    Thai Iced Tea
    Kristen G.

Immediately loved the play on word Thaisons/Tysons since it encompasses 2 meanings (the type of food and the location). In addition to the positive reviews, we decided to spend our New Year's Day dinner here. Surprisingly, they were able to seat us right away despite our large group size. First impressions, the servers were very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. The decor is tastefully modern with an elevated look. There were also seasonally decorated with the Christmas lights and holiday furnishings. There are indoor and outdoor seatings available. They also have a garage door, which I assume opens in the summer, but even when it's closed during the winter you can feel a draft. Once we placed our food, they came out fairly quickly. For our appetizers, we ordered the Crispy Chive Dumplings (which are cute little cube-shaped dumplings) and the Duck Roti. For our meal, we ordered: Tofu & Vegetable Soup, Stir-Fried Garlic (Chicken), Sun-Dried Beef, Pad See Ew (Beef), Thaisons Pad Thai (Chicken), and the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Our beverages consisted: Thai Iced Tea, Mango Mojito, and Rose Lychee Tini. EVERYTHING was on point! Food came out nice, hot, flavorful, and delicious. I would say my only criticism is that the Pad Thai lacked the tanginess that I crave. There are 2 unisex restrooms, with 1 containing a changing table. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The food and service exceeded our expectations. We will be returning customers, for sure! Highly recommend!

    Chicken Thaisons Fried Rice

This restaurant has a fun atmosphere with a cool garage door leading to outdoor seating. The service was excellent. The food prices were incredibly expensive though. $20 for fried rice? The rice was good, but I asked for it to be medium spicy and there was so spice flavor at all. The quality of rice was good especially since it was served with a lime. It was not too heavy and was full of flavor. This is a good restaurant overall but be prepared for the prices.

    Pad See Ew

This is my new favorite Thai restaurant. The dishes are so good! I tried the beef pad see ew, chicken green curry, and fried spring rolls. Each dish was hot, fresh, and flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The service was attentive and kind. The dessert stole the show, it was a sweet warm cake with a scoop of vanilla, I am still thinking about it. Looking forward to coming back soon.

    Moo Ping Chicken Massaman Curry

The last time I came was right after they opened, and I was really impressed by the massaman curry. This time, I ordered the same dish, hoping it would live up to my memory -- and it absolutely did. It's still the best massaman curry I've ever had. On the staff's recommendation, we also tried the Moo Ping, which was surprisingly juicy and tender. I'll definitely be coming back again. The service was good overall, though a bit too attentive at times. I'd prefer if the staff didn't linger or rush to clear every small item from the table immediately.

Not bad! We stopped by since we were in the area to charge the car. We had pad see ew and the crying tiger steak along with some curry puffs as the appetizer. Inside is a casual dining experience, bar and lots of light coming through the windows on a sunny day. Decorations throughout the restaurant. Our waiter was great and helpful when we were trying to decide what to get and if you're torn I always look to the waiter to guide me the right way. Crying tiger steak jumped out at me since I've never seen or had it before. It was tasty! The sticky rice was nice and the steak itself was well cooked, chewy and with the fish sauce it was really good. I didn't want to follow and get the usual Thai curries or another dish that every Thai restaurant had. Crying tiger was one of the dishes that stood out and I was glad I got it. I would recommend to try this place out and if you're there to charge your car, you might as well come in, get an appetizer and a drink while you wait!

Very impressed with this restaurant! And it's hard for me to be impressed with Thai food. Very fairly priced with HUGE portions. Also good food and great service! The restaurant is beautiful and busy good vibes Fried calamari: one of the nights special. thick cut calamari with friend onions and basil on top. Highly recommend! Drunken noods: basic. Pretty good. Very generous with seafood/protein Papaya salad: we got the Laos style to try the fermented crab. The crab is super hard LOL. But besides that fresh/salty papaya salad Crying Tiger steak: really tender yum steak with yum sticky rice. Classic Fried tofu: pretty basic but super good. We crushed it lolol Overall good food. Would def recommend and would come back esp bc of the portions and price

    Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai
    Anthony N.

Stopped by here for dinner with some friends of mine. We wanted to try out a new Thai spot, so why not give this one a try. The Food: I went with the "Tom yum Chicken Soup" as my starter and the "Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai". The soup was good. That tom yum flavor hit the spot and I had no complaints. The Pad Thai however, was incredibly sweet and for some odd reason, wet. Noodles and proteins were cooked well, but the flavor profile was just way too sweet and tasted nothing like a Pad Thai dish I've had many times before. Was quite disappointed in this. The Service: Service was actually really good. The staff were very attentive and friendly. No complaints at all. The were very nice! The Atmosphere: Dining area was nicely decorated. Spaced well with plenty of seating. Was very pleasant inside. Overall, a 2/5. Wish the food would've tasted better and have more of that authentic feel.

    Thai dumplings

My family and I stopped in for lunch! I loved the decor inside and was excited that there was Thai street food on the menu. We started off with Thai dumpling (Ka noom jeeb). These were absolutely amazing! Freshly steamed you could taste the seasoned meat inside. The sweet-chili sauce was a great with these dumplings. We tried two other dishes: The moo ping and the rice topped with steamed chicken. The steamed chicken rice was just okay. The chicken was bland (should just be poached but still has good flavor) and the rice was just okay. Def. lacked the garlic and ginger flavors. The sauces that came with the chicken had a good kick to them. The moo ping was much better. 4 pork skewers that were grilled and glazed with sweet and savory sauce. It also came with a small thing of sticky rice. Overall my rating would be 3.5 stars. Not the best but decent! The portions are very small for the price you pay (especially the chicken rice). The service was very nice. Since it is open air there was a bunch of bugs and a huge wasp that flew in and got stuck by the window we were at. My daughter was scared by it :( Luckily this was the end of the meal and we could leave.

