    Family wanted to celebrate a Birthday and we have never been here. Easy parking, nice location (little weird on access), but easy enough. Set-up inside was nice, it has a lot of seating areas, seemed like plenty of Staff, an despite being busy we were seated quickly. Our Waiter was awesome, got us started with drinks and table was already laid out with utensils and dipping sauces. The menu is accessed through a QR Code so us older folks struggled at first, but figured it out. Our Cousin handled the ordering, she was impressed with how quickly the meat arrived & the amount. She ordered a lot to start because other places she said brings out small portions to avoid waste. There is a sign that states "$10 charge per person" for too much waste. Which was cool with us, I agree, punish those that mismanaged appetite with food requested- LOL. Bring on the Meats Loved the Meats, the Sauces, Salads, everything was delicious. They exchanged out the grills as needed and kept everything flowing. The manager/boss (not sure) brought out a desert with a candle along with Happy Birthday music which was really nice. Made the dinner extra special. On your way out you can grab some ice-cream if you have any room left. There is also a nice little path around a pond behind the restaurant to walk off some of excess meat you just devoured. Definitely on our to be revisited spots !!! Only complaint is that the men's restroom needs some work, it has two of everything, but only one of each works. Way too many meat eating men to have a shortage of stalls- LOL

    It was $35 pp for the ayce menu. The brisket and bulgogi were my absolute favorites here with the brisket just taking the slight edge. The meat tasted great and of a better quality. They only brought one meat out at a time and would swap up grates once the meat made it burnt. Staff would also help cut and cook some of the meats. My only complaint was the kimchi just being ok. For the price you have a lot of things to try and eat, so definitely being a small group of friends. Overall a good Korean bbq spot that I would gladly come back to. Food(50%): 8.5 Staff/service(25%): 8.5 Value(25%): 8.5 Overall: 8.5/10

    It's $35 PP for AYCE Korean BBQ. The menu has a good selection of meat options. Pricing is comparable for the area but the quality of the meats was underwhelming. The service was lacking. We walked in at 5pm and the place was not busy at all; yet we weren't helped for 10 minutes. Also; the waiter who serviced us; left the meats unattended for long periods of time and I had to attend to the grilling myself half the night. Also when he was putting the meats on the grill; he did it haphazardly and the sauces splashed onto my sweater. The venue itself is spacious with two dining areas. Plenty of tables and seating. Just FYI; the floors are super slippery. I almost slipped twice getting to the bathroom.

    I'm a big fan of Meat Project and their $35 PP AYCE KBBQ THAT INCLUDES DELICIOUSLY & AUTHENTICALLY MARINATED KALBI (the most premium meat cut you won't find on any AYCE menu anywhere else, no lie).... ....BUT NOT THIS CENTREVILLE LOCATION. HANDS DOWN, NO CONTEST, by wayyyyyy far, the newer MUCH NICER FAIRFAX LOCATION is sooo much better than this one. What an absolute disappointment this Centreville location is. Truly disappointing. The menu at both locations is the same, the pricing is the same. What I like about Meat Project is - pretty much the only thing on the menu is their $35 PP AYCE. That's it. Very focused, simple, no other menu item distractions, easy peasy, no muss no fuss. The icing on the cake (here and also Fairfax) with having a 1-item menu is that it INCLUDES KALBI. You won't find that anywhere else - I've searched. All other KBBQ AYCE places offer kalbi for an additional charge or to order separately a la carte (and it ain't cheap, that's for sure!). To boot, there are NO RESTRICTIONS ON HOW MANY ROUNDS OF KALBI YOU CAN ASK FOR - totally AYCE. And the kalbi is actually really tasty. Well seasoned and marinated, authentic Korean flavors, mouth watering tender cuts. I will say that the quality of the marinated kalbi cuts, while good at this Centreville location, are better at the Fairfax location. But even the $35 pp price point for AYCE that includes kalbi can't elevate this Centreville location up from 2 stars sadly. And it's alllllll due to how divey imo and sooo uninviting, "cold" and unwelcoming feeling the interior of the restaurant is. We just did not like the ambiance and the vibe at all - the food and service were fine but the setting was way off and detracted from what would have been a much more pleasant dining experience. Party of 3 - we went early like 530PM on a Sunday night so we wouldn't have to potentially wait for a table (no reservs accepted). When we arrived, it was actually pretty busy but we were able to get one of the last open 4-tops available without signing in on the waitlist. When you walk inside, the whole restaurant is sectioned off into 2 very strangely laid out dining areas. There's a wide hallway like waiting area and on either side of the waiting area are the 2 distinctly sectioned off dining areas. The area on the left side is closed off with a glass wall/partition with a door leading into the space - almost like a totally separate, but much nicer part of the restaurant. We were told that area is for large parties. (Note: Parties of 5+ (they count your kids too) are hit with an automatic 20% tip.) The other (right) "side" of the restaurant has all 4 top tables - with chairs that were super basic and very uncomfortable. We DID have an amazing server. An older Korean lady who was fantastic - she was super attentive, brought each round of meat out very quickly (but never made us feel rushed). She was an expert griller and knew her stuff - she cooked our kalbi (3 rounds) and bulgogi (2 rounds - also well seasoned and marinated and delicious!) to perfection. Mouth wateringly delish! No complaints about service. Couple other things I liked about the AYCE meal: * As I just said, this place helps you grill your meats - LOVE not having to do it ourselves. * I love that they have the larger rectangular grills instead of the round black teflon ones that most KBBQ places have. Much easier to grill meats on the larger bbq surface. * We never had to ask for them to change out our grill pan - they did that almost with every new round of meat they brought out. * The portion sizes of meat brought out each round was plentiful. Not too much that it would overwhelm the grill pan but not a tiny portion where each person would only get a nibble. * No hesitation with them happily bringing out round after round after round of meats to grill...and all in a timely manner. * Unlimited rice, soups, corn cheese, banchan and sides - they all come with the $35 pp AYCE. * LOVE that you can get a pitcher of draft beer - $24 - I'd say these days, that's a good deal! But overall, Meat Project Centreville still gets a 2 star from me because the whole vibe, ambiance and inside aesthetic totally threw off our dining experience - thus, that was our first AND LAST time coming to this location. I wanted to try out this Centreville location for comparison and even just driving up to the building, my spidey senses went off... MEAT PROJECT FAIRFAX IS WHERE IT'S AT AND WORTH THE DRIVE EVEN IF THIS CENTREVILLE LOCATION IS CLOSER. TRUST ME.

