Mushroom Swiss burger with fries to go with
    Melissa S.

I ordered to go mushroom Swiss burger with bacon. It was large with a lot of bacon. The fries would have been great but was too salty to even eat. Cole slaw was ok but not great

    Amazing light from Germany.

Where-O-Where to begin. The building is extraordinary with so very many details. Take time, look around, study the details..... You won't be disappointed. The service, from owner Dylan to server Elise, we felt like royalty. Constant checking without being a pain. The food..... HOLY MOLY, it was great. The 'Notorious BRC' mac-n-cheese. Homemade ranch, bacon, and shredded cheese. And the black bean burger, shut the front door!! Friends, take some time.... You won't be disappointed!

Totally cool Cafe aka Kafe in historic Grand Rapids. Tonight was the first time I went there with my hubs, sisters and bro in laws. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by the nicest employees. There are a couple window tables in front and more seating back past the bar area. We were seated back there since there were six of us. Our waitress was there immediately and got our drinks right away. Food was soon ordered and was served in a short time. We had a variety in our meal selection consisting of burgers, a BLT, sweet cherry salad and pork chops. The sides we had were fries, cole slaw and black beans. Everyone was more than satisfied with our meals and our waitress checked back a few times with more drinks. There is street parking and also parking on the side of the building. Very easy to enter and not far to walk. We will be going back since I had a salad this time which was delicious but with everyone raving about the burgers, I need to try one.

We were staying at the nearby Mill House bed-and-breakfast. The folks there said Knuckleheads Kafe was one of their favorite places to eat. We took their advice and were happy we did. Most of the time when we get fresh cut fries out somewhere they are soggy. These were hot, crispy, and fresh. The burgers were juicy and cooked just as we ordered. My wife got a glass of Moscato that she said was amazing. Highly recommended!

Best Cobb Salad around. Even the greens are excellent quality! Loads of Bacon, fresh Avocado, Blue cheese, Egg, and generous portion of grilled chicken. I chose this over the pork chop yesterday and glad I did!

Closed at 6 pm on a Thursday, even though the hours say they should be open. Going out of business?

Great feel to the place. Very good sandwiches. They serve some local micro brews, which I love to try. Fair prices.

The Log Cabin Tavern is modest in outer appearance, inside is a bright, clean and very attractive interior. Stained glass accents, tables well made, bright lighting makes for a very pleasant experience. Our good was wonderful, we started with fried green beans, crispy and tasty, I tried their American burger, two delicious patties with all the toppings you might wand and fantastic fries, my wife had the Brisket Gyro, nicely seasoned, peppery with a creamy tzatziki sauce. They have a nice pizza oven and we saw several mouth watering pizzas being served, we plan on returning soon to try one, our server Emma was very nice, we recommend 100%. We were informed they were out of pizza and filet. A slight bummer as one of the reasons I decided to go was for the pickle bread I saw online. We ordered some cheese logs (we figured they were large gooey cheese sticks given the name "logs" but it was more of a nod to the restaurant name as they were just run of the mill cheese sticks). From there things went mediocre. Service got slower, food coming out got slower, drink refills got slower....there appeared to be some waiter issues (we had time to people watch) but couldn't exactly tell what was going on. Our waitress was extremely busy, but it didn't seem the others were. Food was ok. I had the SOB chicken wrap and my husband had chicken chunks. The wrap was good but I would probably get something different should we find ourselves there again. The chicken chunks looked tiny but my husband said they were good. All in all, would we go again....yes, someday.

The building is an old train depot teaming with history with an awesome front courtyard for hanging out. Best of all though is their food. You can get a brisket sandwich for under 10 bones with meat just spilling out. They also have a fried baloney sandwich that I am trying the next time there. I saw others eating it and it looks incredible. Lastly, their beer prices are very good and they have a great selection of liquor as well. This is going to become one of my favs! We tried calling and looking on their website, but we didn't see anything, and I don't think they have a phone. We still had some of their regular bloody marys made by the owner, which were delicious. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and made us feel at home. The fried bologna sandwich was one of the best I've ever eaten. The bologna was very thick, and the bread was on thick, toasted Texas toast. The place was empty, so it was cool to have the entire back area to ourselves. The establishment was very cool and unique. I love the setup. It had a 60s/70s vibe. The inside was very clean. There was a huge pool table, darts, and board games. I also loved the huge moose and buffalo heads on the wall. Third Rail Saloon also has an outdoor area that looks like it would be a lot of fun in the summer. This place is a little pricey, in my opinion. Also, they didn't give us a receipt, and after we came home, we looked at our online debit card receipt and found that we were charged for two shots that we weren't supposed to be charged for. Overall, I think this place is awesome, and I would love to go back and try more menu items.
