Clear Broth Beef Noodle
Ailun H.

We'd heard mixed reviews about MIÀN, but still thought it would be worth trying for one of our monthly catchup dinners. It was pretty empty when we visited a couple Thursdays ago, and we were seated right away. The ordering process was pretty self-explanatory: just scan the QR code on the table and place the order when ready. CLEAR BROTH BEEF NOODLE Two of us ordered this because we were in the mood for something lighter. Unfortunately, the broth was incredibly salty to the point where we each had to pour in about 1/3 cup of our drinking water into the bowl just to make it bearable. Besides the fact that it's salty, the broth was bland and didn't have very much to offer. The noodles and toppings were fine, but we couldn't get over how offensively bad that broth was. Our other friend got the Spicy Braised Beef Noodles, which was much better than the Clear Broth Beef Noodle, but still not stellar. Overall, we had a pretty disappointing experience at MIÀN and are unlikely to return.

Ordered via UE for take-away. I was in the area so I arrived a little early. Immediately greeted upon entrance. Advised I placed an online order and was directed to seating to wait. Music is playing in the background to active customer conversations. It's a small space that is pleasingly aesthetic, in a minimalist way. Right at the door, kiosk ordering for take-away. My food was packed with care and arrived in the cutest take-away bag. I ordered: Pork Dumplings In Chili Oil, L2 spicy, Wontons In Chili Oil, L2 spicy and Green Onion Pancake. My fav was the Pork Dumpling in Chili Oil. Both noodle dishes needed more heat. Maybe L3 spicy? The Green Onion Pancake needs a lot more green onion. It was light and flaky but no green onion flavor. I saw several other items I'd like to try so I definitely would return.

Cali brought the sichuan noodles east coast! This brand new sichuan noodle house looks like it just opened up in the area. Small tables for seating and they had a QR code where you can check out the menu with some pictures and can order from, but oddly you can't pay from the table you have to get your server to come over and pay there. The place isn't massive but enough to fit maybe 20-30 people. It seems like a quick grab. The spicy Sichuan beef noodles ($18) and the spicy Sichuan dumplings ($10) were so good. The noodles felt fresh and had a nice chewiness to them. My favorite though was the spicy Sichuan dumplings, they had a nice sweet and only slight numbing flavor. Soup dumplings were pretty good ($12), the broth was nice and they actually quite big, I wish the filling was a little more solid/shaped or cooked more though. I wasn't a huge fan of the beef fried rice ($17) as I felt it was lacking a bit in flavor. Overall pretty good, a little pricey but I do think the noodles and the Sichuan dumplings in special sauce were definitely worth it.

Loved it, spicy just how I like it. Highly recommend. Clean and fast service. I had the spicy beef appetizer and the recommended beef noodle bowl. Soooo good.

Pretty solid noodles! I would get this again. I liked the zha jiang noodles - love how it also has a slight mala flavor. Minced pork and seasoned goodness!!! Also enjoyed the beef noodle soup - came with large chunks of meat. Noodles are bouncy, I'm pretty satisfied! Nothing crazy but satisfied an itch I had for Asian soup!! Wouldn't get the spicy wontons again. Lots of seating inside and cool how it's all online. You can order everything on your phone and add to the order if you scan the QR code. Super cool.

Came during their soft opening! They took over what used to be China Wok. The interior looks really nice and modern. When you come in, you scan the QR code on the table to order your food which came out within 10 min of us ordering. We got woodear mushrooms, cucumber salad, tomato beef noodle soup, and zajiang noodles. Overall, not bad! The food was solid but I wouldn't say it stands out from all of the other Chinese food in the area. I would still come back to try the other items on the menu!

Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup

Our favorite west coast noodles have landed in Nova! My first time at Mian was at their Vegas location and I absolutely loved it. We ordered the golden wonton soup for my daughter, the soup dumplings, the chili oil wontons, the Sichuan beef noodle soup, and the pork dumplings in chili oil. Everything was soooo good. My favorites were the pork dumplings in chili oil, the Sichuan beef noodle soup, and the golden soup with wonton. The pork dumplings are soooo flavorful--they're a little on the sweeter side like they are at the other locations, but the garlic aroma is sooo good. The Sichuan beef noodle soup has such tender beef, the noodles are an amazing texture, and the soup is super fragrant. And the golden soup I ordered for my daughter had such a fragrant chicken flavor with a hint of ginger. I'm so glad Mian has decided to open in the area and I will definitely be back.

Pumpkin dumplings

We tried this place for dinner recently and thought the food was pretty good, but we had a couple issues. Some of the pumpkin dumplings were a bit undercooked and, while we enjoyed the beef noodle soup, we didn't know we had ordered soup until it arrived. The menu could be made clearer on that. The noodles were very good, but I prefer the thicker, hand cut noodles and Xian noodle houses. We'll try again.