    I'm back to eating at restaurants! My 2 week craving for dine-in eateries led me to Asian cuisine! First stop: meat heaven Meat Project is a place we used to frequent but since they opened a couple of Loudoun BBQ we have missed Meat Project. Coming on a Friday afternoon after the lunch crowd was the best decision. No wait, easy parking and excellent service. The AYCE is $35 and gives lots of options including several beef options (other AYCE places do not give many beef options. We rarely chose chicken or pork so beef and seafood is our go-to and this place delivered. I love that they ask you what sides we wanted. Since we don't eat the soup or the egg, we didn't waste. The corn cheese and the fresh salad is our fave. The mini apps had all my favorites and they offered multiple seconds. The steak, brisket and bulgogi were very good. The shrimp is deveined and headless. My only complaint is that I was not a fan of the dipping sauce. They were like hot sauces and I missed the salt/pepper sesame oil. Service was really good. Our server knew not to interior me as I prefer to cook and cut my own meat. Kudos to their attentiveness. Love having the place almost to ourselves.

    I had high hopes for Meat Project in Centreville, especially after hearing great things about the Fairfax location, but unfortunately, my experience was not satisfying. All the meats, including the spicy pork belly, bulgogi, and steak, were seasoned very sweetly, and surprisingly, all the marinades tasted almost the same. The quality was fine but the flavors were really lacking. The egg was good, but the corn cheese was a major letdown. It needed more time to roast and ended up grainy with the cheese separating into granules--definitely not the texture you expect from corn cheese. The banchan (side dishes) also didn't seem fresh and didn't really complement the meat in any meaningful way. The service was great and the server helped a ton grilling the meat for us and the restaurant was huge with abundant seating. Having tried authentic K-BBQ in Korea and multiple K-BBQ spots in Northern VA and, this place didn't live up to expectations. The price felt too high at $35 for the quality of food served, especially when compared to other options. Maybe this was an off day, or this location just doesn't match up to the others.

