I want to express my complete disappointment and frustration with our experience at your Secor Road location today. We joined the waitlist at approximately 4:02 p.m. and arrived at the restaurant around 4:30 p.m. When we checked in, the original hostess acknowledged that the quoted wait time was around an hour and 25 minutes, but specifically told us that the restaurant was "moving much faster than expected" and that we would "be seated by 5:00 p.m. at the most." Based on that assurance, we stayed and waited patiently. At approximately 5:05 p.m., we checked again and were told it would be another 20 minutes. Then, at approximately 5:32 p.m., after already waiting well beyond the promised seating time, we checked yet again and were suddenly told the wait had increased to another 35 minutes. That is completely unacceptable. We had children with us. My wife was understandably upset, and we stood outside for well over an hour receiving inconsistent and misleading information the entire time. Had we been given honest expectations from the beginning, we could have made other arrangements instead of wasting our evening standing outside with our family. What is even more remarkable is that we finally received a text message at 6:22 p.m. telling us our table was ready. That was literally an hour and a half after the hostess assured us we would be seated by 5:00 p.m. upon our arrival. The issue is not simply that there was a wait -- restaurants get busy. The issue was the repeated inaccurate updates and assurances that turned out to be completely false. After all of this, we ultimately had no choice but to leave without ever being seated. This experience was extremely frustrating and left a very poor impression of your restaurant and its management of reservations and wait times. Because of this experience, we will not be returning to this location. read more

To kill some time while a vehicle was being serviced, we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse to get a quick bite and to kill some time. We were very fortunate to have a server we've had before, Zachery. He is very good at what he does and very efficient. He automatically refilled our drinks without asking, checked in with us a couple times to see if there was anything we needed. He is also very knowledgeable about the menu and good at making suggestions. Tonight we ordered the Filet Medallions Salad, and the Portobello Mushroom Chicken. The salad looked delish, the portobello chicken was perfectly prepared and quite moist/nicely seasoned. This particular location is usually busy. I have the app, so we usually join the wait list on our way to the restaurant, and we are usually seated within a matter of minutes. On our way out, I asked to speak to a manager. Once he arrived, he looked at me like - oh boy here we go... I told him that I hoped they hired more servers like Zachary's as we felt his service was impeccable. I was torn between 3 or 4 stars. Overall the experience was fine so that was the deciding factor. Waitress was great and I wish I could remember her name. Food came I out in a reasonable time. Drinks were always refilled. We didn't need to ask for much if for anything at all. Plenty of bread refills. The peanuts now come bagged which I found much more sanitary than everyone tom, dick and Harry fiddling thru the peanuts with their germs. Maybe some people hate it but I personally love and appreciate this change. Not sure how long it's been this way but I don't frequent Texas Roadhouse so it was new to me. Why did I consider 3 stars? Well, they have a "company policy" which states you can't be seated unless your entire party is present. We were meeting my son and his Dad for lunch. We arrived first and they wouldn't seat us until they got there. It was noon. Not busy at all. Plenty of staff and open tables. Seemed incredibly ridiculous. What was more ridiculous is the older couple that came in after us. The man was NOT happy about it and remarked he could be "having a beer right now." My husband and I understood and agreed because, yeah we could've at least been ordering drinks and snacking on peanuts and bread. Then the man said "I'm glad I left my gun in the car" and that was a bit too much for us. I've never heard of this policy and when I've told family/friends about this, they haven't heard of it either. Is it a location only thing? I dined at this restaurant on 11/17/24. The wait was not bad and the restaurant was busy. I ordered chicken critters, chili and macaroni and cheese. The chili came out first and I looked the spice and the flavor, but it was way too salty. The waitress was able to exchange it for another side which was fine. The critters were hot and fresh. The serving was generous and I enjoyed the flavor and texture. My dining partner's steak was slightly overcooked but acceptable, however it didn't come with the shrimp he ordered on the side. The waitress brought them out a few minutes later but they were a bit overdone. My real issue came with paying the bill. I used the Ziosk to pay by credit card and noticed the suggested tips by percentage were grossly off in calculation by several dollars. When I alerted a manager to the issue, she said it was a third party device out of their control. I began snapping pictures of the miscalculations and then she told me "Pictures aren't necessary." That made me very suspicious because this restaurant serves alcohol and customers may not be paying attention to the calculations. Overall, my concern with the financial integrity of this restaurant will make my unlikely to return, although the chicken fingers are quite good. read more

