This is place is pretty good for a nicer dine in Chinese restaurant! So expect the prices to be a bit higher than a more casual place. I have been here a few times and my favorite dish is probably the crab tofu. This time we got mapo tofu, west lake beef soup, cucumbers, and beef tripe. I love how flavorful all the sauces and seasonings are! You can also choose the level of spice you want. The waiters were kind but it can be hard to find someone and seemed to really only check in towards the end of your meal. You get a 5% discount if you pay with cash. It was a little strange how they only had quarters to give me for some change though... overall I recommend!

RH Bistro, Modern Asian with Bold flavor If you're craving Asian favorites but are open to stepping a little outside the box, RH Bistro delivers a modern Asian experience that blends comfort dishes with bold, authentic flavors. You'll find staples like Lo Mein, but the menu goes far beyond the familiar. If you're a pork lover, this is your place, they truly use every part of the pig, adding a unique, adventurous edge that sets the menu apart. Two standout crowd-pleasers: Combination Lo Mein, wok-tossed, flavorful, and generously portioned Kung Pao Chicken, a spicy, savory hit if you can stand the heat level spice The vibe is modern, welcoming, and perfect for a date night, friends' dinner, or foodie adventure when you want something different but still satisfying. Come hungry. Come curious. Leave impressed

They're amazing! 1. Always empty so don't need to make a reservation. But I do want them to stay open, so people check them out! 2. Food: excellent People who know me well know that I don't go for Chinese meal as my first option but food here is legit! Naming convention here is a bit off, - For example what we call Dan dan noodle the thick noodle awesomeness is called pad Thai here, makes no sense but try it! - general tsao chicken is okay - lamb noodle dish is amazing, it comes hot one time and it was a cold dish the next time. I was surprised. Bur both were amazing! But they do need to be consistent if they wanna last long 3. Hot tea is good and comes in a pot which is something I love. They have no liqueur license yet. 4. Service: amazing! They recognized me when showed up after 2 weeks! Very polite, accommodating and genuinely nice! 5. Ambiance: very inviting, clean and well structured. Great for big groups, lots of private rooms for business dinner etc. Highly recommend!

We went for lunch and overall was a pleasant experience. We were during the earlier hours - service was definitely more attentive at the start (when there were less tables). Recommend the servers try more of the menu. When asking for recommendations, two different servers could only tell us what other people order vs what they liked. When we went the restaurant also did not have their liquor license yet, but sounded like that was coming soon. The main dishes are mostly authentic and tasted good. Dim sum options were just ok - soup dumplings lacked soup and scallion pancake tasted like it was from a package. Also disappointing was a pot of tea comes with a tea bag rather than loose leaf tea. Room for improvement, but once the restaurant has been fully open and stabilized, we'll be back to try it again.

I was craving soup dumplings and came across this place. Unfortunately when I arrived alot of menu items weren't available including soup dumplings :(. We ended up ordering the orange chicken, beef brisket with enoki mushroom soup and pan fried pork dumplings and everything was delicious! All the food were solid and nothing to complain about. The beef brisket with enoki mushroom soup reminded me of non spicy malatang and it even had glass noodles in it which was a nice surprise. The restaurant is big and spacious, and the service was good. I'll definitely be back to try the soup dumplings next time!

Saw this Chinese restaurant on IG and it looked too tempting not to try. Finally got the chance--and ended up going twice in a row! The food was incredible, the staff super friendly, and the whole place had such a great vibe. We ordered the Sichuan Chongqing pepper chicken--super spicy and a bit on the salty side, so definitely ask them to adjust it to your taste. The Dan Dan noodles reminded me of creamy peanut butter noodles --pretty good if you're a peanut butter lover. The Red Oil Pork Dumplings were my favorite! They look spicy, but the heat is very manageable.

