I was excited to try this place because I heard they sell gopchang (or beef intestine). Yes, for those who aren't familiar with this, it sounds disgusting. For for those who know, there recently was a gopchang craze in South Korea, and people love it. Right when you enter, you will realize that the interior is very clean and that it has a nice atmosphere to it. We sat down and ordered the gopchang combo. Like many Korean restaurants, there are many complimentary side dishes (and rice, steamed egg, salad, soybean soup). The food was very good. Most importantly the meat was fresh! The combination of the gopchang, sauces, rice, egg, soup, and side dishes really hit the spot. Will come back here to eat this again (may try the gopchang soup () next time!). They also have other Korean BBQ options if you are feeling regular pork/meat bbq. I would say for Gopchang Story fans, this is different. It's not a fancy place, but the food is authentic, fresh and clearly was prepared by someone who knows Korean food. It was clean & neat; the staff very attentive and helpful. Just went here for lunch on Saturday with my parents and it was delicious!! I am really picky about my kalbi...my favorite is Sorak Garden in Annandale. This place is just as good and half the distance from my place. The kalbi is good and so are all their great sides (a lot)! On a cold rainy day we decided to check out this Korean restaurant in the area and we were impressed. We ordered the spicy pork soup (gam cha tong). It was absolutely delicious. The meat was so juicy and soft that as soon as I touched it, the meat fell off the bone. The potatoes in the soup was great as well. The soup also tasted so good that I can't stop eating. The quality of food is something that you can't find in the area. It's a must try! The servers here were nice and welcoming as well. I crave Korean food pretty much every day . This is really the ultimate comfort food for me and I really appreciate a good Korean bbq restaurant. This restaurant is in a shopping center I typically wouldn't pay much attention to but I highly recommend it. Very clean on the inside and fantastic customer service . I like that they give a personal salad to each person dining at the table . Not really the best sides for Korean bbq but don't let that deter you . They have good quality meat and their soup( no matter which one you get) is very tasty . Their steamed egg is seasoned well and yes that matters because I've been to many other places where it tastes bland . I enjoyed everything as well as the barley tea. I've traveled by this Korean barbecue place for many years and never stopped in. This past weekend my wife and I stopped in to give it a try and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely delicious and the entire experience of cooking at your table was truly something new. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all friends and family. This review is based off of ordering the all you can eat kbbq. Food was decent, owner was nice, but the service was aboslutely horrible which made us feel like we just completely wasted our money. While we were in there, there were 2 servers and only 6 other people in there besides our table of 3, so 9 customers total. We got the all you can eat and was never told that there was a time limit. Our service was so slow that we were only able to order two times in an hour. We pressed the call button multiple times but it took a while for the server to get over to us. After about an hour the server shuts off the fan and our fire and when we asked to order more, we were told that "we had reached our time limit." We sat there for another 20 minutes hitting the call button and waiting for someone to come by to bring us our check so that we could leave and no one came by. I managed to flag down the owner to get our check and asked her what the time limit was, to which she said its 90 minutes. We informed her that our server shut off the grill after an hour and stopped taking our order, and during that hour was slow to come by even when the call button was hit. She genuinly looked like she felt bad and told us to order more and that she would get a new grill and didn't want us leaving hungry, but we told her we had already lost our appetites from sitting so long at that point and just wanted to leave. She ended up telling us to wait and brought us fried dumplings because she said she didn't want us to leave hungry. The only redeeming quality of this place is that the owner is nice, and that along with the gesture of wanting to bring us more food so we wouldn't leave feeling upset/hungry is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. This place needs to either retrain their servers, or just get new servers. I cannot recommend this place for their all you can eat kbbq with their service/servers being like this. I can't comment on how it would be if we had ordered menu items or a la carte, but from my point of view it did not look like the servers were really going to any other tables, and at one point the owner noticed a table did not receive their banchan after being there for a while after they ordered and had to tell the server to bring it to them. read more

