I came here to see a comedian that I found on Tiktok last night and this place is actually pretty nice. It's in the town center at Levis commons which is a nicer outdoor mall located in Toledo. It's buried in the back of the complex near a morgan stanley place and a hotel. Not hard to find if you have an idea of where you're going. Walking in, you have to walk up a flight of stairs and I'm not sure of they have an elevator or not. The main area where you hang out in is a bar and an arcade. It has a bar area with a decent amount of seating. When the doors open, you can walk into the stage area which is actually pretty nice. There is a 2 item minimum to purchase when here. The foods decently priced, but the alcohol is not. I'm not so much of a drinker so that was fine. They also add an automatic 18% gratuity to each bill, fyi. You can pay cash or card, so that's a bonus. I did have two issues when I was here, and the staff handled it wonderfully. The first was they sat me at a table where it was hard for me to see the stage, and I can't say I was a fan. After debating it for a while, I asked the hostess if I could be re-seated at a different location since I wasn't thrilled about it. They were kind enough to put me at a different table which really made a difference. The second issue was after I ordered my required food, the Sprite I ordered tasted funny. I spoke to the waitress and informed her of this and she brought out a new Sprite from a different machine. This one was much better so that helped out as well. Speaking of food, I went with the artichoke and spinach dip with chips, which was actually pretty good. Larger serving size and not half bad. They had what seemed like plenty of servers here, so people were getting their food and drinks in a timely fashion. The show ran on time, and they also have a security guard here in case anyone gets rowdy. Who wants a rowdy heckler? Not me! I really enjoyed my time here and would return in the future for other events. read more

Great place for stand up comedy AND food. The arcade and bar were very clean and inviting. Seating is much better than most comedy venues I have experienced (ex: Ridleys Comedy Castle, Andiamo). Service was great and prompt. Ordered the Cheese Curds For appetizer which were very good with a decent marinara For dipping. For dinner ordered the Blackened Salmon. Huge portion of fish which had a good flavor cooked perfectly. The green beans and mash potatoes that came with dish were above average. Def recommend this place for night out. read more

It's a comedy club! The best thing about it is the comedy! The food was good the salmon was my favorite of all the dishes. I didn't try the artichoke dip, I purchased for my brother who said it was good just a little thick. The service was great. We were seated with no issue and served well even though they were busy. The cuddles on the beach was a delicious and refreshing mocktail. It's an intimate setting, therefore you will be able see the show regardless of where you are seated. read more

Besides the funnybone being one of the more entertaining spots in the area. From what I've experienced in my last few visits, is they they truly try to create the best experience for you. They accommodate when and how they are able to and service is always efficient and friendly. Not all the seating at this location is ideal but it's not the biggest deal and it won't prevent you from enjoying the show. This show there were some technical difficulties as the opener was performing-it would be great if they could test and work out the technical issues before the start of the show so that we can enjoy ourselves and not feel unnecessary awkwardness! The food was great! It always comes in a timely manner so that you can enjoy both your food and then enjoy the show. This was my first time trying fried mushrooms and I was not disappointed. The wings were cooked perfectly. They aren't anything unique but they are solid! Which can be hard to come by sometimes! The drinks were fine. We showed up first people in the line and were given arguably one of the worst seats, very displeased with the usher at the door the way she pointed us to our seats like we're cattlle, she is very rude and the whole seating method is games and depends on who you know in there, it was very obvious. Otherwise, the show was amazing, the waitresses were very courteous, friendly and polite, they kept checking on us and made sure we had a good time. Two ways to access the place either by elevator or walk around the building to use the stairs. Show up early to your show it is harder to find parking in levis commons during peak times and weekends as there are a lot of restaurants and activities in the area. read more

