Would leave a better review except that after we left, we realized we never received some of the skewers we ordered :( went on a weekday to avoid the crowd, but the servers just lost track of the items being brought to the table Service timing is consistent, they bring the items out in waves based on when cooking is done

This was my second visit here, and both times on a Saturday evening the restaurant wasn't very busy. I also had the same server both times and he is super friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Makguksu, Jokbal and got a free side of fries with the wheel spinning thing they had going on. The Jokbal was very fresh and good quality, the Makguksu was refreshing and a good pairing to the jokbal. Fries were shockingly good too- super crispy and fresh. I loved that the portion sizes of everything were huge and we left very satisfied. No complaints here, I can see this place being a good option if you want a more chill pocha experience with good food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior gives a very classic trendy bar vibes and there was also a photo booth off to the side which was a fun surprise![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was our first time at Chung Dam and we would definitely come back! Everything we ordered was really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was chill, perfect for enjoying dinner and having a nice conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorite dish was the rose spicy tteokbokki, it was creamy, slightly sweet, and super flavorful all at once. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

In terms of the food, possibly the best pocha in the dmv area. I especially love their matguksoo and malatang. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is very private and quiet[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and service is fast and great. I've visited this pocha many times, but I'll continue to visit it when I go back to DC!

We came here for a friend's birthday celebration and the food was perfect. It's really high quality 안주 (food you eat while drinking). The service here is also great with all the employees being really kind and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's two floors, upstairs being the main seating area while downstairs is Sai Yakitori but you can order off both menus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend the chicken skin yakitori and potato pancake. The price of soju here was also standard ($14)

A lot of mixed feelings on this review but I had to give them 5 stars because of how kind everyone was and affordable dinner was too. I ended up winning a gift card to this restaurant on instagram so decided to check this place out with my boyfriend. It's located on the corner of a small shopping strip with plenty of parking. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately. Service was great, but what bothered me was that they didn't really distinguish the difference between the 1st and 2nd floor. From my understanding, the first floor is more so lounge bites and small dishes. Upstairs would be actually Chung Dam experience --and essentially where I could use my gift card. The staff kept also telling me that the giveaway was closed, but I had to show them the conversation of me picking up the gift card in order to claim its use. There may have been a language barrier but otherwise everything worked out in the end. Now for the food, my boyfriend and I ordered the kimchi fried rice and the jokbal (pork feet). All of which were REALLY good. But seriously, it was so much food, definitely needed another 2 people to finish our meal.

About a 1.5: I'm sorry to do this to you, Chung Dam, but our most recent visit wasn't a great one. We've tried the Kimchi Pancake, the Cheese Sticks (aka, mozzarella sticks), the Gae Ran Mahri (aka, a Korean-style omelette), the Mak Guk Soo, the Yet Nahl Tong Dak, the Kimchi Jjigae, and the Tteokbokki. The Tteokbokki was nothing like what was portrayed in the photos on their menu, as it came out as more like a soup - it was thin, overly spicy, and the fishcakes were mushy. The Kimchi Jjigae, which was really good on one visit, was a total fail on our subsequent one - it didn't seem to be warmed up at all, as it was room temperature (almost cold-like) - this was a no-no. The Cheese Sticks, which initially were hot, crispy, and cheesy, seemed to have been left out for a while, as they weren't piping hot and the cheese had already hardened up. Service, as always, was friendly. I'm thinking it's best when they are super packed, so you'll know what you receive will be made-to-order and come out fresh... otherwise, if you come during non-peak times, it's just not going to be the same. Not sure if we'd return due to the consistency issues. Plenty of parking in the plaza lot. +inconsistency issues +friendly staff +located on the 2nd floor +plenty of parking in the plaza

