Ok. I don't usually eat at road houses. It's a business trip, I need convenient and adequate... fine. I ordered takeout from Applebees which is essentially on my hotel parking lot. I ordered chicken tenders with fries and broccoli. The broccoli was as expected - microwaved from a freezer bag, no fresh veggies here. Fine. There was only half a cup of broccoli, maybe. I got 6 waffle fries for $5. Six. Fries. And they were all stuck to each other in pairs. Do effectively 3 double-stack fries. For $5. If it was my own money I would have gone raging back down the stairs, across the parking lot and straight to the manager. Chicken tenders were also fine, but nothing at all to write home about. They were on the dry side and were mostly breading... true to trend, not a lot of food for the considerable dollars, I was able to walk in, go to the pick up area and leave without checking out with anyone. So there's a possibility of making a mistake and taking the wrong bag, or stealing something you like better (contents of the bag are on the ticket stapled to the outside). That means there's also a chance your bag won't be there when you go in, but you may be better off - and you might get more food for the cost - eating in the restaurant. read more

Food was terrible we got the four cheese Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken strips.... it was the worst ....the cheese was a water consistency......the pasta was overcooked and mushy.... the strips were so hard couldn't eat them .... and flavor was.... let's just say Yuck!...on this dish as a whole. we both left 3/4 of the order untouched. Don't think I will ever do any Applebees ever again anywhere. Left bad taste in my mouth and brain. Sad too cause I use to like Applebees. Honestly it doesn't deserve a one star. This app won't allow me to rate this restaurantany lower. We just left this place and the food was terrible. They seemed understaffed as the host had to bus our table but that's not the issue. I ordered the full rack of ribs with my sauce on the side. When the food came out, the kitchen staff awkwardly placed 2 cups of barbecue sauce on the plate and as the waitress set my plate in front of me, one of the cups fell into my lap. I understand that accidents happen so no big deal but the waitress was unapologetic, in regards to my ruined pants. She never, not once, offered an apology. The food, at best, is mediocre and overpriced but we ate there because our daughters couldn't agree on what to eat. We will not be returning due to the poor service, mediocre food, and especially the rude staff. Lastly, if the waitress that's spilled the sauce in my lap reads this, we are normally very generous tippers. So much so that we have returned to many restaurants around town and servers remembered us because of our generosity. We've had such exemplary service in some restaurants that we matched the bill... We've even sat in a restaurant during a shift change and waited, at our table, for a waitress to notice half an hour once and that waitress rebounded so nicely we tipped her $50 on a $30 bill. Driving south on I75 and we were hungry and needed a break. So so so wish we would have continued past this exit. Greeting, lukewarm. Seated at a booth with drafty windows. Shit happens but they wouldn't move us citing Covid protocols. Waited about 20 minutes before anyone came to greet us. At that point we were ready to order anyhow so we did. Waited, again, for our 3 waters and one sprite to arrive. Food came quite a while after we ordered. All 4 of us left half our dinner on the plate. Hot Cheeto cheese chunk appetizer, looked like bloody innards on a plate. Salty and just plain gross. Actually sent it back off the table because it was making my daughter sick just to look at it. Grilled chicken, aka salty rubber with no flavor. Mashed potatoes were from a box, Hubby's crispy chicken sandwich was anything but and but for the grease on the breading the bun would have been dry. I mad ether mistake of ordering thru Yelp which turns out is Grub Hub. They charge a "service fee"..didn't know that, wouldn't have ordered that way. They also charged us full price for exactly what we ordered, but gave a pink burger instead of a not pink cheese burger. When I called grub hub, was no help. Extremely broken English (Violet) saying service fee was taxes. I told her it physically states taxes as "Zeor0.00" and $1.17 for "service fee". Then she said the service fee is for them to make the food. I told her I've never paid a service fee for food to be made carry out. She had no explanation to counter that but would gladly put me on hold to investigate it. Don't order thru Yelp or grub hub! read more

I took a friend out to lunch for her birthday. What a mistake! We ordered the $20 meal deal . Salad and an entree.She had the chicken tenders I got the riblets. Under my french fries were two chicken tenders which I can only guess were supposed to be on my friends plate. The entire meal was cold. The fries were so old they were "flat". The meat hers and mine was dried out. Since I have worked many years in food service I just about can tell you these meals sat on a warming table for hours or were warmed up leftovers that were old. The coffee was bitter and the waitress was inattentive. Yes it was a really awful meal all around. I really am not overly picky but Applebee's lost my business. Eat at your own risk. Maybe the "bar" is more of a money maker than the food.BTW there were only 11 people in the place during our lunch. 3 couples (including me and friend) and a table with 5. This restaurant was not the best looking but the food on the menu had a great selection and I had the fettuccine Alfredo and it was phenomenal! All of the bad reviews that this restaurant has must have been at the worst moments of the restaurant of the day. We were sat immediately as we walked into the door. Won't be going back. Back in July I went there to try their new menu item. The steak topped with shrimp. The place was not very busy. Was seated and waited on quickly. The waitress brought my ice tea and then the wait begins. My server stopped by twice and told me my food should be out soon and apologized. I'm not sure how long it was before my food came out but it was a long time! When my food came out my steak and shrimp were ok but my vegetables were cold. Not sure if it was on purpose but my server came as I took a bite of food and all I could do was nod when she asked how everything was. Then a second later she drops off my check and I never saw her again. I filled out a survey online and the manager replied to me and seemed concerned about my dining experience and said he was sorry about my experience and said he would send me something in the mail to make sure I would give them another chance. Had a great experience Friday at lunch. Our server was wonderful! The food was great. I ordered a apple jelly rancher margarita..I didnt care for that much..but I was not going to say anything however our waitress noticed I wasnt drinking it and came over and offered me a new drink on the house, she said she didnt want me to not enjoy my drink, she then got me a cherry jelly rancher margarita which was wonderful. read more

