We checked out Unlimeat on a Saturday late afternoon, and it was still buzzing--always a good sign. They do take reservations (which I recommend), and when we arrived our table for six was ready to go. Fair warning: the table setup is a little tight--especially when the guys take up 80% of the real estate. At one point I think the grill had more elbow room than we did That said, the experience really shines where it matters. The service was fantastic--fully attentive without being overbearing. Our server (a woman whose name I unfortunately forgot) was incredibly on point. We didn't have to ask once for refills on the complimentary banchan--they just kept appearing right when we needed them. She somehow kept perfect pace with our very serious meat consumption. We went with the premium package ($58 per person), which also includes the essentials. Our mission was clear: try as many cuts of beef as possible--especially ribeye--and we stayed committed. No time (or stomach space) left for chicken or pork. Priorities! We did try the butter lemon bay scallops... honestly, that's probably a skip next time. Not bad, just not worth the grill space when the beef is that good. All the sides were fresh, especially the greens, which balanced out the meat-heavy feast nicely. Location-wise, it's super easy to find--right across from Captain Pells--and there's shared parking in the strip mall, which wasn't an issue. We got a quick impromptu reservation on a Sat night when we couldn't go where we'd had originally wanted. The parking here is very limited, there's a row of spots but hard to find as you're competing whit other stores along the line. So keep that in mind! The restaurant itself is styled like a normal kbbq place, normal dark themes and music with a lot of metal furnishings, a good place for friends to hangout! The waitstaff was very kind when we had arrived and it was easy to check in an get our table. However, it did take a little bit of time for us to be greeted and waited on. Our waitress was friendly and helpful for our first time, a little slow with the water refills, but tolerable. The food. We had gotten the regular/basic menu, cause if you can't do the basics right, why pay for the premium? Unfortunately the meats itself was a bit disappointing. The bulgogi didn't have very much flavor and wasn't marinated very well, rating it a 2/5 The pineapple bulgogi, I had hope could redeem the basic bulgogi with flavor, however, it was still the same, not much flavor and couldn't really tell the sweetness of the pineapple or flavor. Also 2/5 The brisket was decent, a bit on the chewer end of things, a bit gristly for my taste, but not too bad. 3/5 The Spicy Pork belly was probably the highlight of the meats, great taste and tenderness! 4.5/5 As for the side dishes, we didn't get much cause you gotta fill up with the meats! But their steamed egg was amazing 5/5, amazingly fluffy and bouncy and good flavor! Also their soybean soup was surprisingly great as well, good flavor and spice with the veggies cooked perfectly! 4.5/5 Overall, kind of disappointed with the basics, the premium meats DID look great and perhaps I'll go back to give it a try, but, the basics!!! My fav was the rib finger or short rib steak. (The one in pic with lovely marbling)^^ Pork jowl was good too. Didn't care much for the marinated beef cuts, which is strange since it's usually my fav. This was the first time coming back since they changed. We got there on an early night on a Saturday and we got a table right away. The server was fantastic with all his knowledge. The long list of sides was cool and love a good corn cheese. The scallops had so much butter in them it was probably too much. The fatty brisket and spicy bulgogi were probably the best ones. The spicy pork belly and zicoba chicken were the only dishes made in the back kitchen and they were good. It is an alright ayce kbbq place. read more

We never went to the previous restaurant here Qui, but were told the menu and setup is almost exactly the same. Not sure of the quality before, but Unlimeat was not it. We went on a week night and there was no wait; about half the restaurant was occupied. Had a feeling the meal was not going to be good given the ban chan set on the table all tasted off. The meat quality was not worth it - brisket was chewy and pork belly was too fat. All the sides seem to have a ton of sugar in it, including the steamed egg, which we have never seen before. Not sure if the sugar in every dish is a filler since this is an AYCE but would not return. read more

