    Thanksgiving menu
    Dale L.

We went for thanksgiving dinner. It was buffet style with a large assortment of different dishes. Turkey, prime rib, Swedish meatballs, beef burgundy, tons of sides, salads and desserts. For the holiday they seat you in the banquet room. I appreciated the fact they leave you enough room to maneuver your way through the tables to get to the buffet. Totally worth the $34.99 not to have to prepare food or clean up. My only suggestion would maybe be a few more toppings for your salad and a few more salad dressings, but that's only because I love salad.

    menu for easter sunday buffet

Cafeteria food with no flavor. Best way to describe the food. We went for Easter which was a buffet so I believe we got a good selection of their food here. Breakfast is probably made to order so may be why it gets better reviews. I posted a pic of the Easter buffet offerings so you have an idea. The only hot food that was replenished during our hour n half visit was the fried fish which was like fried fish strips. Mac n cheese was made with rigatoni noodles. Everything seriously just needed to be seasoned and I used the salt n pepper liberally. Desserts were obviously frozen stuff. Drinks included were koolade(no sugar) and watered down lemonade. Table service was basically for water and alcoholic drinks. No chardonnay and no pinot grigio. 20% gratuity added for 2 folks. Not advertised anywhere. So $80 for food that seriously reminded me of high school again. Had to apologize to my sweetie pie. We went for pizza at Village Idiot

Restaurants clean, atmosphere relaxing, wait stuff awesome, food was delicious tonight we had the beef stroganoff highly highly recommend it ! and the bourbon street chicken all the flavors on both platters were delicious!

I had an excellent entree at a reasonable price. I had the stroganoff for my first meal here and was delighted. They serve a more than generous portion and the dish was flavorful. The vegetables were cooked fully and seasoned precisely. The lobster bisque was good but nothing worth any awards. I give the bartender Karen 5 stars alone... Superb customer service. She was very efficient and paid attention to details. I'll be trying a steak next time or possibly one of the gourmet burgers. I'll dine here again.

It's in a shopping Center Plaza kind of off of the main road. I have been before but just for a beer. We sat at the bar area and the bartender was really nice. Sorry I didn't get her name. You can tell there's a lot of regulars that come here but we were treated just the same. They have about 10 taps and had a few ipas on there for me. What I really like is the prices. An IPA for $5? Can't hardly find that anymore. So we had two rounds of beer each and got two appetizers. I spinach dip and some pepperoni egg rolls. Both were actually really good. Spinach dip could use some more seasoning but that just seems to be the case almost everywhere anymore. Food came out fast and was delivered hot. Beer was Ice cold. It's kind of a small spot so you're either going to sit at the bar or at one of the few tables that are around the bar area. Lots of TVs around the bar. $31 for both of us. I do recommend.

Even though the place was packed, the staff were very attentive and made sure that everything was going well. So this place is doing its best to be a restaurant with a bar. I came in at 750. Closes at 9. Already odd to me. There was maybe 3 tables and 3 folks at the bar. Nobody at the please wait to be seated sign so I took myself to the bar. Looks the same to me as when it was a bar but now have tables n got rid of the stage where bands play. Sat there for a few before the bar tender came over. No drink/food menu offered. What can I get you is all? Can I get a drink menu please? No drink prices which if u read my read my reviews I hate this. Just got a beer because who knows how much the cocktail costs. Have to ask for a food specials menu. Not offered. I was a bartender. Alot of solo folks eat at the bar. Always ask if they need food/drink menu So the service picked up for a minute. Then I get this $25 lamb shank. Saturated in gravy. I couldn't even tell the meat from the gravy. I like lamb but this dish tastes like beef. I don't lik beef. Maybe it was the gravy. Someone did come up behind me n ask how i was doing but I was trying to figure out what was I eating and was it edible. The mashed potatoes that were buried under all that gravy were good. Maybe the lamb had good favor? Couldn't taste it. Couldn't tell u. Got a side of veggies that were very tender but not much flavor. Took 5 bites to not appear rude but there is another restaurant in town that has the lamb shank special with a bbq glaze and Mac n cheese as a side. Totally different stratosphere on flavor n taste. Tasted like lamb. Took it home n the man said it was all bones with bites of meat and it thought maybe it was beef gravy. So on to the service. I wanted dessert but the bartender at 830 had her back to the bar counting her tip $ so I caught a server that went behind the bar to order it to go as obviously they wanted me out? Bread pudding was decent. I don't think I would be back between the weird hours and the service it made we wish I spent my $40 at Texas Roadhouse. This is my second Sabas restaurant try. Not impressed

