I was pleasantly surprised my Gogiville! The inside is nicely decorated with cute string lights, gives some Korea vibes. The servers do a great job adjusting the vent so it isn't too smoky. Everyone was approachable and our server did well cooking and bringing us everything we asked for. Our server also paced the meal well for us, I appreciated this :) For large combos, they give double corn cheese, egg, and soup! This makes it so much nicer for sharing. They serve larger groups well since they also do the same for banchans. The meat quality was solid! I especially enjoyed the cubed rib and pork jowl. Additionally, I liked that they had all the condiments on the table do we can add and mix however we want. This was enjoyable for me as I am a condiment lover and tried different combos on my plate.

Picked this Korean BBQ location after having a successful experience the first time around. We got the usual brisket and pork belly, with corn cheese, and egg. Waiters were ready and attentive in serving us. Place was nice and clean for the most part.

    So colorful!

Fairly standard KBBQ overall. The meat quality is better than most AYCE spots, and there's a nice variety of banchan--especially the fish cake, which so few places still offer. I really appreciated the more unique sauce options, particularly the garlic wasabi. Our favorite cuts were the marinated rib fingers and the soy marinated pork ribs. I wasn't really a fan of the corn cheese, which lacked a creamy kick of mayo. The steamed egg was soft and fluffy, but the doenjang stew was a bit salty for my taste. The salad was light and refreshing, though a bit heavy on the red onion. Service was attentive but didn't feel personal. The flames and fumes were quite strong, and unfortunately my boyfriend ended up with an oil stain on his shirt while our server was grilling the meats. Overall, a satisfying meal--but I still prefer Honest Grill across the street, where the quality is even better for a similar price.

If you ask me for my favorite Korean BBQ in the DMV area, I would have to say Gogiville. We always get Combo 3, which comes with thinly sliced brisket (차돌박이), soy-marinated short ribs (양념갈비), seasoned cube rib (깍두기 주물럭), and unseasoned rib fingers (생늑간살), and the staff cook every single cut perfectly! The service here is outstanding. You don't have to ring the bell to get their attention. They come by your able and make sure everything is just right, incredibly attentive throughout the meal. The unlimited side dishes are fresh and delicious, adding even more flavor and variety to every bite. And don't even get me started on their cold noodle (물냉면). It's so good that I always have to pace myself during the meal so I have room to enjoy it as "dessert" haha Refreshing, perfectly chewy noodles with a tangy, savory broth that feels like the perfect finale to an already amazing feast. This place is also very accommodating for large parties. It's our famliy's go-to spot, and we dine here several times a year. They opened outdoor seating with self-service cooking in the fall, and I can't wait for the weather to get warmer to try out "picnic" style BBQ.

First impressions were all very good. All the food we ordered was delicious. Service was pretty good too. We ordered a variety of meats and our waitress did a great job grilling and serving the meats. I wasn't fond of the Garlic Wasabi sauce but the Teriyaki sauce was awesome. The side dishes were pretty good too. I especially liked the salad. We literally finished all the side dishes. We will have to come back.

Where to begin on this amazing journey of prime cuts of beef!! The service is very friendly and responsive!! They were quick to seat us and take our order, even with a sizeable group of 8+!! We ordered Chop Jae {spelling??} (clear glass noodles) and the prime cuts of beef, such as sirloin, flank, bulgogi, etc. The dining area was clean, quiet, subdued, so perfect dinner spot after a fun-filled day of hiking and non-stop Time Mission games( which was not only cerebral but physically demanding!!) The food was so delicious and fresh, as it was prepared perfectly cooked, not over or undercooked! And the cuts were PRIME!!! So an excellent deal to share among three (or even 4) people!! They had wonderful sauces like the garlic wasabi!! However, probably not good for those with gluten-sensitivity or allergies.. so be aware! Everyone was so nice and very accommodating, as well as efficient!! Absolutely loved this place!! Highly recommend, especially if you are in the area or if you are dining out

Food was good + service was attentive! We ordered a combo set for two and it was a great portion for two. All the meats were flavorful with the pork jowls being our favorite. We were on a slight time crunch of 1hr and was worried if we could finish eating on time but was happily surprised that they were so attentive to each table. They grilled our meat for us and came by often to refill anything needed. They also had a Valentine's Day deal the weekend we went and got two drinks for $10. I think it is a good spot for any time of meal as it's laid back enough for lunch yet has good vibes if you're out with friends for dinner. Overall, super happy with our experience here!