My daughter made reservations for 4 people. My daughter and I were late, but the restaurant seated the other participants. This is an all you can eat Korean bbq restaurant. We ordered from the premium side of the menu, and paid $58 per person plus tax. We spent the full allotted time at Unlimeat. Service was not always smooth. I ordered the lettuce platter twice, and it was never brought. I had to request items more than once. The meats were fresh. We ordered beef only. We tried the ribeye, short ribs, rib fingers, rib steak, and the LA galbi. For sides we tried the steamed egg (2), edamame, rice, and a corn cheese. I had a barley tea, but it was a tea bag. The young lady came by and said it was last call, and the manner that it was said, made us all feel uncomfortable. The grilled were replaced as needed. They've changed their name and menu structure, but the food is more or less the same. They have 2 options for AYCE with a good variety of meats, sides, and other dishes. Our favorite meat used to be the galbi, but when we went, it was not marinated, so we were really disappointed. Otherwise, the options we got were solid. Our fave things to order: ~FATTY brisket (5/5) ~LA Galbi (when marinated) ~Pork Jowl (5/5) ~Spicy Pork Belly (4/5) ~Beef Radish Soup (5/5) ~Soybean Soup (4/5) ~Steamed egg (4/5): they do it in the stone pot again instead of the foil! ~Fried Rice Cake (4/5): biased because I just love rice cakes Sometimes it gets very busy and the servers can be overwhelmed, so be patient or know that you might have to cook your own meat at times. In speaking with my server, it seems management has made some changes that have brought in more diners. As an example, the lunch special is new, and that's just what I came for. FOOD Unlimeat KBBQ took over Qui's previous spot in Fairfax. Some of Qui's original decor remains inside while the restaurant transitions. The menu and pricing are quite similar to Qui's, with the "Essential" dinner option priced at $36 per person and the premium option at $56. There was one noticeable difference in that Unlimeat includes some complimentary sides, such as lettuce wraps and instant ramen, which Qui charged extra for. Overall, I found Qui's dining experience and meat quality slightly better, but Unlimeat is still a solid option--especially with their $22-per-person lunch deal--if you're in the Fairfax area. DRINKS Various sodas, alcoholic drinks, and mocktails are available for purchase, though we didn't get any this time around. Complimentary water is available. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly! AMBIANCE The interior is clean and tidy. The lights are dimmed for a cozier/more intimate dining experience. The fans do a great job of removing smoke from the grill. A bit on the pricier end because the better tasting meats are on their Premium AYCE menu! Their meats are very juicy, very tender, very yummy! We went with friends who had frequented The Qui (previous restaurant) and told us that the quality of Unlimeat was so much better. We thoroughly enjoyed the Rib Fingers, LA Galbi, and Pork Belly. Service was super quick, our waiter made sure we had everything we needed to have a good time there. Only complaint was that their beef brisket was a bit tough and dry, more on the leaner side. Their sides are pretty good too, not common sides that I'd usually see from other kbbq places, like buldak, chapagetti, gyoza, and karaage. My friend recommended their Buldak Carbonara, which came in a huge black bowl LOL. I saw this place on social media many times and was enticed to try. My fiance and I went for lunch and we were happily surprised. The options included in the lunch menu were extensive, including seafood options. We started out with fatty brisket which was more flavorful than the regular and we tried the thin pork belly, cumin pork belly, garlic butter scallops and pork collar. The meat were appropriately portioned for two of us and all seemed very fresh. The grill had a method of sucking up the smoke so neither of us walked out smelling heavily of bbq. Their sides were also extensive, there were two soups (both were tried), rice, lettuce platter, soufflé egg and many others. I personally liked the beef radish soup, very peppery and light while my spouse enjoyed the soybean soup. The egg was so fluffy and did not deflate as quickly. Our server was the only one on the floor managing 3 tables and he brought things out timely. The corn cheese was the only thing that was lacking, it was too watery and the cheese and corn didn't blend. Overall, it was good for the price and we would come again for lunch. read more

I tried nearly all the KBBQ spots in NOVA, and the here's what happens to all of them. They start out great, and after a few successful months/years the quality goes down and it's not the same anymore. Fortunately, this falls into the new KBBQ spots and I absolutely loved it here. Probably my new favorite KBBQ spot as of August 2025. The quality of the meat from the beef brisket, to the thick-cut pork belly was excellent. Basic plan is $36/pp while premium is $56/pp. We got the basic plan. My 3 favorite cuts were: Beef brisket - always a staple, can't go wrong here. It's real beef brisket unlike some cheap AYCE's that opt for a leaner substitute. Thick-cut pork belly - had great layers of meat and fat, more on the meaty side so definitely great quality Spicy pork bulgogi - Usually I don't like seasoned meat, but the marination was on point with this, so I thoroughly enjoyed this meat What makes kbbq great is obviously good quality meat and the SIDES! The steamed egg was delicious and the soybean soup (dwenjjang jiggae) was surprisingly good for an AYCE. It's cool how they offer ramen (buldak, carbonara, and chapagetti) as side dishes as part of the meal, so we got to split one. It's slightly on the more expensive side in terms of AYCE KBBQ's, but the quality of the meat and the great side dishes make the price point okay. Next time I come here, and if I'm hungry enough, I want to try the premium option since the pictures of the meat from the other reviewers have great marbling. Until then...! ps - don't get the cumin pork belly. That was horrid, that should be off the menu. I only got it cause everything we had was good so I was like why not try this?
