    Certified Kobe Beef
    Tony T.

This place is an absolute must try if you are looking to indulge in quality food while being served by excellent, knowledgeableX and friendly staff. It should be noted the menu is a little pricey but well worth it especially if you are celebrating a big occasion. We were very impressed with the menu offering and absolutely had to get the Kobe Beef because there are only a handful of places you can get Kobe beef served with this type of quality. They present the certificate of authenticity which really adds to the experience. The beef was cooked delicately with a light sear and served medium rare which goes the perfect buttery bite. Highly recommend. We also got the pork jowl and the kurobuta pork belly. Normally the pork belly is a bit but it was pretty average so I'll probably pass next time. The pork jowl was really tasty and had a nice bite. You can just eat meat if you want to get the full experience. We highly recommend the steamed egg as well as the tuna with taro chips for the perfect balanced meal. Can't say enough great things about this place... looking forward to coming again!

Yummy Japanese BBQ / sushi spot in Mosaic. I will note though I found the sushi better than the meats.

One of my best mom friends and I decided to go to dinner last minute with all of our kids. I was definitely nervous because our two toddlers are a little on the crazy side. I think what probably made our service and Guy Shige stand out the most is our server Laila. She was very accommodating with bringing us multiple high chairs and taking our orders almost as soon as we sat down. We ordered a lot of food and wanted to try multiple drinks and Laila really took her time explaining all the different drinks and making great ig worth recommendations. During dinner there were multiple times where our crazy toddlers threw items on the floor etc and Laila was quick to come by and sweep things up and replace utensils etc. All of the food and drinks were delicious and we truly had a great time. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant is our go-to when in the mood for Japanese bbq. Outstanding service, fresh food, and family friendly ambiance. Get everything on the menu!!

Warm welcome and very attentive staff. It was my first time visiting and didn't understand why a hostess mentioned the 90 minute limit. The restaurant was pretty empty but I assume it's to make sure people don't stick around to talk for hours. I think we went over the time but nobody came to remind us during our stay. The appetizers were delicious such as the seaweed salad. The sushi was amazing! Seafood pancake was pipping hot. Now the meats, I will say that they were extremely delicious but very pricey. I think I'll stick to my regular Korean all you can eat spots and keep this Japanese steakhouse for very special events. Also the desserts were amazing. The decor is beautiful with a relic g Japanese theme.

Halloween night! Decided on gyu shige after a few other restaurant options. We were seated pretty quickly and had attentive staff. The toro tartare was okay..the meat and rice was the main event!! My boyfriend cooked the meat perfectly and it melted in your mouth. There was enough to try in each of the three sauces. I wish they gave u some other side dishes like a soup or small salad dish to cleanse the palate haha. We didn't try the wagyu this time but might next time.

3.5 Rounded up to 4 Ambiance is nice and elegant. Service was good. Food was good. I wasn't blown away, especially if I compare this to other Japanese BBQ restaurants we've been to in the area and in different states. The meat wasn't bad quality, but it wasn't "omg it's melt in your mouth" good. The sauces were OK as well. I will say that our favorite was the prime short rib and the marinated brisket. The sushi was good too. The appetizers were good as well. Overall, I don't have anything bad to say about this place. It just wasn't above-and-beyond to stand out, so I'm not raving over it. Will I come back here? Probably not. I think I get the most out of AYCE with the same quality (if not, better) meat. However, this is a good option if you're on a date and aren't starving for more. *Note: This is not AYCE. It is ala carte.

Very good quality! We ordered a variety of meats and was not disappointed. We also enjoyed the presentation as it matched the quality of the meat!

Third time visiting and still just as good! Now, wishing yakiniku in the US wasn't considered high-end, BUT the meats here are premium and quality, along with the service and experience! Hot Appetizers - I'm a fan of their Lotus Salad, love the crispy lotus root chips and whatever dressing they used! And I loved the little tofu bits! And loved a good grilled squid hehe For the meats, I loved the rib fingers, brisket, and prime short ribs! Rich, juicy, and savory! Now what was interesting to me was that some of meats were marinated, but not complaining LOL On each serving, there's a little card identifying the meat and how long to it for, which is quite helpful.

Gyu Shige is half delicious meal out and half performance as you play the role of chef at your table.  The staff makes this very easy to do with easy to understand instructions and any help you may need.  We had a great time working together as a team to place, time, turn and serve the various cuts of meat and fish we enjoyed.  We used our phone as a timer but it might have been nice to have a set of small hour glasses on the table or other timers there just in case.  The meats we chose were the brisket, spicy pork belly and hangar steak.  We also grilled the miso salmon which merrily bubbled in its tinfoil boat on the grill.  All the meats were tender and tasty (thank you chef!    )  To round out our lunch, we had the seafood pancake which was crispy and a good size.  The gyozo came with a yummy skirt fried around the edges and the tempura were also nice and crunchy.  The space is large and comfortable and, on a cold day, that little brazier in the middle of your table is awesome for warming everyone up!  The service was super. Everyone was very helpful and always ready with a refill of tea or recommendations.  Gyu Shige was the perfect choice for lunch during this snowy winter.

