Driving through the area heading to Michigan. Decided to stop for lunch. Started searching places and found this. Good ratings and not too far off the highway. This was a typical bar pub. Bar up front and specials on the board. Seats either high tables or low tables. It was crowded for a Thursday around 12.30p. Lots of workers and families eating lunch. Good mix of people. Asked the server a few questions about the menu. Chicken tenders are homemade. So I ordered 3 and a side salad. They came out quickly. All our lunches did. They were big and meaty and not too much breading super good. Salad was good size and not bad. I liked it. My 2 friends got the medium BLT on rye and the other got the tacos. The BLT was a winner. You choose 3 sizes which is why 3 prices. The medium was pretty substantial. The tacos were big. The issue with them was too many onions. A few is good. This was loaded. Server was good. First time here at this very popular Oregon restaurant. They were very busy which I was told is usually the way it is. A very complete menu with a variety of selections. Everything on the menu comes in a small medium and large serving. BEWARE their large portions are totally insane which I learned the hard way. Overall their food is very good and service was quick and our server was friendly and attentive. They also stay open till 2 am. My advice to you is be very careful if you order a large size of anything but then that's why they have doggy bags. read more

In town for baseball and was in need of some food. Oregon, Ohio isn't exactly a booming town with lots of choices. I did see a newer brewery but they didn't serve food, so I ended up at Paddy Joe's. And I am very happy I did. It is a stand alone builiding next to a Meijers, that was at least two different Mexican restaurants before being purchased and turned into Paddy Joe's. Upon walking in I noticed a sign that was very faded, so it made me wonder. But sometimes that kind of look has found me in the best places. This was another one of those times. Walking in had the feel of a place that has a very loyal following. Lots of people at the bar having fun with each other. I was welcomed quickly, by not only the bartender, but by the people sitting next to me. They all helped me with the menu. I have to admit, on looking at the prices, which were high in my opinion, I soon learned why. Watching other people's food come out, the portions were absolutely huge. A single smashburger actually has two patties on it. I ordered a chicken chunk bowl which you can customize how you want. I couldn't believe my eyes how many pieces of chicken there were in the bowl. And not crap chicken, it was what looked like handcut pieces hand breaded. If I am wrong, that's fine, but it was awesome! Menu had a wide range of choices for sure. Before I forget, the decor was awesome. Someone loves their music. The entire location had hand painted portraits of famous musicians. A very talented person. Pattie Joe's was recommend to me from a complete stranger. I was checking out a storefront not to far from it and told my partner I was hungry and wanted to go have dinner somewhere. He's a vegetarian, I'm not but he insists on having me choose the restaurant. We were going back and forth telling each other they should choose I didn't know the area and used it as an excuse. Then out of the blue a man came to us and said if you want some really good food go to Patty Joe's it's just across the street. Trust me you'll like it. Food is always hot, I've enjoyed everything I've tried here. Serving sizes are generous as are the GIANT drink glasses that eliminate the wait for refills. I'm not one to partake in alcoholic beverages so I can't speak to that aspect. The bar is always quite busy whenever I've we've been there.
