Carry out burgers this time from Delta 109. Normally we stop in but this time choose take out. Kudos to the cook! There are good burgers and there are great burgers and these both were great. Cooked perfectly with a nicely grilled bun. Fresh shredded lettuce, tomato and sliced pickle added. Plentiful fries browned and seasoned well. A 10-15 minute promise and everything was ready. Condiments, plastic ware and napkins also sufficient. Price is reasonable and on Mondays they offer a burger special. Specials are offered on other days also. I have eaten at 109 3 times in the past year. My friends from Delta are very loyal to the place. All three times, the food was really bad. I have ordered the salads with chicken, and last night I had the Korean bbq chicken sandwich. The chicken was so tough I couldn't bite through it. I tried to cut it up and it was even hard to eat with a knife and fork. I left most of it. The server was obviously very busy, so the service was extremely indifferent. She never asked us if everything was alright. I sat with an empty water glass and wine glass for 20 minutes. My plate was full when she picked it up to clear, and she didn't even notice. After the brown lettuce and green egg on the salad I had the last visit, I swore I wouldn't be back, but my friends are loyal customers. I think the cheap happy hour drinks keep them coming back. Went in for Wednesday prime rib night. Being in a tavern I asked for a draft list. After selecting a beer from it she brings me a 12oz can for the same price as a 16oz draft pour. I was then informed "none of our beers are on draft." Disappointed I reluctantly ordered food anyway. The specials menu was jumbled and poorly put together. Once I figured out what the prices were, I ordered the prime rib and a water. For the sides , garlic mashed potatoes, and green beans. After a considerable wait , the "steak" came out on a large plate, but unfortunately the majority of it was fat. Now I understand prime rib is typically a fattier cut, but this was ridiculous. I would have brought it to my servers attention but I didn't see her again until all plates were empty, and I was starving so I ate what I could. Flavor was good but , there wasn't much meat, and the sides were both small and simply drenched with butter to substitute the flavor. When I finally saw my waitress again, when asked how everything was, I politely pointed out how much fat was on the "steak". She replied "well that's what you get here". I kindly asked for the bill. Delta, Ohio? Yes! And coming here is worth the trip. The restaurant is a gem in this rural community. Walking in you noticed the beautiful brick walls of years ago. They are decorated with items of sports, games, and music nicely arranged. The menu is filled with sandwiches, salads and dinners. Monday nights is $10 big classic burger night. Those looked delicious. I had to get the liver dinner. Tender beef liver heaped with onions was what the doctor ordered. So good. It was a hardy portion, and I ate the entire meal. The beer list had a variety, including my favorite stouts and ales. My friends and I got Great Lakes' seasonal Cookie Exchange milk stout. It was dark, thick and creamy with every swallow. What a treat. But wait! The adjourning room has group dining in the back. A full bar with stools is in the middle, and more dining in the front. Look at the ceiling. There's a complete drum set hanging there! Summertime you can enjoy the large patio and the entertainment. This is definitely my go-to when I'm in the area. read more

We just moved to Delta and I've eaten here a couple times. We enjoy their food whether it's a slow casual lunch with friends over salad. To having our family reunion and their back large room which we greatly enjoyed! Delta 109 and their employees have really made our family feel welcome. read more

We wanted to try a new restaurant so we traveled to Delta to the 109 and after about 20 minutes of being seated we had to ask for someone to take our order. We were served water and coffee and after another 15 minutes someone took our order of a fish strip appetizer and sandwiches. The waitress apologized for the kitchen because they were slammed and they were way behind. Our appetizer of fish strips came but they were so rubbery and chewy we sent them back and they were kind enough to take it off our bill. Another 15 minutes went by and our sandwiches arrived and they got my wife's order wrong and both were over cooked and tough. My wife did say her side salad was good though. So all told we spent an hour and a half only to get a poor meal. read more

Hit or miss on food. Sometimes it's very tasty and sometimes they are obviously trying to get rid of leftovers. And please don't let the chef (that one that looks unshowered) walk around and stare from the server station. Great look and feel inside and out. Service was very tip-worthy I would look to change the menu more and reduce dish count. When does a new menu become old? I'd say 1 year for a location like Delta. or you will slowly become The Gathering (Place). read more

This is a cool place downtown on the Main Street with lots of interesting decor. The location is in the former Delta Atlas newspaper building (you can request the Atlas Room, which is a more private nook in the dining area.) Two dining rooms or you can sit at the bar. Lots of locals. The service is down home and outstanding. We had the burgers which were the Monday night special, large, well prepared and lots of fixings. Fries were good and the House Special Potatoes even better. My only regret and recommendation was getting my burger cooked medium. It had a faint smell of uncooked beef and was a little undercooked. In hindsight, I should have sent it back, but overall it was fine. My wife's burger was perfect - ordered medium well. read more

