Going down Central, you might miss it. It's on the corner with Centennial. Walking in, we were greeted by a gentleman behind the bar, which is on the right. The dining area is to the left. Everyone, and I mean everyone is very nice, and friendly! I had a burger. Advertised as angus steak burger. Man , it was delicious! Everything that you hoped a burger would taste like. The fries were delicious also. The husband had a patty melt and HUGE steak fries. He said that his meal was one of the best he has ever eaten. Prices are decent for the amount of food, around $36. We didn't get anything from the bar, but it looked like they had a pretty nice selection. One perk is you can pay your bill at the table from your phone. I would eat there again in a heartbeat! Maybe get something from the bar next time.

Tonight we shared the BLT with avocado and their skin-on fries (so good!). I had the Tropical Cherry Mule --absolutely delicious--and David tried the Hazy Vibes IPA. Yesterday he and his buddy sampled the Lacto Kooler Sour, loved it so much they bought a six-pack and a shirt before leaving! A huge shoutout to our bartenders, Sarah and Shana, who made us feel right at home. We also had the pleasure of meeting owner Carla, who is incredibly friendly and a fellow dog lover--always a bonus in my book! The artwork throughout the brewery is stunning, hand-painted by two tattoo artists from Old World Tattoo in Imlay City. The detail is incredible and really gives the place its own unique personality. And that logo? So cool! If you're looking for a great new spot with amazing drinks, tasty food, awesome people, and a fun vibe, definitely check them out. Canton, you've got a winner! We recently hosted a retirement party for my boss here, and from start to finish the experience was outstanding. Wayne and Amy were incredible to work with while planning everything--they helped coordinate the setup, worked with us on catering appetizers, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They even accommodated us bringing in our own cake, which was a huge plus. They gave us a large dedicated section for our group, and everything ran seamlessly all night. The food and drinks were fantastic across the board--everyone in our party was raving. The pretzel bites with beer cheese were a big hit, and the pulled pork nacho bar for appetizers was next level. People kept going back for more and talking about it all night. But the real standout of the evening was our waitress, Karissa. She was an absolute rockstar. We had a large group with individual tabs for everyone, and she kept everything perfectly organized without missing a beat. Drinks were always full, food came out quickly, and no one was left waiting or confused. Whatever system she was running behind the scenes--it worked flawlessly. It's not easy to keep a big group happy, and she made it look effortless. Whether you're going for a casual dinner or planning a large event, this is a place that knows how to take care of people. Highly recommend.

Upon entering, there's a long bar where many people gather to sample various wines. There's also an extensive offering of potential gifts if you choose. Yes, pricey, but fun to browse. The overall ambiance is what I would describe as upscale casual, but you can also dress up as much as you'd like. It's a sophisticated and yet comfortable environment and the staff members we encountered were very welcoming and attentive. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server, Taylor, was the absolute best!!! We started off with Lemon Drop Martinis that were perfect. (I took lots of pics but not of the martinis because we were thirsty!) We had narrowed our entree selections of salmon down to two and Taylor gave us her honest opinion of what she preferred while also telling us that the other option was very popular. Both my friend and I ordered the lighter salmon entree that was served with lemon and lots of vegetables. (I had previously had the miso soy glazed salmon with coleslaw, which was amazing.) I did not regret trying the lighter version of salmon with the vegetables and finger potatoes. The combination was perfect and the salmon was excellent and not at all fatty. Btw, the calorie count was 570 for this entree... Gotta love that! Since my friend reminded Taylor that we were celebrating my birthday, she brought out truffles with a candle. It was a very sweet and special way to end the evening- even though neither of us could eat another bite. It was boxed up and I put it in the fridge to share with my mom in the next day or so. While my experience at Cooper's Hawk sometimes varies between a 4-5 star experience, tonight was definitely 5 stars! Highly recommend!

They offer 2 no cost wine tastings as part of your meal but we did not partake. We had a reservation which is a must on a Saturday evening. You can also participate in wine tasting while you wait for a table. The tables are nicely spaced so you aren't sitting extremely close to others and being interrupted by conversation from other tables. The location is able to accommodate large groups and intimate dining. Our server was new but knowledgeable about the menu. Since we were first time customers, there is a required upsell speech that we were not interested in as people that don't enjoy wine and had no interest in a wine club so our server shortened that up for us. We are grateful for her ability to read the room. We tried the caprese flat bread for our appetizer. The bread is thin and crispy and toppings were flavorful but not overpowering. It was a light and enjoyable starter. The balsamic could have been stronger for our taste but overall, the dish was good. Our server brought out "complementary fresh baked pretzel bread". It looked lovely and had a crisp outer shell but was frozen in the middle. After completing our appetizer, we waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive to the table. Our server informed us that the short rib risotto I had order was the hold up as the short ribs were "just coming out of the oven". When our meal arrived the presentation was lovely; however, my "short rib" which was actually a large, tough, lukewarm piece of chuck roast served over mashed potatoes with grilled vegetables (not mushroom risotto) was less than I had hoped. On the bright side, those roasted veggies were top notch and the gravy which was necessary to choke down the tough meat was really quite tasty. Unfortunately, my husband's steak was also overcooked. He agreed that the vegetables were the best part of the meal. We skipped dessert as we had experienced enough disappointment for one night. The ambiance was nice, our server was pleasant and knowledgeable, the food just didn't make the grade.

