We were able to have good conversations and enjoy the music at the same time. The menu has a great variety and all of us really enjoyed our meals. Including a couple of great cake cakes for dessert that are made in house. Service was also great. Even though the place was packed, the staff were very attentive and made sure that everything was going well. They also have quite the drink selection with many how special creations that were pretty tasty!

We tried the Lobster Bisque ( very creamy and tasty, one of best in Toledo area I have had) the French Onion ( best we have had in a while, loaded with onions, a tasty broth and a melted cheese cap do thick they actually give a small pair os scissors to cut the strings!) and an appetizer of pretzel nuggets with a hot jalapeno cheese sauce ( pretty good) . The venue was very busy so service was a little slow, server apologized at check out, I think maybe they were perhaps short of help as she was doing double duty as bartender too, be that being said we will be back to try the other items on the menu soon! Recommend it 100%

I've been here a time or two with friends and the ambiance and food is always amazing. They have a phenomenal happy hour menu and man does the place fill up fast. My friend made reservations and I'm glad she did. We went on a Thursday and the place was packed to the brim. We ordered the truffle fries and the fried cauliflower for happy hour prices. My favorite part of the fried cauliflower is they offer to toss them in all the different sauces. We ordered them "bare" with the garlic sauce on the side with their homemade ranch and wowza! They were PHENOMENAL! We ordered the Greek Chicken to split and we were wanting more. The flavors were absolutely delicious and so fresh. It's an amazing spot!

Only a bit more to do before it will be completed. We arrived just after 7pm and were able to get seats at the bar = yay! Surprisingly not as busy as anticipated = bonus! Service at the bar is always above and beyond. Tonight it almost seemed personal as we were the only ones seated at the bar for a while. Ambiance is somewhat upscale-casual. We ordered the following: 1) Southern Tier, Cheat Day - Imperial Ale 2) Asiago Truffle Trifecta 3) BPH Signature Wings - Coffee Whiskey BBQ 4) Sous Vide Chicken w CBT side salad Food as usual was delicious. We were able to take advantage of a Foodie Card with a $10 discount. BPH offers 3 $10 discounts for a single card. The total of $30 discount is almost the same as the price paid of the entire deck of Foodie Cards! A win-win for sure.

I don't know enough about Toledo Chinese cuisine, but this is better than most as compared to MI…read more Food, quantity, takeout, service, quality all very high. Price point is VERY fair. We've been here twice now. None of the dishes disappointed. We order off the authentic menu. They even have a "special" authentic menu that is seen only when you enter the restaurant. I think they are Cantonese. They don't skimp on portion sizes. Dishes are flavorful. Authentic menu is indeed AUTHENTIC. We asked 1 - low salt, 2 - low oil, 3 - no MSG and these preferences were honored. They even called back saying one of the dishes was a bit heavy in oil so that we could potentially order something else. They called us when the takeout order was ready. The Midwest needs more restaurants like these. If I lived closer I would come way more often. Best of all you get this for a very fair price point. It is not the inflationary/expensive price for low-quantity sub-par asian food you see now-adays. Come here if you are near the area. Ambiance is average and unassuming, like most great Chinese restaurants!

This is an understated little gem. Came her on parents weekend. Really wanted to avoid food…read morechains and crowds. Just wanted to go to a little spot with no wait, could watch sports game, and play games with our BGSU student, low key relaxed. This little spot checked all the boxes. We started with coctail drinks, hubby had the peach cobbler old fashion, it was fantastic with a finish that really makes you feel like you just had a delightful peach pie. I had the Wolf, really good, quite stronger than you would expect. Would get it again. What gives their drinks a next level is that with some like peach cobble they make a peach ice cube, and for the Wolf it's a pumpkin ice cube, it just elevates the drink a little farther. We kinda did an appetizer meal. Daughter had sweet potato tots, I had beer cheese pretzel, and hubby the sausage platter with brats, kielbasa, and polish sausage. Gonna be honest, despite my last name, I HATE sausage, I'm sure my ancestors are cringing. They have made me a fan. My favs were the polish and kielbasa esp with the kraut. Just surprising and such great flavor all around. I mean how can you also go wrong with pirogies. It was a solid dish. Daughter's sweet potato tots also great. Again, gonna be unpopular here, hate sweet potato fries. These were of a different family, they weren't soggy or like the hand cut fries, yep, hate those too. Genuinely different from their icky sweet potato fries relative. Pretzels with beer cheese will easily feed 8, it's huge, cheese is unusual in a great way. Server was Caroline, shout out to her, super attentive and gave great recommendations. Will be back!

We read…read morethe restaurant's reviews and stopped by for a late lunch at 3 p.m. They lock the doors at 4 p.m. We were impressed. There were two people who came before us, and then a group of 14, and then my husband and me, followed by another bunch of people into a restaurant that was already packed. The waitresses did not even bat an eyelid. They were very polite and were busy doing their work. They were helping seat people as well as checking out people who had just eaten. We only waited about 15 - 20 mins. In the meantime, we chatted with the locals, who told us how often they came here just to eat the pies. When we got seated, the first thing we ordered and got started on were the AMAZING pies (chocolate PB for me and custard for my husband). Oh my God, they were out of the world yummy! We got to watch the ladies on the grill as they made the food. My husband ordered he Swiss steak and I had the double hamburger with all the fixings. The food is great but so are the people who work here --they are just so friendly, have worked here for years and truly care. You don't see this anymore. If I lived here, I would come here once a week to chitchat with them and eat PIE!! Make sure you come here. This place is a gem and has been here since 1948.

For pure variety, EBW is tops in town. There's at least 18 beers available at any given time (assuming that nothing has sold out yet). Probably, their flagship brew is the "Crunchy Hippie Granola Brown Ale." Not my fav, but it is popular around The Glass City. There's usually 4 or 5 IPAs on tap at any given time. How are they? I'm an IPA rookie...you'd have to ask Summer D, next time she's home. Depending upon the temperature, you can find me drinking (almost any friggin' beer, but I really like) wheat beers and stouts/porters. Right now, EBW is offering Scotch Barrel Aged Orion the Hunter Black Imperial Wheat...awesome at 11.2 v/v EtOH! Talk about the best of both worlds! Food? How about popcorn? BUT, food trucks and Pizza Cat are often available. Then again, you didn't come here to eat, did you? The first documentation of beer being brewed in these lands dates back to 432 years ago (although we're pretty sure that the Indians brewed beer before this). That's a long time. Keep the tradition alive! When you're in South Toledo, have a beer at Earnest Brew Works! 5 stars!!