Absolutely delicious Thai food! The chicken satay was flavorful and tender, the pork belly with Chinese broccoli was perfectly cooked, and the crying tiger steak was outstanding. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. It's a cute spot..small but comfortable. I'll definitely be coming back!

    Panang Curry

can't stress this enough -- Thaison is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the Tysons area. Whether we dine in or get delivery, the food and service are consistently excellent every single time. I brought a friend here the other day for his first visit, and he said he just had the best Penang curry of his life -- which says a lot because it's also my favorite! That, and the Crying Tiger. The skirt steak is so good: tangy, sweet, and spicy, served with fragrant sticky rice. Absolutely delicious. Can't wait for my next visit

A very comfortable place with nice decor and mix of tables and booths. Excellent service every time. The food is delicious- Penang curry was a bit disappointing (too watery) but usually the dishes are delicious. The mussels were delicious and the basil fried rice with chicken were excellent. Always recommend the chicken satay. Busy parking area but plenty of space.

    Crying tiger beef
    Lily H.

We tried this place for lunch - service was really friendly and attentive from all wait staff. The one man who sat at the counter, the entire time (looked like an owner) never smiled. The boat noodle soup is one of the better ones in the area. Crying tiger steak sauce was good but the steak quality was abysmal - very tough and hard to chew. I also asked if the Thai iced tea was sweet, and was told it was average. Ordered one to go and couldn't drink more than a couple sips because it was literally sugar and milk. It didn't taste like there was any tea in it. Probably wouldn't go out of our way to be back here given this experience.

Cashew chicken and chicken pad Thai

Great place for lunch. Ordered the fried calamari and it was okay but the cashew chicken and pad Thai was delicious. Will definitely come again

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

The banchan they offer for every table is limited but some of the best I've had. They're simple but perfectly compliment the flavorful soup, and are good at cutting through the richness. The vegetable pancake is delicious and pairs well with everything, but kind of a pricey add on with a large portion size if you're alone or with another person so I often skip it even though I love it. It's also a small building so it can get kind of loud inside and feel a bit crowded during peak hours. But it at least stays very clean despite the amount of people coming through in such a small space.

Though it was tasty, it didn't have as much flavor as I had hoped.  We ordered it medium spicy as we were warned not to have the spice overwhelm the taste of the broth (we like spicy so it wasn't a matter of degree of heat.)  We brought some home as leftovers so we will see if it has a little more oomph after resting for a day.  The service was good and quick and we appreciated that extra utensils, napkins and to go containers were really easily accessible.  The lot is small when compared to the number of tables inside.  But, as the sign on the door states, you can park at the church across the street.

On a mid-Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was about ¾ full. We started out with the Wonton Soup and the Spicy Wonton soup. The Wonton soup is just okay, but the Spicy Wonton Soup is wonderful and highly recommended. For another appetizer, we ordered the Scallion Pancake. It has a nice dense texture and I really liked it. It would've been even better if it came with a dipping sauce. We also ordered the pickled cabbage. It was good, though lacking seasoning. Our first entrée was ground pork in a delicious sauce accompanied by sprouts and thinly sliced cucumber (or was that zucchini?). Recommended! Our second entrée was a Pan Fried Beef Bun. The beef was flavorful but the bread was kinda dry. Our last entrée was the Beef Wraps. These were great! Who woulda thunk that beef and fresh carrots would go together so well?! Oh, the chili sauce in a jar on the table is extra tasty. At the end, before we got our check, we were given a plate with sliced cucumbers in a light tasty sesame chili sauce. Excellent! But the hot tea was an epic fail. It had no flavor whatsoever. Peeking inside the teapot, all I could see was a micro tiny tea bag floating or sort of sinking. One other thing I kinda don't want to bring up in light of the great food we enjoyed, but need to in the spirit of full disclosure, is to mention that A&J shares space in the building with several other businesses. The restrooms are common to all the businesses. A&J needs to lean hard on the property owner/manager to do a deep cleaning in those restrooms. I'll leave it at that.

Our server seemed a bit impatient and abrupt when taking our order (we asked how many spring rolls come in each order, and added beef meatballs to one of our pho orders), but we were mainly there for the food. The space itself is roomy, casual and comfortable, with tables spaced and seated far enough apart to not feel crowded. We started with the pork and taro spring rolls, which came out hot, cut in half, and impressively crispy! (Just as a heads up so you don't get scolded like we did - the pork and taro spring rolls come with two per order, and the price for both is a great deal compared to most pho establishments!) For our mains, we ordered three pho bowls and one dry noodle dish. The pho arrived warm, and adding bean sprouts cooled it down further rather than cooking them through. The dry noodle dish, on the other hand, was excellent in flavor, though also not very hot - likely due to the fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber) mixed in. Overall, a solid, filling meal, even if the service and the temperature of the food could be improved. Why we keep coming back: The Pho Sate is absolutely exceptional - we've tried this dish at countless Vietnamese restaurants over the years, and honestly can't find it done this well anywhere else. We've been eating this sauce for over a decade and it never gets old. If you love bold, authentic flavors, this alone is worth the visit. Consistently friendly and attentive staff - over all these years, the service has remained excellent. Why this deserves 5 stars: When you return to the same restaurant for over a decade, it's because they're doing everything right. The consistency in food quality, the authentic flavors, the warm hospitality - all of it has kept us coming back year after year.