OK. So in picky giving 5 stars. We showed up about 10 minutes before the show. Recommend an hour before. I actually had to call to get them to release a 2 seat table. They don't do tickets except online and I was like 3 hrs before so Im late Never heard of the comedian so we really just coming to get a decent laugh. His intro comedian was not funny. The servers of course are trying to get ur order in before and when there is a break in the show so rushed . This is why don't like these spots. U have like an hour to eat n drink before they cash u out Its tight. We were seated at 4 person table which may or may not face u towards the show. That's why they lose a star. Who is going to a comedy show with ur back to the show? Listen that spinach dip is the best I ever had. My baby doesn't like being rushed so that was it. While I was in Toledo, OH, i went to the Toledo Funny Bone to see Emma Willmann. She was absolutely fantastic. I was laughing in stitches. Her warm up act, forgot his name unfortunately, was also very funny. The staff is very attentive. They hustle to get your drink orders. I cannot say anything about the food, as I did not order any. I saw other tables order and did notice they were satisfied with their orders. I will say, the place got really packed. Not a lot of room in the place, and I felt a little claustrophobic in there. Thats really my only complaint about the venue. One great thing about the Toledo Funny Bone, it shares its space with an arcade bar called the Draftcade. I am a child at heart, it was great to immediately leave a comedy show and be able to play in a video arcade and have a good drink as well. The arcade is full of tons of games including Super Mario Bros, Rampage, X-men, and others including quite a few pinball machines! It's also surrounded by restaurants, so you could make it a fun night out! That said, I feel like I need to address the crowd that attended the event. I have never been in a crowd so rude in any comedy club in my life. I have attended comedy shows throughout the US, and even on several cruise ships. Every once in a while, you have a heckler. We had several, and one half of the room which was completely ignoring the comic and having loud conversations. One heckler in particular, was drunk off his butt and routinely interrupting. They should have been warned and kicked out if they did not change their behavior. A comedian can and should be expected to adapt to the occasional heckler, but you cannot expect them to deal with a legion of them. It's not fair to the performer, nor the other patrons who paid good money to see a show and have a good time. It was shocking to see how these people acted in a midwestern town like Toledo! I always have a good time when I come here. Recently I think I got sick from maybe the sauce with the onion rings? It was good though! I did get the wedge salad again, though this time it wasn't as full of toppings as the first time. I will get a large wedge salad next time, maybe it'll be full! Seating is limited, be sure to get your tickets online! It is a comedy club so yes, it's a small intimate venue. It's still very nice and fun though. There's also an arcade here as well. We went here last Saturday evening to see Godfrey. They pack you in like sardines. We were so close to the people next to and behind us, we couldn't move. As far as the comedian that night (Godfrey), well he sucked! He heckled a person in the audience and went on and on with her. It was not funny, it was RUDE!!! 4 mediocre drinks with tip was $50.00. 100% not worth the money. We will never go back to this place. read more

My husband and I made it back to Funny Bone twice this year and both times were a lot of fun. We really like that the two item minimum per person includes both food and drinks because we are not heavy drinkers. On our most recent trip, we ordered boneless chicken wings plain with their blueberry habanero sauce on the side and a large basket of fries to share. The fries came out unsalted/unseasoned, which we liked. The boneless chicken wings were deliciously crispy. The blueberry sauce was interesting, but not our favorite. We went to see Cindy Kaza. Everything was very good. We ordered drinks but no food. It was said online that the doors open at a certain time and that seating up front was given first come first serve. This is not true however. People were already seated even though we got there about 15 min before door open time. My fiance and I are big Cindy Kaza fans and wanted to be as close as possible so it was disappointing to be seated further back when closer seats were available. The seats we had were comfortable though and we did have a good view. I would recommend this venue and go again but I'd call and ask about the seating policy ahead of time if it's important to you. read more

We drove down from Detroit to see a show. Due to Covid restrictions still in place in MI, there were many of us. The show itself was good (Lavell Crawford). There was something off-putting however, about the way they had us lined up like cattle waiting before they opened doors for the later show. Maybe notify us that tables are already reserved (it was not 1st come 1st served which is what many thought, hence lining up early), and suggesting we have a seat at the bar or in the gaming area. I took in a show at the Funny Bone comedy club in Perrysberg OH. It was located in what appeared to be a newly built up area near many popular retail stores and eateries. The club was situated behind double doors in the rear of a nice, clean restaurant with a bar. There was a great selection of drinks and a full service dinner menu. I ordered the blackened grill catfish, rice and fresh veggies. It was perfectly seasoned and all delicious. The opening act and the headliner, John Morgan, had us laughing out loud throughout their entire sets. As a Metro Detroiter I must say this was a nice quick weekend getaway spot with great food, drinks and fun, that's only about an hour and 20 minutes away. No temp taking, most servers wore no face covering, the BS about 2 and 4 tops and any distancing were clearly a lie to bring in as many as they can seat. The people who run the door and seating are rude and disrespectful! They stuff you in there s as no talk to you like you're a child which is unacceptable and unnecessary. The 7pm DeRay show, whoever was there are the absolute worst people EVER! I doubt if I ever go back because of this experience. I'm sure losing my business will not matter and they'll continue being rude and dismissive but I'll be sure to tell everyone I know of my experience. This place has really changed and not for the better. It used to be a somewhat pleasant experience going there but the last few times this year of 2023 has been nothing short of horrific! Went to see the Tennessee Kid, Nate Bargatze at the Toledo Funny Bone and we had a BLAST! Whole complex where Funny Bone is located has multiple shops and restaurants and lots of parking - easy in, easy out. The club was clean and large enough to hold lots of tables without feeling like everyone else was right on top of you. We didn't eat here (went to dinner beforehand), but ordered a number of drinks and the service was prompt and price was what you'd expect from a club. Show was great, experience was wonderful, would certainly consider coming back to the Toledo Funny Bone again. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHADY BUSINESS! We traveled from Michigan to celebrate my husband's birthday. I paid extra for a private 2-person table to see D.L. Hughley on 4/17/22. Upon arrival, our first reaction was how packed and close together the seating was. Then, the employee led us to a 4-person table. I immediately informed him that I paid for extra for a 2-person table. His snarky response was, "This is all we have." Again, I reiterated that I paid for a 2-person table and I was not going to sit at the 4-person table. We then went back to the box office and requested a refund. I will NEVER patronize this comedy club again and will spread the word to all my family and friends to beware! Note: I did receive a refund on my credit card 3 days later. read more