Gogiville, VA, is situated at Centrewood Plaza, a strip mall featuring various Korean restaurants and a Giant Supermarket. This restaurant is famous for its Korean barbecue combo sets. I visited for lunch from the à la carte menu and was glad to discover they offer lunch specials--Soft Tofu Soup, Galbitang, or Hot Stone Bibimbap for $12.99 each. These are available for dine-in only, from 11 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, and include refillable side dishes. The staff served complimentary hot Bori-cha (roasted barley tea) on this cold day, a thoughtful touch. I ordered the dolsot bibimbap, which felt small but offered great value; it tasted good and healthy, with vegetables, a fried egg, and beef over rice with mild sweet chili sauce. The seafood pancake was also small but tasty, though I wished it contained more seafood, as it felt a bit carb-heavy. Service was attentive and friendly, ventilation was good, as there were other tables with BBQ lunches, and the atmosphere was good, with a traditional Korean mural and clean tables. I will definitely come back and try their popular Korean BBQ combo next time.

Gogiville is located in Centreville, surrounded by about 10 other KBBQs within a 2-mile radius, but it stands out as one of the best in the area. One thing to note is that this restaurant is not all-you-can-eat, but they do offer prix-fixe combos based on group size. I prefer Gogiville over AYCE places, as I value the quality of the meats here more than the quantity you get elsewhere. The meats are juicy, tender, and of excellent quality. Gogiville is usually not too crowded, so it's easier to get a table, and the atmosphere is generally quieter, making it easier to enjoy a conversation with your group--unlike some other places. The manager, James, is incredibly friendly and always remembers us, even though our visits are sometimes spaced out. His exceptional service, along with the staff at Gogiville, is another reason we keep coming back. I highly recommend Gogiville over the other KBBQs in Centreville. If you go, definitely try Combo 3: Brisket, Short Rib, Cube Rib, and Rib Fingers. If not, make sure to try the Cube Rib!

It was almost a 5/5 experience until the very end. My family came in around 5:45 pm on a Friday, and thankfully it wasn't busy yet, but it quickly got crowded in less than an hour. We got the GV Combo 1, which included the brisket, unmarinated pork belly, and prime ribeye. The brisket wasn't anything too special, but the pork belly despite being really thick, was surprisingly good! The prime ribeye was very tender and juicy. We also ordered the mool naengmyun and bibim naengmyun as we were cooking up the last round of meat, but as soon as we put in the order, the server immediately threw the check down on our table. Our naengmyuns weren't even out, so it threw us off guard a bit. Overall, the food is good quality, but the service can definitely improve. The amount of food you get is also a bit small for the price you pay.

My family and I come here often. I love their unlimited side dishes and for us the combo for 3 people is just the perfect portion size. The service is great, they cook the meat for you and check in very frequently so it's easy getting side dishes and drinks refilled. It's always busy when I go so I also associate it and enjoy all the conversation and bustling energy in the air.

I love this place! My husband and I have come twice for date night, and everything was delicious both times! We ordered the Korean seafood pancake, and combo 3 for two people, which included thinly sliced brisket + Soy marinated short ribs + Seasoned cube ribs + Seasoned or Unseasoned Rib Fingers. We also added a naengmyun as well. Everything was delicious! The meats were all super tender and well-marinated. The Korean seafood pancake was crispy and delicious, and the naengmyun was a nice cool addition to complement everything. The service was fantastic! Everyone is so helpful and was always great checking in on us. Price is reasonable for a Korean BBQ with good meat. There is plenty of parking. Highly recommend and plan to come back!

Korean BBQ fired up at the table seems to be the trend now, and Gogiville is just that. Gogiville has a set price preset bundles of different types of meats. We chose combo #3, beef combo. The first 2 meats, brisket and short rib, were high quality, very tender, loved them! The next 2 were a bit chewy. Overall not the best but not bad either. I appreciate that it is not all you can eat at a high price, I prefer better portions. I wish we could choose what 4 meats we wanted rather than have preset assortments. UPDATE: Got a response from the manager, and found out YOU CAN swap meats in the combo for something else. That is great to hear!

