First off, gogiville was so kind and let me reserve all of the tables in the patio, so I had a big private space. I was pleasantly surprised my Gogiville! The inside is nicely decorated with cute string lights, gives some Korea vibes. The servers do a great job adjusting the vent so it isn't too smoky. Everyone was approachable and our server did well cooking and bringing us everything we asked for. We always get Combo 3, which comes with thinly sliced brisket (차돌박이), soy-marinated short ribs (양념갈비), seasoned cube rib (깍두기 주물럭), and unseasoned rib fingers (생늑간살), and the staff cook every single cut perfectly! The service here is outstanding. You don't have to ring the bell to get their attention. They come by your able and make sure everything is just right, incredibly attentive throughout the meal. We went on a random weekday (not that busy thankfully) and the service was top notch. There were only 2 waiters but they were very attentive and were very clear in what was being served. I used to not really like cold buckwheat noodles that much, and I wouldn't order it for myself, but gogiville changed me. Not sure where my previous review went for Gogiville (we came here when they had just opened), but we were craving for some KBBQ, and we decided to give Gogiville another try. We ordered a la carte of the following: +Chadolbaegi - thinly-sliced brisket - more fatty than the usual +Ggotsahl - bottom sirloin triangle (that's limited); this seemed to have good marbling, but the meat was tough +Yangmyum Galbi - marinated short ribs; there was too much cartilage and the marinade was too sweet; we made the mistake of ordering 2 of these Since we ordered 4 a la carte orders, this came with a choice of 3 sides - we opted for one of each: dwengjang guk (which I liked out of the 3), steamed egg, and corn cheese (haphazardly made; could have been mixed and prepared better). Our server was super friendly, but they were also tag-teaming, so when we requested for certain meats to be cooked to a specific temperature, there was no communication between them so we had to constantly repeat ourselves. In addition, the cooking of the meat seemed a bit on the amateur end; most of our meats were overcooked (kind of upset with the ggotsahl, since that's an expensive cut of meat - this ended up tough and not enjoyable. The galbi, which is usually my preferred meat choice, was just not good - it was filled with cartilage, and the marinade was super sweet with not much flavor to it. Not sure if it was not marinated enough or what, but this was forgettable. In terms of the sides, I did like the spicy fishcake the best; you could always request extra refills, so don't be shy. If you're curious about the different sauces, they have bottles of them at each table. I prefer the ssahmjang, so be sure to request that separately. For the price point and the lack of quality of meats that were served, we didn't find this place to be of value. My wife searched to see which Korean BBQ restaurant in the area was the most affordable. It was between Gogiville and Meokja Meokja. We chose Gogiville because it was closer to our hotel. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a server who walked us to our table. Immediately, our waitress came over with our banchan. The first thing I noticed when entering the restaurant was how smokey it smelled. The fans were on though, according to our waitress, who was super nice and friendly.
