Please save your tastebuds from misery. Eat somewhere that does not serve extra dry wings. No amount of sauce could have brought the wings back to life. Thought I was eating a petrified baby pterodactyl wing. Barely got through three before I had to send them back. Only one of the five guys in my group was desperate enough to eat 10 wings. The cheese curds were slightly better. They weren't dry. They were however extra greasy and exceptionally salty. The extra grease is most likely due to the frying oil not being changed often enough. This tends to keep oil temps low, which allows items to soak in too much grease before being fully cooked. And seating could use a few short tables. Choices were only booths or very tall tables. Didn't see any normal height tables. Waitress was very nice and attentive, but that doesn't overcome the bad food. Amazing place is still open. read more

Not sure where to start... I haven't been to a Buffalo Wild Wings in years, so we decided to give it a try. There must have been 5 employees standing around at the hostess stand when we walked in, and they all seemed to disappear once we walked in behind a group of people. Someone was wiping down menus with her back to all of us waiting to be greeted and subsequently seated. Sadly, we all patiently waited for someone else to come back to the hostess stand before we were greeted. Suddenly, the 5 staff members that scattered all came back to the hostess stand at the same time. Not sure if people were getting training or what the issue was, but when the hostess asked if a specific table was ready to be seated, the hostess and at least 2 or 3 others walked away to check the table and no one else stepped up to seat others. Once we made it to our table, our server came up and seemed a bit frazzled. Because we have both held waitstaff positions in our past, I reassured the server we were in no hurry to hopefully put her mind at ease. There were plenty of empty tables and with all the staff members wandering throughout the restaurant, one would think things would be run a bit more smoothly. As you can see in one of this pics I posted of the Garden Salad - the chicken was left off. In the other pic was my meal of the brisket tacos; these tacos were presented on the smaller street taco flour tortillas, so we thought this was more of an appetizer than a meal as presented. My side salad consisted of lettuce, a few tomato slices and some cheese. That's it. Our party of 4 made a last minute decision to stop here. It was early enough that we were able to be seated. The server was very nice and knew her stuff. She did a good job of keeping drinks full and grabbing extra napkins, etc. There are lots of televisions throughout the restaurant, most airing sports shows. Why, oh why, do I continue to give BWW "just one more chance?" Possibly it's because I'm nostalgic for all the good times we had at BW3s in the 90s. I don't know, but whatever the reason, it doesn't matter, because it's well past time... ...it's well past time, Mike, to take the RED PILL and wake up to fact that Buffalo Wild Wings pretty much sucks. In fact, it's pretty much sucked for at least the last decade. First, though, I'll list a few positives: I will say that the new remodel of the Central Avenue store is nice. I'll also say that some interesting sporting event is always view-able at BWW. And, I'll go on to say that the beer selection is not too bad. Also, the service is usually (but not always) friendly. That was the good...now the bad. FOOD: The food just ain't that good. On almost every occasion, the food has been well below average for Toledo. Several times, it's actually been really bad, and, the chicken chunks ALWAYS stink...not enough meat, too much batter. The food is never good, but the most recent time I stopped in, the food was truly inedible. The cold chicken on my salad, and in my kid's over-battered chunks, was WAY under cooked; it had the texture of slimy rubber. The taste? I wouldn't know...the slimy rubber went into, and came back out of, my mouth in about 5.39 x 10 to the - 44 seconds. (I would have spit the shit out even more quickly, but that would have violated the laws of physics). There wasn't enough Jamaican Jerk sauce in all the whole city to make it edible. When I pointed out the "medium rare" chicken meat, the manager did knock a couple bucks off of my bill, which would have been a decent start. But DAMN, I didn't go there to get grossed out and then get a refund, I went there to eat! After "eating" at B-Dubs that afternoon, we had to stop at Frogtown Johnnie's in order to actually get a little sustenance! SERVICE: BWW almost always seems to be understaffed, and slow. PRICE: You get what you pay for...wait, that's not true...BWW is overpriced. The bottom line is this: With so many good, local sports bars around Toledo, there's really no reason to stop here. Came here not too long ago and ordered carryout with my mother and husband. We all enjoyed the food. To start the online order was easy to place and just had to wait a few minutes for the order when we showed up. I originally went inside to pick up. They brought out to vehicle when it was ready. I had the bone-in and boneless wing combo. The food was freshly prepared and hot. If you like large bone-in wings, these are for you. My mother really enjoyed hers with the parmesan garlic seasoning. I had the thai inspired sauce and barbeque. Tasty, but the wings were too meaty for me which made them very filling. The boneless wings had a flavorful batter and meat inside was tender. My husband ventured for the chicken wrap and chicken quesadilla. He said the wrap was better. He ordered the quesadilla with just the chicken and cheese. *I'm adding this introduction to my review, because I came to a sudden realization today. I couldn't figure out why I was so upset in the store. