Bacon Mac and cheese with chicken

We stayed at the Holiday Inn with this restaurant attached. I had the fajitas trios and a margarita my wife had the bacon Mac and cheese with chicken. OMG everything was delicious. Margarita was top shelf and we split desert. Definitely a good choice and we'll be back.

What a great stop. This place is a hidden gem, placed off the beaten path in the Holiday Inn. Bright clean and lots of seating options. The service was great and quick. The place wasn't super busy for a Saturday night which made it good for quick seating and service. All the staff was working with patrons or cleaning. The place is bright and clean. The food was plentiful and great tasting. If we came back through this would be a stop for us to make. Also nice to get away from some of the commercial food on the main strip.

There are 15 Ground Round locations across the northern US. This is the story of the Perrysburg, Ohio, one. It sits in a Holiday Inn across the street from a Kroger. It's not well-marked - unless you know it's there, you won't know it's there. Ladyfriend and I, planning a swing through NW Ohio, saw one of the few Grounds Round remaining was nearby and I became a little obsessed with visiting, probably out of some kitsch thing. So went on a Thursday night, 6 pm. On entering, it's brightly lit and done in light colors. All the other patrons appeared to be retirees. Very Perkins-y vibe. The place was 75% empty. Our server, Erin, was fine and friendly and seemingly a little overworked as she might've been the only server. We both got chicken club salads - mine Buffalo style - at $14 each. Big salads but freezer burned lettuce and diced tomato were the extent of the vegetables. The $6 crock of French onion soup was decent. A nice browning of the cheese on top. One pint of Southern Tier pumking was $9. So $43 for a perfectly meh meal. If I lived in Perrysburg would I go back? Eh, probly not.

I used to go to The Ground Round years ago and loved it. However they closed and I didn't think there were any around anymore, until we heard of the one in Perrysburg. It's not like the ones from the '70s and 80's but they still have fantastic burgers. We went on a Tuesday night with another couple because they had a buy one burger get one free special. We all loved our burgers. My only complaint was the atmosphere is not conducive to a date night. Bright lights and no ambiance. There were a couple families there so it's perfect for them. Our waitress was very friendly, too.

We ate here on opening night. The food was great. Husband ordered a long island and it was absolutely huge and he said very good. We also started off the night with the nacho app. My only complaint on it is they needed to give you more of the sauce for it. Other than that, it was very good. I ordered the trio fajitas so I could try all three meats with it. Good. The flavor was great but it needed a sauce or something to spice it up. Husband ordered steak which was cooked to his temp perfectly. The steak quality itself was fine but he stated the mashed potatoes were fantastic. And lastly, the dessert. We ordered the trio and OMG The brownies and the fried oreos were absolutely killer. Best dessert I have had in a long time. Couple the great food with the fact that its right by our house, we will def be going back regularly.

Presentation was much better before my kiddo touched it yummy kids pizza n fries

We stopped for the night and stayed in the Holiday Inn. We were so tired and thankful that this place was attached to the hotel. But let me tell you, the entire menu looked delicious and everything we ordered was magnificent!!! Soo yummy and worth it! You dont have to stay in the hotel to enjoy this delicious place!! So come in for a meal or order out, they can do both! We would definitely come back here!! We almost debated staying an extra night just to have a second chance at trying something else on the menu!

With Ralphies burning to the ground, Ground Round is a much needed upgrade for this area of the Burg. Clean and new environment and even with the limited menu, there are lots of great choices try out. A little more of a premium price to the entrees but nothing unreasonably priced. Looking forward to several more meals at the Ground Round

I just ate it and didnt say anything. The pizza has a similar crust to That place in Maumee everyone loves. The rest of the food was decent and I'll return to try some more of their menu. They had several TVs with sports balls on and a table with assorted games to be played. Great rainy day bar.

It's in a shopping Center Plaza kind of off of the main road. I have been before but just for a beer. We sat at the bar area and the bartender was really nice. Sorry I didn't get her name. You can tell there's a lot of regulars that come here but we were treated just the same. They have about 10 taps and had a few ipas on there for me. What I really like is the prices. An IPA for $5? Can't hardly find that anymore. So we had two rounds of beer each and got two appetizers. I spinach dip and some pepperoni egg rolls. Both were actually really good. Spinach dip could use some more seasoning but that just seems to be the case almost everywhere anymore. Food came out fast and was delivered hot. Beer was Ice cold. It's kind of a small spot so you're either going to sit at the bar or at one of the few tables that are around the bar area. Lots of TVs around the bar. $31 for both of us. I do recommend.

Mad Anthony's: A Dive Bar That Feels Like Home…read more Walking into Mad Anthony's feels like slipping into your favorite flannel shirt--warm, familiar, and a little rough around the edges, but in the best way. It's a dive bar that knows exactly what it is, and it leans into it unapologetically. The beer is cheap, cold, and endless, just the way nature intended. The regulars are the kind of people who will call you "buddy" before they even know your name, and by the end of the night, you might just have a nickname you didn't ask for but secretly love. The building itself is historic, though no one's quite sure how old it actually is--just old enough to have stories, and maybe a few ghosts, if you believe the guy on the corner stool. The crooked pool table in the back adds a layer of excitement (or frustration) to your game, and the food situation? Let's just say they've perfected the fine art of the toaster oven. A hotdog or frozen pizza has never tasted better, especially when served with the kind of charm only a dive bar can muster. And then there's the bathroom. This is where Mad Anthony's truly shines. They've cracked the code to dive-bar bathroom management by making sure the urinals are always packed with ice. It's a quirky, borderline genius trick that keeps the place from smelling like regret, and honestly, it's a level of thoughtfulness you wouldn't expect but deeply appreciate. The lighting is dark, but not "what-did-I-just-sit-on" dark--just enough to make everyone look a little cooler and keep the vibe cozy. Mad Anthony's doesn't try to impress, and that's exactly why it does. It's imperfect in all the right ways, and if you're looking for a bar that feels like an old friend, this is the place.

Iv'e been a number of times in the past and always recommend trying their Pub Dip *chefs kiss* This visit, my husband and I stopped in for a lunch as we were passing through the area. I had to order their Meatball Pizza as it's a favorite of mine! The fresh Ricotta and Meatball chunks play nicely off each other. They make their ranch in house so I also always order a side of it to dip my pizza in. My husband got the Melty Mozzarella Sandwich after hearing their soup of the day was tomato bisque. I liked that the sandwich came with more elements than just bread and cheese to freshen it up. Overall, this is a prime spot to visit when in Perrysburg!
