Water was brought to the table, but without ice. I asked for ice and pretty quickly received some. I would suggest always serving ice water! Warm tap water isn't very palatable to most folks. First impressions of the dining room... So, it's a fairly small room without carpet. No tablecloths or individual table lamps (this doesn't bother me, but some may find this type of dining without such refinements unacceptable). I believe in keeping costs down. Take the savings and use them for buying better ingredients. Oh, a plate of bread with an absolutely delicious compound butter was served when the water was served (a little amuse-bouche). A nice Asian soy based dressing would have been perfect with this. Soy sauce, rice vinegar, scallions, garlic, ginger, sesame oil... Anyway, we ended with a shared piece of carrot cake and coffee. The carrot cake was out of this world, and it has to be good for you since it's made out of a vegetable. The coffee is french press and should have steeped longer, but we all love strong coffee. We'll definitely go back! Nice, hidden little spot with some great food and staff. Not too expensive, clean and an easy destination.

If you are into craft beers, Voodoo Brewing, may be a hit for you as they have a pretty decent selection. We sat at the bar as it was later in the evening and there wasn't many people. We split a flight of beers and didn't order any food. Our flight a beer was over $20 as our flight included an imperial stout. Our go-to establishment for craft beer in downtown Sylvania charges $8 - $11 for a flight and they also usually have stouts as part of their regular lineup. Several TVs available so you can catch your favorite team playing as you enjoy some brews and food. The interior of Voodoo Brewing is definitely unique to say the least, especially the table set having a chair tilted against the table to honor those who served our country, but paid the ultimate price for our freedom. A touching tribute for sure. Each time we go by this establishment, the parking lot is full, so they are doing something right.

Upon arriving at My Way Bistro, we were able to park in a handicapped parking spot with a slope to the sidewalk, which was helpful to my mom, who relies upon a walker for mobility. Upon arriving inside the restaurant, we were given our choice of booths or tables. I never realized before that the tables and booths are very high for someone with limited ability to lift their arms. There were no other options that we saw and my mom did her best to settle into a booth that I found comfortable but the table was clearly too high for my mom. She was a great sport however and made do with the high tabled booth. My mom ordered a lamb gyro with fries and I ordered my usual Georgia Reuben with fries. My mom was very pleased with her gyro. It had lots of vegetables and meat, and she said the tszazicki (sp?) sauce was delicious. She also enjoyed the fries. I loved my Georgia Reuben because the cole slaw has a kick of black pepper and other ingredients that make it taste amazing. The homemade Thousand Island dressing was soooo delicious! I was a little disappointed in the fries because they were fried more than I prefer but were still good. Best of all, we both took home leftovers! Seriously, the plates couldn't adequately support the generous portions of food with heaping amounts of fries- and I say that as a good thing! The ambiance is that of an upscale sports bar, but was pretty quiet when we were there, even though screens were turned on. Our server was very responsive and efficient. Overall a great experience and I definitely recommend checking out My Way Bistro for amazing sandwiches (also offer salads that I haven't yet tried) that are levels up from typical bar food.

The menu description did not mention meat, but there was unidentified meat in the dip. Overall, the food-handling concerns and lack of ingredient transparency were enough for us to decide we will not be returning.
