Authentic Korean noodles are hard to find, but Hao by Haoru is as close as it gets. We got the Seafood Gan Ja Jang (JaJang noodles with seafood instead of pork), the veggie Mapu Tofu, and a fried rice/Jampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) combo. Plenty of food to go around! The noodles were perfectly chewy and the toppings added great flavor. The JaJang was deep and earthy and the Jampong was spicy and flavorful. Definitely on our go-to list for authentic noodles, this place might even make we *want* to visit Fairfax just to eat. If you haven't tried Hao, get out there, and you'll be glad you did!

I was finally able to make a visit along with my brother to this unique restaurant called Hao by Haoru which serves Korean ànd Chinese dishes. As you walked in, the restaurant is clean with a modern look and the atmosphere is comfortable. There's two options to choose from either À ($22.99) or B ($34.99) during M-F. On the weekend, À ($24.99) or B ($36.99) ànd this place is AYCE. If you select Option B then you also get Option A too. You also have the option to choose à la carte items from the rest of their menu but they are not AYCE. Since they serve dishes tapa style, I wasn't sure how big the plates were so I chose Option A. I chose every single item which includes Jajang myeon, jjam pong, fried rice, lo mein, mapo tofu, tang su yuk, khan poong Sal, spring rolls, yoo rin gi. The highlights on my trip were Jajang myeon which is a pork, vegetable, noodle dish served with a thick dark black bean sauce. This dish I really enjoy because the noodles were chewy with the right consistency and the flavors were on point. After you take a bite of the noodles followed it with the yellow pickled radish, that's a perfect combination. The fried rice was light, simple and not drown in soy sauce but yet with a hint of sesame oil. It was delicious as well. The khan poong sal which is a deep fried sweet and spicy chicken served with sauté dry hot peppers. And the fried spring roll had a light crispy wrapper filled with vegetables, served with two pieces ànd sweet dipping sauce. Whatever you do, keep the sweet and sour sauce from the tang su yuk which is a deep fried pork strips. That sweet and sour sauce had an enriched deep flavor that I never experienced before. It was made with Korean love. Though these dishes were serve tapa style, they are big enough to cover 2-3 people. Though the hours states the restaurant closes at 9:30p, the kitchen closes at 8:30p so make sure you get order in. I had excellent service by my server named Sam, he was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I will make a return visit to try other items on their menu.

Stopped by after son's baseball game in the area. What a great place to celebrate a big win with some deliciousness! Right upon entry, we were greeted with a warm smile and seated instantly. The lighting was very bright and the place was very clean. We opted for the Combo B Fried Rice & Jjam Pong and the Hao Ja Jang Myeon, which came highly recommended by the server. Both dishes were prepared fresh and very tasty! Parking was plentiful as it is shared with all the businesses in the center. They do have a great AYCE options, which we have on our radar for our next visit. Enjoy!

You can tell real care goes into both the food and the guest experience at Hao by Haoru. If you're a fan of Korean-Chinese cuisine or trying it for the first time, Hao is a must-visit! The overall restaurant is modern, clean, and welcoming. I think it would truly make for a great spot for both casual dinners and group outings. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to explain dishes, which really elevated my overall experience! As for my meal, it was my first time trying yoo rin gi and it completely won me over! The fried chicken was perfectly crispy with a savory sauce. Another very crispy and light item were the veggie spring rolls, which tasted great with the dipping sauce. The oyster jjamppong was rich and flavorful, while the seafood jajangmyeon was hearty and full of toppings. The cream lemon shrimp was comforting and the crab egg drop soup was silky and warming. Lastly, my favorite were the fried dumplings, which I was told are made with house-made wrappers and filling! They were THE BEST fried dumplings I've had! Every bite of my meal was delicious, especially paired with ice-cold Terra which tied everything together perfectly! I would highly recommend checking out Hao by Haoru!

