This is a great late night bar! We've been here tons of times. In the warmer months, they have food trucks in try front and a really cool outdoor patio in the back. They always have the TV's on the best games on and the beer selection is pretty stellar. Great spot for a drink! read more

A solid fun spot. They have a huge patio area out back that is very chill. Friendly bartenders and local patrons. It gets packed when they have entertainment. The main bathrooms are upstairs with a unisex downstairs. I didn't see a menu. I didn't think they offer food anymore. There are usually food trucks parked out front. read more

Saturday February 27th, Tony and I visited the bar or Tavern called "The Bronze Boar down the street from "Ye Olde Cock n' Bull" on Huron Street in Toledo Ohio It was our first time there. Not very large inside but inside a Historical building on the National Register. No one inside but us, the bartender and waitress, cleaning for the upcoming busy night ahead. There is an outside area as well and a group of about 6-8 patrons was out there. Tony ordered a PBR on draft for $2 and I went with a coke with lime & cherry. Nice bar in the Historical Warehouse District of Toledo. There is paid parking lots or meter on street parking. We chose the meter. Great place, if in the area I would return here and recommend that you try it too!!! read more

We stopped in to hang out before & after a Mudhens game. The prices are reasonable & they have Keno to play while your drinking. We met a few of the bartenders in the two days we were there & other than one, the staff is pretty cool. The band that played Friday was not bad & Saturday night they had a band outside in the backyard patio area. Three stars for this place because it could use a facelift & a little cleaning. Oh, did I mention they have a pet squirrel? His name is buddy & he hangs out at the front door. All in all, not a bad spot. read more

Came here with some friends last week because it was the only place open after 11:00 PM on a week night downtown. The bartender was nice, though seemed to ignore certain members of our party at times. The karaoke was unbearably loud and godawful. The drinks were cheap. The place was tiny. According to signage, someone had stolen the Bronze Boar's namesake statue from the ROOF and there is a bounty for its return. How do you even accomplish that? There is street parking. We would have liked to go upstairs where it was quieter, but there was no one tending bar up there so we stuck it out downstairs. I suppose as far as dive bars in Toledo go, this place isn't too bad. Just don't go on karaoke night or alone. read more

While the staff is friendly and the service prompt, I cannot provide a rating of more than 1 star to a business that can't get it through their heads that credit card fees are part of the cost of doing business. It's not like their drinks are super cheap or anything, 2-3% is just the cost of conducting business in modern America. Even more annoying than the fact that a fee is charged on card transactions, the sign very poorly displays information about the fee. If I am understanding its wording correctly, sales tax (7%) is only charged to customers that pay with a credit card?!?! This sounds super shady and I'm pretty sure the state and county should look in to it. Bottom line, they have a great selection and friendly productive staff. But until they can dig they can dig their head out of the sand and stop surcharging 10% to customers that pay with a credit/debit card, I will not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Went pre and post MudHens game on a Saturday night. Service was bad, but because they had one employee working. Back sand patio is pretty nice, but no service back there. Could use some more tables. Very few tables for the mass amount of space back there. Bathroom is clean and usable, but it's the only one. Came back after the game and had a live band. Music was crap but tolerable. We were scolded by some hippie with knappy braids when we tried to move a 4th chair to our table that had 3. He was using an entire table and all 4 chairs to sell some hippie crap. It must've been some hipster millennial night, and the weed was heavy in the air. Was a food truck outside which is nice if you get hungry. Not sure if they're always there. It's a good place to get grab a few drinks if you're not in a hurry. Would probably go back and try again and hope the hippies stayed home. read more

Service is piss poor if u r from out of town. At last call bouncers pulled full drinks out of our hands right after they sold them, but let the locals finish their drinks. Why the discrimination? When I asked I was grabbed & escorted out of bar. The old bouncer who prob can't get a job elsewhere was absolutely rude & only enforced the laws/rules for the out of towners. Locals were left alone. So if u want to be mistreated for being out of town this is the place. Since I travel 2 weeks out of the month I couldn't believe the rude customer service at this place. No need to try it out! On a suggestion from some people I me at a Mud Hens game (visiting Toledo) they suggested I check out the Bronze Boar. The Bar Maid was not very good at what she does. Had to ask me twice what I wanted because she forgot (they weren't busy) and I had to ask for a water 3 times. I had to ask where the restroom is because there was no sign on the door. Also, it didn't happen to me, but I was witness to it, Another patron got a Cup of darts by giving his ID. He brought them back and told the bartender that there were no tips on the darts. The Male Bartender had this blank look on his face and gave no excuse and just put the cup back and put it behind the bar, and handed the ID back. How do you not say, "I apologize sir, let me see if I can find some?" (Make an effort people!) Just a poorly run place. Zero customer service skills. On a positive note; my beer was cold and relatively inexpensive. read more

A rinky-dink little place with a boar's head on the wall. Come here for cheap drinks, privacy, and maybe some live music; don't head in to the Boar if you want a crowd or if you are picky about how your drinks are made. There is a decent upstairs area with pool tables and a dart board. read more

Came in here last weekend. Kinda dug the place. We stopped in during the early evening, so there weren't too many people in the bar. Stepped out back and enjoyed a couple drinks at one of the tables out back. Plenty of space, nice atmosphere. My first experience at bronze boar the bartender took my License and tried to tell me it was fake. A whole scene ensued and they finally gave me back my drivers license. Luckily them turning me away saved me from having a slightly more severe hangover. Would not make an appearance again though lol read more

Went there over the weekend and the bartender GAVE MY CC to someone else. Then, started putting my drinks on my sisters tab (because we have the same last name) and I would make clear each time what my first name was so there wouldn't be any confusion. A different bartender came to me and said she couldn't find my card. Her explanation was, "The other bartender fanned out the cards and the woman pointed out which on was hers." WHAT???? They proceeded to charge me the same amount as before and added what I presume is a tip. I had to go back and pick up my card because they tracked down the woman. They also tried charging my sisters card for more than she had ordered to make up for my tab...this place is pure trash. read more

One of my favorite bars downtown toledo. Quieter during the week and usually a decent sized crowd on the weekends. Drinks are on the cheap side and all of the bartenders are quick with drinks, and they actually can mix good drinks. I live downtown, and we usually go in here once a week or so. Music is not always the greatest, but it also does not suck compared to some of the other bars downtown. It's nice to go upstairs to get away from the crowd or play pool or darts. I have never seen the upstairs bar with a bartender behind it. (Rip it out and put something else up there!) This bar is very relaxed, and i would say the crowd range is usually in the 25-40 year old group. Good mix of people with good music. read more