Tried to place a pick up order online and the options did not provide all of the items available. Got placed on hold and I waited to be directed to the right person. Someone answered after a 10min wait only to be placed on hold again. Waited 21 mins before I said to heck with this place. Called back and it was a repeat process. Nobody there appears to know how to transfer to the right person. So can't grade the food but their service clearly sucks. If you don't know what you are doing ask someone....duh read more

Always been a big Texas Roadhouse fan but this one seems to miss the mark. Steak fell a little flat to me. Could have been a lot better. Staff was nice. Place is always busy. No waiting area anymore. Actually really amazing, good was great, cheese fries were the best, and the steak was peak steak. The theme of the restaurant was cool, it was all about the Wild West and horses. Service was a bit slow but not too slow to keep you eating for like an hour. Overall I recommend this place! read more

I have been a regular customer in this restaurant for a long time. But had a bad experience when my family dined again yesterday. Our ribeye was undercooked and t-bone ribeye was overcooked. Recooked ribeye was cooked too much and replaced t-bone was ok. The worst part was not the food. It was their new manager who came and did not say anything. Everything in his face was saying we were troublesome. Texas roadhouse used to have an excelkent customer service. Occasionally when this happened, their manager was kind and nice. In addition, everything has become so expensivehere. A small kid milk costed $3.99. A kid small lemonade was $4.69 now. They used to have price advantage compared to other steakhouse like longhorn. Well, the service was lackluster. We waited forever for our salads and chili to come out before our meal. The chili meat was fatty and not good. When the main courses came out they were ok.. I have eaten here before and the one thing that drives me crazy is consistency of the food. You never know if it will be good or not. The steaks were ok.. the sweet potatoes were very good.. we just waited too long for our food.. the excuse was it takes longer to cook steaks... ummm people that arrive after us order steaks and got them before ours. The venue is situated in a small town in OH. After the graduation ceremony. We decided to have lunch here, all 13 of us. The venue could not accommodate for us to sit together so we took what they could offer eventhough, in my opinion, a waitstaff could have been assigned to a particular area that would have allowed all my party to sit together (it's been doin here in the Texas locations). After we got over that, I will say the food was good and came out in a timely manner. Also a plus, noone ever went without a refill or napkins. The bread was warm and kept coming too. Hands down the worst meal we ever had here. A carry-out - bought 2 16oz prime ribs, med-rare. First piece was medium on one end and rare on the other. Second piece was uber-rare and about 70% fat (terrible cut). Was inedible. We cooked it further but it was so fatty it was impossible to eat. Add to that we received no butter with the potatoes, and 2 (two total) rolls, with no honey butter. Will not return there again. read more

Friday night and it was crazy busy and loud, but my meal was fabulous. I had the portobello mushroom chicken dish with green beans and baked potato. Enough for two meals but I ate every last bite because it was too good to stop. My husband called ahead to put us on the waitlist earlier that day so we got ahead of the crowd. Service was very good. worst Texas roadhouse ever. I have gone there between four and six times b and every time but one I've had an issue. Today I had my granddaughter with me and the rest of my family. Total of three people and the baby was not eating. We waited over an hour for our food to come out.i had to ask for a manager even though my waitress said he know we were having issues. His Name is Josh and should be fired. Didn't come over to our table until I asked for him. He went to go check on the food 15 minutes later we still didn't have no food. He tried using the excuse that because we ordered our steaks, medium and medium well. Thats why it was taken longer, and why the other tables around us got their food first because they were rare and cooks faster. During my next 15 minute that my food did not come. I ask few of the people. In fact, there's was not rare thief's were medium. I will be looking for Josh's boss Sep Adams. But I'm expecting that this will go nowhere. My steak I ordered medium rare and it actually was cooked to perfection so they did a fabulous job on this! Overall the service was good. The two things that were the most frustrating was, 1. they don't give you any updates on a time frame from when you check in till when you get seated and 2. the noise level of the music when the employees dance in the isles is inappropriately loud. This happened when myself and I guess we're sitting at the table and we couldn't even have a conversation. The baby that was with us started crying because the music was hurting her ears and looking around the restaurant the other guests were appalled by how loud the music was as well. when I brought it up to the manager she said they had switched to a new system and they used to be able to increase or decrease the volume by decibel, now that's not the case and they're trying to find a happy medium. From my standpoint finding a happy medium it's better to have it not loud enough rather than so loud all you wanna do is cover your ears. As a manager if I were to look around the room it was pretty clear that all of the customers were annoyed with how loud that music was. Hence my three star rating read more

