Fried Green Tomato Open Faced Brunch Sandwich...i requested hollandaise on the side (and recommend you do the same). This sandwich was out if this world, 10/10 delicious. Every flavor popped...the perfectly cooked eggs, crunchy bacon, tender crisp fried green tomatoes, solid, flavorful, hash brown patty and the light buttery croissant. The hollandaise was a thick, creamy and very rich addition that perfectly complimented the sandwich in moderation. After tasting it, I was thrilled that i had asked for it on the side as I felt it would have overwhelmed the savory goodness of that stacked perfection. Each flavor and texture played beautifully with the next. I will definitely return on our next Toledo visit!
We stopped here sort of a detour on our way home from Ohio and it was worth a stop because the atmosphere was beautiful. It was in a restored warehouse and the food and waitress was very nice. I got the turkey wrap and upgraded to steak fries. My friend got one of the Durty bird burgers and really liked it. He also upgraded to steak fries. I brought half of my wrap home for leftovers.
I've always had a soft spot for a good dive bar. There's just something about a place with a little grit, good people, and zero pretense that feels like home. While Ye Olde Durty Bird isn't a true dive, it hits a lot of the notes I love... and then some. The place has character. It's got that old building charm with exposed brick, creaky floors, and a lived-in vibe you can't fake. The staff treats you like a regular even if it's your first time through the door, which matters to me way more than a fancy cocktail list. Now, about the food... I came for the wings because people kept hyping them up, and I get why. They're crispy, messy in the right way, and loaded with flavor. Their burgers are legit too, big enough to require both hands and perfectly cooked. And while I'll usually take a cheap can of beer over anything else, their draft list has enough local and craft options to keep even a beer snob happy. I love spots where you can catch a game, have a drink, chat with whoever's sitting next to you, and leave full and a little buzzed without breaking the bank. Durty Bird nails that vibe. It's not trying to be fancy, it's just good at what it does - and for someone like me who loves a great dive but can appreciate a well-run gastropub, it hits the sweet spot. Definitely the kind of place I'd come back to, belly up to the bar, and make a night out of it.

This was my first time in as I have heard good things about this place in downtown Toledo. Overall, the food here is pretty good and the menu is huge so you will definitely find something that you like. I would say the menu is pretty overwhelming to look at as there are so many things to choose from. you will get a good meal here and the portion sizes are pretty good however a bit pricy in my opinion for what you are getting. The salad was very big however it was almost 20 dollars and I was charged a good amount to add olives/peppers which I was unaware of. I thought the onion rings and brussel sprouts were a small size for the portion of an appetizer and the price and both of them I could have gone without. The mushroom burger was very undercooked, and the service was friendly however did feel a bit rushed to order. The place was cool on the inside and tucked into downtown toledo, I would like to sit on the back patio in the summer during the nice weather. overall, this place is a good spot in toledo however I do not think I will go out of my way to come back. but if you go i recommend the salad!
I love this place. the food is always tasty, the beer is always cold, and the service very friendly. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. I recommend this place and is my go to spot. You won't go wrong if you're not sure where to try.

My boyfriend, mom and I stopped here before a concert in the area, thanks to a recommendation from the guy working the car lot. There was a concert and a mudhens game in the area and we arrived before the rush! We sat outside and it was very windy but very hot. We couldn't open the umbrella because the wind was too much. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap while the rest of my party had burgers. Delicious! I especially loved the hot grilled chicken in the wrap. Handhelds are served with potato chips or you can get fries for an upcharge. The burgers were tasty. The portions are quite large. We could have walked away with leftovers if we had a cooler to keep them cold.
Close to fifth third field this place is hopping. Plenty of seating inside and a lovely outdoor patio as well. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The chicken chunks are a healthy alternative but heavy on sauce. I had hot which was good but next time I'd ask for on the side. Would have prefer more celery than 1 stick and 1 carrot. My partner had the Cuban on a hoagie roll . There was the option for wheat or white bread as well. He said it was very good. We also stopped back later to use the " Dora Station" for " to go" drinks. Service there was fast and friendly as well.
I was just passing through and saw that this place had good reviews so I decided to check it out. The second reason that I decided to try, it was because of the name, I think it's hilarious. But in all seriousness, this place had a very large menu with many different options to choose from, which I always love. I ordered the "club classic "with french fries and a side of the smoked Gouda mac & cheese. As you can see in the photo of the sandwich is a serious sandwich that was very large and I could only eat half of it. The ingredients were fresh and I loved how toasted the bread was. The mac & cheese was also quite yummy. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

We came here for drinks before dinner and were seated on the outdoor covered patio section. They have a huge food menu, so there's something for everyone! I ordered three Milky Way martini and the vanilla surprise. Both were fantastic! I see this place in my future for lunch! read more

We stopped by for dinner before a concert at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheater. The place was hopping because there was also a Toledo Mud Hens game. Our service was excellent and the bathrooms are very clean. The food was delicious . We shared the French dip, very tender roast beef, and Brussel sprouts. We also had the French onion soup which I thought was very good! We enjoyed our dinner and plan returning! read more

