We haven't been here in a long time because the last time wasn't great. We were out and about and I wanted chicken wings. Frickers blue cheese dressing used to be elite. They must have change everything to lesser quality products because everything was disgusting. The wings were so freezer burnt there were giant white patches on them and they tasted awful. On a cross country trip and we are staying across the street at the Hampton. This is a nice place to eat. According to back of menu it's a OH chain. Service was outstanding!! We had a party of 18 and they were incredibly fast. All food came out at same time and was hot and fresh. I had the Three for All, two sliders, Frickin FF and about 4 chicken strips. The teriyaki sauce had a good flavor and was applied nicely. Sliders were very good as well with the burger fixings on the side. FF had a nice batter on them too. I would certainly visit again. Plenty of TV viewing choices. Average sound level. High ceilings help with that. read more

Stopped by the Maumee location for dinner. Great place for wings which we all ordered. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Took our drink orders then our entrees. The restaurant seems very clean and well kept. We enjoy Fricker's although we usually go to the Sylvania location. We enjoy the atmosphere and can honestly say we have never received a bad meal at any of their restaurants and consider their wings the best. read more

Just like what it looks like and what it markets itself to be---a good joint for some fried foods and cheap cold beer. I had boneless wings (a hefty portion) that was well seasoned. Classic 3+ sports bar. They do the big things right. Friendly staff, quick turnaround on beers. Nice selection on tap. The burgers are solid. I got the 1/3 pounder and it was plenty. Cooked to order and served with curly fries. Those are the high points and a trip into the nachos wasn't as satisfying. Being the well educated family we are, we decided to travel during the Holiday Havoc of 2022, leaving us stranded in Maumee, OH hungry and cold. Through zero visibility we could only see the lights of Fricker's and decided to stop. This place was great! First they were open when everyone else was closed. We were expecting not much but was pleasantly surprised. When we walked in they saw how disheveled we were and offered us beer and sodas (thank you wonderful staff) right away. Then gave us fries for the kids before we all lost it. Food came out quick and good. The kids ate quesadillas, I got a burger, and my husband a wrap. Then there were arcade games. There is a God! The kids played video games, which were super clean, all working and not loud while we looked for a hotel room to wait out the storm. The staff even gave us suggestions were to stay. Aweful host stand experience. Never got to try the food. When we asked how long the wait would be...we got a very curt "I couldnt give out a wait time..." Which is wierd because literally everyone else could. The place wasnt busy...and we were told we had to wait in our car. Difficult to use the women's restrooms. The two smaller stalls have doors that open into the toilets - making it extremely difficult just to get into it out of the bathroom stall. The handicap stall is the only stall that has room for access, and the toilet paper was out (likely because it's the only stall in use). Won't return until they've improved. Fries were left under the warmer too long (plate was warmer than the fries), asked for the bacon crumbles on the side and they were fresh out of the fridge. Do you realize what it takes to knock back 50 wings? It's not realistic, BA does not have that kind of resilience. We argue about it all the time, he said newt was there. Newt is not a reliable source. He can't remember anything and even when he does, he remembers it wrong. There ain't no way he ate 50 wings. No way. The service is excellent. Bring back dollar beers. An Ohio based small chain-breastaurant (yep, I meant to spell it that way), Fricker's seems to be spreading throughout the midwest. We're talking "sports-bar-with-generally-cute-waitresses, known-for-its-wings." I WOULD go there for a few drinks with the guys. I WOULD go there to catch the game or, if you are a casual MMA fan, to catch the UFC PPVs. I WOULD go there with the kids/wife on a Saturday afternoon, or evening. I WOULD NOT, however, go there, expecting to expand my culinary horizons. Personally, I think the food is above average for a sports bar. The various chicken products, such as the wings, breasts (breaded or otherwise), boneless wings, etc., have always been pretty decent in general. Unlike BW's, the breading is not overly thick. The sauces range, in intensity, from mild to HOTTTT! Their Buffalo sauce is, again IMO, better than average. Other flavors, such as BBQ and teriyaki are also available. My mainstay is the "frickin' chicken salad," with hotsauce as my dressing. Sometimes I'll get the breaded chicken and sometimes broiled. It's satisfying, yet light. The burgers are also pretty good. They are not top tier like Burger Bar 419, Ottawa Tavern, or even Nick and Jimmy's, but they are still pretty good. No major complaints about the service from me. I will say that, for a sports bar, the draft beer selection seems to be somewhat limited. But hey, they have both Red Bull and AMP as mixers, in case you need to get energized for the rest of your night!! read more

If you are gluten free do not come here. I was told their naked wings are gluten free. So I ordered them. They came out and looked breaded and she told me they were not. So the manager made me new ones and they still looked breaded. So the manager came out and talked to me and told me that they are in fact gluten free. And she told me "they are fried in the same fryer as all out other wings so it gets hot enough the gluten should go away".. gluten does not go away in extreme heat, it will stay in the air fryer. It's not a germ it's a protein. But the manger told me they were gluten free when in fact they are not. Restaurants really need to train on what gluten free actually means and is. 10/10 do not recommend. After the waitress came back I tried to explain to her that the heat does not make the gluten go away and that if she gets asked again for gluten free the wings are in fact not gluten free and she rolled her eyes wouldn't look at me and just said "okay well they don't teach us that" she was very rude about it didn't seem to care to learn. read more