RH Bistro has been high on our list to try and we finally gave it a try tonight. My wife ordered family style, knowing what our daughter and I like. The food was Sichuan spicy for all our dishes, and that is a very good thing. The cumin lamb was very bold with the slices, moreso than at other Sichuan restaurants. The lamb was very tender and sliced thin. The Sichuan Chongqing pepper chicken (similar to Lazi chicken at other restaurants) was fried crispy with numbing pepper oil and covered in hot peppers for a very incredibly good flavor that I couldn't stop eating. We also ordered crispy Mandarin fish with Sichuan pepper as well. The fish comes with sprigs of numbing peppers and a Sichuan numbing pepper forward taste. I wasn't a fan of the texture of the fish, however the flavor was really good. My wife and daughter loved the fish. Service was fast and attentive, refilling our waters often and bringing our food very quickly and hot from the kitchen. I will definitely be back, especially after being so satisfied from having all my favorite dishes!

Rh Bistro has good food and ambiance! It looks clean, modern, and luxurious inside. I ordered the signature mala dry pot, sweet and sour crispy tilapia, crab and pork soup dumplings, and the kung pao cashew jumbo shrimp. I would recommend all of those dishes besides the shrimp dish (which is a more Americanized dish). The dry pot comes sizzling in a pot similar to a stir fry with a mix of different proteins. The sweet and sour tilapia was perfect and was nicely deboned (with minor small fish bones). I would definitely get both of these dishes again to share! I went on a Friday night where they were pretty busy, but the service was still good.

I've been on the hunt for good Szechuan food in the area, but everything kept falling short... until now. Oh, hello, RH Bistro! Let's start with my ultimate test: the mapo tofu. I always judge a Szechuan restaurant by this dish, and RH Bistro nailed it. I ordered it extra spicy (because why not?) and it was absolute perfection - not too oily, not too soupy, with that magical mix of numbing spice, chili heat, cornstarch-thickened sauce, and silky tofu. It hit every note. The popular Szechuan Pepper Chicken (yep, extra spicy again) totally lived up to the hype -- crispy, flavorful, and addictive. To cool things down, we added some sautéed bok choy, which were fresh, vibrant, and a nice break from the heat. And I can't forget the pork dumplings with red oil - those little pockets of happiness were so good I could've eaten the whole plate myself. Next time, I'm bringing a bigger crew so I can sample more of the menu. RH Bistro, you've officially raised the Szechuan bar around here.

The restaurant is large and quite pretty! It was not busy on a Thursday dinner time but did see quite a few take out orders being prepped so maybe people prefer that here than the restaurant. Waiters were nice but a bit slow One big thing though is they no longer sell the soup dumplings! I saw lots of reviews here were for it so actually that was my main reason to come but was not on the menu and when I asked they apologized and said they don't have it anymore Mapo tofu - comes in a lot more jelly like sauce but I liked it! The tofu is extremely silky and soft. The sauce is numbing but it's not overwhelming and adds the floral flavor! I think only once we were about halfway through the numbing did kinda build but not unpleasantly. They also offered to rice which was necessary 3/5 Red oil dumpling - don't be fooled by the red color or that it's called oil! It's more like a very deeply flavored broth that can be eaten on its own! Spicy but not numbing and very good. The skin of the dumpling is silky and soft! The only Thing I wish was the meat inside the dumpling was a little less dry. Even with it being slightly dry, super delicious 4/5

This is one the best new Sichuan places in NOVA imo. The dishes are actually spicy and not toned down for the American palette. We had the salted egg tofu the chongching crispy chicken or La ze chi in most other places. The chicken is addictive and drowned with chilli peppers all around. But you keep on coming back to the dish to try and pick out every little morsel of chicken or crispy you can find. Dan dan noodles ordered as an appetizer was also delicious. Presentation was their strong point on this dish. Garnished with some watercress it was enough to feed all five of us. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. Water filled every five minutes. Parking is free in the garage for 2 hours with validation and QR code scan. The place is bright and modern.

