This place has been in my list for dinner. It was a normal Saturday morning and we were in the hunt for a breakfast spot and noticed this spot was open. When we drove to it, we noted that it was attached to a hotel so of course it's open for all meals! The I side of this restaurant was so upscale and modern. It's situated on the Maumee River and that's the background of the restaurant. Amazing views. They have a good size menu with both savory and sweet breakfast options. We ordered the Mushroom Gravy & Biscuits, Breakfast Poutine and a croissant. The good and flavor was simple but delicious. I can't wait to come back here for dinner and cocktails.

We were expecting an elevated experience! I did not see any signage in the lobby area directing one to the restaurant. 3 hotel workers were talking amongst themselves as we entered and left no acknowledgment. The seating areas are lovely and large prior to the restaurant. On approach I see a large counter /bus station....looks like a work station? Seems like that shouldn't be the first thing a customers gaze catches. Nice staff. Very few customers. Sat by back window view. Seating is comfortable. This restaurant looks nice but is cluttery. Asked for straws twice. The wrong meal was sat before me and then taken to another customer. The condiment plate was dirty with coffee from a previous visitor. Now the food! My husband's omelette was very good(and I do not usually like omelettes) hash brown casserole was delicious but under cooked. My food was very disappointing! Everything was so dry.My sausage was shriveled and terribly dry like it was leftovers. The brioche french toast was okay but hardly a sprinkle of powdered sugar. I had been anticipating eating here for sometime now. The cook kept hollering the food was up. It took a bit to get a bill and then it had the tax on it(tax free weekend for dining out in Ohio) so they took forever to fix it! No desire to return! A few other minor issues as well .

Came in for a late dinner catch up, after a disappointing experience at the Registry Bistro. We should've just eaten here since we are also staying at the Renaissance Hotel. Food was superb and service was excellent! Kudos to Connor, super friendly, knowledgeable and highly attentive. Everything we ordered were simply delicious. Super Happy Tummy!

While the service was decent, my food came out slow, was cold and one of the poached eggs on my Eggs Benedict order had blown out before it reached the table... for $19 an order you would hope the food would be delivered hot and in tact....

Three egg omelette and a side of tomatos

I ate here, 2 Morning Center row this week. I had the same meal each morning, a large, three egg omelette and some slices of tomato. I also had a cuppa coffee with my meal and a glass of ice water. The waitresses did a great job and kept my coffee full. My food was cooked to order and didn't take very long, even though they were rather busy.my omelette was very large and filling, and I really enjoyed both omelettes, both days. A very good restaurant, a very good hotel restaurant. I would certainly eat here again, and would certainly try it for lunch or dinner in the near future.

Wow. What a great experience. Starting with the drinks. The waitstaff was so friendly and accommodating. The appetizers that we paired together are amazing. The Duckfat fries with the pork belly- we highly recommend. Entrees: I had the vegan risotto. Tasted so creamy and the mushrooms were amazing addition to the dish. We found out that the chef was on 22 years old and trained in New York. This is a must go to restaurant. I wish I would have tried it sooner.

Beautiful restaurant with exceptional service. I had Ashley as my server and she is so sweet. I appreciated her spot on menu recommendations. Loved the flavors of the frenched chicken! I'm usually weary of hotel restaurants but really glad I picked the spot for dinner. I would absolutely come back and order the same thing! My cocktail was delightful! Beautifully presented and refreshing. Also loved the mashed potatoes. There's a good range of options on the menu as well and I thought this was reasonably priced.

    Lattes for breakfast

My sister and I stayed in the hotel last night so we came down to Bring House for brunch this morning. The restaurant was very beautiful, great lighting, and comfy booths. We ordered lattes, and they were not the best I have had but fine. I ordered the southern boy delight which was sausage gravy over biscuits with fried egg and a side of breakfast potatoes. It was delicious. My sister ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of the a la carte biscuits and gravy. There was some confusion because the paper menu and online menu listed the side as $3 but on the bill they were $7, so that was a little misleading. The size was the same as my biscuits and gravy so it is a better deal to order that, rather than paying $7 for breakfast potatoes since that is the main difference between the two. Our waiter was nice, and overall we enjoyed our meal and hotel experience!

We got spoiled tonight. Special cocktails and deserts galore! Our staff member was kind and courteous, even made some great suggestions. The views from this restaurant are amazing. You can see down to the water and get to watch the world go by as well.

    Brunch menu.

Had a great brunch at Brim House. The menu wasn't on their website or anywhere we could find so we went into the meal not knowing what to expect, but were happy to see the options available. I had the Pesto Di Pistachio pasta and it was really full of flavor. I didn't want to stop eating it. The peach and burrata salad was supposed to have grilled peaches but they were still cold and there was no sign of them being grilled before hitting the plate. However, it still was very tasty with the seeds, salt and honey drizzled over top. My husband had the cinnamon roll pancakes, which I didn't get a picture of because he devoured it in like five seconds, lol. He really liked his meal, but was super full because the pancakes were very big. I definitely will be going back to try a few other items on the menu I had my eye on and to take advantage of the Bloody Mary bar.

Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...

Okay guys seriously!! There's a few poor reviews on here and I do try to keep an open mind. Well…read more.. now you have a Yelp Elite telling you to STAY AWAY!! At least until they have some serious changes!! First off it is WAY overpriced! My husband had the teriyaki steak for $18!! As you can see by the photo, this included a small handful of extremely overcooked bits of beef. I ordered a chicken dish just to be told they were out of chicken. They were also out of the 8oz steak special. I got the firecracker sushi roll which was supposed to have jalapeño. Not sure where that went. Before our meal we got the absolute worst wilted (not intentionally) iceberg and cucumber salad with an awful ginger dressing. It was bitter. Then the miso soup was actually miso broth with green onions and it tasted much more like water then miso. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The services was subpar as well. She never asked us how we liked our food, never checked on us actually. Then we had to sit and overhear the servers talk about their poor tips. Gee I wonder why? I have to say the ambiance is pretty perfect actually but it only adds to how disappointing the food is. With such a beautiful building, this location should be a serious hot spot! I will say they appear to be clean. I usually rate on a scale... okay food 1 star, service 1 star, ambiance 1 star because it set me up for disappointment, cleanliness 4 stars. I think it's safe to say, this location gains one star! Points for improvement: if you're going to charge $18 for a steak dish... serve a steak to the customer's desired temp. And if you're going to serve miso soup and a salad make sure it's fresh and well executed. Stop using a microwave and make the food fresh!! Research authentic Asian cuisine and just execute it better. Okay I just left the bathroom. Check the picture. I'm done here.

We also got to talk to a gentlemen (I think his name was Dan) that they call Captain, he was kind enough to pay for my husband's meal since he was in uniform. We'll definitely go back. We haven't been here since my birthday 4 or 5 years ago. Anyway, the ambiance is great. It's not changed since the 80's and it really has that small, intimate, elegant feel that can really make a place special. It's comfortable, clean and very welcoming. Unfortunately, the food can be really hit or miss. When they get the veal piccata right, it's the best in town. That said, sometimes it so tough, it's inedible. When they get really nice, fresh fish, it's amazing. When it's not that great... I guess we all know. Other parts of a great night out are the drinks and the waitstaff. Our waiter (Mr. Ponytail guy) came to our table after a nice, thoughtful delay between arrival and getting settled in. I think he's been there since the place opened so he does know what he's doing. In fact, I've had him in the past and he can do an incredible job (if he wants to). I guess this wasn't the night he wanted to. After going over the specials, none of us ordered a cocktail, which disappointed him. None of us ordered salads or the famous lobster bisque (which we would have if we were asked) and nobody ordered any of the specials. Mr. Ponytail guy made it obvious we were wasting his time and basically chose to neglect us for the rest of the evening. He didn't even bring the entrees out of the kitchen. Another group of folks carried out food out of the kitchen and Mr. ponytail guy did a really lame attempt at serving the plates to us and then briskly walked away. He never came back to check our satisfaction or to see if we wanted anything else. That said, the busboy was ON-IT! My water glass never ran out and there were no lingering dirty plates on the table. Kudos to him! Mr. Ponytail guy could take some lessons in congeniality and graciousness from the busboy. So, I understand that this is a high-end place. the staff really depends on folks ordering drinks, sides and apps, I get it. That said, even with very little effort, Mr. Ponytail guy still made about $10 bucks in tips off of each of us. I guess if serving drinks is so important to this guy, maybe he should look into waiting table at Barbie's Place on Bennet. This seems to be more his caliber. The coup de grace for the evening is the barmaid screwed up my change 3 times. I know, math is hard, but when the bill comes to $60.06 and you give $80.00 in cash, the change should be $19.94. She gave me back $4.06. I informed Mr. Ponytail guy of the error and he brought me another $5.00 bill. Again, math is hard. He also said he never checked the amount of money I gave him to cover my check, so he didn't know what was going on. Way to be a steward of your customer, Mr. Ponytail guy... After being made to feel like totally inadequate plebes that should have supped at the coney island next door, I really doubt we'll ever go back. I do ask Georgio to send Mr. Ponytail guy to congeniality school so he can learn the disappointments of life and how some things just don't go your way. That or let him spend some time washing dishes. Remember, Mr. ponytail guy, you decided to take on the task of waiting tables, and there's absolutely no shame in this. Lord knows, I've done a lot worse for a lot less. Just remember that some of your customers may not have big appetites, consume alcohol, eat fish or have a willingness to be treated like inconvenient morons just because you decided to judge them for not being who you wanted them to be. There are a lot of other high-end places much closer to home that would LOVE to get our money... Oh, 2 stars because the food was OK.