I tried their ayce lunch menu - such a good deal! They make everything to order, so your food comes out hot and freshly made. I LOVED the kkanpungi (super flavorful), jjampong (can really taste the wok fire), and tangsuyuk (i like dipping the meat into the sauce separately so it stays crispy). The fried rice and lo mein noodles were also really tasty! The interior was very clean, modern looking, and spacious. It's definitely a great spot to come to with a large group! The food came out quickly and service was great :)

The Khan Poong Dumplings were good--very doughy and fried with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce on top. Everything else was pretty bland in my honest opinion. The Han Special seafood noodle had very little seafood, but the noodle had a good wok hei flavor. Crab Meat Egg drop soup was imitation crab and looks like it was just plopped in to the base. My friends egg drop was thicker than my egg drop. The fried rice combination came with black bean sauce and soup. The fried rice was better without the black bean sauce. Overall, I wasn't impressed by most of Korean Chinese combination dishes. However, it was LARGE portions and made me full, so there's that.

Got the jajangmyun & tang su yuk combo and it was pretty good in flavor. The tang su yuk was pretty crispy and not too hard. The server was also very friendly and kept checking up on us.

New Korean Chinese place that opened up in Fairfax. I've tried their Centreville location, also good. I would say maybe portion sizes here a bit smaller though. Overall attentive service and good quality food from my experience. Can't really take advantage of the AYCE though bc it's only during lunchtime during the weekdays.

I think there's an opportunity to come again, but the flavor was....ok! I really do mean it. However, the flavor level to price point ratio was not great. The service here was good, as our server was pleasant. I know it's the colder months now, but having a heater inside didn't really help us much. Bring a sweater! We had the AYCE option B. It came with the bulgogi, khan poong sal, & Yoo Rin Gi

I was excited that this place opened up. I have been craving Korean/Chinese food for awhile. I have been twice now and both experiences have been good. The frst time I went I had Combo E, Sweet Sour Pork & Ja Jang Myeon. The sweet & sour pork came out pipping hot which I appreciate. The sauce was served on the side which I also prefer so that the pork doesn't get soggy. It was crispy and seasoned well. The ja jang myeon was okay. The sauce was kind of thin and there was not much noodles given. My second time I had Combo B, Fried Rice & Jjam Pong. I liked this combo much more. The fired rice was great and had a slight smokey flavor from the wok which I loved. Mixed with the spicy flavorful jjam pong; it was a great combination. The noodles this time were plentiful and the seafood in it was average but not bad. I enjoyed having lunch here!

Really tasty Korean food! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. I tried a few wok-fired dishes, and they were cooked perfectly with that nice smoky touch. Great balance of traditional flavors with a modern twist. Friendly service and good portions -- I'll definitely be back!

Located in Greenbriar shopping center on the side closer to Marshall's. There were two other Korean restaurants that didn't last long in this same spot but maybe third time is the charm. We loved being able to drive down the road instead of 28 to go to Centreville. It was just as good as it's location in Centreville. The service seemed better and friendlier. The decor was modern. We ordered our usual favorites and were satisfied. This place has a kids menu and ayce lunch that the Centreville place doesn't. They are doing rhe soft opening now so come and check it out. We cant wait to come again.

Great service (oddly they're all REALLY attractive Asian guys... save for the front desk girl - and I'm a straight, married, asian male), prices are great for the quality of meat and service you get (they cook for you) They come with the little appetizer plates like most Korean restaurants do, and they all have their own little twist to them, not super vanilla but still keeping to their roots and simple flavors. The green onion one was particularly memorable Our side dishes were excellent. Cheesy corn and seafood pancake. Both come out in cast iron pan, so it's piping hot and super fresh. Corn is hella cheesy and paired great with the appetizers. The seafood pancake was DENSE - really packed with seafood and not so much filler We got their combo so it came with kimchi soup and egg soufflé. The soup was very simple, very spicy. The soufflé was a nice contrast - light, fluffy, honestly almost felt like a desert. We definitely done made a mistake because for two of us, by this time the meats were ready to be cooked, we were about 60% full - and there were 4 meats to cook through We got brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, and another beef I don't remember - ended up taking about 1/3 of it home and half the pancake Our server was attentive and busy managing other tables so it's great to see all these guys staying sharp Considering how much food we took home, the bill was quite reasonable. I cannot stop thinking about the Baekdusan bulgogi because it was truly a savory MEAT MOUNTAIN. Our kind server gave us a pro tip to mix the sauce with rice. That completely changed the dish for me! The sauce soaking into the rice made it unbelievably rich and satisfying.
