. As much as I'd like to say I've tried more dishes here, I can't... because their chicken shawarma is too good to steer away! Lovely portions for the $20 price tag. I'm very hard to fill-up, but they manage to do it here. The large portion sizes is what ultimately keeps me coming back. Owner & management - please keep it up! Kind staff. Very accommodating. Treated like family while dining in. Newly remodeled dining area that's especially nice. The ONLY knock I have is a 7% fee for dining - which appears to be a new charge. Food is prepared on a paper plate and served on a plastic tray that you return when throwing away trash. The additional expense to eat in is not justifiable. There is also a 3% non-cash fee. Be prepared to spend an additional 10% menu price if you plan to dine in & pay with card. Salad was good--fresh lettuce and vegetbles with a nice tangy dressing. Fried pita chips on top were limp, though, which is a first for me.
