We decided to come try out Unlimeat. I think they used to be Qui Korean. I'm not sure if it's just new Management but either way we enjoyed ourselves. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to be seated and the service was great. The rib eye and the short rib were such great quality. They also give a good amount of Banchan. We will def be back and recommend trying if in the area.

Ordered premium. Server was nice and attentive, but did forget some things here and there. Premium is pricey but they have a lot more beef cuts than other ayce spots. My fav was the rib finger or short rib steak. (The one in pic with lovely marbling)^^ Pork jowl was good too. Didn't care much for the marinated beef cuts, which is strange since it's usually my fav. Cold noodle was good too. But would prefer with Korean pear. Never had with tomato before. Definitely would go again. Next time maybe even try the basic ayce.

This KBBQ restaurant offers a good range of meats, including premium cuts for a higher AYCE price. The cumin pork belly may be a bit over seasoned, not our favorite. I love the large selection of side dishes. They have the usual egg, cheesy corn and soy bean soup. But there is also fried rice cake, kaarage, edamame, and several Korean instant noodles options. In general, we cooked our own meats. Staff was friendly.

We never went to the previous restaurant here Qui, but were told the menu and setup is almost exactly the same. Not sure of the quality before, but Unlimeat was not it. We went on a week night and there was no wait; about half the restaurant was occupied. Had a feeling the meal was not going to be good given the ban chan set on the table all tasted off. The meat quality was not worth it - brisket was chewy and pork belly was too fat. All the sides seem to have a ton of sugar in it, including the steamed egg, which we have never seen before. Not sure if the sugar in every dish is a filler since this is an AYCE but would not return.

First time here. Hostess/greeter was friendly and welcoming. Server Oscar from Kyrgyzstan was one of the best kbbq servers we've had. Overall staff are friendly '. Meat quality tasted pretty fresh and meaty and not too fatty. Also liked how there are many sides included in the ayce. Very nice fluffy steam egg. Would come back.

TL;DR: good AYCE options with various different meats, sides, and other dishes This place was formerly QUI, and this location was my favorite one. They've changed their name and menu structure, but the food is more or less the same. They have 2 options for AYCE with a good variety of meats, sides, and other dishes. Our favorite meat used to be the galbi, but when we went, it was not marinated, so we were really disappointed. Otherwise, the options we got were solid. Our fave things to order: ~FATTY brisket (5/5) ~LA Galbi (when marinated) ~Pork Jowl (5/5) ~Spicy Pork Belly (4/5) ~Beef Radish Soup (5/5) ~Soybean Soup (4/5) ~Steamed egg (4/5): they do it in the stone pot again instead of the foil! ~Fried Rice Cake (4/5): biased because I just love rice cakes Sometimes it gets very busy and the servers can be overwhelmed, so be patient or know that you might have to cook your own meat at times. This is our go-to for AYCE lately.

First checking this place out, as I never got to visit Qui before new management came and changed the name to Unlimeat. In speaking with my server, it seems management has made some changes that have brought in more diners. As an example, the lunch special is new, and that's just what I came for. At $22 a person, it's a steal of a deal. What caught my eye on the menu is how this place offers side items not typically offered at other Korean bbq places. Def check this place out. I'm gonna give the premium option a try next!

Overall cozy and smaller KBBQ spot with spacious tables and built in grills. Service was fine. No complaints. They were good about constantly checking in for placing additional orders. The meat was pretty good for an AYCE. The sauces were a little lacking and weren't my favorite. The sides were great (can't really mess up the packaged ramens though). The steamed egg was probably my favorite thing here since it was super fluffy. Corn cheese was my least favorite. Overall a decent spot. $35 for the essential is probably the highest I'll ever do for this.

FOOD Unlimeat KBBQ took over Qui's previous spot in Fairfax. Some of Qui's original decor remains inside while the restaurant transitions. The menu and pricing are quite similar to Qui's, with the "Essential" dinner option priced at $36 per person and the premium option at $56. There was one noticeable difference in that Unlimeat includes some complimentary sides, such as lettuce wraps and instant ramen, which Qui charged extra for. Overall, I found Qui's dining experience and meat quality slightly better, but Unlimeat is still a solid option--especially with their $22-per-person lunch deal--if you're in the Fairfax area. DRINKS Various sodas, alcoholic drinks, and mocktails are available for purchase, though we didn't get any this time around. Complimentary water is available. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly! AMBIANCE The interior is clean and tidy. The lights are dimmed for a cozier/more intimate dining experience. The fans do a great job of removing smoke from the grill. PARKING Limited parking is available in the plaza lot. You might have to wait a bit to snag a spot during mealtimes!