I've been eyeing this place for a while. We ordered the garlic fried rice and karaage chicken. The rice was rich, you could tell it was cooked in butter. Very flavorful without an overpowering garlic flavor. The chicken was great. Mildly salty but nice and crispy. There was a boiled egg dipping sauce paired with the chicken that was absolutely delicious. The chicken was the clear winner. We ordered through a food delivery service so can't speak to the dining experience but the food was pretty good.

This is our favorite place to go to celebrate. The food is always amazing and the staff is awesome. There is a welcoming environment and a classy but enjoyable feeling. We love the short rib the best. All of their cocktails are amazing. Absolutely recommend for any occasion, celebrations, dates, or even holidays.

I've been to Guy Shige and I'll definitely be going again. From the moment you step foot in the door you feel this welcoming environment! Seated quickly and then greeted by some incredibly friendly people. Our server had some great advice as we were ordering, taking into account or preferences for beef with the zucchinis and king oyster mushrooms, he helped us add a hanger steak cut for variety in marbling and taste. He was attentive, while keeping our waters full and our humors high. The meal was exceptional and easily so much cheaper than expected for what we got.

It was beautifully served and packaged and came with an edible flower. Some of the sashimi was rolled into a rose too. It was very eye pleasing. Typically, not always but sometimes when things are beautifully shown the taste is mediocre. Not with Japomen, it was beautiful and very tasty. The platter does not come with salad or miso soup like other sushi platters but that's fine for us since we don't really have a need for them. It is something to consider. The platter brings 66 pieces for $120, for what you get it's a good deal.

If you are in the need of a nice warm yummy broth - then you will not be disappointed by the halal chicken ramen. This is by the far the tastiest ramen I have ever had. ( also - add spice to your order because it needs that extra "kick"). We usually order one bowl and I do ask them for an extra bowl so that we can half it between two people. It is quite a lot for one person. ( well for me anyway). I can only comment on two types of sushi that I tried and every time I had it - well it was delicious. The salmon and avocado rolls and the red dragon roll. You just can't go wrong on that order. The ambience - they have booth tables and there are signs that say you should not clean your table after you are done as they clean up - which is awesome. Drinks are in the refrigerator on the side so you can help yourself to that when you purchase it. You can order at the counter or from a self service kiosk ( they only have one - which is quite annoying when you have to wait to order). If I had to think of a few minor improvements - they have soy sauce on the tables but I wish they had a low sodium soy sauce to offer as well. I also think that if the place got busy ordering would be an issue as they have one person taking orders and one self service kiosk. But those items are minor and I will always keep coming back for the delicious food!

I'd recommend getting the chili oil to complete the taste if you are ok with a little spicy. The marinated beef was cooked to perfection in the Sukiyaki. I also tried their seaweed salad which tasted fresh and had the right amount of seasoning. And their Takoyaki was cooked perfectly and had a good amount of octopus inside. Restaurant inside is bit on the small side but they do have bar counter-style seating too. Tables have been on the cleaner side compared to other restaurants of this price range. For the uninitiated, abura soba is a brothless ramen where the magic happens at the bottom of the bowl. A savory aromatic oil and tare base sit beneath springy, chewy noodles, topped with a silky poached egg and classic ramen accoutrements. The key is to mix thoroughly -- really commit -- until the egg emulsifies with the oil and sauce, coating every strand in glossy, umami-packed richness. The texture is the standout. The noodles have a satisfying chew that holds up against the weight of the oil without becoming heavy. It's indulgent but not cloying. The customization element elevates the experience: a drizzle of chili oil adds warmth and depth, while a splash of vinegar cuts through the richness with bright acidity. Dial it in to your preference and the bowl transforms in real time. If you're a fan of Chinese scallion oil noodles or Korean jajangmyeon, you'll recognize the comfort-food DNA here -- but abura soba feels more refined and layered. The flavor is concentrated, savory, and deeply satisfying without relying on broth. This is the kind of spot that knows exactly what it is and executes with confidence. A refreshing change from the ramen norm and absolutely worth the visit. Bonus points for the casual kid friendly atmosphere and also offering traditional soup ramen and donburi for less adventurous dining companions.

We went and got the AYCE premium menu (which is ridiculous that you have to choose the premium for nigiri and sashimi but whatever), and upon seating they give you a paper menu to write down your order. We got their premium box which is like $25 or $26 off of their à la cart menu and while it's super pretty to look at it was disgusting. The Wagyu was thick, slimy, and chewy and made me want to throw up. The toro had wayyyyy too much wasabi in it and felt like torture to eat. The other two pieces were ok but if I paid à la for it I'd be PISSED. The rolls and nigiri and sashimi were a mixed bag, some were okay, some were slimy, and some were just dry. The cooked food was decent but not very flavorful, my siblings favorite dish of the night was the cooked bulgogi which I found to be chewy and you guessed it, flavorless. Service left much to be desired, there's an hour 30 minute time limit on AYCE and you get four rounds total. They take your paper in the back to put in your order and don't bring it back out until all of your order has come out(which fair), but it takes about 30ish minutes per round and having to flag someone down to take your paper back is a pain. I think if they had tablets or maybe a call button that would be better? Unsure. Regardless the food quality needs a major upgrade to make it worth the price.

I was really excited for the beef ramen, but it was a massive letdown. The beef itself was super tough and lacked flavor. While the broth was well balanced and clean, there simply wasn't enough of it - even though I asked to skip the corn.