So it may come as a surprise to you or not, but apparently The Funny Bone is not just a comedy club. There is actually a large area dedicated to its restaurant and bar, which is in the same building yet apart from the comedy room. You can go to eat & drink before or after the stand-up, or you can just go to one without the other. I always thought it was a comedy club with maybe a bar at best. To make it even more secluded and sort of not welcoming from a dining perspective, their entrance is literally just a front desk lobby. You have to take the steep stairs (for a drunk... Which is concerning to consider since there is a bar) or an elevator up to the large second floor. Once you actually find the real establishment, you can be seated by the hostess and begin your meal... Or you may also walk to the back near the restrooms to enter the comedy space.  Everything seems to have a Mardi Gras creole vibe to it, as the aesthetic is festive and colorful, while the dishes are varying in spice and herbs. I had the smoked Catfish and also nibbled from my table mates' respective buttermilk chicken and smoked salmon. Put of the three, I would have to say the chicken was the winner, with it being very large, juicy, tasteful, and pure white meat. The breading was very good, crispy to my liking, but not too crunchy. It's not to the level of Cracker Barrel's Sunday chicken, but it is a worthy placeholder until Sunday comes. The fish were both good, but I just felt like the catfish was small for the $15 point price, with not too much flavor. The salmon was very good, chunky and flavourful, with a nice watermelon rub. As sides, I really recommend the fresh cut fries if you're a fan, because the portions were enormous. The rice pilaf is more of a regular white rice style with no olive oil. So if you wanted it to be authentic pilaf or more creole, it won't be. But personally, I liked it better than most pilaf choices I have tasted. Overall, the price marks are in the $15-20 range, with decently sized portions and all coming out fast and hot. It is not too spicy, so if if you just like a little kick, it'll do fine.  I did not have any alcoholic libations this visit, but they do have a full bar with a variety of mixtures and fish bowl style drinks. Of course, they also have the basic refillable drinks, which did not get refilled my entire visit. That brings us to the service, which was adequate. I wasn't expecting much as I didn't even know it had a restaurant, but while they waitress was kind, she seemed to be very illusive. She came and took our orders and made sure our meals were fine, but other than that, she would sporadically come to take dishes out of the way. There was little connection or discussion, which to some may seem normal, but I like having a chuckle or two and forming a minor bond. Also, I was not asked for a refill, once. Another note that is not on the waitress, but a kitchen worker and manager on the floor. Please DO NOT bring your garbage bin through the middle of the restaurant dining floor?! What the hell is that, it's unsanitary and very unpleasing to view as you're dining or having a date. I don't care if you have to go the long way, but it is common decency to not roll your garbage in front of your guests as they receive their food and drinks. As for the Manager, he was viewing this the entire time, and probably asked for it to be done, which is just not something up to my code.  Other than that, I think it's worth a visit, even if you're not coming for the Thursday-Sunday comedy gigs. The food is better than you would expect, and I've heard that everybody loves the comedians. The service is okay, not the best, but the food is above what I was thinking it'd be. It's in the medium price range, so I wouldn't say it's a strong recommendation. But I can see myself visiting again perhaps when there is a gig I'm interested in. In comparison to its neighbors, Benchmark, Basil Pizza, and Nagoya, it certainly does not place at the top... And perhaps it could be because it is aimed more at the shows than the dining.  BONUS FEATURES: - No wifi (unless you've been to Benchmark and saved theirs)  - Pokémon Go gym nearby  - Dirty restrooms (and the woman's has large open windows that cane be peered in from the exterior or adjacent hotel rooms)  - Slow service read more

