My boyfriend & I went here for date night & we didn't even stay to play any games. The food was awful. For an appetizer we ordered the spinach dip. It really just tasted like creamed spinach with nearly burnt mozzarella on top & the chips were super greasy at the bottom. We ordered wings thinking "how could anyone possibly screw up wings?? it'll be fine..." it in fact was not fine. Something other than the crappy honey sriracha sauce was really off about the wings. Frozen maybe? We didnt finish the wings. The unseasoned sweet potato fries that they upcharged $4.99 for were underwhelming. Just an all around bad time on the food front. Service was just okay. Our server was chill but took a while because she was taking care of a couple big parties. The food runner seemed like she didn't want to be there. I was given a gift card for Dave & Buster's, and figured my fiance and I could make it into a date night. Wasn't super impressed by one of the ladies at the front when I came in; I told her that I wanted to use the gift card to get a game card and to put tickets on it, and for whatever reason she didn't understand what I was asking, and then she continued to ask me the same question several times and acted like I was stupid. It was the dumbest interaction I've ever had with a person... We eventually got it figured out, and my fiance and I went to play some games. It was fun, but there wasn't a huge variety, and they seemed to be mostly the same as they were the last time I came here, which was YEARS ago. We decided to grab a bite to eat after playing, and our server was very nice, so we definitely enjoyed that part. This is the worst video arcade my brother and I have ever been to. I have never set foot inside a Dave & Buster's anywhere, opting to go to other arcades in the past. I decided while on my Toledo trip to finally check one out. I got my brother to tag along. We regretted it. I will admit that the place is big, and it's full of games. Unfortunately, Most of these games suck. Sure Space Invaders is fun, so is Rampage... but all the others... geez. Arcades should games that test skill, not random happenstance or how much credits you throw into the machine! Case in point on the random, in the Injustice game, one character (battle of 3) randomly would be able to do a one move KO on one of the other opposing characters... how... why? i do not understand?!?!? We played multiple games to see if this would keep happening it did. Also, you're supposed to get a card of a superhero or villain every-time you play, didn't happen all the time. Not all of the machines give out tickets/points... so don't expect to get much when u go turn them in for prizes. I played for almost two hours and got a squishy stress game controller the size of three fingers. Thats not to say I wasn't upset to begin with. You're supposed to get some free plays when you first sign up. My brother and I never got them. I feel it just wasn't worth my time and money. read more

I ordered delivery so I did give some leeway on the cold fries because the flavor was there and I have an air fryer. Actually all of the food was Luke warm temperatures, but again, all finger foods and my air fryer works. But no one wanted the peperoni flatbread because it arrived all slid to 1 corner. If your looking for something fun to do in Toledo here's a place where everyone can have a good time. There are a variety of games, and they change them out & add new ones all the time. My son and nephew love it here. They have a blast being able to play and pick out prizes at the end. It can however become a little pricey, on average I spend about $70 per kid, And that roughly gives them a little over an hour of playtime. (There are less pricey options too!) I think their smiles mean everything so its totally worth it . * However if you're really looking for a deal, Wednesday's are half off on games! Have fun!! read more

The reviews on this establishment must be outdated because what I've read below in no way describes the experience I had on my 21st. For starters this establishment is under fantastic management - AKA Jake. We walked in and were immediately welcomed by the nice lady behind the register. She was busy with another patron but she still made a point to welcome us - wonderful! Then Jake - the manager - opened up the other register and helped us. He was exceedingly kind and explained how everything works to a first timer. He took the time to help us setup the application, gave us some pointers and advice, and then went out of his way to make my 21st birthday special. Even though D & B has no "official" birthday promotion Jake went above and beyond to help me enjoy my big day. I'm so thankful to Jake for everything he did and would recommend this establishment to anyone just based on my interactions with him bud wait there's more. After interacting with Jake and figuring out how to start we made our way to the bar. It's my 21st time to get my first ever drink. The drink was amazing and every drink after it was just as great. Vicky or Vickie - sorry if I spelled it wrong I was drinking so you can't blame me for forgetting - was our bartender and she did a stellar job. I've never been to a bar before but I can tell you she gave me better service than any waiter/hostess I've ever had. She kept my water full and the drinks coming out. On top of that when there was a little delay in getting me another beer she discounted it - made it right - without me having to say a thing. The sports bare experience was amazing and I'd come back for a drink anytime I'm in this area! Oh you thought that was all? No - the games here are a blast. Think of your classic arcade and then times it by 100. As someone who spent most of his childhood in an arcade I can tell you this place lives up to the hype. There are so many games and experiences that I think anyone could find something they can enjoy. Hell - I think I could drag my Grandpa here and he'd have a blast playing some retro pac-man or space invaders. D&B of Toledo should be a template for other locations. They have a great team and run the