Ordered pork soup Dumpling . Very tasty and moist filled with full of flavored soup . Ordered their seafood noodle soup . My husband got minced pork and rice with egg . Our friends ordered variety of dumplings and soups . must say the soup lacked salt and flavor . We had to add the sauces from our dumplings to soup to taste better .I didn't like their shrimp and pork Shumai. The flavor was not good at all .

A solid spot for authentic chinese food at a great price point, but at our most recent visit we were slightly disappointed. We ordered the Noodles in Scallion Oil with Chicken, and the chicken had a funky taste/smell that we could not eat. Im guessing the chicken isn't one of their more popular items and isn't as fresh. The waitress and chef/owner(?) were very kind however and apologized and took it off the check. Other than that we got the Fungus with Pickled Pepper, regular Soup Dumplings, Sichuan Beef Noodle soup, and Sesame Paste Noodles with Minced Pork. The soup dumplings really are the star at this place- they are full of a flavorful broth, the skin isn't too thick, and comes out fresh and hot- one of the best in the area. The Sichuan Beef Noodle soup and Sesame paste noodles lacked a bittt of flavor, but for the price($13 and $11!!) I really can't complain. If you're here, I'd stick with the popular items- my favorites being the soup dumplings and yibin dry spicy noodles.

Came here today for lunch with my friends and we all came out stuffed! When we walked in, we were greeted and sat right away. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with nice decor and the tables are all set nicely. I tried the chongqing noodles which are the spicy no meat noodles. They tasted really good, the broth was delicious and I really liked the crunchy peanuts in it. I also tried the chicken soup dumplings, this was my first time trying dumplings ever and now I know I've been missing out!! This place was a perfect spot to eat at on a cold day. The staff were all really friendly as well. I enjoyed my time here and I can't wait to come back and have more dumplings.

The service was very quick and the waiters were very nice. The food was also pretty good. The scallion pancakes were very crispy and light, and I loved it. The sesame noodles were ok. I feel like the pork overpowered it and the overall taste was a little too salty for my liking. The soup dumplings were solid. They were nice and juicy and flavorful. I loved the mango pomelo sago, not too sweet.

Really delicious! We were greeted quickly and ordered right away. I loved my noodle soup. It was VERY filling. Lots of meat in it. So flavorful and the noodles were great. The dumplings were amazing. I love soup dumplings and these were perfect! Great spot for a quick meal!

Loved the food here! The restaurant is clean and modern inside. The pork cutlet was tender and delicious. The Dan Dan noodles had a great savory peanut flavor. Lastly the spicy beef noodle soup had a very nice Ma La flavor which can be so hard to find! Will be back and try the soup dumplings next time!

I was looking for some good Chinese food and dim sum, and found Yu Noodles thru Yelp. I was surprised to see that this place was packed but we were lucky enough to get the last table. The food came out fairly quickly even though they seemed busy. I ordered the N1 Chongqing noodles and it was pretty good. It was spicy but not too much. In my opinion, the roasted peanuts topping elevated the overall flavor and quality. If I had to say, noodles could have been better. Dim sum was absolutely delicious! I noticed that nearly every table had ordered the soup dumplings and I could see why it was popular. I would definitely order the soup dumplings again.

Service is great. Food is great. A must try! Spicy dry noodle was our favorite! Soup dumplings were great too.

Food: -soup dumplings (4.5/5) -spicy wonton (4.5/5) -pork bun (4.5/5) -N1 (4/5) -N2 (4.5/5) - would recommend this one if you can eat meat -golden beef noodle soup (2/5) - one of the priciest thing on the menu and it was tasteless, we had to ask for the spice because it was not spicy at all when it came out, very disappointing Pros: -price is very reasonable for this day and age -plenty of parking in the lot -interior feels bright Cons: -the first bowl I had was a little dirty -service was meh but kinda typical of authentic Chinese restaurants -can get packed during meal times, may want to call ahead

So dang good. Good service. Nice inside. Good parking. It's a taste that is unique and consistent. We have tried several things here before and weirdly the item that stands out the most to me is their scallion pancake. I don't normally order scallion pancake finding it over priced and unnecessary. But dannnnnnnng theirs is amazing. Crispy! Tasty! Worth every penny and I think about it often. And then you get into their noodle dishes and other excellent dumplings. this is not my favorite place for soup dumplings but they are okay and their regular pan fried dumplings are excellent. The cold noodle dishes though are spectacular. All their noodle dishes have just a really unique and have authentic flavor with a lovely mix of vegetables and protein. I always enjoy coming back here to enjoy my standing items and to try something new.

    "Chicken leg" noodle soup
    Diana L.

Yu noodles is one of our regular haunts. The "Chicken Leg Noodle Soup" used to be my go to dish here, with the chicken leg being tender like hainanese chicken, but the past 3 times I've ordered it they've used tough chicken breast or chicken thigh. We order Yu noodles frequently, either in person or take out at least once every other week and sometimes more. We like the chicken leg soup and the lamb noodle soup, it usually comes out perfect, but the chef is really heavy handed with the white/black pepper so sometimes the dish is too heavily peppered where your stomach hurts. I tried letting the waitress know one time and she argued with me that it wasn't too peppery. Another time, the male waiter with glasses ignored me. I am rating the chicken leg noodle soup 3 stars for not being as advertised as having chicken leg and being so heavily peppered to the point where I need to water down the dish today. I'm sorely disappointed when I have to make modifications to a dish and play chef on a night when we're ordering out.

Gosh I have been dreaming about those dumplings for so long. I don't live very close. So when I was in the area I had to make time to dine in ( takeout doesn't do justice I think). N it didnot disappoint. I went overboard and ordered .... Chicken soup dumplings, spicy oil wonton and pan fried pork bun. Loved all of it. I am biased to the soup dumplings and the spicy wonton. Can't decide what's my favorite.... lol . Can't wait to go back again. The service was prompt. It was relatively busy considering it was not dinner time yet at 5pm.

Yu Noodles is a DMV gem when it comes for Authentic Chinese Dishes. It's a place that offers very quick service and affordable prices for food too compared to other chains or places that offer Chinese food. I got Chongqing Noodles or N1 based on the menu and while the presentation is colorful, it is not relatively spicy at all. I would take my words with a grain of salt because I can't say for anyone else that tries this dish out and thinks differently otherwise. The noodles were plentiful, soup was hearty, and it was just a delight to eat. I also got Pork Soup Dumplings too; which were also great to get. It comes with vinegar so add some in after biting the tip and drinking the delicious broth from the dumpling. It is so savory that I can order two of those and be content with only eating it. I will definitely have to come back for more; there's so much good food here!

All of it was delicious, cooked to spec, but what really makes them stand out is their superior "wok-hei"; it is the soul of wok-style dishes and compliments to the chef(s) - they absolutely know their craft and it shines in the flavor. This craftsmanship is lost in the new generation and it's a real treat to see it preserved here out of all places. Dumplings were splendid.
