Dumpling District is a food stall at the new Luna Hall food court.  The counter staff is really helpful and, during the weekend lunch period, there was enough parking and enough seating.  It might get crowded though during the work week with the employees who work in the office building in which it is located.  The favorite dish that we ordered was the scallion pancake with beef.  It has a really nice, almost BBQ flavor.  The spring rolls were crisp and fine.  There were many options for dumplings.  We tried three types (mala, spicy pork, chicken soup) which were fine but the dumpling skin seemed a little thick and parts of it got hard.  The pork pan fried pot stickers were also fine.  The pork wontons in chili oil peanut sauce had a light peanut flavor.  I'm not sure if we would drive out of our way to eat here again, especially with so many other dumpling places to choose from.  We did, however, really appreciate the helpfulness of the staff.

I live in an…read morearea that doesn't have very much in the way of ethnic joints, so anytime I'm in the Northern VA area, I try to grab something to bring home and enjoy for dinner or lunch the next day. I used Toast to place my order and simply went in to pick it up and it was ready on time for my arrival. I re-heated what I got in the microwave oven and that didn't take long and it tasted great. I got their cumin beef and their long pepper chicken. Both had the correct, and diverse flavors I enjoy from "non-American-style" Chinese joints. The heat level was also perfect; nice & spicy!! The textures of the proteins were spot on. The amount of seasonings and everything were great too. Definitely would return!

I got recommended to this place by a fellow foodie friend, and I was impressed with the flavor! We…read morehave since come here four times, and will continue to come when we are craving Chinese food. So with no surprise, the food has a lot of chilis, but the spice is not overwhelming or the type to make you feel like your mouth is on fire. They have a decently sized menu and a few vegetarian option as well. They are transparent about what foods are gluten free, and the staff there are happy to go over those things with you and answer what questions you may have if you have certain allergies. Our favorite things to order here are the lazi chicken, and egg plant dish. We also enjoy the cauliflower. Their food comes with a personal size bowl of rice that is complimentary and does not cost extra. If you order to go, their food is done very quick, and a big majority of their orders are to go. The dining space is small, and can fit parties of 4 easily. It's not a vibey spot but if you're looking for good Chinese food, try this place out!

The original Rockville location has been quietly earning its reputation, and the McLean outpost…read morecarries the torch without skipping a beat. For a self-proclaimed Chinese food snob, that kind of consistency across locations isn't just appreciated -- it's rare. This is the place I bring family and friends visiting from out of town when I need to guarantee both quality and a good time. No hesitation, no asterisks. That's a short list. The menu hits two lanes perfectly: bold, soul-warming noodle soups and dry noodles loaded with zesty mix-ins that slap just as hard. The flounder with sour pickled cabbage noodle soup is the move if you want something that's simultaneously bright, funky, and deeply comforting. The spicy beef brisket in golden soup is pure richness -- the kind of broth you'd drink straight if no one was watching. On the dry noodle side, the Chongqing dry noodles bring the heat and the complexity you want from that style. Don't sleep on the small eats. The scallion pancakes and soup dumplings are legitimately all-star -- not afterthoughts, not filler. One pro tip: pay attention to the rotating specials once you've locked in your favorites. And you will have favorites. Probably after visit one. Casual setting, family-friendly vibe, top-tier food. Yu Noodle earns a permanent spot on the short list.

The beef ribs were really difficult to eat and the meat was not tender at all, it was much more tough and stringy than I expected. The steamed beef rice noodles also had no flavor, definitely would not recommend this dish or the beef ribs. The space was nice, there were a lot of larger tables as well as smaller tables for parties of 2 to 4. It wasn't too crowded when we went, a few larger groups and some young families. As other reviewers have noted, the service was sorely lacking. I noticed some of the servers were pleasant, but the lady who was serving us was pretty unfriendly and inattentive. She did not check on us even once to see if we needed more water. She just seemed annoyed and like she couldn't be bothered to do her job. There was another lady that did check on us near the end of our meal and she was very friendly, asked us if we needed any boxes, and offered to refill our water glasses for us. I guess your experience just depends on who you happen to get, but in my opinion, if you're that rude to customers, maybe you shouldn't be working in customer service. They do validate for parking in the lot and there's a garage that is for you for the first two hours. Overall, the prices at this restaurant are higher than is typical for dim sum. The space is nice, but for these prizes, I would expect a higher quality of food and definitely a higher quality in terms of service. I don't think that I'll be back to eat here.