I got the lamb sliders and they were not only perfectly cooked and juicy but they were probably the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. The service was quick and since I went on a Monday afternoon it was quiet and relatively empty. 10/10 definitely coming back next time I'm in Toledo. read more
This was the second time we came to this establishment. We stopped here last year during our last trip to Toledo. Just as last year I commented on their hours of operation. They are a full-service bar/restaurant, located in downtown Toledo, very close to the Mud Hens home field (the Detroit Tigers Minor League Baseball team). Yet they close at 8 pm every business day. Last year when we came in, I recall them rushing us (it was approximately 7:00 pm) about when they closed. This year we arrived by 6:30 or earlier and still felt incredibly rushed. More on this in a minute. The menu is large, but nonmeat options were small. They offer a Vegan Mediterranean Beyond Burger, that is advertised as "cooked separately" served in a lettuce wrap with our chickpea sauce, topped with arugula, red onion, and olive tapenade then garnished with sliced cucumber, cherry tomato, and sesame seed sprinkle. It comes with Chips. The chips were right out of a bag, so I looked to substitute a different side for $3.00. I asked about the French fries and if they are fried separately from other foods, such as chicken or fish. No, they are all fried in the same oil our server told us. I quickly requested a tossed salad, no cheese. Perhaps it's just my opinion but why do you fry everything together? The oil will taste like fish or chicken then you fry potatoes in there. They also advertise fried brussels sprouts and calamari. All goes in the same fryer. So, if you don't eat meat, you have very few options here, as even the non-meat starters are tainted. Anyways it was happy hour, and they offered a dollar off the draft list. I asked about one drink if it was a certain kind of beer, and she did not know and went to check. She did not seem too knowledgeable on the draft list, so I ordered what sounded like a hazy IPA. We were enjoying our drinks when our food came out probably within 10 minutes of ordering. I was hungry so no complaints on the quickness. My burger was fine. It was served in this big, very hard to handle lettuce bun. My biggest complaint about the burger would be the olive tapenade. It tasted fine but was plopped on the burger in a dallop. And since this is wrapped in lettuce it was not like I could open it up like a bun. So, I got a big mouthful of tapenade all at once... YIKES, salty... Speaking of salty I was mid-bite, still at least half a sandwich or more, at least half a beer in front of me when the server came over to ask, "will you be having desert?" I am chewing, which was obvious when she stopped over, so I decided to answer with my mouth full. "Maybeee" in a muffled voice, I hadn't even finished my bite. One may think it was like 15 minutes until closing time, when it was 7:00pm. I finished that bite and we both agreed to get our next drink elsewhere. The review is mixed. I liked the burger though it had flaws. The location is great, atmosphere is cool sports bar like, and the staff albeit made me feel rushed an hour before they closed, were nice. But so many other things, I am not sure I'd bother coming back. read more

The Hot Honey Crispy Bird lives up to the hype--crispy, juicy, and coated in a sweet but spicy honey sauce. We got the Brussels sprouts and Durty Chili Mac on the side, both packed with flavor and perfect for comfort food cravings. The place has an old-school pub feel where people from all walks of life gather, and the staff is fun, friendly, and make you feel right at home. Right across from the Mud Hens Stadium. Stopped in for lunch after spending the morning/early afternoon at the zoo and I'm glad that we did! Being from out of town, I wanted to pick a nice spot for a relaxing lunch and got just that. We started w/ the onion ring app and while they were frozen, they were quite good! It helps that the rings were cooked long enough to where they were done; not soggy or gummy and falling a part and not overdone to where they were impossible to eat. My main was the Big Italian and it was... big! Menu states that the meat is one full pound between the pepperoni, ham and salami and I believe it. I barley finished one half. The olive spread was a nice touch; makes it like a muffuletta, so that was a nice touch, even if it didn't have mild yellow peppers. I was able to try a few local beers here as well and overall, had a nice time! Our service was fast and friendly and we left satisfied. read more

Nice establishment across from the baseball stadium. My friend & I had a late lunch in the offseason and received good service. The hot honey chicken was ample in size and not too spicy. I opted for the chips, which were ok. They have a great beer selection too. read more

After wandering Toledo, I was craving a burger and opted to try Ye Old Durty Bird. It was so busy at 130pm but we were able to grab seats at the bar. The bartender recommended that we try one of her favorites - Pimento Cheese and Bacon Burger - and split it with a side of salad. It comes with chips and a pickle, but we upgraded to a salad instead. The burger came out quickly and we were very happy with the random stop and choice! There is a little parking lot to the side of the building, maybe fits 20 cars at best, but there is ample street parking. Very typical sports bar but I enjoyed it and felt like it wasn't overly loud given the volume of patrons when we went! read more
I've often utilized "UberEats" for Ye Olde Durty Bird delivery. Then one day two little birdies decided to fly by for dinner. LOL! We ordered Lamb Sliders for appeteasers which was mouthwatering and tasted just as good as the appearance. To my surprise they serve Beyond Burgers. Therefore, we tried the Beyond BBQ Burger and the Vegan Mediterranean Beyond Burger. Corey devoured the Vegan Mediterranean Beyond Burger, in other words, it was delicious. The BBQ Beyond Burger didn't hit my tastebuds as hard as I was expecting. Maybe I'm too accustomed to Corey's famous beyond burgers. If you love BBQ & Crispy Fried Onions on a burger, you'd love the BBQ Beyond Burger. Our server, Stephen/Steven was amazing! read more
Stopped in yesterday Nov 26th. Drove up from Columbus for a day trip, I love finding new foodie places and Yelp brought us here. My lady loved her lamb sliders. The bartender was WONDERFUL!!! I was so into the food I don't get her name but she was great!!
