Saturday February 27th, Tony and I visited the bar or Tavern called "The Bronze Boar down the street from "Ye Olde Cock n' Bull" on Huron Street in Toledo Ohio It was our first time there. Not very large inside but inside a Historical building on the National Register. No one inside but us, the bartender and waitress, cleaning for the upcoming busy night ahead. There is an outside area as well and a group of about 6-8 patrons was out there. Tony ordered a PBR on draft for $2 and I went with a coke with lime & cherry. Nice bar in the Historical Warehouse District of Toledo. There is paid parking lots or meter on street parking. We chose the meter. Great place, if in the area I would return here and recommend that you try it too!!!

We stopped in to hang out before & after a Mudhens game. The prices are reasonable & they have Keno to play while your drinking. We met a few of the bartenders in the two days we were there & other than one, the staff is pretty cool. The band that played Friday was not bad & Saturday night they had a band outside in the backyard patio area. Three stars for this place because it could use a facelift & a little cleaning. Oh, did I mention they have a pet squirrel? His name is buddy & he hangs out at the front door. All in all, not a bad spot.

Came here with some friends last week because it was the only place open after 11:00 PM on a week night downtown. The bartender was nice, though seemed to ignore certain members of our party at times. The karaoke was unbearably loud and godawful. The drinks were cheap. The place was tiny. According to signage, someone had stolen the Bronze Boar's namesake statue from the ROOF and there is a bounty for its return. How do you even accomplish that? There is street parking. We would have liked to go upstairs where it was quieter, but there was no one tending bar up there so we stuck it out downstairs. I suppose as far as dive bars in Toledo go, this place isn't too bad. Just don't go on karaoke night or alone.

I stopped in on a quiet Sunday night before a concert at the Seagate Conference Center. Friendly, attentive service make it certain I will be back before a Mudhens game this summer.

Huge selection of liquors...This is just the vodka selection.

Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...

TL;DR Excellent neighborhood bar with better than average food…read more This place is comfortable and friendly, but this is definitely a working man's neighborhood bar...just a little rough around the edges. The decor is all over the place! FOOD: I was impressed by the menu. I have never seen Flaming Saganaki on the menu at a neighborhood bar before! GTSB&G has a bit of a Greek flavor. On the menu, you'll find Greek chicken parm, a legit Greek salad, gyro, and chicken gyro, and Saganaki! I did not ask to see if they have OUZO! I didn't have any of the Greek food, but I will say that the GT burger (hold the bacon, add some mayo) was fantastic. 1/2 pound of tasty beef cooked to a perfect medium well. The toppings were fresh and high-quality. Even the French fries, although a little soggy, were delicious. I didn't drink, but it seems as though there is a pretty average selection of draft beer, maybe above average for the type of bar that this is. SERVICE: The service was pretty good. My food came out pretty quickly and the bar maid was very friendly. As the place started to fill up more, I noticed that she was doing a good job at keeping up with all the orders. So far, so good. 4 stars for now. I will be back to try some the other food. If it compares favorably to the burger, good times we will get another star!

The bar area was really cool with a large garage door to open in the warner months, 3 different slushy machines (non-alcohol option as well), a claw machine and cold beer on tap. Great spot for a bar and fun activities to do inside.

The place where I was meeting friends was actually another side of the building called Hannon's Garage. Once I got to the very small table, I looked at the menu and saw the drink menu was very small. Me and my friend decided to order a watermellon drink, something different. The waitress seem to be scrambling and forgot us for awhile. Then finally brought our drinks. I took one sip and almost choked on a watermelon seed. The drink had fresh watermelon (puree), which i didnt like and a bunch of mint! It taste horrible, like watermelon water! Then I ordered a crab cake, and when that finally came, it looked amazing! I took one bite out of it and fell in love, then tried to share with the table and immediately noticed a long black hair sticking out of the meat of my crab cake! I could not believe this! I was very upset and just let down because it was sooo good. Then the silverware didnt match in the napkins, my friend got two drinks, waitress opened the wrong flavor of drink and gave both to him, After all the mishaps, I don't think Ill be back at this place again. Nice wait staff though.

After all, I would have never, EVER, thought that an upscale "Pickleball bar" (and restaurant, and entertainment center) would work in, for all intents and purposes, downtown Toledo! Only time will tell if Toledo Pickle Company is successful, but based on what I've seen so far, I think it will be. And, I certainly hope that it is! The atmosphere inside is bustling with energy. It's modern, clean, wide open, unique, and comfortable. The outdoor patio/bar is surprisingly scenic! Even for those who don't play Pickleball, this place will be fun! The service at the bar, from Isabella, was top-notch. She took my order the old fashioned way; my food came out in about 10 minutes. She was super friendly and informative. As far as the food goes, I've only had the slaw and the Smashburger. The burger was pretty good. It was certainly no 'Handy Andy,' but I still enjoyed it. The slaw, was really excellent...nice and creamy with a strong peppery flavor...no need to add hot sauce. I'll definitely be back, with others in tow, to try more of the fare. The developers of this establishment, IMO, really, REALLY thought outside of the box when they put it here. Even though I don't play pickle ball (yet), I'll definitely be back. Another thing: The next time I'm hosting Out-of-Towners, and I'm trying to "sell the city," Toledo Pickle Company will be on my shortlist. 5 stars!