Nothing to write home about and nothing to go out of your way to seek out. The atmosphere is fun and super kid friendly. Strike that, it's way-way-way too kid friendly for a weekend brunch and unfortunately, lots of parents have figured that out. If you're cool with kids running all around your table while you're trying to eat poorly cooked food, cool. Me? Not so much... Service was friendly but the joint was severely understaffed.

So this is "Toledo's Barcade?" Really? Well, we can do better. We can do a shitload better…read more First the positives: the food, the beer, the service, and the atmosphere. The food is very good; it's from Bar 145 next door...build-it-yourself burgers, specialty burgers, creative and tasty appetizers, soups, etc...it's all here. There's also a abbreviated, "late-night" version of the menu that still includes pretty good options. The beer selection is excellent, and the self serve, pay-by-the-ounce-taps are a great idea. The service is hit or miss, but it's usually pretty good. Also, Reset now allows kids to come in before 7pm, (and later if they're not too busy). The atmosphere is fun, nostalgic and very "80s oriented." So far, so good, right? WRONG...the main reason to come here, is the retro gaming, and the gaming sucks. It sucks ass. There are relatively few games, and the games that are present are pretty standard stuff. But the real problem is that almost every game is in shitty condition, and, they seem to be getting shittier by the week. They're set on free play? So what. I'd think that the cost of the games is built into the price of the food/alcohol. Besides, if the games are "unplayable," (that's only a slight exaggeration), then they might as well not be there. Rather than walk away from a free game that, frustratingly, malfunctions, I'd prefer to pay a quarter and actually play! In order to be a viable entertainment option (especially for adults who appreciate retro-gaming), Reset really needs to pump a little money into their games. The way it is currently, I don't think there is any reason to come to the arcade side of the operation. Eat at Bar 145, and then go elsewhere.

We went again on Saturday. WOW!…read more Started with a Martini for my dining partner and iced tea for me. Both were great. The waiter (Josh, a five-star waiter if ever there was one) really knows how to take care of his customers. He really knows the menu, can explain the dishes along with their components and what makes them unique and paces each course perfectly. He even asked if we were BOTH done before any dishes were removed from the table. Nothing looks worse than one person still eating while the rest of the table has no plates in front of them. We started with the roasted carrot salad. The carrots were perfectly roasted and chilled with and amazing tahini "paste" and radicchio, perfectly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. OUTSTANDING!!! Seriously, this could have been my entire meal! The tahini paste is great, and I made it once while making a tahini dressing for roasted Brussels sprouts. Tahini naturally gets thick (paste like) when liquid is added. To make the paste, just stop adding liquid to it and stop mixing until it gets smooth again. Seriously, delicious. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel for our entrees. It comes with a really nice side salad consisting of mixed greens, dressed again with a very mild vinaigrette. My only quibble (and it's a really small one) is I would have liked the schnitzel to be a bit thinner. That said, it was perfectly cooked, not at all dry and the thickness is up to the creator of the dish. I don't think there's a "standard" for this (ha, ha - get it!). Great breading and very tasty. The dessert... Again, had to go with the sticky toffee pudding! If this is on the menu, there's no way I'm not going to order it. GOD, it's just a perfect ending to a great meal, well, that along with a pot of French Press coffee. All in all, the meal came to $108.00 excluding the tip. Expensive, but WORTH EVERY PENNY! I spent that much a few weeks ago (maybe more) on a really awful meal/experience at a different place. You'll have to read my old reviews to figure that one out! Anyway, this place treats their employees like they actually appreciate them. They took them on a cruise! Of all the restaurants I used to work at, the best thing I ever received was a shift meal or maybe a cold beer because I was still at the place cooking apps at 1:00 in the morning and the manager wanted to go home but felt bad because I couldn't leave. Thanks for the glass of Miller Lite draft, Mr. Chi-Chi's manager guy! Everyone in the place, from the servers to the hostesses, to the bus folks and the floor manager had smiles and a sense of graciousness and appreciation to each and every customer. Try to find that at any other restaurant in Toledo. The food is top notch, made with very unique recipes and techniques you're not going to find anywhere else. The dining room and restrooms (at least the men's) are clean. I never had to ask for a refill on my iced tea or water. New silverware was brought before each course was served. The old plates were removed from the table after the staff asked if it was OK to do so. Proper training in procedure and etiquette is obvious. Again, just a great meal in every way - 10 out of 10! Can't wait to go back.

We loved the Standard after visit #1. Then, somehow, a year and a half passed before we returned…read more The reason was location, and the reason was atmosphere, but mostly it was atmosphere. After visit #2, I'm not sure there will be a visit #3 anytime soon. The consensus among friends -- confirmed now by our own table -- is that everything is too heavy. The first few bites bring the oohs and the ahhs. By halfway through the plate, the ughs and the oofs begin. The menu reads as thoughtful and dialed in. Our table of four ordered very different entrees -- seafood, steak, pasta, salad -- and somehow every plate arrived at the same destination: rich, savory, dense. No acid. No brightness. And strangely, blue cheese and garlic had crept into every single bite, as if the kitchen could not bear to let a dish leave without them. A meal that should have pleased everyone left most of us with a mild remorse. I felt surprisingly ill for hours afterward -- not because anything was unsafe, not because it wasn't delicious, but because it was simply too much. Too rich. Too savory. The body, it turns out, asks for contrast, and we had not been given any. The service, on the other hand, is STILL outrageously good. Without question some of the best in the region -- better than nearly every higher-end room in town. But the atmosphere is stuffy, the food is one-note, and high quality is not the same thing as good execution. My wife's "medium plus" steak arrived extremely rare. My salmon was undercooked. At this price, that is inexcusable. Still -- the service. The service is something to behold.