A bit on the pricier end because the better tasting meats are on their Premium AYCE menu! Their meats are very juicy, very tender, very yummy! We went with friends who had frequented The Qui (previous restaurant) and told us that the quality of Unlimeat was so much better. We thoroughly enjoyed the Rib Fingers, LA Galbi, and Pork Belly. Service was super quick, our waiter made sure we had everything we needed to have a good time there. Only complaint was that their beef brisket was a bit tough and dry, more on the leaner side. Their sides are pretty good too, not common sides that I'd usually see from other kbbq places, like buldak, chapagetti, gyoza, and karaage. My friend recommended their Buldak Carbonara, which came in a huge black bowl LOL. The portion size was enough to feed 2-3 people, and good to eat during the downtime in between meats and changing the grill hehe Overall a good experience, would come here again

Great food, amazing service. Cozy ambiance. We enjoyed our time in Unlimeat. Server was so nice. I got a margarita too. Everything was great.

Our server was awesome and recommended we try the "honey do" soju instead of white grape and it was really nice and smooth! The meat was awesome and everything was just delicious. We got the essential AYCE and I enjoyed all of it. Will be back!!

It was decent overall -- not the best I've had, but still worth a try. The highlight for me was the unique selection of sides that went beyond the usual banchan, which made the meal feel a bit more special. Meat quality was fine, though nothing too memorable. Just a heads up: this is definitely a place where you need to know how to grill for yourself -- the staff doesn't really guide you much. Overall, a solid spot if you want variety and enjoy handling the grill on your own.

You see, sometimes the quality does matter and quantity is something that is overrated. Meokja Meokja demonstrates that at times quality trumps quantity in Kbbq. The cuts of the meat were all very fresh. I especially enjoyed the beef brisket. It was very tender. A lot of the times at AYCE Kbbq, the beef brisket can be quite dry. Not the case here. The waitress cooked all of our food, which is something I haven't truly appreciated in a while. It does make the food a bit more enjoyable when I don't have to do all the work. This restaurant is not super big. It was already borderline packed despite that we went there right when it opened. My friend told me there is one time they waited almost an hour at 9PM. So I would definitely get here early to avoid a long wait. While I had always been a loyal fan of AYCE Kbbq, I have found myself over the recent years slowly being tipped over towards the a la carte territory. Meokja Meokja has been the tipping point that finally swayed me over. The price here is about the same as AYCE, but with better quality, and I don't feel like trash after finishing the meal. Overall, AYCE Kbbq can be a messy affair, but I felt very clean and satisfied after eating here. A very solid Kbbq meal that I haven't had in a while.

I truly adore Mission BBQ…read moreand their food, but my recent experience here left me feeling very frustrated and unheard as a customer. I have a food allergy, and whenever I order, I always let the cashier know. At most locations, the staff will notify the kitchen, and they take extra care to ensure items containing my allergen do not touch my plate, including changing their gloves when preparing my order. While I know there is always a small risk of cross-contamination anywhere, the BBQ is so good that I willingly take precautions and come prepared just in case. Unfortunately, the staff at this location seemed not to care at all. As I waited for my order, I watched them touch the food of multiple different orders using the exact same pair of gloved hands (e.g., they did not use utensils). Even if I didn't have an allergy, I found it to be gross. When I suspected they were about to prepare my food, I politely asked them to change their gloves. I received an audible huff and an eye roll in response. When I asked a question about how they seasoned their fries, they acted as though I was a massive inconvenience even though I was literally the only customer in line at that moment. Finally, when the employee went to open my food containers to verify the order, I had to stop them and say I could do it myself, as I no longer trusted that that staff member's un-changed gloves wouldn't contaminate my food boxes. I left feeling so frustrated. Management should retrain this location's staff on basic food safety and customer service, particularly of those with allergies.

Food was a mixed bag. We started with the yuk hae and mandu, which were solid but not particularly memorable. A note for the mandu was that it came out soggy and sat in water which was a bit disappointing for the price point. The meat quality was excellent though, with great marbling throughout the meal. The banchan leaned lighter in seasoning than I'm used to, but the broccoli and marinated quail eggs were standouts. I also appreciated the variety of salts served alongside the meats. My favorite was the volcanic salt! Service was where things fell short. We felt rushed or almost transaction for most of the meal, and it seemed like closing duties took priority over the guest experience. Tea refills took a while, banchan refills had to be requested multiple times, and there wasn't much guidance throughout the grilling experience. We had to ask what cuts we were eating and what each salt was. At this price point, I expect a little more storytelling and attention to detail. The grill also ran extremely hot, making it easy for some cuts to cook past our preferred temperature and constant smoke blew into the middle seat's face. A few tips: don't wear your nicest clothes because the ventilation isn't on the same level as Seoul Prime or Ingle. Make a reservation if you want a grill table, and don't be afraid to ask for banchan refills!! Would I come back for Korean BBQ? Probably not. I'd personally choose Seoul Prime or Ingle. That said, I saw several main dishes that looked promising, and I'd be open to giving the restaurant another shot. The foundation is there, but for the price and the hype, I think the overall experience needs a bit more refinement.
