This is regarding my Uber Eats order. I ordered bibimbap, galbi deopbap and Korean fried chicken wings. Bibimbap was very average, but I had major issues with the other two. Galbi deopbap- it was mostly onion with slivers of meat that had a lot of fat. Meat weren't the usual La Galbi cut either- it looked like they were just leftover trimmings of short rib! Very mediocre taste also. I mean compare my photo to what's displayed on Uber Eats menu. KFC- biggest issue. Wings came naked WITH KETCHUP packets... they were bland and not even really that crispy! So I called the restaurant and then asked to please fix this, at least refund for the wings. They go on to say "well you should have chosen the sauce because some people want them naked." Well guess what, there's no option to "choose" sauce on Uber Eats. The lady confirms it and says they still can't refund but I can come to the restaurant to pick up a new order. I mean I'm not going to leave dinner table to pick up this order that THEY messed up and waste an hour. I asked if I can talk to her boss and she says she's not here. The lady agrees they messed up but still refused to fix it. Not sure what to say. I understand sometimes people have bad days and food quality may vary but it's pretty upsetting they straight up refuse to fix their issue. Came here with the wife and kid (5year old). Ordered chicken to be cooked first so the kid can eat. The person cooking the chicken stopped cooking about 5 minutes in and out it on the plate. I cut open several pieces and they were raw in the inside. I brought it up to the waitress and management and they said they can cook it more in the back. I said why can't they just cook it more on the cook top out here and they refused which I thought was weird. I refused to feed the chicken to my kid and we got up and walked out. I don't know why we never checked out this place ever, but we regret not coming by sooner! Our family is pretty picky about Korean food because my MIL made the best Korean food ever. Now that she's gone, we were craving some good hanshik and decided we would try this place. They did not disappoint! It was empty because we came late on a weekday evening, so the owner was very present and hospitable. You can tell she puts a lot of care into the food that goes out. The banchan (Korean side dishes) looked super clean and pretty which is a huge plus! Some places, the banchan and especially kimchi looks like a hot mess, but we were pleasantly surprised with the look and taste of all the side dishes. It seems the recipes of the some of the food were passed down from her grandmother, but I may have misunderstood her. Regardless, the food was delicious! We ordered chadol (brisket), daechang, and makchang with add-on steamed egg and soybean soup that my son absolutely loved! This was too much food for us, but we ordered 3 meats so we could grill at the table. All the meats hit the spot and were so yummy! We might come here over our usual spot, Gopchang Story now. Loved that the makchang was marinated in spicy sauce already, just the way we like it. One tip is to grill the meats yourself (if you know how) because it's going to taste so much better if you grill it the right way. The tip is to make the daechang nice and crispy and makchang cooked thoroughly so it has that nice chewy texture to give you jawlines for days (jk forever double chin gang here, but a girl can dream right?!). The restaurant's interior is reminiscent of maybe 80's/90's Korean days with records and vintage posters decorating the wall. I usually like to peek into bathrooms of places to see how clean they are, but I was too busy to check the bathrooms out here. It was our first time here and it was an AMAZING experience!! Yes, you are first greeted by a robot so that's something unique. But then you are greeted by a human and seated. We went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't that busy. Yes, the music is a bit loud, but it didn't bother us one bit. If you are sensitive to loud music, this isn't your place to come, but you're going to miss out on some great food and service! We ordered the pork belly and marinated boneless pork ribs and it was just fascinating to watch it be prepared in front of us!! Go here if you want authentic jib bap (home cooked meals). The banchan are just like my mom's recipes. The kalbi was so tender and not too sweet. They offer kbbq sets like other kbbq places but they also have a lot of other options. The jogi gui (grilled whole croaker) was plump, tender and not overly salty. Coming in, you get greeted by a cute little robot waiter (just for payment), but of course there are still human waiters. The dae chang was just... a bit too fatty for my taste. The shrimp tempura had 3 shrimps, 2 zucchini, and 1 potato. I wouldn't say that is worth it, although the dish was crunchy and warm. The bulgolgi was sweet but the meat was cut up too small. The portions were reasonable, and the side dishes were okay. The cucumber tasted a bit old, however. Overall, for the quality of food and given the current inflation, I'd say it is slightly more expensive than your typical Korean bbq place. Went back to this restaurant with my fiancé last weekend and the food was still good and consistent! We went for dinner this time and it was a bit busier than lunch time. The bulgogi portion is bigger during dinner time but also slightly more expensive (by about $6-8). The Galbitang (short rib noodle soup) was so flavorful and you get a decent amount of meat. We also tried their specialty macarons which they introduced as new dessert options this month. They are larger than your normal $3 macarons. It was about $6 each but it's a very decent size macarons. We got the crème brûlée, rose flavor, and a Korean macaron that's not in the picture. We liked all of them but the Korean one is my favorite! It has mochi inside the macaron and not too sweet. A great Korean spot in NoVA! A very lowkey place (overlooked by the big Ocean Crab sign). I went during lunch time on a weekday and was greeted by two nice ladies who I assume own the place. They were super nice! They neatly placed our plates in an aesthetic way and was very accommodating. For the food, it was one of the most tastiest Korean restaurants I've been to in a while. I got the pork galbi with the mul-naengmyon (cold noodle broth) and steamed egg. I love that they do the cold noodles year round. The mul-naengmyon had great tasting broth but was very bare/basic. I wish it came with more toppings. I don't recall if it even had any meat in it. I also got the Galbitang soup (this was all shared by me and my partner). I am from Chicago, but I I travel a lot to eat good Korean places in the US. Woomiga is one of my favorite Korean places to go to when I am in the area. It may be a little bit more expensive than the other Korean places in the area, but the quality makes up for it. To emphasize my point about how good this place is, we all know the Korean "ajummas" have high expectation for the non-home made dishes. I can tell everyone including my mother and her friends approved that this place is really good. Try to get food away from its k-bbq. While their k-bbq is good, their home style dishes, including galbi tang, bibimbap, grilled fish, etc., makes me want to come back here all the time. My only negative comment is the history of the location where a bunch of bad Korean restaurants came in and failed. I really hope this place keeps up its quality and do well! read more

