I love the location of Swig being downtown in Perrysburg. They have a cool atmosphere and service was great and offer a big menu of things to choose from. I really wanted to like the food from this place, but this burger was mediocre. It came with a singular piece of raw onion on it, and there wasn't really any flavor. It said on menu something about grilled onions and got none of that taste or if they were even there. The garlic parm fries were soggy and no real flavor, some crispy ones were good. The meal just felt a bit too greasy for me. I would give this place a go, it's got a lot to choose from but if you like things crispy I would definitely ask for special attention to it! Cute place for sure.

Stopped into this place over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. It's on the smaller side so I was told to get there before 10 on the weekends because it does get crowded. We sat up at the bar and had a great time and found seating quick. I had the rotisserie chicken pita and it was so good with the sweet potato tots. My friend had the pierogi and she said it was really good as well. I will definitely be back when I come to see my friend again in Ohio.

My husband and I ate lunch here and it was excellent. We got the scotch eggs and chili to start. For our meals I got the 41Niner and he got the Italian sausage. We shared some fries. Everything was cooked well and delicious! Service was great. Our waitress refilled our drinks frequently and was attentive. We sat in the heated patio and we were very comfortable. We will be back for sure!

Everytime I go the service is excellent. Seating options are great, whether you sit at the bar, a table, or out on the patio. The prices are great for what you get. The food is hot, the beer is cold. Thay offer a large selection of beers.

We were traveling to bowling green and this spot was recommended all over the internet and by locals. It certainly didn't disappoint. The wings were AMAZING! I went with the buffalo garlic and they were perfect blends of both. Others at the table also raved about their wings. Another person at our table got the pierogi poutine and that smelled fantastic (she said it was great). They charge extra for the celery and dressing - we didn't see that anywhere on the menu - but it was in our bill. As an FYI. It was an interesting space and somewhat tight, but if I am ever back in Bowling Green, I would certainly eat here again!

If you fit into a specific yuppie or eclectic mold, this is your place. Not so much for me.

Lechon Lime Pulled Pork Sandwich - Excellent!

My wife and I are in town on business; as usual, Yelp found us in a good spot. The Swig reminds me of some of the small restaurants in New Orleans. They have a great beer selection which is available on the TV Screen, Chalk Board, or QR Code. The Menu is not large, but there is a good variety to choose from. My wife had the Cheese Burger, and I had the pulled pork special. "Lechon Lime Sandwich: Slow Cooked Pulled Pork, Cilantro Lime Crema, Pickled Carrots and Onions, Crumbled Cotija Cheese, and Fresh Cilantro Brioche." As you can see, the chef has a lot going on here; it seems like there is a lot of talent BOH. The sandwich was awesome, and the staff was great. If we are back in the area, we will be back.

WOW... This is what eating out is all about... What an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful. The environment was great. The food was awesome. I would stop back again. I had the sausage platter which had 3 different sausages, sauerkraut, sweet and sour cabbage, and pierogies which is a lot of food but just awesome. Wify had the Kobe butter burger with sweet potatoe tots which she really loved. This place is amazing

    Chocolate Covered Bacon Sundae

A quick google search lead me to Swig for a late night dinner after driving in from another state. Swig has a college town feel to it. Not sure if this is an actual college town, but the restaurant was full and lively. The menu has lots of unique offerings. That's what made me want to try it. I ordered the Duck Reuben with the Sweet Potato Tots. Both were so incredibly good that I would actually drive back to get it again if given the opportunity. I appreciate quirky so I ordered the chocolate covered bacon Sundae. It was large! I liked the sundae overall, but certainly couldn't finish it. I'd try a different dessert next time. I ordered a cocktail too. I can't remember the name. It was way too citrusy and tart for my taste. Always a risk for me when ordering non-traditional drinks so I do not fault Swig on that. The presentation was lackluster though. I hope to be able to come back and try more of the menu some day!