A 3-3.5 stars for me. I was super excited for this place after seeing their menu. My sister made a reservation for 7 here on a Friday at 6 pm. We got one of the private rooms. When we got to the restaurant, there was no one at the front and it took a while for someone to come greet us and show us a table. We were shown to a room that had unique chairs but was only set up for 5 people. Someone's purse was still there and the host said that a previous group had switched tables. I didn't love that because I'm not sure if anyone drank from the water glasses already. The brought out the rest of the place settings in a little. I liked the idea of a private room, but honestly, you're better off sitting at a regular table. There was absolutely no service. I get that a lot of the old school restaurants don't have great service, but we didn't see anyone after getting our food. It was a little ridiculous. We had to furiously wave at someone to try to get their attention. We ordered a total of 9 dishes thinking we'd have a ton of leftovers. But honestly, we didn't. Portion sizes are kind of small, and my parents/sister really don't eat too much. We ordered 2 pork belly dishes, the twice cooked and the pan fried. They tasted almost the same. We did enjoy the crab fried rice and the duck. The braised beef with tomato was delicious too. Food came out very quickly. The mushroom beef noodles soup was okay. Also, none of the dishes come with rice. Different from most Chinese restaurants. With such saucy dishes, it really needed rice. I wish the waiter/host who took our order would have said something about the rice. It is extra which honestly, is a little annoying. With how long it took to get water and take out boxes, we decided to skip dessert. Parking was validated for 2 hours. We were glad we came, but honestly probably wouldn't be back.

A visually striking spot for lunch with standout Dan Dan Noodles. I stopped by for lunch and was immediately impressed by the bold, eye-catching interior--especially the extravagant wall art, which gives the space a vibrant and unique character. I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles, and they were absolutely fantastic--full of flavor, with just the right amount of heat and depth. It was disappointing to learn that dumplings are no longer on the menu, but the other dishes I tried were also well-executed and delicious. Service was friendly, though a bit uncoordinated. It took a while for someone to notice I needed assistance, and I wasn't sure who my server was throughout the meal. That said, everyone I interacted with was pleasant, and I left feeling satisfied and well-fed. I'll definitely be returning soon--those Dan Dan Noodles alone are worth the trip.

No other Viet Cajun (even in Houston or wherever) comes close to the depth and complexity of the Hot N Juicy Special sauce. For now, the winning move is to order a some sausage in a cup with Hot N Juicy Special medium sauce w/extra garlic TO GO, and sautée it with a bag of defrosted Costco head-on 16-20 count shrimp, or a few dozen live Cherrystone clams from HMart. On a mid-Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was about ¾ full. We started out with the Wonton Soup and the Spicy Wonton soup. The Wonton soup is just okay, but the Spicy Wonton Soup is wonderful and highly recommended. For another appetizer, we ordered the Scallion Pancake. It has a nice dense texture and I really liked it. It would've been even better if it came with a dipping sauce. We also ordered the pickled cabbage. It was good, though lacking seasoning. Our first entrée was ground pork in a delicious sauce accompanied by sprouts and thinly sliced cucumber (or was that zucchini?). Recommended! Our second entrée was a Pan Fried Beef Bun. The beef was flavorful but the bread was kinda dry. Our last entrée was the Beef Wraps. These were great! Who woulda thunk that beef and fresh carrots would go together so well?! Oh, the chili sauce in a jar on the table is extra tasty. At the end, before we got our check, we were given a plate with sliced cucumbers in a light tasty sesame chili sauce. Excellent! But the hot tea was an epic fail. It had no flavor whatsoever. Peeking inside the teapot, all I could see was a micro tiny tea bag floating or sort of sinking. One other thing I kinda don't want to bring up in light of the great food we enjoyed, but need to in the spirit of full disclosure, is to mention that A&J shares space in the building with several other businesses. The restrooms are common to all the businesses. A&J needs to lean hard on the property owner/manager to do a deep cleaning in those restrooms. I'll leave it at that.

The prices are quite good and the portions are generous. I had a full second meal the next day without trying. I got the Yangzhou fried rice and it was very well executed. The meat inside was excellent, with what tasted like lap cheong or a similar Chinese sausage. The egg was fluffy, not burnt, nicely moist, and evenly distributed. Everything tasted fresh and balanced, with real depth of flavor. This is fried rice done properly. The other dish was listed as spicy fried chicken or something, though it was basically a la zi ji. It was excellent. I loved the peppers, and the spices were very aromatic. The frying was done well, clearly cooked in plenty of oil, so not exactly light food, but extremely satisfying. The chicken was crisp and flavorful, and the overall execution was strong. The food came out fast, the prices were low, and the quality was high, and service was good. This is an authentic Hong Kong-style place, not fancy or polished, but clearly focused on getting the food right. Five stars. I definitely want to come back.