We went for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was empty. It definitely got busier and busier as it got later, it seems like most people come for drinks. The food was great, well priced and with good portion size! The bossam was different from what I'm used to seeing but still good, and the jokbal was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good place to come with a group of friends![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The dishes were delicious, with generous portions, freshly prepared, seasoned well, and reasonably priced. Chung Dam Pork Knuckles was one of the dishes that we really liked and served warm unlike other restaurants that serves same dish. The service was top-notch, with an amiable and professional server. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cozy interior made us feel like we were in Seoul.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We ordered a spread: gyoza with sweet and spicy sauce, kimchi pancakes, fried shrimp, soy garlic wings, takoyaki, LA galbi, and jjampong with noodles... plus way too many drinks. We arrived early and scored prime seats by the bar, which turned out to be perfect, especially once the night shifted into more of a club vibe with a DJ. The energy was great, and most of the food was surprisingly delicious -- everything hit except the jjampong. We were expecting udon noodles, but it came with thin, clear noodles instead, and the flavor was a bit off for us. That said, the staff handled everything perfectly, and it didn't take away from the rest of the experience. Between the food, drinks, and nightlife atmosphere, we had an awesome time and will definitely be back. If you're looking for a spot that delivers on both taste and fun without compromise, this is it.

I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I think people should be aware before visiting…read more JMT has a clean environment and is usually a fun place to watch games. Unfortunately, I have not had a good service experience here. I visited a couple of times during the World Cup because of their advertised drink specials, and both visits ended with us being overcharged. When we questioned it, the staff gave what felt like the same rehearsed explanation each time. Before ordering, we specifically confirmed with our server that they were running the $5 rail drink special. By definition, a rail (or well) drink is made with the house liquor and a standard mixer. At JMT, however, you'll be charged extra for every little addition without anyone telling you beforehand. A splash of cranberry juice or tonic water resulted in additional charges that were never mentioned by either the server or the bartenders. On top of that, a 25% gratuity was automatically added despite our server being largely inattentive. Throughout the night, we repeatedly had to get up and ask for things ourselves, and not everyone at our table even received a cup for water. To make matters worse, both their menu and website clearly state that automatic gratuity applies to parties of 8 or more, yet our party of 6 was automatically charged 25%. When we brought these concerns to our server, he spoke with the manager, whose response was simply, "That's how we do things here." He explained that he wasn't familiar with the drinks because the bartenders determine the charges, and that it would be difficult to void and reprocess the bill. We were also told that they always add 25% gratuity for parties of 6 and that, in their view, a rail is simply a shot rather than a mixed well drink. Those explanations directly contradict both common industry terminology and the information advertised on their own menu and website. I understand that restaurants and bars get busy, and mistakes happen. What was disappointing was being told that they've been operating this way for a long time instead of acknowledging the inconsistencies or updating their advertised policies. That reflects poor management more than an isolated mistake. It doesn't feel good to invite friends somewhere only to have everyone end up paying more than expected because the advertised specials and gratuity policies don't match what is actually charged. I can't say how often this happens, but after experiencing it on multiple visits, I'd strongly recommend reviewing your bill carefully before paying.

Security Guards were noticeable and polite. Drinks $15. Perrier, sparkling water $7. I did not order any food. I came here to see Charlie Aponte from Puerto Rican Power and he put on an absolutely amazing show. He has a great voice, tons of energy and danced the entire time. He's someone's grandpa and he was straight fire!!! They had three sections, and three different ticket prices . Seated or VIP tables in the front, semi-VIP which was standing behind the VIP, and then general admission, more standing in the back. There's even more seating areas by the first bar when you first enter. The venue is not bad. I've been coming to Diamond Lounge since forever. Great space for dancing. They play mostly Latin music like salsa, merengue, bachata. The crowd and environment totally depends upon who they're catering to. I've never had any problems because I usually go for special events, live concerts, etc. Plenty of bands and singers perform here and come from many places like Cuba, NY, Puerto Rico, DR, etc. Sometimes local Go-Go bands have shows here as well. The AC could be improved. It can get pretty warm in there. Bottome line, Diamond Lounge could use some upgrades, but overall I haven't had any issues. People come to hear the music, dance and enjoy themselves. But it really depends upon the crowd and who they're catering to.