establishment like clockwork. Management is active and walks around checking on people. Bartender is kind and cares about patrons having a good time. The crappy food reviews had me not expecting too much! I kept my expectations nice and low, and then I was PLEASANTLY surprised. First of all this place has GREAT happy hour specials from 4-7 during the week. 5$ appetizers (including their pretzels and cheese)!!! I had a 5$ nice and strong not too sweet 150 calorie mixed drink... can't beat that! They also have an all you can eat wing night and several play and eat weekday specials. We ordered ribs and slider combo to split (since we had the aforementioned appetizer) and the ribs were GOOD, not omg hot off Dad's grill great, but for chain non BBQ they were as good as it gets. Our sliders were nice sized, perfectly cooked and came with some decent grilled onions, plenty of cheese and a crunchy pickle, I hate soggy floppy pickles (insert dirty joke here). The fries while not fresh cut did come out crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. Now for the games- everything was clean and in good working order! Everything!!!! Not one game was out of commission and there were not stray cups and napkins and filth per the usual eat and play places. We picked up a groupon and played dirt cheap all afternoon. It was pouring outside so we thought it might be crowded, nope. Now for the missing star. The service was unreasonably slow. Perhaps it's part of their ploy to get you to stay and play longer while you wait a RIDICULOUS amount of time for your food. The timing was also off. We waited as I said quite a long time for our pretzels and drinks. Maybe 3 minutes later out came our meal. I am addicted to D&Bs! I happened to be visiting family in toledo and I had knew that they had opened a D&Bs near the mall since my last visit. I told my husband that we will have to make a stop to check it out. Overall it is your typical D&Bs with many games. They had a wide variety of games to include coin games, basketball, racing, skeeball, etc. We were lucky as all games were working on our visit and it wasn't crowded on a Saturday afternoon. 3.5 stars. I've been to plenty of other D&Bs to know this one is on the smaller side. For starters, this one doesn't have pool tables, which is a huge bummer. I'm always expecting to shoot some pool when I'm at a bar-cade. Last time I was there was for my 8-year-old's classmate birthday party. Kids get to play arcade and parents get to drink and watch some sports. I'm okay with this idea! They have separate back-areas for private events and birthday parties, and were adequately separated from the potential rowdy crowd. Food was okay for the kids -- the usual chicken chunks, pizzas, mozzarella sticks, fries etc. We were offered to dig in, but wife and I opted for the actual bar-food with our slightly over-priced cocktails. Drinks are definitely on the gimmicky side with glow-in-the-dark neon garnishments and such. But my wife is a huge sucker for these gimmicks, and as long as they taste good, I say it's fine. (Happy wife, happy life!) Bartenders and servers were very friendly and nice, but when pressure got to them they became a bit inattentive. It took my bartender a good 15 minutes to come back and grab my credit card for cash-out. And this was after I stood up from the bar, ready to leave, and only with maybe 4 parties at the bar. I didn't play any games this time around, but I'm reading other people complain about some machines/cards not working etc... Look. You're always gonna have busted up machines at arcades. If majority of them work, and they do a decent job of updating to newest games, I'd say there's not much to complain in this department. I went here not expecting much as the reviews for this place are pretty poor. We arrived about 6:00pm on a Saturday night and had two choices seating, the dining room or seat yourself in the bar area. Sitting in the bar area is usually always the best bet. In most cases the servers working are better than the rest of the staff...they have to be to keep up with the constant flow of customers. Additionally, if you order alcoholic beverages (which I do and believe if you're dining out you always should), you'll get them faster. We grabbed a booth in the bar area which was about half full. Our server came over quickly with some menus and took our drink order. The drinks took some time, longer than I think they should've based on where we were in proximity to the bar. But I was easily able to see what was happening, the bartenders were busy making massive amounts of shots that slowed their ability to pour a draft beer. Finally our beers arrived, but they had about two inches of head space...for those of you that don't know what this is, it's the amount of foam on top of a beer. It should be about 3/4 of an inch to an inch...this was strange. I was able to see why though, there was a bartender how would sit the glass down on the grate under the tap and open it fully. So what happens, it foams up with a loose head that is much more than it should be. This only happened once so I wonder if the person pouring was trying to help out and was untrained. The menu is fairly well laid out with a lot of options from sandwiches to full entrees, although the pages stuck together so that's annoying. I opted for the Triple Bacon Burger which I was sure was going to be too large but looked good. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, first my two dining companions meals and then about thirty seconds later my meal....or so I thought. It was the wrong burger, and the food runner even confirmed that the kitchen dupe stated it should've been the Triple Bacon Burger but it was some double burger monstrosity. The server came over, apologized and promised to fix it quickly. About five minutes later my refired burger arrived and looked great. A manager brought it and apologized for the inconvenience. This went in a strange direction as he then asked me "how long did it take to get the new one". I gave him my five minute answer but the more I thought about this the stranger it was. Was this a ploy to use against a customer who was upset at this mix up (which I wasn't)? Was he testing his floor staffs ability to priority an issue or his kitchen team? He should've know the time so this was an arbitrary question in my opinion. He then said he would drop a dessert menu to make up for it. This is always a bad decision...and here's why. The number one job of a staff in a restaurant is to give a diner a great experience. When things happen (which they do), they need to find out what the guest wants to make it better. In some cases a customer wants dessert, in other cases the appropriate thing to do is to comp the item that was wrong, and in others sometimes an apology is all that is required. By automatically only offering dessert the customers concerns are disregarded (usually unintentionally) and the experience is downgraded. We didn't get dessert, I didn't want the sandwich for free...his apology was enough for me but I hope in the future (if you read this management staff) a lesson is learned. Not all guests are as forgiving. When my burger arrived it was good, but at first I thought it was missing something. I swore that I read it should've came with pork belly but it didn't appear to have any. I reread the description and it said: Applewood smoked bacon, peppered bacon pork belly, bacon & smoked Gouda sauce, Manchego and cheddar cheeses, lettuce and house-made aioli. Aha, the old "call bacon pork belly" trick. So, it was exactly as it should've been I simply didn't read it completely. But in reality, bacon is pork belly that's been cured and smoked (remember that you people that buy that uncured crap). Sure some Chef's get creative and do lamb bacon or something like that but in most cases there's no need to list is as they did. Anyways, the burger was cooked as I ordered and was pretty good, big as I expected. The fries were good too...seasoned properly with a salt and pepper blend. Later after cashing out at our table we went to the game side, which isn't my thing so I'm not going to rate them on that. But I opened a tab at the bar...the bartenders were quick, attentive and friendly. Overall, the service was good for our visit. The food was good. There were some cleanliness things that need to be addressed, ketchup and mustard bottles covered in dried condiments and the aforementioned menus. But in the end it was a good experience. read more

This D&B is just OK to me. I have been to several, my favorite being Providence RI. This D&B seems to be a glorified chuck cheese. I feel like most games are either geared toward small kids or are high cost shooter games. Other D&B I have been to had better selections of interactive games and were more fun. Others also kicked kids out WAY before 10PM. I prefer group games but not shooter games that cost 10 credits to play for 3 minutes. Sometimes I just enjoy mind numbing stuff like chip away and ski ball. Wouldn't mind some pinball either. read more

My daughters macaroni and cheese was a knock off of kraft and cold as well. Over priced and under served. Manager came to apologize and we still ended up with a bill minus a few items. Which after receiving it took 20 minutes to get paid. All while the restaurant was not busy or packed it was an average night with an average capNever ever go here. We had a really long wait for our food, but once it came it was fairly decent - pretty much what you expect from a b-dubs type menu. The wings that came on the appetizers sampler were very good! We had some troubles with the games but the staff was friendly and helpful with the problems we had and rectified them immediately and gave us a free turn. Next, their mask policy enforcement leaves much-to-be-desired, as there were many people in the game room either not wearing them properly or none at all. Lastly, my family and I had to leave early due to a fight breaking out between a group of teens in the game room without anyone over 21 with them (which is against their policy). Today was my birthday and my husband surprised me with a get together with my close friends and family (party of 6) at 8pm they were quoted 45 minutes wait time. We did end up buying power cards and playing some games but did not get sat until 9:45pm. We swifly ordered our drinks and appetizers and then it was last call. When our drinks arrived I asked if we could get a second round at that time because it was last call and it took almost 2 hours to get sat. We were told no, unless we "wanted to down what we have." Once we tasted our drinks, the frozen margaritas, ordered with "double the alcohol" tasted as if there was none at all. When the server came back, we brought the issue up and her response was, "It's supposed to taste like there's no alcohol in there" there was no offer to remake it, replace it or offer a different type of beverage. Those drinks did not get consumed. Our food came out and the Ancho Caesar Grilled Chicken Lettuce Wraps has absolutely zero chicken or bacon on them! ‍ when I finally flagged down a server that was not even ours to alert her of the mixup, she tells our server and he comes over and tells us, "Oops, that was the fault of the server who took your order or the kitchen. But the kitchen is closed so we just won't charge you for this." IMAGINE WAITING OVER TWO HOURS FOR FOOD AND THEN YOU DO NOT GET TO EAT BECAUSE THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED?!?!?!?!?!??! At this point the server just stopped coming to our table and started sending other servers to see if we are ok. Once we are getting close to finishing, the manager comes over and apologized for the wait and food mess up. He then asks us and I quote, "is there anything else you want me to apologize for? Maybe because it's raining or it's cold out? Well I am sorry for that too." At this point I am fuming. The server comes and drops off our checks-- $13 for each margarita that did not get touched. At this point, I didn't even want to have birthday dessert there because this experience was so bad. Literally the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant in entire 31 years.
