We really loved this place and was super stoked when they opened this location. Recently this location is going down hill. We stopped in Monday night at 530. The 2 young girls working there should not be in customer service both of them where very rude and pushy. One of them got annoyed that I took 2 seconds try to decided what to order. Even when they gave us our order one of the bags was ripped and they put literally one little piece of tape and told me to be carful. They have sushi know at this location. DO NOT ORDER THE SUSHI. I got cucumber avocado rolls and it was very old. Avocado was black and the whole thing smelled rotten. Peace out yoshis you had a good ride there. read more

The food here was great and served to me quickly. They have great customer service, would definitely recommend. I ordered a California roll and a teriyaki beef bowl, both items were delicious. They took my order as soon as I walked in and it took them less than three minutes to get me my food. A great experience overall. read more

Amazing teriyaki chicken and orange chicken. The teriyaki sauce is so good that I always get extra. The large serving is huge with a good amount of rice. The orange chicken is so fresh and crispy that it stays crispy even an hour after you get it. If you want health fast food you can get a teriyaki vegetable with light or no rice. read more

Sadly, this isnt a thrill to the neighborhood. The meat is low quality at best, had muscle and fat throughout the dark meat. The cuts were dark meats not even or precise. Rice was soggy. My son would not eat it, he eats everything. Basically, food for people on a strict low income budget, Seriously. Avoid. read more

Makes you wonder why this place is so inconsistent. One time it's good, the next time it's horrible, next time it's great, next time it's awful. Geez, where's a manager with a little quality control? Last night two different chicken dishes had burnt, dry, chalk-like meat I wouldn't have served hogs. Also, the chicken breast that was supposed to be sliced was in two big chunks and I couldn't saw through it with a serrated butcher's knife. Great food, awesome price! I only went once through the drive through and I already love this place. Yoshi's is right in between a dispensary and a crowded bus stop, so think hole in the wall. Quicky wow chow at it's finest, I loved Yoshi's when I worked near downtown, and now there is one in the north valley! House in a former Subway restaurant, with no furniture update, a drive-thru has an added. Cashiers are pleasant and helpful, portions are generous and prices are low. Quality is average, but what do you really expect? I had the teriyaki chicken with steamed vegetables as a side. I later discovered I could have ordered this as a combination, or perhaps even a salad with most of the same ingredients. I will be back to try the rest of the menu! Second visit involved driving through only for a quick meal for my mother-in-law. She really enjoyed it! read more

I had high hopes going into Yoshi's, so that's probably why my rating is less than superb. While the appearance of the restaurant was nice, the surroundings could use a little work. For example, the interior and exterior was nice, but construction was going on on the street outside, causing less than desirable traffic. I shouldn't hold this to the fault of the restaurant though. What I can say is that the food is good for the price you pay. It's typical Japanese fast food fare, so don't expect too much and you'll be fine. Unfortunately for me, my expectations were high because I was hoping for something similar to a Japanese kitchen in California that I used to frequent a lot last year. I would probably say that Waba Grill is better than Yoshi's, but if Yoshi's is in your neighborhood, it's good enough, just not great. read more

"Have a rice day " Always see this sign and the restaurant but never get the chance to stop by .. well finally I had the opportunity to and WOWWWW! If you love spicy rice bowls this place is calling your name! I had the "viva caliente" The flavors, the spice with cilantro ahhh absolutely delicious!! And portion for the price enjoyed half and saved half for later. Oh and it gets better.. the fact that they have a drive thru #mindblown I love it! 100% recommend and 100% will be back to try more! read more

I had really wanted a new rice bowl place to eat since the flame broiler shut down ! Had hoped this would become my new weekly stop . Sadly this probably won't be it . I had tried the dragon beef which was basically just a sauce consisting of Sriracha on top ... the beef wasn't the best quality . Also tried the teriyaki chicken and veggies . It was alright .. nothing amazing ... Portions were a good size which was a positive ! I'll probably give it one more try ! (Try to stay away from the drive-thru as it's a horrible set up especially when thunderbird has horrible traffic!) read more

The food is great but the customer service is horrible. The front of house staff don't know the menu when asked what's in a specific item. I asked for hot sauce two times with my drive-thru order and still didn't receive it. Luckily I enjoy the food so I return; however, the incompetent staff is definitely getting old. read more

I see this place all the time driving by it and I love teriyaki chicken and Yoshi's had good reviews. I ordered the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl and had it delivered to my apartment. I'll admit I had high expectations because of all the reviews, but my teriyaki chicken was extremely disappointing. The sauce basically tasted like pepper and salt; it was very bland and probably the worst teriyaki sauce I've ever had. My other complaint was how carelessly they just threw the food in the bowl. It looked like someone tried to chop the chicken with a dull blade because the chicken was cut but all the pieces were still attached to each other so it was just one big chicken octopus. I don't know if I just ordered on a bad day or what but if that's the kind of teriyaki being served I'm not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from. read more

Happy Birthday Mr Yoshi and I wish I could upgrade my stars but once again the service is mediocre at best. I believe the small things makes or breaks customer service and your counter staffs performance has truly deteriorated. Two gentleman you originally had made customer service, giving you a cup and lid, bringing your food on a tray when it wasn't busy so Is it too much to ask if it's "for here or togo " or provide me with the drinking cup I'm paying for along with the lid that is tucked away because of COVID? Instead your counter staff are all too interested in getting the order quickly so they can turn around to check their phone! Your food is still good but if the customer service continues downward you will have lost this customer. read more

Went through the drive through. First thing i noticed was that they dont offer pepsi which was weird but they do offer a new drink called pesi kinda like pepsi but one less p.didnt try it so not sure the difference.they are forced to say have a rice day which is a lot like hell if you ask me they might feel more confident wearing dog ears. The food was good other than the teritaki chicken was very stringy like they sowed the meat together with p they left out in pepsi. Over all 7 out of 10 i might go again read more

Note to the manager, Yelp directions had the incorrect address listed. Terrible customer service here. Saw that it had a drive thru and considering I had three small children with me, thought this place would be perfect. I got in line for the drive thru with 2 cars ahead of me at 7:50pm. Proceeded to wait 12 long minutes. When you have your entire family in the car and hungry it honestly felt so long. When I get to the window to order, I'm told they "closed at 8" and wouldn't help. It was 8:02 and I had just waited 12 minutes to be refused service. It's not like they were opening themselves up to a long line of cars or anything. No one else was behind me. They just refused to help me because I did get to their window before 8. Staff is friendly, professional and attentive. Food is yummy and very affordable. Everything on the condiment bar was fresh and well stocked. We tried the orange chicken, the sesame chicken, the ramen and crab puffs. Everything was good and very hot. Portions are just the right size. It's fast food but as such it's relatively healthy and they make it fresh while you wait. I'm only giving them three stars because since they've been open this location has been unable to get their goddamn drive-through speaker to work. This means you have to wait until each person in front of you has ordered and received their food at the window, before you can even place your order. This means they don't start making it until you get to the window. Not an issue if you're first in line, but a real pain in the ass if you're waiting for three other people and makes it take twice as long as it should at a bare minimum. I used to eat go through here Weekley, but will not return until they get that speaker fixed. Your staff is friendly and helpful but it doesn't make up for waiting 20 minutes for a teriyaki vegetable bowl. As for detail on the food, it's freshly made, consistently prepared and a great value. It's just not worth waiting that long for in a drive-through. read more
