Always excellent food & atmosphere and good customer service ..I've never had a bad experience there..

We loved the food and the local atmosphere. Lots of happy patrons and even the mayor. The service was attentive.

Recently back in town and visited this hometown favorite (2X) for dinner & lunch. I had never been, but family members recommended. Friendly vibe, good prices & neighborhood atmosphere makes u feel like one of the regulars. Decent menu with a variety of the norm bar foods, and some not so normal. First time did the not so norm with a Taco Salad and Chicken Parm - both were okay, the meat seemed like the same for both, but overall it took care of the hunger while we sipped on cold beer. We were told to not miss fish Friday and come early (we did) highly recommend the same to anyone in the area. The fish (we did both perch & walleye) were delicious and for the price it would be our every Friday stop if we lived closer. Definitely will be back for the Fish !!! read more

Rossford local legend. GREAT burgers, delicious Moe balls (my fave, spud balls), and just about everything you could want in bar food. Always good food, great bartenders & servers, and fun, chill atmosphere for after work. I am not usually there too late, and my understanding is it gets a little more lively later in the evening. A decent local greasy dive if you're desperately hungry after a night of drinking and there's nothing else open or if you're just in the bar doing karaoke and you want some simple Bar food then go for Moes. Just know that this place can be a bit clicky with the Rossfordians whom love to drink gossip, & play pool. read more

We stumbled upon Moe's somewhat by accident. Door Dash (delivery service) has recently arrived in Toledo, it was late, we were starving and as my wife looked at our options, Moe's place popped up. Our friends recommended we try it, and once again we were starving so we said OK! 30ish minutes later, piping hot food from Rossford Ohio made it's way to the Old West End neighborhood in Toledo and we couldn't have been more pleased. I loved the fish, my wife loved the chicken chunks (called Moe's Balls.... ugh) and even the fried pickles were great! The next day when it came time to grab some lunch, we decided to do an in-person visit to check things out. The bar is crazy dimly lit, and on a random Friday the place was weirdly packed with obvious regulars, as well as the local high school football team (weird.) We loved our food again, as well as the super friendly and welcoming service aaaaaaaaand the bloody mary's. Long story short, this has instantly become part of our regular round of lunch spots in the Toledo area. Definitely the Service by only 1 specific waitress! She apparently hates her job and is agitated when you order. We love the food and atmosphere however she really puts a damper on being relaxed and enjoying yourself. read more

Other reviewers are right! Moe's has the hole in the wall down pat. Place is covered in graffiti, pool table, ample seating, TVs with tons of sports. Perfect. Even better you can eat Pizza Cat in the place. Thanks for a great relationship and taking the time to serve us drinks! read more

We stopped into Moe's before a hockey game on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered 2 appetizers to share and several ordered sandwiches. A few ordered nothing because they were so grossed out by the filthy menus that had food stains on them. The Mac and cheese bites were not great - mushy inside with very little macaroni. They tasted like they were fried in the same oil as several other things.The onion rings were tasty. My husband had a burger which he enjoyed. Another member of our party got a grilled ham and cheese which was burnt. We all agreed that we would probably not be returning. read more

About once a month, I get together for lunch with a group of fellow dads from the local school district. Since I am working in downtown Toledo this week, everyone graciously agreed to change locations from our usual Bowling Green to Rossford. One of the dads grew up in Rossford, so he was in charge of selecting the restaurant; he said, "the best food in Rossford is at Moe's Place." The first challenge was getting there. Not only was half of downtown Rossford closed for road resurfacing (which means no street parking), but even parking lots seemed to be few and far between. Once I finally got to the restaurant, I immediately came to two conclusions: a) the lighting level was set to something between 'a candle in Mammoth Cave' and 'air raid blackout,' and b) I now understood why seven different Yelp reviews called it a dive bar. We eventually groped our way in the darkness to an unoccupied table, then using our phones to illuminate the menus, selected our drinks and meal orders. I picked the Monday lunch special: Moe Ball Monday and a Coke. With tax, my lunch total came to $6.69, which is pretty inexpensive. For as busy as Moe's was, our orders came out pretty quickly. I found the Moe Balls to be good; nothing fancy, but good. One of the other dads did not want his side of coleslaw, so I also ate that, and found it to be excellent! Our waitress, Sarah, was pretty attentive, and provided everyone with multiple refills. I would have taken a photo of my Moe Balls to go with this review, but my phone said "no way, man!" about taking a non-flash picture, and there was no way I was going to draw unnecessary attention to myself by using flash photography in a dive bar! PROS: good straightforward food, great prices, and reasonably attentive staff CONS: parking was not fun, "dive bar" is not my typical go-to description for lunch spots, and not to sound like my grandpa, but turn on some damn lights! Stopped in for lunch this Sunday with my wife, two year old and some extended family. Moe's is one of the few places to eat in downtown Rossford and what we heard was the best. Melissa welcomed us right away and sat us. She was not only was our waitress, but she also ran the bar as well and she did it deftly. We let her know we had just moved to the city from Columbus. She was super nice, welcoming and went over the menu with us to give us a few suggestions. We got a few fried apps ( super good) and a few variations of Moe's balls. All of the food was well made and tasted great. This is why I wanted to move back to a city with a small town atmosphere. I am not much on drinking but I could see my family eating there once a week. Moe's is your typical dive bar, where many locals hang out and the servers seem to know almost everyone. While some of the food isn't anything to write home about (like the fries), Moe's Balls, which are really fried chicken chunks, are the best item on the menu. They offer a variety of creative ways to serve them up, but I like to keep it simple and stick with honey barbeque. It doesn't look like much outside (or inside - ha!), but it's a reliable choice to grab a beer, watch the game, and get some decent food for a great price. read more

