    Beef Tofu Soup

After a night out, we were looking for some good food and something soupy. This place is open 24 hours and has a pretty large menu for all your Korean cravings (even at 2AM). We got the tofu soup and clam noodle soup which were both pretty good. These were not the best we've had but were a decent portion and definitely hit the spot. Decent spot that has good food at all hours of the day. Entrees: Beef Tofu Soup and Clam Noodle Soup

We've been to Tosokchon Korean Restaurant multiple times already, and you could say it's one of our favorite Korean spots. The fact that they're open 24/7 is such a huge plus, we can come anytime we're craving Korean food! In our opinion, they serve some of the best authentic Korean food in the Annandale area. Their kimchi is especially delicious and full of flavor. This time, we ordered the spicy tofu soup (both seafood and beef) and bibimbap, and everything tasted amazing, comforting, flavorful, and very satisfying. We highly recommend Tosokchon to anyone looking for authentic Korean food, and we'll definitely keep coming back in the future!

This spot is a good go-to place for comfort korean food. Their menu is pretty large and offers many korean classic dishes including stews, noodles, appetizers, etc. and always has good portions for the price. I especially love getting their cold noodles, although it's only served seasonally around June - September. I do think some of the stews tend to lack a bit of flavor and feels a bit watered down at times. Overall it's a very humble, no-frills experience and service is quick and efficient.

It's been years since I went to tosokchon so didn't realized they had moved to a larger location! Service was prompt and helpful. Food was spot on and reliable as always. The new space is pretty big and they have an efficient take out system.

Not bad. Came on a weekday for lunch, very good service, not that many people so it was quiet. Loved the pickled radishes, not a big fan of the kimchi. Really liked the hot rice tea they served, one of the better ones I've had, super aromatic and soothing, at a good temperature. Dolpan bibimbap was really hearty -- lots of different vegetables and it was cooked well. I really enjoyed this dish. Bossam wasn't my favorite. The pork was a bit thinly sliced and the pork wasn't as fatty or tender as I'd like. The accompaniments to the pork weren't that great. Seafood pancake was packed with seafood, and it was a super large portion. It was a bit on the greasy side however. Overall, place was pretty good. Surprised I've never noticed it because I've been in the shopping center many times for Iron Age and Shilla's.

They significantly improved services. Food is nice, I tried chicken ginsen soup and pig trotter. I recommend this place now.

Great spot for late night vibes! I always get their galbi, it's tender and falls right off the bone! The service is good, and will give you more rice if you need it. The water tastes different like rice water, and I love it!

Was craving some Korean food for lunch at work so decided to Uber eats at this location. I ordered the bulgolgi bibimbap and my friend a tofu stew. I loved my bibimbap but my friend felt her stew was a bit too spicy. Service takes awhile, my food took over an hour to make and deliver so be thoughtful about ordering ahead if you have a short lunch break. Will have to visit the actual location sometime to get a sense of the vibe but would definitely order again.

Tosokchon is a very casual Korean restaurant with a nice selection of entrees and appetizers. The portions were a good size and the service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the scallion pancake for an appetizer and the bibimbop and the kimchi stew with beef. We would definitely return to order those again. Though there is not much in the way of décor, the space is clean and the tables are comfortable. There is a parking lot right out front.

This is one of old school Korean family own looking restaurant. Their menu is large but not overwhelming. Looks like a good amount of soup and rice dishes. Their service is straight forward where they take your order, deliver your food and fill water when needed. It was not very busy when we ate on Friday night. We got Galbi Tang, DookBaeKi Bulgogi, Dolpan Bibimbap, Jaeyuk Bokkeum and a LA Galbi to share. The Galbi Tang soup is subtle but hardy tasting. It would be excellent for a cold day. The DookBaeKi was an unexpectedly sweet base soup. First time trying it so guessing that is how it is. The Bibimbap has a lot of vegetable than normal. The stone bowl is wider than usual making it easier to mix everything together. The Jaeyuk has a good amount of meat but for me it was more shredded than I would like. The LA Galbi has a generous amount of meat. Maybe I have not gone to a traditional Korean restaurant as I miss the side dishes that one gets at BBQ K restaurants. They only have 2 dishes. A pickled radish dish and Kimchi dish. There are more dishes to try if/when we go back.

3.5 stars. Open 24/7. Many a times I had to figure out what tk eat at 2:30 am and I wanted beef! Look no further, they are open all the time! The seasoning on their meats are excellent and generous portions. The banchan selection (accompanying sides) are quite limited when I ate and only got kimchi and pickled daikon. The service usually seems off-putting since the times I went I always had to either ask for something twice or remind them about what we requested earlier.

We have not been here for breakfast but It was very good and they have breakfast specials for $10.

For a restaurant that prides on their 24-hour service, the food is hot, well-spiced, and service was fast. My friend and arrived at midnight and the restaurant, at first, had few available tables by the time we left, all tables were filled. It's a definite hotspot for locals who have kept it a secret.

I'm thinking that many people who come here know already what they want, because even before we cracked open our menus, the server was immediately at our table expecting us to place our order. When we told her we weren't ready yet, she left, but came back less than a minute later and then stood there waiting for us to place our order. So I ordered the Sullangtang, which is bone broth with brisket and noodles. JP ordered the Yukgaejang, a spicy red broth with veggies and flank steak. We also ordered the fried dumplings. I don't know if the fried dumplings were vegetable or pork, but they were very good, made even better with a delicious dipping sauce. As hoped, banchan was served with our meal, but was just cubes of daikon radish (kkakdugi) and kimchi. The kkakdugi and kimchi were fresh and tasty. Even if the Sullantang recipe is traditional, I was disappointed. The broth was thin and very bland. However, I was able to jazz it up and make it into a pretty good soup by adding spoonfuls of the Yukgaejang broth and the fried dumpling sauce, plus salt and pepper. The Yukgaejang, topped with crispy noodles, was the better of the two soups. It had a lively flavor and as billed on the menu, was indeed spicy. The menu is limited, almost exclusively vegetable and beef dishes, but there is a seafood pancake and whelk (mollusk) dish. No chicken or pork dishes. Overall, our experience was decent and we would certainly consider returning. Shin Chon has plenty of off-street parking.

We ordered a spread: gyoza with sweet and spicy sauce, kimchi pancakes, fried shrimp, soy garlic wings, takoyaki, LA galbi, and jjampong with noodles... plus way too many drinks. We arrived early and scored prime seats by the bar, which turned out to be perfect, especially once the night shifted into more of a club vibe with a DJ. The energy was great, and most of the food was surprisingly delicious -- everything hit except the jjampong. We were expecting udon noodles, but it came with thin, clear noodles instead, and the flavor was a bit off for us. That said, the staff handled everything perfectly, and it didn't take away from the rest of the experience. Between the food, drinks, and nightlife atmosphere, we had an awesome time and will definitely be back.