When I arrived, I got two orders, but only one had the side dishes. I spoke to Mrs Lee about it and she kept saying no no no, buy one free doesn't include the buy one get one free for the side dishes. What!!??. That doesn't even make any sense. If I order a buy one get one free, I should get two of everything that I would get if I ordered one, and I did not get that. The galbitang was very good!! I ordered it through Ubereats, and it was still hot when I got it and was the perfect portion (contained four bones of meat and lots of radishes). The experience was not pleasant. We went in for the Korean BBQ that's advertised. We order #1 Galbil Jeongsik + Mool Neang Myun. Its description on the menu is "beef short ribs marinated in our chef's special sauce and cold noodles with soybean paste stew or steamed egg." Since it is under the "Korean BBQ" section of the menu, we thought it'd be a BBQ dish that would be cooked at the table. Nope, it's served cooked. I thought ok, maybe it's miscommunication, as long as the galbi is cooked, it's good. I was wrong. Even though the outside is burnt, I bite into it and it's way too soft and chewy. It's pink and not cooked all the way. The marinate is ok, but it's not good enough for me to risk eating it raw. The server also tried telling us that the set doesn't come with soybean paste stew or the steamed egg even though it's stated in the menu. Her attitude changed from being nice to a little rude when we asked for it. I just don't like to have to argue to get what I have ordered. The server was clearly not very familiar with the menu, perhaps because the place is so new. Side dishes are not good, they are a little skimmed. There were eggplant that was too mushy, cucumber in sesame oil, pickled spicy cucumber, potato salad, kimchi that's too sour for my taste, garlic and goju that have been sitting there for a while, salad that's a little spicy. The set doesn't come with rice and barely come with a steamed egg (we didn't get to choose the stew). Mind you, this is a $39 set. There were two of us and none of us was full after the meal. I'd rather pay $10 more and eat at meokja meokja, or even iron age. This is the third time this location is being re-opened in the past year or two. And it still sucks. I don't know if this location is cursed, or the owner is just too cheap to actually invest in improving food quality. I don't know if it is still owned by the same owner but the food tastes the same and the service is still meh. They didn't bother to renovate the place either. Everytime I walk into the restaurant, it's empty and the reasons are apparent. I wish it'd get better because the location is nice and I love Korean food. Woomiga gives me the vibe that I am back in Asia again. The service was extremely prompt and friendly. The space was very clean and cozy. The best part, of course, was the food. I had the in-marinated galbi, pork belly, and the seafood jigae (soup) as my selections. The meats were tender and tasty which were amplified by the dipping sauce of sesame oil with salt and pepper. I tasted the miso and it was great as well, but I am extremely partial to the sesame oil. The soup was fantastic as well with a nice kick and fresh seafood such as cod and clams. It was also packed with an assortment of vegetables. The meal also came with some additional sides of a steamed egg, kimchi assortment, and salad. All were fresh and amazing but I was particularly fond of the steamed egg and all 3 kimchi! I highly recommend Woomiga! read more

Hello all! Welcome to another review. This place is a new Korean Restaurant with its own slight take. When you enter you don't really expect much but all big things start with a step forward. I would classify this place as an emerald in the rough. They've been open a couple of weeks by the time I've posted this so keep in mind it's still growing. When you enter you don't expect much, but decor will grow as the restaurant grows. The people here are absolutely friendly. They truly make a first timers experience or an avid Korean food eater's experience elevated and welcoming. I will not be removing a star because of decor at this point. The food was sub phenomenal. I ordered the Galbi Jeongsig + Bibim Naeng Myun. The reason I didn't love the food as much as I should have are the sides. They should bring a cart with all the sides out and ask the customers what items they would like to de-clutter tables. The meat is well seasoned and prepared if you let them cook it for you. I will have to remove one star for the music. They should theme their music to what they would expect in a Korean restaurant since currently they have a wide mix that would please some people but is confusing to me. This location seems to be a revolving door with owners constantly changing. In the past, it hasn't been that great, Woomiga is finally a place I can crave. We had the gopchang gui and galbi tang. Both were great, but especially the galbi tang. Meat was so tender, and cut easily with a spoon. Soup was flavorful... I couldn't get enough of it. DELISH! Recently, an extended family member purchased a Galbi Dubbob ($20 & means marinated & cooked beef rib meat & veggies poured over cooked rice) & a Galbitang ($17 & tang means soup) from this restaurant's web page & sent them to my mom & me because both of us have come down with the cold & my mom had mentioned wanting to eat some Galbi. The meat pieces in the Galbi Dubbob seemed to have a bit too much fat attached to them, & the amount of rice that was put right next to the meat pieces in the container was so little that it looked as if only about 1/2 bowl was placed in there. Ridiculous. No other Korean restaurant that I've ever eaten from gave such small amount of rice when I ordered any kind of Dub-bob. The amount of rice that other Korean restaurants provide when one orders a Dub-bob is 1.5 bowl at least. And when one orders Galbitang from any other Korean restaurant, it always gives several large pieces of rib meat. Not this one. It only contained several very small pieces of rib meat , some egg pieces & spring onion pieces. Ridiculous. And this soup was way too salty on top of this problem. The side dishes contained along with these 2 main entrees were: Kimchi -- The color was dark red, not pretty reddish & looked so unappetizing that neither of us even tried this one. The raw onion & jalapeno pieces dipped in soy sauce looked & smelled so unappetizing that we didn't even try this one either. Only 1 small miso soup was included; so I yielded this one to my mom. The last side dish was thin white radish pieces that had been marinated with vinegar & sugar, & I did like this one. Both my mom & myself are originally from Korea, & so, we've probably eaten from most Korean restaurants in this area by now, & my mom mentioned that she was surprised that a full scale Korean restaurant'd serve such low quality dishes over all & I fully agree. And worst of all, this restaurant did this while charging several dollars more per main dish than most other Korean restaurants in this area do. read more

We were greeted very warmly when we first entered and received amazing hospitality throughout our visit by all the women working there. I thought that was a friendly gesture since the owner claimed to be my moms friend. We ordered LA gal bi and pork belly which most places give free tofu soup and steamed egg with a double meat order, She charged for that too without telling us. Check your receipt at this place, not our first time being over charged here. My mother usually comes with a big group of her friends and spends around $500, but not anymore.
