I usually come in the afternoon so the crispy pork is always sold out. The BBQ pork is a little too sweet for me. I love the chicken with the ginger scallion oil! It's very moist and I love the smooth skin. There is usually quite a wait so be prepared for that. There are a lot of seats in the food court to eat at after.

Of all the places I tried on my trip to the DC area, this is the only meal I think about. This is probably one of the best roast duck I've had. The duck was so juicy and fatty, and the skin was crispy. I took my friend who lives around the area and she enjoyed it as well. I love pairing the duck with a Yi Fang fruit tea that's in the same plaza.

I grew up on Cantonese food. We happen to stumble across this mall and was immediately drawn to the duck and roast pork hanging in the glass case. We tried the char siu, roast pork and roast duck over rice. This trio was some of the best we've eaten in a while! We ordered take out and will be back again!

Very popular and usually almost or already sold out near their closing time. I like the soy sauce dip and ginger/ garlic dip they give with the bbq chasiu pork. Maybe next time I'll ask for the fattier pieces? I don't like it too fatty but although the marinade was good, most of the pieces felt too dry for me

Cantonese bbq is probably of my favorite things from China. I'm from NYC, so we are spoiled with a plethora of places serving this and much cheaper. I was so happy to come across this place while I was in the area recently. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located in a very nice food court inside the Great Wall Supermarket. I went late in the afternoon and ordered the char sui and duck combo. Don't forget to ask them for the garlic scallion sauce, which is a must. It was so delicious and reminded me of what I remember getting from Chinatown in Manhattan. The pork and duck were so tender and perfectly seasoned. The meat was served over a generous portion of rice and steamed Napa cabbage.

Took my dad here as he likes duck and char sue. The meat was cooked well and the combo boxes came with a good portion of meats and rice. The lady behind the counter was kind and she was efficient at getting us our meals. Seating is available in the food court area with tables and chairs.

If I could give 100*, i would because yings Cantonese bbq is absolutely worth every penny. The food from here has not failed anytime we've gone. From a lunch rice plate to a large order for a holiday event, their service and quality is top notch. We absolutely love their roasted pig and char siu. Their rice plate comes with a heaping serving of your protein choice and a sauteed vegetable of their choice. Some days it's bok choy, other days it's cabbage. Roast pig has a crispy crunchy skin and salty savory meat. The char siu is wonderful with rice, we sometimes order a lb to bring home for noodle soup. If you order by the lb, they go by full lbs. So no half pound. Everyone is really nice and really just wants you to have a fantastic meal. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! We got the crispy skin pork and bbq pork and roast duck. They were phenomenal! The folks at the counter move through and get everything chopped and packaged quick. There was a line but it moved steadily.

Char siu with Gai Lan Choi and rice! Love comfort Chinese food!

I absolutely LOVE getting my bbq fix here!! Located inside Great Wall in Fairfax, come early to get the meats you like. I always order 2 lbs of char siu and 2 lbs of siu yuk (crispy pork). Sometimes I order the duck too for special occasions. The service is quick and they always weigh the meat in front of you! I found out that they take reservation calls a week prior to lunar new year for pick ups! I went after 12 noon to purchase some food, but they had a long order of take outs! It is very busy and popular! It's my go to spot for the tastiest meats!!

    Crispy roast pork box.

If you have never tried this place it is essential that you do. Get there early and get the crispy roast pork. Thank me later.

Probably some of the best Cantonese style bbq around! Located in Great Wall supermarket food court in Fairfax. I opted for the crispy roast pork and char siu bbq pork. The crispy roast pork was tender/crispy and not too fatty and the char siu was flavorful. I do enjoy that the meats are relatively hot and not room temperature compared to other Cantonese bbq spots.

Tried the duck and it was cold, very greasy, sauce watery, and there was not a single piece that wasn't mostly bone.

The service carts come around quickly and the hosts/staff are consistently friendly. My favorite dishes are the shrimp har gow, crab claw balls, roasted duck, the shrimp stuffed eggplant, and egg tarts --probably the best egg tarts in the area. My kids love their baked pork buns to the point they can tell when I buy it from somewhere else lol. We've dined at plenty of other dim sum spots, but this remains as a consistent top contender for me. Note: the ambiance is casual but I've been to many events hosted here and it makes for a great canvas to portray beautiful decor.

