Thick chewy crust, shit tons of cheese, nice amount of pepperoni under the cheese, and a nice tangy sauce. Myles 2.0? Pretty close.

Myles THIS, Myles THAT...Myles, Myles, Myles...yeah, yeah, yeah. So, ok, the pizza here is very similar to the pizza from (the locally famous but now defunct) Myles, which was located right across Wooster Street from BGSU. Note that Pizza Pub 516, which is currently located on the site of the former Myles, also has a very similar product, but HTP is MORE similar. What the hell does any of that mean? It means that Half Time Pizza serves pies with a crust is that is thick and chewy. It means that the sauce is ample, tangy, and not too sweet. It means that there are plenty of toppings situated between the sauce and the cheese. (I'm not saying that the toppings are crazy plentifully, like pies from Village Idiot, but the toppings are there.) But mostly what "Myles-like" means, is CHEESE. It means lots of good cheese, perfectly cooked...and it means shit tons of it. Let the words "double cheese" never be uttered while ordering a pizza from Half Time Pizza. I, and my family, really liked this pizza. 20 bucks for a large 1/2 pep, and 1/2 Hawaiian might seem a little steep, but for your dough, you get a LOT of dough (and sauce, and toppings, and CHEESE!) This pie fed me and my kids for approximately 2.5 meals. The big, repeat, BIG problem with this establishment is the wait time. Maybe it's a COVID-19 thing? Now, I'm familiar with the expression: "Good things come to boys who wait," but waiting for 1 to 2 hours (or longer) for a pie is crazy! Ain't no way cooking time is THAT long. There's just no way in the world that I'm planning that far ahead for pizza. HTP needs to invest in another oven, and, and maybe more help. There's a full "pizza parlor menu," with subs, salads, etc. I haven't tried any of these yet. All in all, it's exciting to have another good pizza option in this part of town. It's right on my way home. But, man, those wait times. It's true that one's ability to delay gratification is roughly proportionate to one's IQ...so, I guess I'm a dumb ass because I probably won't be ordering too many pies from Half Time Pizza. I can't wait that long. I'm not getting any younger. 4 stars!

Listen, I spent my years at BG devouring Myles pizza. My heart broke when they closed and Half Time pieced it back together, applied a generous amount of cheese and heated it up. I am now restored again to my fat kid self knowing that Myles memory is served well by this fine establishment. Cheese on top of cheese. Meat on top of meat and finally a good strong crust to make sure that cheese and meat are ushered safely to your mouth. Absolutely worth the investment if you love a hearty northern Ohio Pizza. Take a seat Chicago because the mighty mega pizza is back and if I have anything to do with it... here to stay! Good job Half Time you have a winning recipe flying through those ovens.

Dinned in for the first time today and was very impressed. Dinning area looks updated and clean. We ordered a medium cheese pizza and breadsticks. Breadsticks came out first with Ranch and Marinara for dipping and they were delicious. The ranch tastes like the ranch from campus polleyes, which is my favorite! The pizza then came out and looked amazing! Super cheesy, you have to eat the first couple of bites with a knife and fork. Easily now one of my favorite pizza places. Was very impressed with the food and the service. We will be back!

One of the best pizzas you could eat!

I made the mistake of ordering the strawberry cupcake thing dessert. Go to pick up. No dessert. I had to inquire why no dessert. Oh we are out. Do u want to try xyz? No sir. So do u want ur money back? Well yeah. Acted like it was a chore. That charleston pizza with the cheddar cheese made it forgivable. Ordered next time a pizza n sausage. Epic fail. Sat in the fridge for 5 days. Just ordered the charleston again sub some spicy pizza sauce. It looks nothing like the first Charleston. Tastes ok but nothing special. Check my pics. The parking lot is full of pot holes so be careful and very tight parking. For $20 for a medium pizza it should be darn good to compete with the million pizza places we have here. I will be heading back to village idiot. Just better bang for ur buck n tastes the same every time

I'm more of a detroit style pizza fan, but as far as thin crust goes it's some of the best in Toledo. There are a lot of specialty pizzas to choose from. I've been trying one each time I order. Tonight was bbq brisket. It's a top seller, and as much as I love brisket this pizza wasn't it for me. There was a lot of sauce, but not much meat. It needs some onions or some additional toppings. A scant amount of brisket and just bbq sauce and cheese leaves it feeling unfinished. I ended up throwing some red onion and banana peppers on top to jazz it up.

I haven't had a truly great pizza in Ohio yet--there are more below-average spots than average ones--so I had high hopes for Stubborn Brothers. After finally trying it, I can say it's the best pizza I've had in Ohio so far. I still wouldn't call it "great," but it's a very solid pizza. The standout for me was definitely the crust--that part was great. However, I was disappointed with the sauce; it was pretty bland and didn't taste like it was made from high-quality tomatoes (such as San Marzano tomatoes). On half of the pizza I ordered pepperoni, and again, it didn't strike me as a high-quality pepperoni. In closing, I'm glad I tried Stubborn Brother and would rank it at the top of my Ohio pizza list so far, mainly because of the crust. Next up on my list is Charlie Anderson's place in downtown Cleveland, "Good Pizza" (2057 E 4th Street, Cleveland, OH). To date, the closest and best overall pizza I've found is still "Tomatoes Apizza" in the Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills (The original location: 29275 W 14 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI).

We ordered the twice baked garlic rolls, as well as a customizable pizza where we added bacon, mushroom, and pepperoni. We ordered a Coke and a Toledo sunrise for drinks. The twice baked garlic rolls were left to be desired. The ends were crispy but the middle just felt soggy. I wish it was actually twice baked. However, the pizza came out with really nice flavour as well as nice bottom crust. Beverages were beverages. Overall sports bar vibes..
