We were a party of 8 visiting on Saturday night. Showed up without reservation so obviously had to wait for 30mins but the food was well worth it! The drinks, the red/green curry, the pad thai and pad kee mao were sumptuous! The ambiance is well thought through and if you are drunk enough, you can expect the ceiling decor to look like mushrooms. In addition to the positive reviews, we decided to spend our New Year's Day dinner here. Surprisingly, they were able to seat us right away despite our large group size. First impressions, the servers were very accommodating, attentive, and friendly. The decor is tastefully modern with an elevated look. There were also seasonally decorated with the Christmas lights and holiday furnishings. There are indoor and outdoor seatings available. They also have a garage door, which I assume opens in the summer, but even when it's closed during the winter you can feel a draft. Once we placed our food, they came out fairly quickly. For our appetizers, we ordered the Crispy Chive Dumplings (which are cute little cube-shaped dumplings) and the Duck Roti. For our meal, we ordered: Tofu & Vegetable Soup, Stir-Fried Garlic (Chicken), Sun-Dried Beef, Pad See Ew (Beef), Thaisons Pad Thai (Chicken), and the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Our beverages consisted: Thai Iced Tea, Mango Mojito, and Rose Lychee Tini. EVERYTHING was on point! Food came out nice, hot, flavorful, and delicious. I would say my only criticism is that the Pad Thai lacked the tanginess that I crave. There are 2 unisex restrooms, with 1 containing a changing table. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The last time I came was right after they opened, and I was really impressed by the massaman curry. This time, I ordered the same dish, hoping it would live up to my memory -- and it absolutely did. It's still the best massaman curry I've ever had. On the staff's recommendation, we also tried the Moo Ping, which was surprisingly juicy and tender. I'll definitely be coming back again. Our waiter was great and helpful when we were trying to decide what to get and if you're torn I always look to the waiter to guide me the right way. Crying tiger steak jumped out at me since I've never seen or had it before. It was tasty! The sticky rice was nice and the steak itself was well cooked, chewy and with the fish sauce it was really good. Stopped by here for dinner with some friends of mine. We wanted to try out a new Thai spot, so why not give this one a try. The Food: I went with the "Tom yum Chicken Soup" as my starter and the "Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai". The soup was good. That tom yum flavor hit the spot and I had no complaints. The Pad Thai however, was incredibly sweet and for some odd reason, wet. Noodles and proteins were cooked well, but the flavor profile was just way too sweet and tasted nothing like a Pad Thai dish I've had many times before. Was quite disappointed in this. My family and I stopped in for lunch! I loved the decor inside and was excited that there was Thai street food on the menu. We started off with Thai dumpling (Ka noom jeeb). These were absolutely amazing! Freshly steamed you could taste the seasoned meat inside. The sweet-chili sauce was a great with these dumplings. We tried two other dishes: The moo ping and the rice topped with steamed chicken. The steamed chicken rice was just okay. The chicken was bland (should just be poached but still has good flavor) and the rice was just okay. Def. lacked the garlic and ginger flavors. The sauces that came with the chicken had a good kick to them. The moo ping was much better. 4 pork skewers that were grilled and glazed with sweet and savory sauce. It also came with a small thing of sticky rice. Overall my rating would be 3.5 stars. Not the best but decent! The portions are very small for the price you pay (especially the chicken rice). The service was very nice. Since it is open air there was a bunch of bugs and a huge wasp that flew in and got stuck by the window we were at. The boat noodle soup is one of the better ones in the area. Crying tiger steak sauce was good but the steak quality was abysmal - very tough and hard to chew. I also asked if the Thai iced tea was sweet, and was told it was average. Ordered one to go and couldn't drink more than a couple sips because it was literally sugar and milk. We ordered take out from here. I've been looking for my new favorite Thai place closer to home, since my current has been Chao phra Ya in Herndon over the years. We ordered the pad thai to keep things simple to see how it is before ordering a bunch of other items we love like curries and duck since they're on the pricier side. We ordered it as a medium spice in case it was too much, but it couldn't have been more mild. I don't think any spice was added at all. But, I'm Asian so my taste buds could be a little skewed with tolerance, just overall it was missing a ton of flavor as it is (spice or not). The side of rice is also the same price for about 1/2 of what you get at other Thai places. Unfortunately, I'll stick with my usual spot and keep my search going. read more

I tried the duck roti app and the duck tasted off to me so I picked those pieces out. I also tried the pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and it was so dry! No flavor at all and the chicken was hard. I'm being really generous giving this place even 2 stars. Pros: ambiance is nice Cons: terrible service, mediocre to okay-ish food, secret upcharge Came with a group of friends on a Saturday. Got seated pretty quickly and we all ordered food at the same time. After a while, they brought out some of the food, but our remaining two friends sat there for 40 minutes(!!) without food. I'm almost certain they gave it to a different group on accident because it was one of the "common" orders at thai places - Pad See Ew and fried rice. The angering part was their attitude. They didn't apologize or even seem the least bit sorry about it. When we asked where the food was as it usually comes out at similar times for groups, the waiter snapped at us saying, "do you want to cancel?!" Um... no sir. We just want our food? And possibly at similar times since we came as a group and not 40 minutes between a batch? And perhaps a politer attitude towards your customers who have a right to ask where the food is? To make it worse, it's not like the food was great, you know? Look at my panang curry! I ate it because I was hungry and I'm paying for it, but for what I paid, I have many other (and better) thai restaurants I can choose from. Finally a cherry on top - they automatically included a service charge (18%) - not happy about it as they didn't deserve it, but for a group it's pretty standard so bleh whatever. BUT they charged us for an extra dish we didn't even order and then included that service charge on top. Lol. Listen, I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they made a mistake. But the whole experience was so. not. it. Is this worth it ya'll? Not in my books. Run.