We were like the food must be good lol When we got our food it was pretty cold. Which is weird cause they just opened. During our meal we hear screaming. It was 2 employees yelling at each other. My friends are Vietnamese and were saying that they were yelling about gambling money. It was pretty annoying and I could tell my friends were uncomfortable. But at the end is where it got really uncomfortable and awkward. The food and service was not good. So I tipped 15 percent. I should have tipped nothing but that's not me and I was in the service industry so i understand everyone has a day off. The, I assume manager or owner came up to the table and told me I'm required to tip 18 percent. I said where does it say that? He says on the receipt. I told him that says suggestions not required and that I could give him 0 tip. He proceeds to make a huge scene about the 2 extra bucks I need to pay. I finally cave because my friends were very very uncomfortable. As we leave my friend said the guy was a talking shit in Vietnamese to his employees about us. My recommendation is to go somewhere else. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had and all over 2 dollars that they didn't deserve. I see why they have a low yelp review.

The servers speak Cantonese, which was a good sign. We ordered food and a couple plates arrived within 5 minutes (!!) which was insanely fast. I think we got all of our dishes within 10 minutes of ordering. I'm not sure how they whipped it up so quickly. CHICKEN & CORN SOUP - 9.95 We got two orders of this since there were six of us, and each person was able to enjoy almost two bowls of the soup. This was more like egg drop soup at an American Chinese restaurant with some bits of corn and chicken. You really can't call this "chicken & corn" soup. There was lots of cornstarch to give a thick texture. Overall, it's not bad but I think most people can make a better chicken & corn soup at home. BARBECUE PLATTER (3 SELECTIONS) - 21.95 +bbq pork +bbq crispy pork +bbq roasted duck The bbq was fine, nothing to write home about. The bbq pork was vibrantly red, but flavor was a bit bland. The bbq crispy pork wasn't very crispy, but it had a good ratio of skin, fat, and meat. The bbq roasted duck was just fatty. SEAFOOD CHOW FUN - 14.95 Instead of the wavy egg noodles, the server recommended the flat rice noodles (hor fun) because she said it was better. There was a good amount of vegetables and seafood. Aesthetically, it looked delicious. It wasn't too oily, which is good, but it was pretty bland and lacked the "wok hay" flavor... Almost like they just lightly sauteed it on a pan. SAUTEED CHINESE BROCCOLI W GARLIC - 13.95 The texture was nice and crunchy, but again, very bland and no "wok hay" flavor. I ate it for health. EGGPLANT WITH GARLIC SAUCE - 11.95 The eggplant was incredibly saucy and flavorful, definitely the best dish we got. It was soft, tender, and creamy which went well with the garlic sauce. Our entire table agreed this was our favorite. KINGDOM PORK CHOP - 15.95 The sauce was a dark red and very thick. We knew without trying that it was going to be too overpowering and sweet. Indeed it was. Out of everything we ordered, this was definitely our least favorite because it was borderline inedible. I had high hopes since someone recommended New Village as one of the best Cantonese restaurants in the area, but it ended up being pretty mediocre. Like another review had mentioned, most dishes felt flat since the flavors lacked the "wok hay" depth we were looking for. The pricing was very good though since we paid less than $21 per person after tax and tip, and we had enough leftovers for at least two more meals.

Han Palace has one of the largest all-day dim sum menus in Northern Virginia, so it has been my go-to dim sum restaurant for about six years. Unfortunately, today's experience ended that relationship. When me and my family arrived in the evening and were seated immediately. Within a minute, our server asked if we were ready to order. When I said we needed a little more time, she visibly appeared annoyed. After quickly deciding as a family, I placed our order. Because I studied Chinese as a second language, I sometimes order dishes in Chinese. In my experience, servers either appreciate the effort or simply take the order without issue. This time was very different. The server seemed irritated that I was ordering in Chinese. I switched to ordering by the menu item numbers while pointing directly at the dishes because I thought there might be a misunderstanding. Surprisingly, she insisted that I order using the dish names instead. Had the experience ended there, I would have chalked it up to an awkward miscommunication. Unfortunately, it got worse. Less than 30 seconds after taking our order, two dishes arrived. The speed made me wonder whether the food had already been sitting out. The steamed pork buns were so dry that one had cracked open, and the shrimp dumplings were mushy and stuck firmly to the paper liner. I was later surprised to see another reviewer describe a similar experience several months ago. After dropping off the food, the server walked over to a colleague and began speaking in Chinese. They repeatedly looked directly at me while discussing my attempt to order in Chinese. Since I understand the language, it was clear that she was complaining about me. This happened several times while the restaurant was relatively empty. Each time, she returned to the same spot to continue the conversation, with her colleague looking directly at me. After the third time, I asked for the check because I wanted to leave. Paying premium prices for disappointing food is one thing; having the staff openly criticize you while you're dining is another. As we were leaving, I heard the server mutter, "What's his problem?" I will not be returning. I understand that everyone has a bad day, but the combination of poor food quality and unprofessional service made this one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in years. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision before dining here.