    Ask the Community - Gogiville

Are you open for outdoor dining yet?

There were no tables outside the restaurant building during winter time. I suspect that outdoor dining would not be possible due to the presence of a grille at each dining table.

    Is it AYCE?

No, but we do offer combo menus that offer good portion size for the parties.

The pricing was a little expensive on the kids side ($20 each) for my toddlers and they definitely did not eat $20 worth. This is a review for all people who have been going to Meat Project for a while now and new people…read morewho are interested. Tonight, it was our usual outing as a family to Meat Project for their all you can eat meat and great affordable price. However, our family was very disappointed in the overall service, quality of side dishes and meat, and the owner and server with how they treated us. We ordered couple different meats like pork belly, brisket, and gopchang. We decided to order some lettuce wraps for our meat, which is a common and delicious Korean tradition and combo to wrap with our meat with a special Korean sauce called ssamjang that make the perfect bite everytime. However, after waiting for 45 minutes, while we were eating our meat, our lettuce wraps were being delayed. Now we are fine with waiting but the issue was that our main server told us multiple times when we questioned about the extended delay that our lettuce wraps were "coming out soon" and "the kitchen was preparing it". After the 45 minutes, we decided that since we were basically almost full with our appetites, and coming to a Korean traditional meat BBQ restaurant, we couldn't miss eating it the way we expected, the owner was called so that we could try to get a better explanation and figure out why this was a first time issue for us. The owner who was a Korean woman, advised to us that they had run out of lettuce and they had deliberately rushed to buy more. However, when the "lettuce wraps" we ordered finally came out on our table, it was romaine lettuce which was cut in very thin strips, clearly not suitable for wrapping meat and other veggies and sauce included. The owner then explained to us they had accidentally bought the wrong type of lettuce and apologized the inconvenience. additionally, our main server/waiter was also very delayed in bringing us other side dishes and meat that we requested at a suitable time for us to enjoy, which added to us losing our appetite even further, which we decided even then to let this slide as we could see it was a busy night. After all of this back and forth, the service manager, our waiter, our host, and the owner of the restaurant never managed to apologize to us for making a mistake on their ends, and how they had been informing us incorrectly that the lettuce was "coming out soon". The owner then decided to let us know that we were free to leave, advised us that we didn't need to pay our bill, and never come back again with the most utmost horrendous and unprofessional attitude, making us look like we were the in the wrong. This was clearly a bad night for us after this outcome, after coming here regularly as frequent customers. We warn all of those families who frequent this location. I promise you that I would never go this far , and I guarantee you I am not the type of person to be a Karen, but this simply could not just slide. As a Korean family, we are truly disappointed.

At that time, only parking was at Emerick Elementary School, but there's also closer parking at the community center lot. I actually opted to park in a residential neighborhood, as the street was closer to the event. Well, good thing is dogs are allowed. And I remember it was a "rain or shine" event, which was good, seeing as how it certainly was drizzling at the time -- and likely had rained well before then. A lot of food trucks at the event, in the Fireman's Field area. I beheld a Fords Fish Shack truck, one for a pizza I'd never heard of, and some kind of southern or soul food. No idea of anything, and kinda glad I saw the food truck for the "What the Heck BBQ" at last. This was my first time ordering something here, so at the food truck I just asked for popular choices, and went to knock 'em both out. Brisket and Pulled Pork topped the list, so I got a 2-meats plate with them both, and with flavored Mac and Cheese and Texas Baked BBQ Beans on the side. Packed three small cups of BBQ sauce, one regular and the others of the spicy variant. Ate out at one of the lone picnic tables near the entrance to the park. It was a nice afternoon and the rain had stopped. The brisket was good and so was the pulled pork. I liked the sides more than the main dish, for some reason. Mac and cheese was heavenly but prob had a lot of calories packed in. BBQ beans were spot on, and complimented the meat with their own BBQ sauces. All in all, a close home run and well done for what was essentially a to-go order -- yeah, planning was not outstanding. All in all, great food truck selling barbecue meat and foods.