We arrived 45 minutes before closing, and the host asked if we'd like to sit in the bar where they offer the full menu. Saying yes was fine until the last 15 minutes. A better choice would have been to sit in the dining room. We started off with drinks, V ordered a Mai Tai, and I had a Tequila something or other. The drinks tasted good, if I were a betting person, I'd say that they touched the ice with alcohol, and that's about it. I don't drink very often, so I always know if a drink contains a meaningful amount of alcohol. They brought out a warmed puff bread. It was unique for sure, and tasted good too. Our appatiser was Lobster Tail served on a bed of vinegar-based coleslaw with miso or something similar. The flavors worked together fabulously. V's entree was a beef stir fry. He said it was ok, but nothing special. He also ordered the Smoked Gouda & Rosemary Mac & Cheese with bacon. That side dish was very tasty, but overpowered my entree, though it paired well with his beef. I had the Miso Halibut, which came over with Sweet Chili Bok Choy and Jasmine Rice. This entree had perfectly paired flavors; I'd certainly like to have it again. Our waitress was friendly and attentive; we couldn't ask for better service. All of the food was amazing, but hands down the table favorite was honestly the whipped feta. It's what dreams are made of! It had a slightly spicy oil topper, and delicious crostini! The only note I would give, is that the bacon appetizer really needs to come with a steak knife for sharing. It was a little too hard to cut with just the butter knife. Steaks and sides are all prepared perfectly, the button mushrooms were a hit as well. I would completely recommend this restaurant to anyone, and will return again if I'm back in the area.

We then decided to make the drive to Levi's Commons hoping to take in some incredible ice sculptures. Most of the sculptures we saw at both locations were business logos... a bit of a disappointment. We decided to take a chance on trying Perrysburger's in downtown Perrysburg beacuse it was later in the afternoon. I had been there a few times several years ago not long after this eatery opened their doors. We were immediately seated and while we were looking over the menus, all the other tables were subsequently filled and a line began to develop. We timed our visit perfectly! We ordered Fungus Amongus and Let's Brie Friends burgers along with the unending fries. Small restaurant with only a handful of tables, one server, and the grill chef - that's it. Burgers were well seasoned and good tasting. In my opinion, these burgers were on the medium-well side of the spectrum, so a bit over done for me. The fries = yum! Reminded me of a shoestring type version of Berardi's in Sandusky Ohio. These fries were nicely seasoned and done to what I would call, perfection! Even with every tabled filled and a line of hungry patrons, the food did not take an inordinate amount time to be served. Impulse purchase homemade cookies were located at the register. We obliged and purchases one of each flavor - choc chunk and oatmeal with butterscotch and walnuts. Mad Anthony's: A Dive Bar That Feels Like Home…read more Walking into Mad Anthony's feels like slipping into your favorite flannel shirt--warm, familiar, and a little rough around the edges, but in the best way. It's a dive bar that knows exactly what it is, and it leans into it unapologetically. The beer is cheap, cold, and endless, just the way nature intended. The regulars are the kind of people who will call you "buddy" before they even know your name, and by the end of the night, you might just have a nickname you didn't ask for but secretly love. The building itself is historic, though no one's quite sure how old it actually is--just old enough to have stories, and maybe a few ghosts, if you believe the guy on the corner stool. The crooked pool table in the back adds a layer of excitement (or frustration) to your game, and the food situation? Let's just say they've perfected the fine art of the toaster oven. A hotdog or frozen pizza has never tasted better, especially when served with the kind of charm only a dive bar can muster. And then there's the bathroom. This is where Mad Anthony's truly shines. They've cracked the code to dive-bar bathroom management by making sure the urinals are always packed with ice. It's a quirky, borderline genius trick that keeps the place from smelling like regret, and honestly, it's a level of thoughtfulness you wouldn't expect but deeply appreciate. The lighting is dark, but not "what-did-I-just-sit-on" dark--just enough to make everyone look a little cooler and keep the vibe cozy. Mad Anthony's doesn't try to impress, and that's exactly why it does. It's imperfect in all the right ways, and if you're looking for a bar that feels like an old friend, this is the place.
