Better than what the reviews lead me to believe! Probably depends on the menu item you get, but the beef kabobs were fantastic. I asked for medium rare and got more medium, but they were juicy and tender and the flavor was great! The real standout is the flippin' cheese risotto, tho... You can order a side of it all on its own and boy howdy do I recommend doing so if your dish doesn't already come with a side! SO good. I'd come back just for that, it was so good. The brussel sprouts were also delicious. Well cooked and flavor with lemon that was not at all overwhelming. Pickled onions on top. Would order these again too! We also got the flatbread which has a nice garlic flavor. My dining companions liked the flavor of the dough. It made us want to try their pizzas next!

We've now been here several times, bringing new guests with us as well. We were brought here because we had a foodie card ($10 off). We loved it and have been bringing friends and family to try it out because we enjoyed it so much. The first time we were there we asked if the veggie burger was vegan and was told it was. We have several vegan family members that's why we asked. We then came with our family with two vegans. They also called before hand to make sure it was vegan and was told it was! Well imagine the surprise when we get there and are told none of the bread they carry is vegan. Wouldn't that make the veggie burger not vegan?? Our family members had to eat it on pita bread because that's all they have. One of the vegan ones had mayo which was wiped off the pita bread so they couldn't even eat the pita bread. Such a disregard for food allergy is pathetic. Then this last time we came with friends because they also have the foodie cards so they wanted to use theirs. They informed us they no longer take the foodie cards...the foodie card brought us in for the first time and we probably brought 15 people with us to try it after. No one had ever heard or even knew the restaurant was there. But between the small portions, lying about food allergies and now not honoring coupons we will not return. Sad because the flavors are good.

We were fairly happy with our visit to this establishment. The location on Monroe St. in the Promenade Shops is quite convenient. The storefront is easy to spot at the elbow of the plaza. The facility features a bar in one half and a dining room in the other. We sat on the dining room side. Our server Lexi attended to us right away and did a great job during our entire visit. The menu featured a lot of familiar choices, including salads, sandwiches and entrees. I chose the Pastrami Cristo sandwich. The pastrami was terrific and the broccoli side was very nicely done. My wife had the chicken tenders and fries to share with our grandson. She was also quite happy with her choice. We had club soda to drink, for which they did not charge. With food, tax and a tip, our bill was $31. At $15.50 per person as well as feeding a 20-month old, I cannot complain about the value. We will definitely look forward to our next visit.

Wow, loved this place! It was worth driving 35 minutes off 80/90 for. John had the home made dough, hand tossed, wood fired 14" pizza with pepperoni, sausage & mushrooms. We lucked out to stop on $10.00 pizza night & extra toppings were $1 each. I loved my beef tenderloin kabobs accompanied with home made tzatziki sauce, pita, & a yummy side of broccoli that was grilled with butter & olive oil! I never had broccoli like that before. Really really good. Could have eaten another order of it if I wasn't so full. LOL! Too bad I didn't have room for the home made rice pudding or homemade chocolate chip cookie topped with gelato! Maybe next time!

Gigli pasta (pesto sauce) - it was very good!

While I did not experience the ambiance at Grape Leaf Diner today, I can say from a past visit that the atmosphere is clean, bright with lots of windows, and with comfortable chairs and booths. The restaurant is located near or within a small strip mall at the Holland, OH location. (The Grape Leaf Express location in Toledo, OH located on Monroe St near Franklin Park Mall is also in a strip mall.) The food ordered today included chicken shawarma, yellow rice with vegetables (green beans, corn and peas), hummus, pita bread, and a Greek salad. There was also a dish of grilled vegetables that included squash and zucchini. While I didn't want to be rude and photograph food in the middle of the party, I took some screenshots posted by the restaurant to give you an idea of the food presentation. The salad ingredients were very fresh and delicious. Hummus was perfectly flavored. I always wish that Mediterranean rice had more vegetables, though it was delicious. I found the chicken shawarma a bit salty, but I'm salt-sensitive, so most people probably would love it; the meat was lean. As for the zucchini and squash vegetables, they looked delicious but we didn't have plastic knives, and I couldn't manage to cut them or eat them with the plastic forks. It was a beautiful presentation and I recommend that you give this restaurant a try! A tip for summer weather: the A/C was cranked up high when I was last there... maybe bring a jacket or sweater if you tend to run cold.

My first time here, wonderful food and super nice people running the place. You can definitely feel the family vibe here - it's very warm and welcoming. Cozy place in a shopping center with easy parking. I had the chicken lemon rice soup and a supreme bowl with gyro meat and a bunch of wonderful toppings! You decide whether you want a pita or a bowl, then you pick your protein, toppings and sauces, and any sides that you might like. If you still have room after your main course you can select from a number of delicious desserts. Everything is really super flavorful which I really appreciated. I can assure you the next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop here again. I recommend you give this place a try - I think you'll be very happy.

The Mediterranean Latte is my usual go-to, sweetened with honey (they offer other sugar substitutes as well!). It's like a warm hug. They always have several excellent seasonal flavors as well, so we try those every time. This winter, the Peppermint Mocha and the Cinnamon Latte are delightful. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. They remember us even tho we are only here twice a year, and I find that very sweet. We have had their bowls as well, all of which were good quality. There are lots of protein, topping, and sauce choices. They have grab n go desserts and some side dish items in the cooler with the sodas (they have Coke *and* Pepsi products). This location is clean, bright and warm with a clean restroom (for customers only) and some outdoor tables to enjoy in the warmer months. We have been and will be back many many more times to come!

The sign said closes at 9 pm and we got there by 8:15 pm and went to this drive thru that was not working for 5 mns. Finally my husband went inside to order carry out. They had to ask kitchen if they were still cooking food at 8:20 pm. They said yes and we ordered 3 gyros with fries. I proceeded to take pictures for my yelp review and a waitress came running to ask what I was doing and if I had permission to take pictures. She was a bit aggressive and asked me a lot of questions to why I was writing reviews and if I wrote bad ones and I was a bit confused. Am I not allowed to take pictures? She became much nicer after I explained to her the whole Yelp review thing. She said she heard of Yelp and even said she wanted to write reviews. Our wait was over 20 minutes. Around 8:30 pm, a mother and son came in and they declined their to go order. The sign says close at 9 pm so I felt bad for them. Our gyros were not good. The meat was burned and unflavorful. The pita was very thin like a tortilla but it was a pocket. It was dry and the sauce was also unflavorful. We all agreed that we will never go back. Our fries were also not good. They needed salt and were cold. I'm so sad because the last time I was here, 2 years ago, it was great! My mother in law told us that the restaurant was under new ownership. The food has not been good since. I wish I would have known. I think if they changed the time to 8:30 pm if they will turn people away before 9 pm. If they trained the wait staff customer service and not grill customers for writing reviews and seasoned their food, used good Tzatziki sauce and real pita bread; this place would back to awesome! Simple fixes to earn more stars.

They told me once that the special ingredient that makes them that way is marshmallow. If you're ordering carry-out, you might want to order on the phone rather than the website. They prioritize phone orders, or at least they did last time I asked. Online orders take longer to fill. And you get a discount for your birthday if you sign up for their texts. Fortunately, once my meal came I enjoyed it. The falafel was broken up and spread across the top so it mixed nicely with the tahini dressing. Lettuce and other veggies were crisp. I'd certainly order another, though I might wait until the warmer months. And I might order ahead too, as the sign over the counter advises that you may.