Love the food and the comedy shows. We stay next at door the Hilton (Levi Commons). They have excellent fried shrimp, gumbo and red beans & rice. The shrimp are nice and clean which is hard to find these days. If you get a chance stay for a comedy show. We are watching Damon Williams tonight...hoping it's going to be great. My experience at the Funny Bone in Perrysburg was beyond disappointing. When my cousin and I arrived we were eager to try the menu. Everything was described so beautifully on the menu and all sounded so good. First,we ordered an appetizer fried pickles, they came out hot and ready in a matter of minutes, so fast in fact they beat are flatware and appetizer plates to the table, but they were still hot and delicious once we finally got flatware to eat them with. For the entrees I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken. And my cousin ordered the catfish and fries. They both came out quickly and looked absolutely delicious. After tasting the first bite of the catfish my cousin looked at me and said this doesn't taste like catfish and I think it's a little freezer burned, whatever it is. So I tasted it and it was not catfish it didn't have the dense flesh that catfish tends to have it was a loose flaky fish and I suspect it may have been Pollack. Now mind you Pollock is not a bad thing if you ordered Pollock! But if you're expecting catfish Pollock is not a good substitute. So my cousin sent that plate back and ordered the blackened salmon. That arrived a few minutes later and was presented beautifully. After she scraped the relish off the top of it to reveal the salmon which did not appear to be blackened in any way she decided to give it a try. The minute she cut into it it was revealed that it was completely raw in the middle. Just then the host was going by and stopped to ask if everything was okay, so she pointed out that the salmon was raw in the middle and that she was not pleased. He insisted that that is the way the blackened salmon is served. Now, I know from being raised with a well-trained culinary artist, from dating a chef who works in some of the finest restaurants in the Detroit area, and from watching Hell's Kitchen that this is not the way salmon should appear. I understand salmon is a very difficult protein to get right, two seconds too long on the grill and it turns to a dry yucky pink mess. What appeared on our table last night was still cold in the middle. As far as I can tell they took frozen salmon and attempted to flash cook it. The top 1/4 inch was the proper color and the very bottom was the proper color but everything in the middle was wet raw and appeared a little slimy. Now let's talk about my dish the buttermilk smothered chicken was absolutely delicious the presentation was extremely appetizing and the cornbread that it was served on was just the right touch. I however was extremely dismayed when before I could get all the way back home my Southern Fried Chicken decided to come back up. Yes! I threw it up! I spent the reminder of my evening cleaning vomit out of my cousin's car. My meal cost a whopping $47 just for my own chicken and one drink and I paid for our appetizer my cousin bill came to $25 because she sent back the two dishes that she ordered she had one soda and ordered some chicken wings to go for her husband. Because she loves her husband the chicken wings when in the trash as soon as she git home no one is willing to take those types of chances with the man they love. So in short I cannot recommend the funny bone in Perrysburg Ohio. I will not be driving another hour and a half back out to Perrysburg to go there. read more

But on the drive home she was puking up on the side of the highway... smh!!! I took a side of wings for carry out and now afraid to let my husband eat them... ijs! Went there for the first time on Saturday to see Johnny Witherspoon and 2 other comics. They were all very funny and my family and I really enjoyed that part of the comedy club. My son and his friend ordered some drinks and food. The food was not good at all. The drinks were bad as well. I paid almost $13 for a drink that had little to no alcohol in it. My son and his friend were disappointed with their drinks as well. Then gratuity was automatically added to the bills. The server was ok, but I would like to be able to decide what my tip is going to be. I will be back to see more comedy shows, but will definitely not be ordering any more food or drinks. read more

My group drove 2 hours to see Rob Schneider. The show itself was great; however, we had a major issue with management. Upon Rob's appearance on stage, we were all excited and wanted to take a picture for our social media (as MANY others were doing). An angry woman stopped to yell at my table and say "did I not say no? Did you not hear the announcement? I could kick you out". 1) we had arrived late so we heard no announcement. 2) the message could've been conveyed in a much more professional manner. I was very bothered by getting talked down to, so I walked out to address this. I didn't know who to talk to, so I started addressing the problem with an employee standing by the door. A few seconds later, the same woman storms in and once again begins to speak like she's addressing a child and saying things like "you should be talking to ME! I'm the manager. I could've kicked you out. Everybody knows the rules. I don't need no sign. People who get to take pictures paid 90 more dollars than you"... she didn't once let me complete a sentence. Cut me off, spoke over me, kept raising her voice, and when I matched her voice level and asked her why are you yelling? She said "oh you haven't heard me yell, this isn't me yelling". Not sure if she had an issue w/me personally? Anger issues? Power trip? Whatever it is, this is not the management you want running your place. I wonder if she bullies and belittles the other employees as well. read more

Been hearing about this place for a minute and finally got to come. Nice size place (about 150-200 for the showroom and a big bar area, although the showroom you are kind of packed into) The show we came for that night was excellent and this place does get big name comedians on the regular. The service was ok but slow at the same time (also took forever to get our food, which was no good). Drinks very good but high here ($8 for short beer and $12-$15 for drinks and no frozen machine on this night). They do start on time and parking can get tough here (however this place is located in a nice overall entertainment complex). I did eat here and had the wings with blueberry Haberno and fries (wings were actually very good and fries were good, it was $15 for 8 wing dings though) and I also tried there spinach and artichoke dip (also very good). Overall a nice place (service could of been better) and I would come back again read more
