I'd like to preface by saying that this was my first visit to Ohio in years. Given it's my home state, I was craving my childhood favorite, Rooster's. Rooster's can never do me wrong, so an extra star has been awarded just for nostalgia & food. Coming from Columbus, I'm used to Rooster's being much rowdier, busier, and staff being more energetic and approachable. Maybe it's a hometown preference, but it seems this Northern Ohio location lacks the morale of a Central Ohio restaurant. Although they were timely (probably thanks to their cooks), it seems the wait staff weren't happy to serve until they were serving the check. I visited 2/3 times in my week stay, and from person to person, nothing changed. Maybe I missed the weekend rush, when it's more bustling and full of life, but this Rooster's never had a wait. The wings are a little greasier than I remember. But my west coast friends enjoyed the massive wings, incredible prices, and quality food just as well as I did. This was an unexpected Gem in Toledo. We came in for a quick lunch before we saw a movie. We got the turkey burgers which were amazing. They were well seasoned and hit the spot. We also got a garden salad that was exquisitely presented and even better tasting. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Very accommodating to the tables needy but not in an annoying way- just the right amount of checking in with us. Chicken fingers were dry, tater tots were cold, fried macaroni bites looked the the frozen ones from Walmart, chicken sandwich was mostly lettuce and missing the sauce in the description. Ugh. I been waiting to review this spot since its fairly new. I love Roosters. Just not this location. Lack of staff training at its worst. Staff can't tell you what wine or beer they have and can't tell you where to find them. FYI. There's a QR code thingy by the condiments on the tables. Silverware was dirty. Twice. They brought dirty silverware. Waited a long time for drinks and food. The wings look delicious but lacked flavor. I always get buffalo chicken pizza no onions. They put extra onions in it for me. I just picked them out. My guy liked the potato wedges but said he won't return. I like the music they play. Kinda 90s pop I can sing to. Beer selection is average. I'm pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much due to what I've been told about Roosters only being a place for wings. This must be a somewhat newer location as the interior just had the appearance of a renovation. A ton of TVs to choose from all around the establishment showing a wide variety of things to watch. Our server, Erin, was very friendly and quite helpful with menu selections as well as options of how to combine items to get the best bang for the buck. The food was decent. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad w an additional half order of grilled chicken fingers, fish sandwich (cod) was massive and served on an extra large hoagie style bun, and dumpster tots (topped with melted cheese, bacon, jalapeño, diced tomato, and Rooster sauce. Been here enough to say "download yelp" first review by the way. I love the fried chicken sandwich. It's just why I love this place, I get specifically just mozzarella cheese on it which might anger some of you, but trust me. Not bad, but the tater tots were pretty decent, but I didn't know that they were gonna come in a very small bowl. Customer service is a joke!!! I placed an order to this exact location over the phone- gave my name and number and the girl read it back with my order. I go in and no one knows anything about my order. They decided to second guess me and assumed I ordered it from the holland location which was wrong because the number in my phone log was for this location. Staff kept going back l to "talk to the manager", manager wouldn't even show his face to say sorry for the inconvenience. None of the staff bothered to say sorry or take responsibility. 0/10 food is decent but won't be going back because they have no customer service skills or sense of responsibility. read more

A feud in the Frick family lead to the creation of Rooster's. That was a good thing. So, much like Fricker's, Roosters is a sports bar. Not into sports bars? Don't come here. You won't like it. There are TVs all over the place and they're all showing...SPORTS. The food is pretty typical for a sports bar that specializes in wings. I'd say, at least for the things I've tried so far, that the fare is somewhat superior to that which you'll find at Fricker's. I haven't tried the burger yet... Roosters!! It's not a bad place just your typical chain place. The food was average at best. Not bad, not great either. I ordered traditional wings and they brought me boneless. I didn't say anything because I was hungry and didn't want to wait for the correct food. The other in our group all said it was just ok. I will say our server did a good job (despite giving me the wrong food) and was very attentive to our table. For the price and quality of food there are definitely better options in the area. Sierra did an excellent job job waiting on 8 adults and a separate table of. 4 kids under the age of 7. Did not miss a thing. Everything came out one time and correct. Very attentive to every detail. First time here on friends recondition. Friday evening they were busy but we were seated right away. Our waitress came over and took drink order. On returning we gave our dinner order. In Sylvania and want "real" wings like the whole wing, drum and flat with that little crispy piece on the side lol. Roosters has a real size traditional wing. Fried to a crisp with seasons in the batter that you can see. Although I wish they had traditional french fries but their crispy curly are great too. The food was okay, we sat for about 10 minutes the other night and multiple servers walked past our table yet nobody stopped to greet us or grab us drinks. I love chicken wings but not a lot of places cook them well done enough to my liking even when I ask for the life to be fried out of them. I found the wings here to be great! We ordered the chili cheese nachos with extra cheese, unbreaded korean bbq wings and a bacon burger. It's hard not to go in here and compare it to Frickers. There are many similarities but my husband said the burger was much better here. The wings were good and with the extra cheese the nachos also tasted great. There are an overabundance of televisions and our waitress was fantastic. A couple of our friends had visited and didn't give it great reviews but we had a good experience. I am a bit conflicted in this review. Really more 3.5 stars. The food is good/great, albeit i have only had the wings and salads. The wings are cooked perfect, they allow 2 sauces if you order 10 or more, and they have the fat boy special (5 wings) to add if you feel a bit hungrier. Service is friendly, just dont expect to see your server other than on arrival to table and when food shows up, unltd soft drinks is only a concept here (ironically the only thing on menu without price), i suggest judicious sipping of drinks. In short, better wings than the chain sports bars, but you pay in lousy service. read more

I ordered 1/2 lb Hamburger it was served Medium Rare I ordered Medium well. Also ordered 1/4 lb Hamburger Medium and it was served Well done. Ordered potato skins they were good only 4 small skins were served. The positive is the price paid was very reasonable. Manager made good on the Hamburger and did not charge.