What a friendly staff We usually go to a different TR but met our son for dinner. We arrived around 4:30 On a Friday and the place was busy already. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was efficient and quickly arrived at our table. Once food was ordered, it came out quickly and it was hot. My husband and son had steak and I had shrimp. We were all satisfied and filled. The manager came by and asked how everything was. We never felt rushed and it was Just an awesome dinner. I have ate at Texas Roadhouse many times food and service has always been great. ate at the one on Secor Road our waiter was very poor. took about ten minutes for him to bring our salads, then we waited another 1/2 hour for our food to come out. He came over to present our bill and apologized said he forgot to put our order in. offered us a free dessert or free appetizer on our next visit. He did not have a problem serving drinks to the 3 gentlemen behind us and talking with them. Can't remember his name but very poor servic, food was over cooked didn't want to send it back and wait another 1/2 hour it was already 9:00 when we left. Decided to place an order for curbside pickup. I was pleased that my order was delivered to my car right on time with a smile. My steak melted in my mouth, they gave plenty of toppers for my enormous baked potato and salad. As always the buttered biscuits were warm and delicious. Well this is the first non local curbside I've done during the covid crisis. I was excited about the prospect of "to go" drinks, but this location isn't participating despite being allowed by the state of Ohio during this unprecedented time. Ok strike one, but not their fault. No prime rib despite it being on the menu, sigh... but ok I guess I'm getting a ribeye. I show up for my 9pm pick up and wait until almost 9:30. I get home, zero condiments. No butter for my rolls, none of the cinnamon or honey or brown sugar for my sweet potato, it's just plain and uncut. No extra salad dressing-which I paid for. No extra BBQ sauce which I ordered, and our ribs were super dry. Never again. ***This review is based strictly on a curbside order*** I'll preface this review by saying that I am not a steak person - big chunks of chewy meat does nothing for me, and I tend to only order seafood at steakhouses. However, I was intrigued by an opinion that I'd heard that chainhouse steaks like Texas Roadhouse are just as good as say Mancy's. My boyfriend and I wanted to test out the theory so we ordered the blooming onion, rattlesnake bites, bone in ribeye with rice and green beans, and the roadkill with fries and loaded sweet potato. The curbside line was organized but took longer than I expected considering that we specified a pickup time and placed our order like 7 hours ahead of time. But I guess it was busy so not a big deal. We expected the food to be on the soggy side since it's not served fresh. The blooming onion (or cactus blossom whatever they call it) was still amazing. Whoever originally came up with the idea is genius because it's a better version of onion rings. The rolls, as everyone knows, are my absolute favorite food item here. So soft and sweet and buttery - I wish they would sell these rolls in grocery stores. The rattlesnake bites were good but didn't stand out - pretty standard jalapeno poppers. The meat dishes were awesome IF you like steaks more on the medium well side (I know it's heresy to like anything that's not medium rare but I ain't apologizing). The bone in ribeye was seasoned well and had a nice crust. I actually enjoyed eating a steak for a change. The roadkill was a surprisingly small portion especially compared to the picture online but it was soooooo good. Mushrooms and onions on a thick hamburger patty essentially - again, everything was seasoned and cooked well. The sides were extremely underwhelming. Greens were watery, rice had no flavor, and I didn't even get my sweet potato :( They must've forgotten to put it in even though it was the first line item on my receipt. Oh well. All in all, I would definitely come back. Prices are cheaper than at a steakhouse, and I'd rather eat the steaks here anyway. read more

The wait at Texas Roadhouse is never very long and worth the wait . The wait staff is always very friendly. The drinks at the bar are great. And the food is fantastic. I've never had enough room to try there dessert's . They stopped giving us customers peanuts?. They are right next door to Bubba's 33 off Secor rd . Great location.
