Going down Central, you might miss it. It's on the corner with Centennial. Walking in, we were greeted by a gentleman behind the bar, which is on the right. The dining area is to the left. Everyone, and I mean everyone is very nice, and friendly! I had a burger. Advertised as angus steak burger. Man , it was delicious! Everything that you hoped a burger would taste like. The fries were delicious also. The husband had a patty melt and HUGE steak fries. He said that his meal was one of the best he has ever eaten. Prices are decent for the amount of food, around $36. We didn't get anything from the bar, but it looked like they had a pretty nice selection. One perk is you can pay your bill at the table from your phone. I would eat there again in a heartbeat! Maybe get something from the bar next time.

New local favorite unlocked!…read more My husband and I had a quick date night at the newly opened Voodoo Brewing Company in Canton, and we're already planning to go back this week! Tonight we shared the BLT with avocado and their skin-on fries (so good!). I had the Tropical Cherry Mule --absolutely delicious--and David tried the Hazy Vibes IPA. Yesterday he and his buddy sampled the Lacto Kooler Sour, loved it so much they bought a six-pack and a shirt before leaving! A huge shoutout to our bartenders, Sarah and Shana, who made us feel right at home. We also had the pleasure of meeting owner Carla, who is incredibly friendly and a fellow dog lover--always a bonus in my book! The artwork throughout the brewery is stunning, hand-painted by two tattoo artists from Old World Tattoo in Imlay City. The detail is incredible and really gives the place its own unique personality. And that logo? So cool! If you're looking for a great new spot with amazing drinks, tasty food, awesome people, and a fun vibe, definitely check them out. Canton, you've got a winner! We'll definitely be back. #VoodooBrewing #VoodooBrewingCanton #SupportLocal #CantonMI #DateNight #MichiganBreweries #CraftBeer #CherryMule #HazyVibesIPA #LactoKooler #DogLovers #GoodVibes #Foodie #Cheers #NewFavoriteSpot

We recently hosted a retirement party for my boss here, and from start to finish the experience was outstanding. Wayne and Amy were incredible to work with while planning everything--they helped coordinate the setup, worked with us on catering appetizers, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They even accommodated us bringing in our own cake, which was a huge plus. They gave us a large dedicated section for our group, and everything ran seamlessly all night. The food and drinks were fantastic across the board--everyone in our party was raving. The pretzel bites with beer cheese were a big hit, and the pulled pork nacho bar for appetizers was next level. People kept going back for more and talking about it all night. But the real standout of the evening was our waitress, Karissa. She was an absolute rockstar. We had a large group with individual tabs for everyone, and she kept everything perfectly organized without missing a beat. Drinks were always full, food came out quickly, and no one was left waiting or confused. Whatever system she was running behind the scenes--it worked flawlessly. It's not easy to keep a big group happy, and she made it look effortless. Whether you're going for a casual dinner or planning a large event, this is a place that knows how to take care of people. Highly recommend.

The waitress brought us bread as we waited. The bread had a very nice seasoning on top and was warm and moist. Our food arrived shortly after and my wife loved her steak and the Brussel sprouts were top notch. My wife steak was cooked exactly as she ordered and was flavorful and tender. My pork chops came out with a very nice deep bourbon, flavorful sauce and were tender and juicy. I tend to order pork chops at the many steakhouse restaurants we have visited and these were on par with the best. At the end of our meal, my wife ordered the creme brulee. This was one of the best we ever had. To top this off, our waitress was amazing and the service was excellent. I highly recommend you stop in here for some of their great food!

Also the bread they bring out to everyone was the best part of the meal. Everything else sadly fell flat. We each got the prime rib special, medium rare. They came out with grill marks on them. Both medium to medium well at best. Worst part is that it was overcooked and not that warm. Dinner came out so quick we both didn't finish our salads. Which was fine as my friend said her ceaser salad just tasted like mayo. Got dessert and it was equally disappointing for my friend. Her creme brûlée was frozen in the middle. We like to try new places and support local whenever we can but this one just fell flat

I had the best early Birthday Dinner tonight with my dear Friend-Sister!…read more While Cooper's Hawk is a chain, I believe they do a great job of enhancing the experience of their guests. Upon entering, there's a long bar where many people gather to sample various wines. There's also an extensive offering of potential gifts if you choose. Yes, pricey, but fun to browse. The overall ambiance is what I would describe as upscale casual, but you can also dress up as much as you'd like. It's a sophisticated and yet comfortable environment and the staff members we encountered were very welcoming and attentive. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server, Taylor, was the absolute best!!! We started off with Lemon Drop Martinis that were perfect. (I took lots of pics but not of the martinis because we were thirsty!) We had narrowed our entree selections of salmon down to two and Taylor gave us her honest opinion of what she preferred while also telling us that the other option was very popular. Both my friend and I ordered the lighter salmon entree that was served with lemon and lots of vegetables. (I had previously had the miso soy glazed salmon with coleslaw, which was amazing.) I did not regret trying the lighter version of salmon with the vegetables and finger potatoes. The combination was perfect and the salmon was excellent and not at all fatty. Btw, the calorie count was 570 for this entree... Gotta love that! Since my friend reminded Taylor that we were celebrating my birthday, she brought out truffles with a candle. It was a very sweet and special way to end the evening- even though neither of us could eat another bite. It was boxed up and I put it in the fridge to share with my mom in the next day or so. While my experience at Cooper's Hawk sometimes varies between a 4-5 star experience, tonight was definitely 5 stars! Highly recommend!

They offer 2 no cost wine tastings as part of your meal but we did not partake. We had a reservation which is a must on a Saturday evening. You can also participate in wine tasting while you wait for a table. The tables are nicely spaced so you aren't sitting extremely close to others and being interrupted by conversation from other tables. The location is able to accommodate large groups and intimate dining. Our server was new but knowledgeable about the menu. Since we were first time customers, there is a required upsell speech that we were not interested in as people that don't enjoy wine and had no interest in a wine club so our server shortened that up for us. We are grateful for her ability to read the room. We tried the caprese flat bread for our appetizer. The bread is thin and crispy and toppings were flavorful but not overpowering. It was a light and enjoyable starter. The balsamic could have been stronger for our taste but overall, the dish was good. Our server brought out "complementary fresh baked pretzel bread". It looked lovely and had a crisp outer shell but was frozen in the middle. After completing our appetizer, we waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive to the table. Our server informed us that the short rib risotto I had order was the hold up as the short ribs were "just coming out of the oven". When our meal arrived the presentation was lovely; however, my "short rib" which was actually a large, tough, lukewarm piece of chuck roast served over mashed potatoes with grilled vegetables (not mushroom risotto) was less than I had hoped. On the bright side, those roasted veggies were top notch and the gravy which was necessary to choke down the tough meat was really quite tasty. Unfortunately, my husband's steak was also overcooked. He agreed that the vegetables were the best part of the meal. We skipped dessert as we had experienced enough disappointment for one night. The ambiance was nice, our server was pleasant and knowledgeable, the food just didn't make the grade.
