    Italian Beef!
    Adam R.

The service was fast, friendly and brusque. Very Chicago. I got the Italian Beef hot and now my nose is running. I don't know Chicago food particularly well. It's possible that this is the absolute authentic Italian Beef, but I found it a little blander than I expected. It was good, for sure, but just not 5 stars. The prices are fine, $14 for the sandwich, fries, and a water. I think I'll come back again to try a Polish dog.

Cod fish sandwich and garlic fries

As this was my very first sit down at this eatery I was highly disappointed at the food. The biggest highlight was my side salad and my frozen caramel apple cider drink. My cod fish sandwich was simply a frozen patty from out of a plastic bag and not real fish and the replacement chicken sandwich was fried in the same oil as the fish so I was getting a fishy taste along with it. I politely took my chicken sandwich to go after having my husband take two bites of the sandwich. The garlic fries were not as anticipated either. They came out piping hot with just the perfect amount of salt. However, the whole lot of fries were covered in raw minced garlic and sprinkled with parsley. The raw garlic made the fries inedible for me.

Such a great first time experience. Greeted as soon as we came in the door and told where to find menus and order. We got the chili dog lunch with Cajun fries, came with 2 hotdogs which we was a nice surprise. Also ordered a Chicago dog meal with garlic fries. So good. Kids cheeseburger meal was good and the kids chicken meal was nice pieces of chicken, not pressed chicken. And the pineapple Agua Fresca was superb!!!

Excellent. I'm only taking a star away because I just don't care for the chicken noodle soup. I have ordered to go and for delivery. How bout no delivery fee, no extra service charge fees?. I'm sure it won't last but it is refreshing in the days of doordash and grubhub fees Staff is friendly and provide good service. I usually get the breakfast sandwich with apple wood bacon(Real bacon!!) With a hash brown and some kind of donut. All fresh and so much better than fast food. The lunch offerings are primarily sandwiches and soups. Burgers, chicken salad etc. At least 5 different soups daily. All yummy except the chicken noodle just doesn't do it for me. Not enough noodles for me. They actually specialize in chicago style dogs. Not my thing but my man says they are really good. Somehow my food delivery arrives hot and fresh even though I live across town. Keep up the good work

If you are looking for an authentic Italian beef look no further, great service, prices, and food. The Cobb salad was so big, flavourful, and so many toppings. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Toledo area

The menu has a wide range of options to choose from We got the ham & greyere omelette and added spinach which was one of the best omelettes I've had. The combo was a perfect mix of cheese with the saltiness and flavor of the ham. We also got the avocado toast with the basted egg which was very fresh. They used some very fresh avocados, it seems they used the whole avocado cause we surely weren't lacking. The biscuits and gravy were extremely good. The biscuits had a slight crunch and were freshly made. The turkey gravy was flavorful and light The drinks are premade but also very well done. Slightly on the sweeter side but still well done The restaurant was packed with a 15-20 min wait but there's a community table that we sat at and we were seated immediately, fun hack for couples. Only one other person sat at the table with us so it was like we had to it ourselves, though we wouldn't mind chatting to random strangers. We love this place and will be back

I was told they don't take reservations but that we could sign in to the waitlist. When we got in there was nobody under our group's name.. not sure if we didn't do it right but was a little confused by that. Either way, we were able to get a table right away, a nice booth in the back at that. It's kid friendly too which is always a plus. There is so much deliciousness on the menu it's great! There is something for everyone and all of it tastes great. I will say the chickichanga I had was a bit spicy but still really good. Also, you have to try the different drinks they have! I got the kale tonic and caramel crunch coffee, both AMAZING! Although if you're lactose intolerant I'd ask for dairy free milk and if you're not into sweet stuff this is probably not for you. I was a little disappointed in the waitress. She was super kind and personable but I felt like she didn't ask enough questions, like when I asked for the coffee she never asked what milk I wanted (I should've clarified but still). I also felt like she didn't show herself enough. It wasn't terribly busy so I felt she could've done better. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Most of the folks that come here during the week have been coming for years and years so are not as young as they used to be. Not really anywhere to drop them off. When I came in there was no one at the front entrance so I proceeded to the please seat me sign. I literally stood there longer than it took my food to come out. There were maybe 10 tables. Still work to be done here. Smaller than the old location with tables and booths all within view as you stand there. I was ready to order by the time the server made it to my table to take my drink order and I'm one to waffle over my orde for a bit. Friendly server and efficient once she got started. Got pancakes sausage eggs n potatoes. All came hot and tasty. And you know what? When i put the butter on top it actually melted. Yum. But it was, to me, kind of bland, as were the tomatoes and even the onion. Not bad, but when mild mayonnaise dominates the sandwich, it ain't my thing. But I'm a hot sauce enjoyer. To each their own. The fries were a bit better, lightly crisp flour-covered things, but again: kind of unexciting without ketchup. They were fine. The store's decor was mostly mom-n-pop nice, attractive and probably comfortable (I did takeout). The carpet was worn and maybe a bit grimy. I'm thinking that's because of the breakfast and lunch crowd the restaurant attracts, many of whom have been working hard at jobs that get their shoes dirty. No points off for that. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were good, and the portion they served me was just right for a hungry driver. Parking was easy and the store was easy to find and get to. Overall: fine. Not for me, but I can see why it gets four stars overall.

There were two people who came before us, and then a group of 14, and then my husband and me, followed by another bunch of people into a restaurant that was already packed. The waitresses did not even bat an eyelid. They were very polite and were busy doing their work. They were helping seat people as well as checking out people who had just eaten. We only waited about 15 - 20 mins. In the meantime, we chatted with the locals, who told us how often they came here just to eat the pies. When we got seated, the first thing we ordered and got started on were the AMAZING pies (chocolate PB for me and custard for my husband). Oh my God, they were out of the world yummy! We got to watch the ladies on the grill as they made the food. My husband ordered he Swiss steak and I had the double hamburger with all the fixings.