Ordered through door dash. The food we got was good but they made mistakes (beef instead of chicken nachos), completely missed a soda, utensils, salad dressing and BBQ sauce on the BBQ burger. I have a mild obsession with chains that I have never eaten at. Usually they are a bust, but I figure if they made it to expand there must be something to it. Most of the time it comes to me leaving wondering why the hell people like eating garbage like this and how the hell places like this make it to open more locations? Frickers fits that bill, I was in the mood for chicken and thought it was more of a fast food not sit down. Turns out its like Roosters or Buffalo Wild Wings, Wings n RIngs all those more or less garbage serving chains. Frickers would have to be worse than all those. Enterior and atmosphere uninviting, the girls wanna be hooters girls.... They had a free kids meal offer which temporarily lifted my mood until I (and my son) saw it, it looked like a kids cuisine, food comes in red plastic plates and he got 3 tiny nuggets and 3 curly fries, what a joke. I got the crispy chicken salad which I let her take back again right away. It was brown and wilted, the chicken soggy. She brought me a new one, while it wasn't brown it wasn't good either, neither was the chicken. The man had the crispy chicken sandwhich, also not great. While we only paid $15 for the 3 of us, noone was full or satisfied, I should have been paid to eat this junk, save yourself the trip and eat elsewhere! read more

We have eaten at Frickers roughly 20 times in the last 6 months. I have always ordered 10 bone in wings, half parmesan garlic and half some sort of barbecue. today the server told me they will no longer do half and half. the best they could do is make them breaded with no sauce and send me sauce on the side to finish them myself. I asked for the manager to come explain why the last 20 times i was here this was not an issue but today it is. The manager came over and told me that I must be lying because they have never split sauces on wing orders. unfortunately their smallest wing order is 10, so it is not feasible to order two orders. As a restaurant owner I can say if this was the non solution one of my managers brought to the table for a customer...she would be fired on the spot. Looks like this location lost another regular customer. Too bad since they never have more than a third of their seats full. read more

I really like Frickers but really disliked the service and wait times at their Maumee location. The food was good, the dining room was warm, the bathroom was clean, and that was the good. As someone that worked in the food service industry for awhile, I realize that a lunch rush can be stressful and chaotic. At the same time proper training, adequite staffing, and cross training can alleviate a lot of the problems. Lunch for one should never take a hour and twenty minutes. The waitresses appeared to have too many tables and were slow to take everyone's orders, bring out food, fill drinks, check up, bring checks and orders were left sitting on the pass too long. If you are going to overextend you wait staff get a food runner or have some of the guys from the kitchen do some walk outs. As a result of wait times my wings and fries came out look warm. It isn't hard to tell when something is fresh out of the fryer and something that has been sitting around. The flavors I was seeking were there, the freshness, crispiness, and snap I craved were not. I won't blame the employees, I blame the management for this average experience. Perhaps the manager was camoflagued with the wait staff or stuck in the kitchen but in eighty minutes I never saw him or her. Perhaps I caught this location on a bad day but their service and speediness were half what their Bowling Green location puts out on an average day. I do like their food so I do recommend them for that, they are far superior to BW's, but be warned you may be waiting around here for service or your food may be waiting around a lot longer than needed for someone to pick them up. read more

Id actually give 3.5 stars if I could. We went there after our volleyball game for 50 cent wings on a Tuesday. The place was easy to find, had good parking, and the inside was perfect for watching sports and designed well. There was a group of 10 of us, and we were seated quickly at a high top. 4 of us decided to split the big thing of beer, which was 100 ounces for 13$. We got the pretzel bites as an appetizer (so good) and I got 20 wings, 10 of the garlic Parmesan and 10 of the sweet chili. My wings were served very warm, and I got my first 10 and then the next 10 were brought out a couple minutes later. The wings were a really good size and delicious, not overly breaded and had a lot of meat. My friend got the boneless kind, and she enjoyed those as well. The only thing that really annoyed me was that when we got our bill, we were charged 15$ instead of 13$ for the beer, even though signs all over clearly said it was 13$. I thought it was shady that they would do that without telling us, and it seemed as if they just tried to sneak it past us without us noticing. When we asked another waitress about it, she said maybe it was because we were splitting the bill but she thought it was weird. I didn't want to seem petty for arguing over 50 cents, which was the extra once we split it, but I was not happy about it. Overall I would go back because the food was good and the server was friendly, but I'll make sure to check the bill before paying. read more

I love wings and I have eaten at every name brand place and local joint I can find and these wings are as good as they get! I love ordering the wings with a mixed sauce of Killer and Sweet Chili. An important note is that I usually enjoy boneless wings however do NOT order boneless from Frickers. The "boneless wings" are mediocre thin chicken strips. If you want fries make sure to order a side per person as the serving size is small. The Frick burger was also pretty good. Wings (5 stars - heavily weighted) Burgers (4 stars - very good) As a note to some of the other reviewers I have never had poor service at Fricker's however I have had the same waitress almost every time! read more

This place has always been famous for having the most ho-hum wait staff and food. They still pack em in though, because they got smart and began offering 2 things years ago- dollar beers and kid friendly perks like eating for free and a big game room section. Where else can local parents go to have a beer (or two or three) and unload their kids to play at the same time for 2 hours. Trust me, not judging, I know I took advantage of this on several occasions in the past. Just makes me wonder why a similar place like jeds down the street doesn't do the same thing... so gotta at least give it 2 stars for the only true parent/kid friendly wing place in the greater Toledo area read more