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't stop yelling when I was talking to the customer service representative. I really couldn't figure out why 2 days later when their boss called me I still wasn't calm. I mean I am usually a person who gets thanked for being so patient, when things go wrong. I don't lose my cool with people who work in customer service, because I've been there. Then it hit me. It's the loud music. Think about it. Everyone in this story is yelling over music. If you add the frustration of me, the frustration of the employees, & the fact that everyone is yelling, it's automatically escalated. If you've had a similar situation in BW3's would it have been less stressful if the music wasn't so loud? I'm not saying I will go back. I don't think I will. I am saying maybe they should learn a little something about the music and the intensity that brings to a contentious situation. The level of incompetence of the 3 women at the takeout counter was astounding. Let's call them (1), (2), & (Manager) I think. I went in & told (1) & (2) the name on my order. (1) didn't have a receipt printed with the name on it. She said, "I'm sorry, but I don't have the order." She then read the names on the tickets in front of her. (2) asked me if I had the confirmation. She also told me that I might have ordered at Maumee. I hadn't. I went back out to the car to get the email on my phone. I brought it back & showed it to (2). It said the location where I was & that I had paid. She stared at the email dumbfounded. (1) read me the names on the tickets they had on the counter two more times. She said, "I'm sorry, but I don't have the order." I said, "That's not my fault." (1) & (Manager) both replied, "That's not our fault either." Then (1) read the names on the tickets AGAIN. Then (Manager) chimed in & asked me if I called, or ordered on the website or app. I told her I ordered on the website. She couldn't find it on the computer & acted like I was supposed to just give up. THE ANSWER ISN'T ON THE COMPUTER. GET ANOTHER IDEA, (MANAGER)! It shouldn't make a difference how I ordered. Their POS should have the information & if it doesn't they should be running back to the kitchen to see if it was made & not blaming the customer. I mean the gaul of me expecting them to do their jobs. Finally, (Manager) had a flash of brilliance & asked (2) to go check the kitchen to see if it was back there. While this was happening I said, "If it's not back there I want a refund. I don't want you to make this order now." (Manager) told me that's fine, but I was going to have to go back to the website & get my refund there. I like that she admitted she was too incompetent to do a refund too. (2) came back with my food, because it was finished. I don't know how long it was there. It was cold. (2) stood there holding my food up & looking at me like she was expecting... gratitude?.. a tip?.. an apology?.. a cookie? I have no idea. I asked, "May I have my food, please?" (2) then handed it to me in slow motion. Like it wasn't really mine or there was something else that I needed to do. Then when I finally was able to leave I heard them make sounds of disgust as I walked out the door. There is no excuse for the level of incompetence they demonstrated. There is no excuse for them telling me they didn't have my order & expecting me to just forget about my food & money. I know it's difficult to find employees right now, but really Buffalo Wild Wings, this was the best you could do? It will be a cold day in hell before I go back there. I called Buffalo Wild Wings customer service & the representative came really close to saying, "You need to keep quiet." before he corrected himself. Just tried eating here with my husband and 1 year old. Sat down and my husband ordered a beer, shortly after we ordered our food. I stated if our daughters food is done you can bring it out before ours. 45 mins go by and have not heard anything from our waitress so we ask. She says oh they didn't tell you it's a 90 min ticket time and yours has been 45 mins. We continued to wait 15 more minutes and ultimately asked for our check with our drinks we had and left. As a waitress that is your job to inform your customers. The waitress not once told us when we sat down nor when we ordered our food that there was a 90 min ticket time or we wouldn't have waited with our 1 year old. I went to high school near here, so the major reason I frequent this location is to see fellow alumni during the holidays. It's community gathering spot, for sure. Exceptional bar staff and wonderful manager. I frequented this occasion four times in the last month to eat and watch soccer at the bar. The manager that was working (tall brown hair gentleman probably 35) always made sure to find my soccer game for me and chat for a moment. I can't believe I went so many years without eating here and after trying this place out, I knew why. Buffalo Wild Wings is one of thee worst wing places [restaurants] I've ever been to. First off, I got the flatbread and to say it was salty was an understatement. It felt as though I was licking a block of salt. Second, the wings were so breaded that I couldn't find the chicken. & the sauce, even at the lowest of the totem pole, was too hot to eat. Third, I waited 45 minutes for a margarita that ended up being not what I ordered. When I talked to the manager about this, her answer was so crazy to me. She told me that she doesn't eat their wings because they're too breaded and she's eaten better. Then she told me that the flatbread is cooked on the same pans the pretzels are cooked in and that's why they tend to be salty. So, basically she just told me they don't wash their pans. Contrary to other yelpers reviews, I LOVE BW3's (or B-Dubs). Yes, their prices are a little high but you get a plate full of saucey goodnesss! The ambience is also great, there is one huge semi truck by semi truck (over exaggeration) screen and SEVERAL smaller screens. Sitting at any angle you're watching about 5 TVs at once all on various sports channels. Well anyway, back to the saucey goodness. There is so much flavor on your plate, you have no time to watch sports! Generally, every sauce is good sauce. Even if the taste is ultimately unpleasant, it is packed with flavor! They have MANY different sauces ranging from sweet to spicy and somewhere in between. I typically get the ribs & wings platter which includes fries and coleslaw. Half slab of ribs, six wings, it's enough to feed 2 people or 3 light eaters for about 12 bucks. I am very picky about ribs at restaurants, but B-Dubs sets the bar. Top them with honey BBQ and you're set. As far as the wings, I go to the very top of the spectrum which is Blazin. This sauce is for the spice/heat savvy ONLY. If you want a sauce with flavor and heat and will have smoke coming out of your ears, stamped with a warning disclaimer, this is the one. You will still feel your mouth simmering an hour after you leave and several cups of water later. Got to love it. read more
