Came here with the girls, so naturally I didn't take many photos because we just talk the whole time and maybe get some food in with a few drinks. I've been here a time or two with friends and the ambiance and food is always amazing. They have a phenomenal happy hour menu and man does the place fill up fast. My friend made reservations and I'm glad she did. We went on a Thursday and the place was packed to the brim. We ordered the truffle fries and the fried cauliflower for happy hour prices. My favorite part of the fried cauliflower is they offer to toss them in all the different sauces. We ordered them "bare" with the garlic sauce on the side with their homemade ranch and wowza! They were PHENOMENAL! We ordered the Greek Chicken to split and we were wanting more. The flavors were absolutely delicious and so fresh. It's an amazing spot! read more

This week Date Night happened on Saturday due to work schedule. We worked in the yard all day weeding and "installing" mulch in landscape beds surrounding the back yard. Only a bit more to do before it will be completed. We arrived just after 7pm and were able to get seats at the bar = yay! Surprisingly not as busy as anticipated = bonus! Service at the bar is always above and beyond. Tonight it almost seemed personal as we were the only ones seated at the bar for a while. Ambiance is somewhat upscale-casual. We ordered the following: 1) Southern Tier, Cheat Day - Imperial Ale 2) Asiago Truffle Trifecta 3) BPH Signature Wings - Coffee Whiskey BBQ 4) Sous Vide Chicken w CBT side salad Food as usual was delicious. We were able to take advantage of a Foodie Card with a $10 discount. BPH offers 3 $10 discounts for a single card. The total of $30 discount is almost the same as the price paid of the entire deck of Foodie Cards! A win-win for sure. read more

In the area by chance and found Barrs Public House for lunch. In a short strip center but the vibe nice you enter is a welcoming. The staff greeted us war kilt and seated us right away. We started with feta & pita chips, soo good. We had Kobe sliders and Kobe smash burger and they were done perfectly. The love a good smash burger and this was in my top 3 of all time. read more

We've known about Barr's since day one, but due to the location, it's remained completely off our radar. It was only when we recently planned to go to Walt Churchill's market across the street, that we reminded ourselves we still needed to stop by, and we're really glad we did, because the burgers are pretty damn tasty. While I found the meat a little overworked, it was seasoned exceptionally strong, in the best way possible. My wife and I both chose the Kobe smash burgers, hers with one patty, and mine with three, stealing her extra. Long story short, I'd happily eat a triple patty from Barr's Public House any day of the week. The truffle fries were tasty too, but extremely greasy. The sweet & spicy side salad was also a bit of a miss with the greens a little too wilty and soft for our preference. Service was welcoming, and while the atmosphere is a bit generic, with a dimly lit gastro pub vibe, we enjoyed the attention to details and there is no question we'll be back. BPH is a great excuse to add Walt Churchill's more on a permanent grocery rotation, and even if we don't need to do any shopping, Barr's is still worth the effort. read more

2.75 rounded to 3.0. We used to come here allot, it was a local watering hole for people at work. We also had business dinners here sometimes and even buffets for larger groups. We loved that it was close and they had a good beer list and a cozy atmosphere. About five years ago we had a number of bad experiences with service, spread out over 2 years and amongst half a dozen people or so, and was even treated somewhat rudely a few times. In addition the drink prices went up (all precovid). Quite a number of us stopped going and have not been back in years. It is worth a try if you need a change from your current places you normally visit. Watch the service, which may have improved since then and the prices. read more

A few times here now and each time it's been a good experience. Good selection of beer that's always changing. Many are available on draft, but there's also quite a selection of cans as well. Food-wise I've had a few different things and they have all been good. Their chicken tenders are probably my favorite. Always cooked well and their BBQ sauce is good. Mac and cheese has always been good, both as entree and as a side. The Kobe smash burger is not bad either although I think the other burgers may be better. Amazing food and drinks. Can't wait to try more! I got their old fashioned and it was delicious. Great sipper to have with dinner. For dinner I got the sous vide ribs and omg it's a must. Tender fall off the bone delicious. My bf got the short rib Shepard pjs and also was very good! We were stuffed but they had a special dessert of crème brûlée cheesecake and those are my two fav desserts so to have it mushed into one. I wanted more the next day. Should of ordered two slices to go. I went during valentines so there was a pairing special. It consisted of 4 wines and 4 small bites. We had it for an app and I thought maybe it was more dessert but I'm glad we did it before hand bc I would of been too full. There was cheese, crostini, chocolate cover strawberry. Barr's Public House was very warm and inviting. The service was excellent, we sat in the bar area and about half way through our meal a new server came an introduced themselves. Drinks were excellent as well. The food was good but had some areas of needed improvement. I had the ahi-tuna tacos. The tuna was amazing, cooked perfectly and flavored well. The greens and sauce were fresh as well. The only negative was the whole wheat pita took over the dish and over powered everything. My husband had the black and blue steak sandwich. The cocktail menu is very inventive and challenging to narrow down to a choice. Our table ordered three cocktails and all were delightful: a) walnut mint julep: makers mark/ fresh mint/ black walnut bitters / house-made walnut syrup/ over crushed ice b) bourbon cherry smash: Muddled House Brandied Cherries/ Basil Hayden/ Carpano Antiqua Vermouth/ Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur c) blueberry-lavender margarita: Blueberry Lavender syrup, St. Germain, Tequila Blanco, Fresh Lemon, Fresh blueberriers We ordered a basket of sweet potato fries for the table while figuring out our finalists for dinner choices. The sweet potato fries come with a sweet dipping sauce but were also quite good on their own. (They also can come tossed in cinnamon-sugar for those who prefer the dessert treatment of a sweet potato. I appreciated the option to have them savory, lightly salted.) Our dinner orders: 1) sous-vide ribs (half rack), with fried brussel sprouts, side of macaroni & cheese 2) bowl of chicken noodle soup 3) Guinness "impossible" sloppy joe with side of macaroni & cheese 4) "impossible" sliders (with cheddar) and side of macaroni & cheese 5) spinach-poppy seed salad, asiago truffle trifecta 6) cajun pasta, added chicken The only leftovers? Half the chicken noodle soup (5-yr old loved it and insisted on taking it home so it was really good as well) and about half the asiago truffle trifecta - enormous portion and simply too much for me to eat along with a salad. The service is impeccable, social-distancing is perfected, and the food. My goodness, the food was out of this world fantastic. Tips: 1) allow time to study the menu - in advance, if possible, but bring your smart phone and scan the link at the reception area so you can peruse the menu.
