Our waitress made some suggestions when asked and came back often to check on us and provide drink refills. The food was pretty typical for a bar, but the portions were large and well prepared. The booth area is HORRIBLE!!! They have one long table that they split with a "fence" but you can still see and hear the people that are sitting right next to you. It also sucks when the people next to you are really loud have a baby crying and the "adult" is literally banging on the table and since it's all one table for the "two booth" your table is shaking and moving from the banging. Original waitress shows up about ten minutes into meal. We ask for napkins because... chicken wings. The next time we saw the waitress was when she dropped off the bill. It was sad. Great service at the bar. The drinks are good and reasonably priced. The food is decent - typical sports bar fare with the emphasis on sandwiches and "chicken chunks" or "bombs" with a variety of combos and sauces. But they eliminated arguably, the best item on the menu - Island Bombs - chicken chunks in a tangy sweet & sour sauce with mandarin oranges. I have come to this restaurant 8 times this year the first few times the service was slow and wings weren't very good they were dry and over cooked. The wings from speedway are 10 times better !!! The last two times have been horrendous. We were trying to eat and there was a table behind us with 8 adults drinking and a table next to them with there kids there kids were running around the restaurant yelling and screaming and throwing balls around! Safe did nothing at all about it !!! I watched and heard muptile people get up and leave in disgust and say they will never eat there again.. you can order wings buy the pound and they give you one tiny cup of sauce and if you want more it's almost a buck a peace how is one little tiny cup supposed to be satisfying? And why would it cost me 5 bucks extra to have a decent amount of sauce doesn't seem right to me when every other restaurant out there gives you a decent amount and if you want extra sauce it's only 25 cent a peace. The service was good. But it's overall ok. It's a fairly large place although there was a wait. They bread their wings, so once you add the sauce makes the wings kinda gooey and soft. The skin doesn't crisp up. So I wasn't a big fan. The tater tots were good. And the drinks were good. read more

Had dinner here last night and it was great! We had their sampler with potato skins, fried pickles, mozz sticks, and fried mushrooms. The fried pickles weren't that great but everything else was good to great with the the fried mushrooms topping the list. For our main entree we each got a different version of their chicken bombs which were all amazing! The Island Bomb and Atomic Bomb were the best, but the Mashed Potato Bomb was really good as well. The only complaint I have is that we called ahead to see if they were open and they didn't mentioned there was a wait list. It would have taken them 5 seconds on the phone to ask if we were coming and if we would like to be added. Instead we drove 20 minutes to be told we needed to be added to the list and that the current wait was 30 minutes. read more

We were staying in the area and after reviewing a few places this spot had really good reviews. People spoke highly about the fried mushrooms, the brown sugar burger and wings so I figured we'd give it a try. We ended up ordering each; the mushrooms were delicious, they were heavily breaded which I wasn't too fond of, I did ask for them to be breaded lightly, but overall they were pretty good. The burger had really good flavor, it was a little oily so it made the bread a little soggy. The wings were amazing! They were definitely the highlight of dinner, they were crispy and cooked to perfection! I really loved the crankin yankin hot sauce, the flavor and spice was on point! Our bartender Honey was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was cool, this is a pretty chill place but for a Monday they had a really good crowd. I had high hopes for this place, but in the end I was a bit underwhelmed. On Untappd, it looked like customers were checking in craft beers, and they were, but they only have a very few on tap. That was a bummer. Customers are too on top of each other here, even for the pre-pandemic days. Maybe part of that it it seemed a bit like everyone else knew everyone else except me, so people were standing in aisles and moving between tables. Just too much for me at my tiny little table that seemed to be along the side of a hallway. I had take out orders sitting on a ledge next to my head. The food was OK, but I don't think they could have put my sandwich and fries in a smaller basket. No room to maneuver and lost fries over the side. Not bad, but not great... We have been customers of Luckie's for years, as they always have good food and service. This last visit was so good, I had to comment as the place was slammed Tuesday 12/28/21 and they didn't miss a beat. We always get the fresh jumbo mushrooms, a plentiful, crisp fried, never soggy appetizer that is offered at a great price. My husband's Mushroom Swiss burger was tender and made to his liking, meaning no carmelized onions, just fresh onions for him. The tater tots always a fun choice for a side, were crispy fresh, hot & more than enough to round out his meal. I was disappointed that they are discontinuing the Texarkana menu items as I thought it was a creative bar food spin. Our server Rae D. then suggested making "my own" with the chicken bomb salad. HOLY COW, it was awesome, loaded with tender chicken nicely covered in garlic parm, onions, bacon, cheddar & of course house ranch on the side. The kitchen staff made my day with this salad and it more than made up for the Texarkana menu going away. For the price, I had chicken left over to warm up in my air fryer the next day for a treat. Kudos to Rae. She was a great server, she kept our table clean, drinks filled, knew her menu and was super sweet. I liked that she took time to talk to us a bit, even with the busy night she was having. Yes, I am probably one of those people on the commercial that likes talking to the servers and finding out their names (& it helps because she deserved an atta girl on Yelp). I even joked with Rae that I didn't take a picture to post of my salad, as it is all my own. In the past year, we have had a lot of grumpy service at places, cold or really poorly made food that we simply overlooked due to Covid staffing issues. It's our choice not to say anything as kindness is always the better road at home and work. I had told my hubby that evening, I am so tired of Covid excuses at places, lets just go home and eat. Came in after a long day traveling from Texas for the Biggest Birding Week. Was welcomed by 3 young ladies at front and seated quickly. I frequent the area often for work and have been here on several occasions. I was impressed with the first couple visits. However, lately the service as well as the food have diminished. My original review applauded the bacon wrapped filets. Well, the last two visits proved questionable as to the cuts of meat. Chewy at best and no where near what I would call a filet. Great bar for a football game and some pitchers of beer as well as some bar food. But I would pass on taking my girl here for dinner. read more

Go to Luckie's when you're hungry! Good size portions to split or for leftovers! There were 7 of us and even though it's a big place there aren't many tables for bigger groups. Mostly 4tops. The place is very casual and fun! We started off with the onion rings as an appetizer... worth ev-er-y calorie! And the spicy sauce that come with it- delicious! I ordered my bleu cheese burger with no bun and extra crispy fries- oh so good! Others had fish sandwiches and raves about them! And don't forget the Chicken Bombs! It is a big serving so some at the table split an order and had a salad- a very good idea! The waitress was great- she checked back with us about refills and all was good!