This is your typical "hole in the wall" place that is located in the middle of the block. If I hadn't read all of the excellent reviews of this place, I'd have very likely passed it by. I'm very glad I didn't!! I had a seat at the bar and was immediately greeted with a welcome and asked what I was drinking. I ordered a beer and was looking through the menu. I asked what these "Moe's balls" were that took up an entire page. They are bits of chicken that are lightly breaded and deep fried with your choice of sauce and toppings. I ordered the loaded Moe's balls. They were FANTASTIC!! I'd DEFINITELY recommend this place and plan to come back on my next trip to T town. read more

Moe's Place in Toledo (Rossford) reminds me of Miller's Bar in Dearborn. It's a great little dive bar with really great food, cheap prices and some really awful service unless you're a regular. It's about a mile down the road from the Hollywood Casino. First of all the burgers are wonderful, fresh and juicy. The Flaming Moe is the star of the menu here. The only place I found to be better is Miller's Bar in Dearborn, MI. They are not the same but quality wise, very close. I also got the waffle fries and a couple Yuengling Black and Tans.....all for under $12. The service....ehh. Same as last time. They got my food and weren't particularly friendly about it. The blonde woman was friendliest and the older brunette was borderline rude. She was actually rude to the guy next to me. I bet he saved himself some money by not having a reason to tip her. If they were nicer, they'd be a solid 4 stars but they're not so it's 3. read more

Great breakfast and bloody Mary's! In town for the Great Lakes Museum and stumbled upon this place. It is a local bar but at 9:30 am no one seemed to mind or noticed. Hope to stop back for lunch or dinner. read more

Been there several times in past ... wasn't to bad. Went there for dinner made reservations...still had to wait.. made reservation for 8 showed up at 7:53 they said "we just gave your table away"... We had large party... so had to wait till other people left ..45 minutes. Went there the following Sat for breakfast... owners wife waited on us...HORRIBLE service....wrong attitude. As far as the food ....asked for eggs over medium ...got them extra snottey (runny).... Breakfast Billy is hit or miss. For good wait service they need to bring Racheal back and fire the owners wife. read more

The doctor at the office that I was working atloves the patty melt so I tried it...Delish. I got it a couple of times. Went and sat down one day for lunch and it was extremely busy. The waitress had a hard time keeping up, but It was understandable. A nice dive bar to try. read more

If you're looking for an affordable night out, try Moe's! Yes, it's a dive. But not in a bad way. There's lots of locals and some families with kids around dinner time. Tables were clean. Staff was friendly. Cheap drinks and food but still good quality. The burgers are excellent. I had the black bean burger and found that it was very tasty and didn't fall apart like a lot of other veggie burgers do. The waffle fries are seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sweet potato tots are good but they give you a very small serving. I only have two complaints. 1.) We ordered the pretzel bites and the cheese in the middle was still cold even though they had been deep fried. Possibly the deep fryer was working overtime that night and wasn't given enough time between frying to get back to the proper temperature. 2.) The waitress kind of rushed us out even though there were empty tables. We could have easily stayed and ordered another round of drinks. Those are two very minor complaints. Trust me, I'll be back! After 4 huge beers, two meals and an appetizer our bill was only $29. It's hard to beat that! read more

This place is a great smaller laid back place to go. The age group varies mostly mid twenties to fifties visit. No younger wild youngins are there usually. Very friendly with a juke box in front and back, back being where the single pool table is located. The drinks are very reasonably priced for all your drinking needs. They also serve some of the greatest bar food ive ever had. Its a full service kitchen. Try the flaming moe burger! Bar top games, few arcade games, bar room tv's for your enjoyment. Overall it's a great place to have some drinks and eat without a wild atmosphere. read more