    $30pp for AYCE KBBQ?? Say less. My friend and I stopped by for a very late dinner (like almost 10 PM) and Meat Project was one of the few restaurants (most were KBBQ, lol) that were still open this Saturday evening. I've heard good things about the food here for a couple years now, so I was pretty excited (and hungry). Upon seating, all the banchan and water were already set up. Since we were very hungry, we immediately started eating. The kimchi was pretty standard, but I was a fan of the mashed potatoes (had some sour cream to it?), beansprouts, and japchae. Our server explained that we were allowed to pick three meats and two sides every time we ordered. If it's your first time, I'd recommend trying a bunch of different things. Since it was my friend and I's first time and it was just the two of us, we were only able to try five different meats and three different sides before we called it a day. For the sauces, we asked for ssamjang and sesame oil & salt (the two you need for all KBBQ) along with the four sauces they have, as well. To be honest, it was hard to tell the differences between the four sauces. I just remember the light green one to be creamy and spicy. BEEF BRISKET Good, but super fatty -- a lot fattier than other beef briskets I had. Definitely worth getting, though. This was our first meat so we ate it so quickly. DRY-AGED RIBEYE STEAK OK, this ended up looking the exact same as the galbi after it was cooked and cut into pieces. However, it's drier/tougher compared to the galbi. I'd skip this in the future. GALBI (SHORT RIB) This was my friend and I's favorite out of the five we tried. The galbi was tender and flavorful. Went well with the ssamjang and sesame oil & salt. We'd recommend this for sure, and it's also one of our server's favorites. BULGOGI Marinade was a bit overwhelming for me and some slices were pretty hard to chew. Overall, it was good and the slices were thin. HONEY BUTTER SQUID Our server recommended this because it's one of his favorites. I didn't end up eating any because there was cilantro, but it seemed like my friend enjoyed it! SOYBEAN SOUP My friend enjoyed this, but I wasn't able to try it this time around. STEAMED EGG So good (flavor wise) and relatively fluffy. It hit the spot. I ate the entire thing and wanted another one, but had to save my stomach for more meat. I'd get this again, 100%. CORN CHEESE My friend and I liked and also did not like this. The flavor was super creamy (not just cheese, but lots of mayo) so it was on the more liquid-side, instead of stringy with a nice pull if it was more cheese-based. I'd still recommend trying. Overall, our server was very attentive and consistently checked in on us to see if we needed more meat or sides. He cooked our meats very thoroughly. The portions were on the smaller side, but that's to be expected for AYCE. He also recommends the pork belly here, which I'd have to try next time because I really wasn't feeling it this time. The interior of Meat Project was clean, spacious, and on the modern side.

    One of my favorite KBBQ places to eat in the DMV. You can do no wrong with Meat Project. For $30 a person, you order options of pork, beef, chicken, seafood, and even sides ! My friend and I stopped for dinner after a convention and it was definitely worth the drive honestly. When we sat down after a short wait, we were greeted at the table with banchan and water already to go. Our waiter was very nice and asked us for our three meats/two sides. Normally I opt for the brisket, thinly sliced pork belly, and the spicy bulgogi. I honestly feel like those are pretty common at any KBBQ you go to and is a good test to see if the food is really good. For the banchan, you get kimchi, potato salad, bean sprouts, and some japchae. I think you get a small amount because not many people go for it and just dig straight into the cooked meat which makes sense. But it's there if you want more. My favorite sides here are the steamed egg and the corn cheese. Steamed Egg, an absolute classic. I do not walk away from a KBBQ place without eating 1 or 2 of these. The corn cheese, while not really super cheesy, it's delicious and for a small amount I have to order 1-2 times as well. I also do like the soybean soup but I don't think it's spicy at all. Other places give you the same soup with a stronger kick for spice. My favorite meats to get are Thinly Sliced Pork Belly, Brisket, Dry-Aged Ribeye Steak, Gopchang, Galbi, Red Wine Pork Belly, and Spicy Chicken. I would definitely come here when it's not on a weekend night, then your experience might vary. I personally think the wait is always worth it despite how packed it is. Expect lots of sounds everywhere, KBBQ is just a great place to socialize and eat meat. If you just want a more intimidate experience, go in the afternoon or so in my opinion. Will I come back? Of course! I love this KBBQ place and SO KBBQ! They are my go to AYCE KBBQ options in Centerville.

    Always come here for special occasions and it's always good food and service. They even gave us some frozen treats afterwards.

After ordering, we were served six different banchans, all of which were incredibly homey -- light and not too savory. My favorites were the acorn jelly (which was mixed with salted seaweed and sesame seeds) and the white kimchi. Honestly, all six were really solid. AL TANG - 19.99 Super savory with lots of "sea sweetness" and umami, this stew was rich and piping hot upon arrival. I've never had al tang before, but have heard great things about it. Unfortunately, I didn't love the texture of fish roe (kind of reminded me of the texture of cooked chicken lungs). By the end of the stew, I thought it was too salty, so I didn't end up finishing it. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but I probably won't get it again. My friend got the mackerel which he loved. I'll look forward to other items on the menu next time.

The spicy marinade on the pork was flavorful and the meat itself was tender and cooked just right. As for the Donkatsu, it was absolutely huge! A big piece of pork cutlet fried nicely let me in a food coma. The Service: Service was great. I ordered at the kiosk to see pictures of some of the food items, but you can order at the front as well. Food came out within a reasonable of time as well. They have a area for utensils/water and another area for you to bring your dirty plates after you're done, so that was nice. The Atmosphere: Spacious with plenty of seating. It pretty clean inside decorated with Asia/Kpop decor.
