    Thanksgiving menu
    Dale L.

We went for thanksgiving dinner. It was buffet style with a large assortment of different dishes. Turkey, prime rib, Swedish meatballs, beef burgundy, tons of sides, salads and desserts. For the holiday they seat you in the banquet room. I appreciated the fact they leave you enough room to maneuver your way through the tables to get to the buffet. Totally worth the $34.99 not to have to prepare food or clean up. My only suggestion would maybe be a few more toppings for your salad and a few more salad dressings, but that's only because I love salad.

Cafeteria food with no flavor. Best way to describe the food. We went for Easter which was a buffet so I believe we got a good selection of their food here. Breakfast is probably made to order so may be why it gets better reviews. I posted a pic of the Easter buffet offerings so you have an idea. The only hot food that was replenished during our hour n half visit was the fried fish which was like fried fish strips. Mac n cheese was made with rigatoni noodles. Everything seriously just needed to be seasoned and I used the salt n pepper liberally. Desserts were obviously frozen stuff. Drinks included were koolade(no sugar) and watered down lemonade. Table service was basically for water and alcoholic drinks. No chardonnay and no pinot grigio. 20% gratuity added for 2 folks. Not advertised anywhere. So $80 for food that seriously reminded me of high school again. Had to apologize to my sweetie pie. We went for pizza at Village Idiot

Restaurants clean, atmosphere relaxing, wait stuff awesome, food was delicious tonight we had the beef stroganoff highly highly recommend it ! and the bourbon street chicken all the flavors on both platters were delicious!

I had an excellent entree at a reasonable price. I had the stroganoff for my first meal here and was delighted. They serve a more than generous portion and the dish was flavorful. The vegetables were cooked fully and seasoned precisely. The lobster bisque was good but nothing worth any awards. I give the bartender Karen 5 stars alone... Superb customer service. She was very efficient and paid attention to details. I'll be trying a steak next time or possibly one of the gourmet burgers. I'll dine here again.

It's beautiful inside, the servers and staff are attentive and helpful, and the food is always very good. For example, my client ordered the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo and the shrimp were carefully placed to be standing up in a circle which was so much more attractive than if they were simply laying in the pasta and sauce. I also appreciate the convenient location off of 475 and the large parking lot.

I was disappointed in the lack of European wines but found an Italian on the last bottle list. It was $150 but I was desperate. Unfortunately, our server didn't come back for 15 min to take our order and then when she finally delivered it, she broke the cork because she didn't screw down far enough. Alcohol is a big money maker yet we sat for 40 minutes before it was poured. The food was the main problem. Not only a super slow kitchen but it was then served refrigerator cold. Everything. Fish, steak, green beans, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, even the plate was frigid. So we sent it back and instead of preparing a new plate, they tried to just warm it and brought it back cold..again. This was a $75 plate of food. At this point, we were concerned about food safety and said to just forget it. Luckily we had bread with our wine but they never offered anything else other than not charging us for the food which we didn't even touch. This was two hours after our arrival so went home hungry after paying for the wine. To top it off, there was a loud, raging fight in the bar area that we heard across the restaurant so we waited until they had left, concerned about a physical altercation. They seated us right next to a table of 16 with 12 of them being kids under 10 living their best life. Singing, dancing, banging. My Sis took one look at my face and said look they are getting ready to leave. I was about to either leave or request another table like asap. Superman server to the rescue. I cant remember his name but he was handling that party and us. Got me a cold beer pronto and you would have thought we were his only table. So other than having to darn near yell to hear each other across the table while the party wrapped up and one of the hellions actually tapping on our table on the way out (what the heck parents?). Things were looking up. Lunch has some cheaper options at a smaller size. I got the yummy spinach dip and parmesan chicken. My sis who hates spinach ate half my appetizer lol. Food came out hot. The server was awesome with great to go containers. Let us sit n chat without any rush. We will be back but Im getting moved next time. Check out the lunch.

They did absolutely nothing wrong, but in the end, our mealnsits above average. The first thing is the food. The portions are not huge, but that's okay at an expensive place. My ribeye was cooked exactly medium rare and was a nice cut of meat. However, it was drowning in butter and was just too salty for the meat to shine through. A good steak, but not great and maybe not even very good. My wife's scallops were very good and came with a great corn relish underneath. The sides must be ordered separately. We got the mashed potatoes and those were absolutely excellent-- probably also too much butter, but that just makes potatoes better. We got the feta appetizer and that was good, but very thick in our mouths. My wife had the leftovers for lunch and found it better as it's own meal The service was simply great. They knew we wouldn't finish the feta and had it boxed and bagged with extra toast before we were done with our entrees. Nice, attentive, detailed. We both looked at the cocktails and wines and saw nothing that interested us. We're not big drinkers, but were surprised. Usually an expensive place has something for us. The tables are very large. We were on a date, but we felt too far to have an intimate conversation. My wife skipped a few topics because it felt too public to talk about them. I do not disagree with paying a lot for exceptional food. I came in expecting to drop $200 on dinner. I wanted to wine and dine my lovely wife. But Benchmark was not exceptional. It was above average. And when I'm trying to decide between 3 and 4 stars, feeling as though it's not worth the price makes me drop to 3. It would have been 4 stars at $100 or maybe $150.