Currently in soft opening with expected grand opening not for at least three weeks. They are asking time to ensure staff fully trained as they ramp up. Due to soft opening only a small subset of full menu available. When you sit down there is a QR on the table to bring up the menu. You can order directly from there or talk to a server if you prefer ordering with them. We ordered the cold cucumber salad, spicy pork dumplings, sechuan pancakes, and spicy beef noodle. Hubbies first thought on the dumplings were just a touch sweet.... i ordered regular spicey... next time I'll say extra I'm thinking... a nice heat overall at regular level IMO and we do like spicy. Cucumbers are a great option as a cooling taste in-between spicy bites. Im typing as we are eating.... just ordered the brown sugar sticky rice... while my hubby likes ordering with a person it us nice to just add abd send without flagging staff down. Beef in the noodles was quite tender with the perfect amount of five spice. Really looking forward to tasting more when full menu is available. Ohhhh my brown sugar rice stick rice appeared.... nice as not super sweet.... but maybe I need more sweet. Funny was just asked if I liked.... they added a bit more sweet for me.... nice or shoujd I say SWEET? So far only word of mouth.... full up at noon....

Noodles are one of those very comforting dishes that can also be really exciting because they are prepared in many different ways and in many different cuisines.  Today we ventured out for Sichuan noodles at Mian.  The space is a little spare in decoration but it is nice, bright and clean and there is plenty of seating.  The staff was very welcoming.  There is a system for ordering take out through a kiosk in the entryway and the tableside ordering is also more on the tech side with a QR code access to the menu and ordering.  The app is very helpful at keeping you posted on the status of your order.  We were hoping for a nice pot of hot tea but only bottled/canned iced tea was available.  We opted for two different kinds and both were good.  We ordered a variety of small dishes to share including the scallion pancake, chili oil wontons, sesame balls, spicy fries and the larger chengdu zahiang noodles.  Everything was very good and we would order them again with the exception of the fries.  They were fine but nothing special so I think we would try something else in its place next time we go. Mian is a very convenient place for an easy meal.  There is plenty of parking in the huge lot out front.

Really happy to have Mian open! We came with the family and everyone found something they loved, and then some. The soup dumplings were probably my favorite, especially the truffle ones. The skin is super thin, there's actually a lot of soup inside, and they're flavorful without being oily or too heavy. Definitely order these. The noodles taste freshly made and the soup bases have a lot of flavor without being overwhelming. My kids loved the golden soup noodles and wontons, and the original beef noodle soup was exactly what I was hoping for--really good, authentic flavor, straight up taste of Sichuan. Roger, the GM, was also incredibly welcoming. He stopped by our table and told us a little about the restaurant and the quality of the ingredients they use. You can tell they care about what they're serving. Overall, the food feels a little more refined and upscale while still tasting authentic and comforting. We'll definitely be back. So glad to have Mian in the area!

The people are nice and the service is good. The noodles and wontons are delicious. There is a lot of seating, it's a nice and clean restaurant.

The menu had a lot of options to choose from which I appreciated. Our group opted for the following apps: rolls, calamari, wings, and sliders. My personal favorites were the wings which had a sweet and tangy flavor as well as the calamari. With the calamari there were jalapeños mixed in, so it definitely was a spicy surprise . The rolls were OK, but not as warm and soft as I'd like. I didn't try the sliders, but heard they were good. For drinks, I got a mocktail. The one I ordered had blueberry and a spice mix. It was really good! The service wasn't great to me. Our waiter didn't check in about our meals once we got them to see if we liked them or refill our water. I will say everyone enjoyed their food. I had the steak salad and asked for my steak to be medium well which it was cooked to my liking. I just thought the steak could have been better seasoned and for there to be more dressing. For dessert, the waiter recommended the bread pudding and it seemed to be a popular option among their dessert offerings. Although I didn't try the bread pudding, the bride to be and her maid of honor ate it, and they both said it wasn't good and very thick. All in all, I'd say the ambiance is great, food is tasty, but service could be more attentive.

We were given 2 rolls, 1 piece of plain sourdough and 1 piece of cheddar? sourdough. The rolls with the sweet butter were definitely superior. Will definitely just stick with rolls the next time. I've had better sourdoughs. Honestly would give 5 stars for the ambiance, food, and service (all the servers helped each other which made everything go fast and smooth). However, the reason for the 4 star is because we got 2 slightly different menus where one had some extra items and missing some others while the other menu had extra items and missing some as well. When we tried to order some items, they were out (including the filet mignon tips that everyone loves). We went at 4:30pm on a Sunday and heard they run out in the afternoon.

While the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made quickly, the real reason I keep coming back--and why I recommend it to friends, coworkers, and anyone looking for a great lunch--is the customer service. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile. The team members at the register are welcoming and helpful, especially for anyone unfamiliar with the ordering kiosks. Even during the busiest lunch rushes, they stay calm, patient, and efficient. You never get the sense that they're overwhelmed, even when there's a line out the door. What really sets this location apart is how much they care about the guest experience. Even though Honeygrow isn't a full-service restaurant, employees regularly bring food to tables, check in to see how your meal is, and make sure everything is going well. They actively walk the dining room, clear tables quickly, and keep the space clean and inviting. It's rare to see this level of attentiveness at a fast-casual restaurant. I've also found the staff to be accommodating with modifications and special requests, and the food always comes out fresh and fast. Over the years, I've interacted with many different employees, and the excellent service has been remarkably consistent regardless of who's working. That tells me it's part of the culture here, not just a few standout individuals. I wish I knew everyone's names so I could recognize them individually--that's my goal the next time I visit. They truly deserve the credit. I've been to enough restaurants to know that great food gets people in the door, but great service keeps them coming back. This Honeygrow has mastered both. They make you feel welcomed, remembered, and genuinely appreciated as a customer. I'd love to know if other Honeygrow locations provide this same level of service, but honestly, I don't feel the need to find out.
