Pork Spicy Tang Su Yuk take out
Emily L.

Oo another great Korean Chinese spot. Tried the Szechuan tang su yuk and jjajangmyeon. Tangsuyuk was a little over fried and pork a little dry but still good. The sauce wasn't spicy at all and too sweet. The jja jang myeon was good- sweet, savory. A pinch too sweet, but I still liked it. The noodles were excellent. They shock it in ice cold water before packaging (I'm assuming), because they were ice cold. The directions on the box said to run it through hot water before consuming with the sauce. Noodles were noticeably better than other restaurants- perfectly bouncy chewy. The jjajang sauce- the onions are chopped significantly smaller than other restaurants. It made it pleasant to eat. What's unique about this Korean Chinese restaurant is that they offer three combo meals and not just two (ex: jjajang, jjambbong, AND tangsuyuk). Will be back!

Staff was nice! Lots of options for everyone. Plenty of parking in the lot. Decent pricing

We came on a Friday around 7pm and it was pretty busy. Took a few minutes to get sat and for a server to come by. It seemed like only one server for the whole restaurant. Food came out pretty quickly though. I didn't love their tang su yuk sauce, but the pork was good. Husband enjoyed his jja jjang myun/jjam bbong combo, but their gan ja jjang has a better flavor than the normal jja jang myeon. The mil naeng myun was okay.

Best 짬뽕 Jjambong in NOVA! I have been hiding this place but the secret is apparently out so I might as well give them 5 starts. The decor of the restaurant and the service is not 5 stars but you also don't go get jjampong looking for great service. You want an amazing soup to comfort the soul. And now that it is summer, they created a nangmyun jjambong, called Nang Jjambong! Perfect for a summer day.

Caught up with some friends for lunch at this small mom and pop shop. I got the combo set and this was the definition of Korean comfort food. Noodles had a great chewy texture, the soup was spicy and flavorful, and the black bean sauce had a nice rich earthy taste. Great spot for Korean comfort food! Entrees: Jja Jang Myeon (Black Bean Noodles) and Jjam Bbong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup)

first time trying jjajangmyeon and jjambbog and it was sooooo good. it was good mix of a sweetish and savory and felt like such a comfort food. also tried tang su yuk, which was the crispy pork and that was cooked so perfectly, usually when i've had it in other places it was too though or too chewy, this was so good especially with the sauce. the service was super quick and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and comfortable. definitely recommend this place for comfort korean food

I was really excited to check this place out since I saw reviews on Instagram, raving about this restaurant. They suggested I order tang su yuk, and jjajangmyeon so I did just that! I went with 2 others, and we figured just the 2 dishes wasn't going to be enough, so we ordered the jjampong as well because we saw an appetizing picture out front! The food came out fairly quickly, like in less than 15 minutes. The food tasted like it had been microwaved to be hot, and not cooked fresh. //Tang su yuk unfortunately came with sauce on it, and made the pork soggy. The pork pieces that didn't have sauce on them, weren't even crispy! It was truly a let down. //Jjampong: tasted like packaged ramen, I couldn't remember which brand of ramen but it tasted just like ramen, no special jjampong flavor. The noodles were cooked to perfection though, and had great bite, great chew. //Fried Dumplings: 2 of 5, they were super "crunchy" and hard. That's how fried dumplings feel once you've fried them, then re fry them again. The dumplings were so hard to eat, one of my friends took a bite and couldn't eat any more as she has sensitive teeth. My niece was really excited to try this place since she doesn't like the Korean place that we usually go to; so we thought we had found a new spot. Guess we are still on the look out.

Great spot for Korean comfort food! My partner and I decided to check this place out on a cold Saturday night when we were craving something hearty. Upon arrival, the restaurant was clean and quiet, and the service was prompt and courteous. The menu has a lot of images and good descriptions to help you choose your dish. I went with a combination option of jajangmyeon (noodles topped with a thick meat and black bean sauce) and tangsuyuk (pork with sweet and sour sauce). The combination was a really good value - very affordable for the portion that you get. And the food was really good! The flavors were strong but not overpowering and you also get some kimchi and kimchi radish on the side to help cut through any richness. I really enjoyed trying this place and I'm hoping to try more Korean food in the area too!

I visited again for Korean-Chinese lunch after some time, and I noticed a significant improvement in the food quality. The food we ordered was fantastic, and the house-made noodles had a perfect texture. The decor is still a bit dated but remains clean and tidy, and the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality of each dish.

i actually loved this unexpectedly despite the low-ish ratings ! they have very creative jjamppong which was so fun and i def need to come back to try more. i had the rosé jjamppong, gan jjajjang, pork tangsuyuk. i will be back to try more

Came here looking for cozy vibes and the classic korean restaurant experience, and got exactly that! We ordered the tangsuyuk, jjajangmyeon, and jjampong. The broth was spicy, the black bean sauce savory and a little sweet, and we loved both of them! Tasted exactly like the restaurant back home, and i'm so happy to have found a replacement here in Fairfax :) The tangsuyuk wasn't oily and had the perfect amount of breading, and tasted so good with the sauce/broth of the other two dishes. The portions are decently sized, so you can definitely share 1 bowl with someone, especially if you get the tangsuyuk! And the lady working (I think she's the owner?) was super sweet and though it was decently busy when we came, she was super quick whenever we asked for something. Will DEFINITELY be coming back!

Pork Tangsooyook actually has meat!

The place was filling up and the ambiance reminds me of a traditional bustling noodle house - perfect for the cold snap we were experiencing at the time. We got hot and sour noodle soup, sichuan beef noodle soup, and an order of their pork soup dumplings. Portions are generous and prices are fair, it's easy to become a regular here if you live nearby. The hot and sour noodle soup is as advertised - just enough spice to complement the sour, but not overwhelm to make it feel like mala. It's served, as expected, with glass noodles, some bak choi, and some pork slices. Nothing spectacular but par for the course. The sichuan beef noodle foon soup was slight notch better. The broth gives really warm vibe and you can tell it's been brothing for a long time. Again just the right amount of spicy to make you keep slurping for more. The noodles were average, chewy, but not bouncy. Also comes with a healthy amount beef slices and bak choi. Again - a great noodle soup bowl but nothing jaw dropping. Soup dumplings were fantastic, however. The pork definitely has its own marinade and the soup is flavorful. The dumpling skin is well constructed and complemented well with the noodle soups - especially in cold weather. tldr; solid noodle soup spot, they seem to be consistent and really hits the mark when you're in a for your noodle fix. Soup dumplings are probably a must get side dish with whatever your main is

I had the szechuan beef noodle soup - the beef was tender alongside its tasty noodles and savoury broth. The scallion pancakes were solid and crunchy. The place itself is quite small for dine in, but I'm pretty sure that's not their target so we were able to get a seat for 2 pretty easily on a Friday evening. We got mostly "ABC" comfort foods - orange chicken, Yangzhou fried rice, Singapore rice noodles - and an order of their dumplings in spicy sauce (a bit surprising as it's a more northern China style compared to the rest of menu). It was definitely a bit much for just 2 of us but we intended to take home leftovers. All of it was delicious, cooked to spec, but what really makes them stand out is their superior "wok-hei"; it is the soul of wok-style dishes and compliments to the chef(s) - they absolutely know their craft and it shines in the flavor. This craftsmanship is lost in the new generation and it's a real treat to see it preserved here out of all places. Dumplings were splendid. Juicy and handmade, definitely hits that nostalgic nook from the back of your head. tldr; charming Chinese takeout spot with superb wok-hei in their dishes