The dining room is quiet bc of all the competition in Chinese food these days but those new places are not quite as good, serve smaller portions, and charge higher prices. While the dining room is a bit sad and tired the food is not. Come support this small family owned business. Eat in bc takeout is never as good... especially with the amazing crispy, fried dishes this place knocks out. Chengdu Salt & Pepper Jumbo Shrimp, Cumin Fish, Stir Fried String Beans, Dan Dan Noodles, Chengdu Zhong Spring Dumpling, Cumin Lamb are some of the many dishes I recommend. They do a lot of things well --- a rarity these days in the restaurant scene.

However, my opinion changed when my wife and I dined in the restaurant for the first time. It will not be our last. What drove me to dine in was the ambience I observed when I picked up a previous takeout order. It was a really nice place, with neat décor, plenty of seating, and a serving staff that was obviously attentive. This remained my impression when we came here for the first time recently. Contrary to our takeout orders, the food blew us away when it was fresh from the kitchen. Perhaps this was because we ordered different things, or perhaps because what we ordered to-go (e.g., fried eggplant, Szechuan chicken) did not travel well. Whatever the case, but this was some of the best Chinese food we have eaten in a long time. For appetizers we ordered the puffy scallion pancake, which was fun to tear and share, and came with some very nice curry sauce or dipping. We also ordered the pork soup dumplings, which were everything you could want in a soup dumpling - piping hot with a warm, soul-soothing broth inside (but which does not travel particularly well in takeout orders). For our entrees, my wife ordered the duck fried rice. I am not the biggest fan of fried rice, but this was some of the best I ever had. The duck favor was prominent but not overwhelming and the pineapple was the best integrated I have ever experienced in a savory dish. I had leftover for lunch today and it was still quite good. I ordered the fish in chili oil, a bubbling, soupy dish covered in peppers. This was phenomenal, an excellent balance of heat, numbing, and flavor. And there was plenty of fish in the dish, as well. I will be hard pressed not to order this every time we come here in the future. We split the fried green beans (solid - crisp and well spiced), which I ate for breakfast over rice with some of the leftover fish. Again, it was still good. As my previous comments imply, serving sizes are large.

In person we ordered Mongolian beef, chili fish, cumin lamb, Szechuan chicken, a crispy pork belly dish that I can't remember the exact name, and kids broccoli fried shrimp. Loved everything but especially pleasantly surprised by the crispy pork belly dish. These dishes were way too spicy for me, should have heeded the warning when there are 3 chili symbols on the menu: chili fish, szechuan chicken.

My friend is craving dim sum after being in the country, visiting from Hong Kong for 3 weeks. My friend is quite tan, his mom is Filipino, but he grew up in HK and speaks mostly canto and Tagalog. We tried speaking Cantonese to the staff who are speaking it to each other, so they clearly can. My friend has perfect Cantonese. Mine is ok but I am also very clearly Chinese. They replied in broken English instead. One waitress looked at my friend and handed us forks. So clearly, some racism/colorism in the staff. Context: lots of Filipinos in HK are maids and generally looked down on, so not surprised this happened here. The food was mushy and gross. The shrimp in the cheung fan was grayish. It felt like they had this ready early in the morning and reheated it for later. Siu mai was falling apart. Cha siu bao was good but how do you mess that one up? I've gotten take out from this place before in the past and I always forget why I try to not come here, they forget something every time. At this point I'm sure they're doing it on purpose, like little thieves. Anyway, this place has the advantage of being close, with so little dim sum options in the area, unless you want to make the trip to Tysons or Vienna. Or Maryland. One staff member was laying down on a bunch of chairs nearby loudly watching something on her phone. Any other day, I wouldn't complain about that, everyone deserves a break. But given the food quality and the clear racism in the staff, they should be called out for everything. As with any Asian restaurant, feel free to treat me like trash if the food is good. But this place fails in both places.