We were visiting the area and stopped here to eat. Our 30 minute wait was only about 20 minutes. However that was the highlight. After placing our order we waited for the food. After about 20 minutes the waitress informed us our food would be out shortly. After an hour and no food we left. Very disappointed. Took my daughter to lunch on a Saturday. I thought we would be well taken care of when our server actually asked if I would like lemon with my water, which I said no to. When my water showed up with lemon it was the beginning of the downward spiral. I had ordered another drink and when I finished it the server came by and asked if I would like another, which i did. Ten minutes later she asked me again and actually brought it this time. I ordered a pasta dish that was unremarkable, my daughter's macaroni and cheese was actually remarkable. I could tell by looking at it that it wasn't cooked properly (three girls 5 and under, I'm an expert). I declined a box for the mostly uneaten macaroni and when I said there was no way it had been cooked today she looked puzzled and said it was. It was pre packaged from Kraft and heated up today. I said I wouldn't give my daughter reheated macaroni at home. The manager did take the macaroni off the bill, which was a plus for the otherwise poor service. On a side note the server did mention the hotdogs on the kids menu are also microwaved, and they look disgusting. All in all, this was the weakest Applebee's I've ever eaten at. read more

Went to this Applebee's recently while shopping in Findlay. No wait to be seated, and the server was quick to appear. The food took FOREVER to arrive, and there were only three other tables and two people at the bar. The fries were over seasoned to the point of inedible. The rest of the food was ok. The server never appeared again until it was time to deliver the bill. At one point I got up to use the restroom...had I seen the restroom before ordering, I would have walked out. It was absolutely disgusting! Toilet paper littered the floor, standing water in the floor drain, and the smell was nauseating! If their bathroom looks like this, what does the kitchen look like? My husband and I were staying in Findlay with our two small grandsons and decided to eat dinner at Applebee's. I KNEW from the minute we walked in this was a big mistake as we had to wait approx 15 min for the hostess to come seat us as she explained she was "setting up" for a party. By this time, there were several people waiting to be seated. Our waiter was a very nice guy. We waited to 1 hour and 15 minutes with two small children for our food to finally arrive. I had ordered a steak medium, which was so overdone and hard that I could not eat it. My husband ordered ribs that were so small and tasteless with little to no meat on them. I have NEVER in my life sent food back at a restaurant, but no way could I eat that steak. The waiter was very apologetic and sent the manager over. He explained they had not planned on being so busy on July 4th (!!) and weren't prepared!!!! Findlay the servers are friendly and very helpful the food is great meat cooked floors very clean and everything is stocked in the restrooms. I enjoyed eating here with my family and they have great prices the managers are really nice. you have to try their pumpkin cheesecake warm, love their stake and you have to try their ribs they like melt in your mouth. whatever you do do not eat at the Port Charlotte Florida Applebee's they have horrible employees especially Kyle Auman who sits there and sexually talks and texts other girls and servers around the restaurant there is also cockroaches on the floor read more

Lost wallet here and left for 5min when I got back to ask where my wallet was, waitress claimed she did not take it and the manager took her side. Next day someone found my wallet by Main Street far from the Applebee's with all the cash gone and turned it in to police. How I know the waitress took my money: The manager told me that the waitress tried to get my attention when I left. Once she saw the money she keep it and when I came back she claimed she didn't have it. No security camera so if the employees steal things they can't be caught. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks, we could see them setting on the bar getting warm and our waitress only had 4 tables. My husband and I went to the Findlay Applebee's last night and after waiting an hour for our order to be delivered, we got up and walked out. We told all of the people that were waiting to be seated to forget waiting to be seated, they would never get their food. At one point the manager came to our table and told us that we had arrived at the time the wheels came off the bus in the kitchen and he thought he had it up and going again, 15 minutes later we decided not to wait any longer and left. We have been to other Applebee restaurants in this state and in Florida and we have never had the problems that we faced in Findlay. This restaurant needs to be closed down. read more