First time here today and it was horrible. We asked the server if the drinks had free refills (sweet tea), server told us yes. When we received the bill, we were charged for every drink we ordered. The food was not good at all. We ended up getting the all you can eat, everything that said marinated, wasn't. The meat was very bland or tasted bad. A definite must try! Some of the best Korean food I've had. Everything we ordered was delicious and reminded me of time spent with friends of Korean descent or time spent in Korea. The patrons of this restaurant were primarily Korean, but also included non-Koreans such as my group. This truly a first good sign of authenticity of an "ethnic" food restaurant. Many seemed to be regulars based on the observed banter. The restaurant does have English speaking staff. The Korean lady who we believe was the owner does speak English and was extremely helpful and caring with all the customers. She went out of her way and brought us additional items and taught everyone how to eat bulgogi the Korean way. Since I was the only one in the group who has been to Korea I went along quietly for the experience and truly enjoyed it. While the decor may not appear to be 100% Korean we loved the LPs that adorned the dividers and loved the music playing. If we had been at a loss for conversation this provided us with much to talk about. There are many great Korean restaurants in the area that we've tried and will try again, but we have found a new favorite that we will drive out of our way to frequent. read more

We used to visit this place all the time because their side dishes are truly authentic. The owner always treated us to special sides, showing genuine care for her customers. She adjusts the dishes based on the season and freshness, and you can tell she loves what she does. Her passion for Korean cuisine is evident in every bite. The doenjang jigae was so spicy it was definitely not done right (and I've had a lot of doenjang jigaes in my life). Kimchi was not served by default -- I had to ask for it. And they were so stingy with the kimchi and side dishes that I was denied after two servings (especially since they were already very tiny portions). No other Korean restaurant has done this to me. Moreover, the server never refilled our waters. The service was horrible. And the prices weren't cheap either. Hmart food court serves better food and bigger portions (not to mention you can ask for more kimchi). Definitely do NOT recommend. This is a SCAM. read more

We came across Woomiga located in the same shopping center as Ocean Crab. This place had pretty good reviews so figured it was worth a shot. The menu has a variety of options from a la cart Korean BBQ, tofu soup, and other braised stews commonly found in Korean restaurants. After seeing the price of the a la cart Korean BBQ, it made more sense to try the other items on the menu because we could have had the AYCE option for the price of one meat. We went with the beef stew (couldn't remember the name) and tofu soup with pork. Both were very tasty and came out pretty fast. The soups were pretty well seasoned and packed with toppings. The entrees comes with a complimentary rice bowl and some sides dishes. The rice tasted like it had been sitting for a few days and just reheated. One of the better Korean bbq restaurants in the Chantilly area. They are located in s terrible shopping center that doesn't help them but they help all of the other businesses by being there.
