Amaretto Sour
Lexi M.

Wow! This is the place to get a proper drink. It was my first timing coming and me and my coworkers came in for an after dinner drink. The ambiance inside and outside on their back deck, was nothing short of perfection! Their selection of bourbon, whiskey and rye was unbelievable. I had ordered an Amaretto Sour, but the way they made it was the original way to make it. Megan made a FANTASTIC drink I can't wait to go back!

My wife was having surgery in Bluffton so checked out the bourbon scene locally and this was my stop. Great atmosphere, the music, the bartenders dressed taking it seriously with fun! Loved the vibe. Sat at the bar and the bartenders were engaging and chill. I ordered the Luke's Bourbon n Smoke. Very well done! Great mix and balance. Would def order again and felt it was priced right. Will come back! Love it.

If you're at all serious about bourbons, The Bourbon Affair is for you, but even if you are not, chances are you will be after drinking here so it's good for you too. I first have to say that the nearby street parking, being a city imposed "mandatory reverse angle" must have some merit, rhyme or reason to it. However, whatever that might be totally escapes me. It's generally the craziest thing I've ever come across. The only thing I can think of is that it avoids having to back up if you are leaving drunk, which might be a good thing. Upon entering The Bourbon Affair I was given a warm greeting and smile by the staff. It was if they were really enjoying what they were doing and really in fact appreciated my patronage. It's a greeting like this that sets the tone for ones experiences and their greeting couldn't have been more warm or friendly. I began by a review of their whiskey inventory. I must say, the sheer size, extent and selections gave me the OMG's I've died and gone to whiskey heaven. Not only do they have bourbons, but classes of American, Irish, Scotch and Canadian along with a really splendid selection of ryes. Then, there is a good wine list, but one of the best of all lists, being their signature as well as standards in cocktails. I started off with a Manhattan classically done with a rye, in this case a top notch Bulleit with a Carpano Vermouth and one of those more than heavenly Italian Luxardo cherries. It was totally delicious and perfectly concocted the way a real rye Manhattan should be done. I then tried one of their special for the Fall Season cocktails, a Drunken Pumpkin. Though on the sweet side, deliciously so, and of a creamy spiced pumpkin taste. I was impressed by it. Another factor I love about The Bourbon Affair is their generally décor and atmosphere. It's easy going and laid back with a distinctive classical touch of class. And let me tell you, the bartenders here really know what they are doing. In fact I hesitate to refer to them as bartenders because they're actually professional mixologists.

Awesome speakeasy feel with great cocktails and very friendly service! Tons of bourbon and whiskey selections.

a glass of bourbon and a plate of cheese and crackers

We were visiting from LA and had a very nice time at this hidden treasure. It was beautifully decorated for the holiday and we experienced great service with affordable drinks. We will be back when we can.

A wonderful atmosphere, great staff and amazing variety of bourbons, cigars and food. This is by far one of the best perfect Manhattan's I have had. Make a point to stop by at the Bourbon Affair when you are in Findlay.

The Atmosphere is nice. They have reduced the drink sizes. Not worth the price anymore.

Way over priced and took advantage of customers. Wasn't anything special. Definitely better options. Avoid this place!

The sound was great, and we were pretty close to the stage. They do let "members" in 5 minutes early, but even with our delayed entrance we had close seats. The gentleman I assume is the owner did a short introduction after telling us about future shows, and he chatted with the crowd after Charlie ended his show. It was all very cozy and I would come back for another show. There is a 2-drink minimum and the selection, while small, is fine. We were also told to ask for anything we didn't see. They also offer chips or pretzels as a snack during the show. After the show, Charlie did a meet and greet in the lobby. It's always a treat to tell the artist how much you enjoyed his show. :-) We got a great deal on a room for the night that included the ticket cost. Our room was on the main floor. We really enjoyed our stay.

We traveled for a show here on Halloween. We had a long drive so we made sure to arrive early as…read morethe venue is general admission seating. We were kind of thrown off by the venue. It's actually inside of a hotel and is easy to miss if you don't know the area. We also had a difficult time figuring out where to park. To get into the venue you have to walk into a hotel lobby and check in. We were amongst the first to check in because it was important for us to sit up front. The way they had the seats put out were in rows and the front row had maybe about 8-10 spots. It's a small venue so most of the seats are good but I'm super picky about where I sit. I was happy the venue did not choose to shove a million openers at us. We only had to deal with one and the headliner came on promptly after. In order to use the restroom you had to exit the venue and go into the lobby. The acoustics sounded great and we were happy with the show. What made me deduct one star was their obnoxious 2 drink minimum policy. Neither of us drink so we were pretty annoyed that the waitress kept coming up to us and pressuring us to order drinks. She even interrupted the performance to take our order. Since neither of us drink one of us got a cup of plain hot water and I ordered a mudslide that I only took one sip of. It hurt paying $20 for something we did not drink so please beware of us. We were grateful that the drinks were not more expensive than $10 each at least. The hotel looked very cute and we were sorry we were not staying there. The owners seemed like lovely people and we did not come across one grouchy employee.