We have been there two times this month and I cannot say enough that the food was excellent service was excellent. It was a very clean restaurant and bar. The first time we sat in the main dining room and had a late lunch. Everything was so wonderful that we came back a week later in the evening for dinner and sat at the bar. They have a very nice selection of liquor and beer as well . It is about an hour and a half drive but well worth it for us. read more

We stopped to this place on our mini road trip and I got the Philly cheese steak and it was AMAZING! Lots of meat and loved the peppers and onion with it and the cheese pull was great! My huge head of broccoli was seasoned and pretty good. You have to get John's potatoes as a side, they were good with the veggies and cheese mixed in. We took it To go but the servers and hostess? Veronica was very sweet. Patio had live music which was nice to hear and the inside reminded me of an old Italian restaurant but everyone was eating at the bar or the patio. So, I've been really torn on how to write this review for over a week now. I'll explain as I write this review. First, my dad picked Delta 109 as the place for his birthday dinner. My dad and mom constantly rave about how amazing the prime rib is here. Well, after a week's anticipation and waiting to devour some delicious prime rib, my dad, my mom, and I were disappointed to find that they did not have any prime rib available the day that we arrived (that's the first thing I'm torn about). So after scurrying to find something else on the menu, my husband and I were delighted to see that they were offering a seasonal Oktoberfest menu! My husband and I went to Oktoberfest in Germany a few years ago so we are always excited to explore new German restaurants and food. We both ordered the schnitzel, spatzle, and salad. The salad and spatzle were amazing! The spatzle was hands down the best spatzle I have ever had aside from the spatzle I had when we were in Germany. The schnitzel was by far the worst schnitzel I've ever had (this is the second thing that I'm torn about). The schnitzel was so thin and extremely overcooked that it was difficult to cut into as well as chew. I'm torn because I appreciate that they offered a seasonal menu for Oktoberfest; however, they did not deliver the meat well. My dad said that his smothered pork chops were also overcooked. Aside from those things, everything else was pleasant! When you walk into the restaurant, you instantly feel at home. The environment and decor make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Our server was super friendly and kind too. The salad that came with all of our meals was great! They dress the salad up with all of the fixins - lettuce, cherry tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, black olives, cheese, and pepperoni. It was delish! I also tried John's potatoes from my dad's plate. Those were really good and flavorful too! My mom had the chicken bayou which she really liked and my daughter had the kids grilled cheese and fries. I ended up eating half of my daughter's plate since I wasn't a fan of the schnitzel and really enjoyed her meal. Lol. The grilled cheese was cooked to perfection and the fries were nice and crisp. My dad and husband also tried the carrot cake for dessert. Both said that it was super yummy. I definitely want to come back to try their prime rib; however, will be waiting for a while as my parents are now back in Florida and we live in Columbus. I hope that I'll get a chance to update my review when they return next spring/summer! read more

This place is super unassuming, but it's a gem. Highly recommend their fried mushroom appetizer, boneless wings in house sauce, and John's potatoes! Also check out their all you can eat fish fridays and soup and salad bar. It's delicious. In the warmer months their lit patio is perfect to eat and watch the cars slowly roll by. This restaurant is amazing. It is so very clean and such a warm friendly atmosphere. They have daily specials and on Tuesday is Mexican Day. The taco salad is the best I have ever tasted. They make their own shells. Margaritas are very good as well. Also, don't miss tasting the Onion Rings. Hand dipped and just perfect. They are fresh and so good. Stopped in while visiting a friend. The place is nice and the service was really good. The menu has a decent variety, not a ton to pick from but they had enough. The quality of the food was pretty decent. I got the prime rib sandwich which I assumed would be sliced roast beef, but I was wrong in a good way. The prime rib was actually a large slice of fresh meat. Rather tasty with the nice warm au jus. I would recommend coming here. Repeat visit on 7/5/2021 4:30 pm. Wonderful meal enjoyed by all in our party of 6. I am addicted to onion rings, and these are the best I've ever had. They are HUGE!!!. You will get 3 if you order them with a sandwich, and that is probably 1 too many. I ordered the appetizer (9), and was very glad I had friends to share them with. The plus was that they were piping HOT when served! The only minor complaint is...it's all just too much (great!) food, especially for us old folks. You might as well ask for a to-go box right at the start. Odds are you'll need it. Our server must have a near-perfect memory because she wrote nothing down and got it almost right.