We've been here twice now. None of the dishes disappointed. We order off the authentic menu. They even have a "special" authentic menu that is seen only when you enter the restaurant. I think they are Cantonese. They don't skimp on portion sizes. Dishes are flavorful. Authentic menu is indeed AUTHENTIC. We asked 1 - low salt, 2 - low oil, 3 - no MSG and these preferences were honored. They even called back saying one of the dishes was a bit heavy in oil so that we could potentially order something else. They called us when the takeout order was ready. The Midwest needs more restaurants like these. If I lived closer I would come way more often. Best of all you get this for a very fair price point. It is not the inflationary/expensive price for low-quantity sub-par asian food you see now-adays. Come here if you are near the area. There were two people who came before us, and then a group of 14, and then my husband and me, followed by another bunch of people into a restaurant that was already packed. The waitresses did not even bat an eyelid. They were very polite and were busy doing their work. They were helping seat people as well as checking out people who had just eaten. We only waited about 15 - 20 mins. In the meantime, we chatted with the locals, who told us how often they came here just to eat the pies. When we got seated, the first thing we ordered and got started on were the AMAZING pies (chocolate PB for me and custard for my husband). Oh my God, they were out of the world yummy! We got to watch the ladies on the grill as they made the food. My husband ordered he Swiss steak and I had the double hamburger with all the fixings. The food is great but so are the people who work here --they are just so friendly, have worked here for years and truly care. You don't see this anymore. If I lived here, I would come here once a week to chitchat with them and eat PIE!! Make sure you come here. This place is a gem and has been here since 1948.

Damn near a hit. if they could just get the kitchen together regarding temperature and consistency. They would be slaying. Let's talk about what is good... The environment. It just feels like a place you want to sit down and eat a rack of ribs. It's clean, modern, and inviting. It is cool to see what they have done with the old black pearl. Our waitress was excellent! She was fast, attentive, and warm. I can't speak enough about the service. From the moment we sat down until the moment we left, we were truly waited on. We had drinks, we had our food extremely fast, and even when there was an issue with our meal, the manager came right over. (I didn't ask, the waitress brought her over when she noticed our untouched ribs and potato) If our food had been as warm as our staff, they would probably be sitting on closer to five stars Let's talk about the gumbo. The flavor was great! However, the rice inside of it was severely undercooked. It was crunchy in places. Some of it was cooked, however, there were multiple clumps of uncooked (I can't even call it undercooked) rice. And it wasn't hot. My husband can eat piping hot food, I am talking about tea right out of the kettle... But I am not so fortunate. I started to blow on the soup and he laughed at me and said it wouldn't be necessary. To be fair, it was his gumbo, but he was right. It wasn't hot. It was barely a notch above warm, which makes me concerned about things like foodborne illness. But because the sausage, the chicken, and the roux were so damn good. I ate around it and decided to risk it. Next out, the ribs and brisket combo and my husband's wings. The wings were great. Zero notes except they flew off the bone into my husband's mouth faster than I could even get to my food. The brisket wasn't hot, but I don't expect it to be after it's rested so I will give that a free pass. My baked potato couldn't melt the butter. I also gave that a free pass since I planned on taking it home. But when I dug into my ribs, they were cold. And I don't mean warm, I mean cold. The surface was warm but by the bone was like they were out of the refrigerator. They had a decent flavor, but when ribs are that cold, they are a bit tough. Our waitress brought out a fresh rack, but by then I had already eaten my way through half of my husband soup, part of his meal, and my brisket so I ate one knuckle and took the rest home. I would come back for the atmosphere, the wait staff, and the flavor... But I hope execution gets cleaned up because I probably wouldn't come back a third time if I had a similar experience. I love eating local, and I hope they have a better run than the black pearl. The portions are generous, the pricing is more than fair. They do a lot of daily and happy hour as well as late night specials. Also, when I go to a barbecue spot, I want a bread option. I know this is me being a spoiled carb princess... But nothing sets me up for a good meal like some cornbread or dinner rolls. Lastly, I hope they end up bottling and selling some of their sauces locally. Their Carolina mustard base barbecue was stellar and the hot barbecue just as good.
