Friendly and very tasty all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue. The kimchi and the beans were both nice apps, as was the JapChae. The standout meat was the honey butter squid, cooked to perfection. The spicy pork and the Hawaiian bulgogi were both really good. The chicken had an odd taste, so I'd skip that one, and the pork jowl was a crap cut of meat. We will be back again, and get some sake next time, too.

Wanted to check this place out due to the great menu and $35 all you can eat. Service was attentive and waiter tried his best to handle multiple tables. There were a few times that he missed a few things but completely understand as he was managing quite a few tables. I enjoyed the efficiency of the fans. There were times when the grill got very smoky and the fans sucked all the smoke right out. All the meats were great! Even the intestines. The sides could improve a bit. The salad was not as fresh and the corn cheese felt like canned corned mixed with some mozzarella cheese without much flavor. Overall a nice experience and plan to visit again.

Not high on my list as my favorite ayce bbq places in the area. Service was great. They handled cooking everything which I always appreciate. Most things were good but corn cheese wasn't really cheesy vs it just being in cream. The Hawaiian bulgogi wasn't very good and it kind of just fell apart. We had to ask several times for the same thing as they wouldn't bring it out. Otherwise everything else was pretty good.

Meat Project continues to be consistently good at the new location here located in Fairfax. Already a trek to visit the original location, this cuts the travel time by half and already leaves me thrilled that more of my friends are willing to meet me here for Korean BBQ. As usual, it's like any other KBBQ place. The whole table has to decide if they want the AYCE option; not ifs or buts about ordering for yourself here. Afterwards, you pick your two meats of choice and sides. If you are familiar with beef brisket, bulgogi, pork belly, steak, chicken, shrimp, ect.. then you are in familiar territory. You can opt to cook it yourself but the server does like to come by to adjust the heat so the grease doesn't flare up, or they just like to help make sure your meat is cooked well. KBBQ places tend to be a place where it's loud, with 2000's club music playing, and just the sounds of meat sizzling away. You will definitely come home smelling like meat, and probably will have the meat sweats afterwards too. What is there other to say than this place knows how to do KBBQ great and I will be back for more!

Service was spectacular. I was surprised as to how small the restaurant was but we got really lucky and were seated right away on a Saturday night at 8:30 PM. Again, the waiter was super attentive and helpful. However, the food was bland and sweet. I could not tell the differences between the sauces except that that were different colors. The panchan was not great. It's probably the cheapest AYCE place in the area but I still would pay more for flavor and quality.

I can't count how many times we've been here now. This review is long overdue. We first came for my birthday in March 2024. We've been back so many times since then usually with my sister in law and another friend. Meat Project is our go to spot after NovaHop, a Tuesday night prayer meeting at Whole Word Fellowship church in Oakton. The owner knows us and is always happy to see us. Meat Project has a cool vibe and plays music we all grew up listening to so that is something we always laugh about. We always leave satisfied and usually are back within a few weeks

We had the best service I've ever had at kbbq. I like that they have other dishes included such as cheese corn and Japchae. Meat options were extensive and they played 2000s throwbacks. I do wish their AC was working better they had fans set up.

Where is the rice? Please stuff it next time

Have you been here before? "No" Scan that. That's how our conversation started, the waitress was not friendly, never smiled, and made me feel not welcomed. We ordered sides and the salad was so small that I wouldn't even consider it a personal portion. When we asked for another one since we were more than 1 person, she told us that she couldn't bring another one until we were done with that one first. From a business perspective - letting your customers get full from side dishes saves you from getting them full of your meats. Same with the rice, why is it not filled to the brim of the plate? I did not feel good having to constantly ask for more rice. The only good thing about this visit was the food, the cheesy corn was delicious! We ordered it 3x. We asked for sauces and it took a while to get them. Our server never asked if we wanted drinks just brought water. Your employees are in need of serious training and your restaurant some reevaluation. Best Giuliana

if you love kbbq and 2010s-current music this is the place to be!! 35ish per person and you can choose anything from beef to shrimp to squid to pork they have a lot of variety at a good price. Try the cheese corn it's a MUST. Service is pretty quick but I will say when it gets busy it gets busy but overall staff is attentive and makes sure you're doing good!

I loved the other location so when i first found out there was a closer one to me I was soo excited. I can definitely tell the quality is not as great as other kbbq places in the area, but it makes sense considering the type of meats available for the price. I think its so worth it especially if you want more unique meats at this price point, like gopchang and pork jowl. Loved all the meats i got, my one comment is the brisket was THICK which i wasn't used to. Yummy banchans and quick service, my go to ayce for their varied options!

Gopchang is so good not hard to chew

The chips and guacamole was enjoyable. Nothing special about the chips but they did the job, The guacamole was very tasty and a large enough portion to fill all the chips. The tacos here are a must try! The Taco El Vis is a tribute to the King himself. It's a unique taco I've never seen anywhere else and is smoky bacon, peanut butter, sweet and sour habanero and smoked crema. It might sound odd but it all works together perfectly for a unique and very enjoyable taco. The Sharp Dressed Man is also enjoyable but not quite as unique as El Vis. It has homemade smoked brisket, homemade queso, pico, and crema on a corn tortilla. The sides are worth a try as well. The plantains are perfectly seasoned and freshly fried. The black beans are also hot and fresh though I don't think we got the cojita and pickled onions Drinks are also a hit here. The Tommy's margarita is a tasty basic margarita while the Al Pastor margarita has mezcal, rum, pineapple and smoke bitters for a unique and enjoyable smoky taste. Service is very friendly here and they have a record/music theme with amps in the back and classic rock hits playing. They have a few shuffleboard tables and a vintage Golden Tee machine if you want to play some golf. This place isn't cheap (welcome to Mosaic) but it's an enjoyable spot with tasty food/drinks and awesome service and I'll come here again.

You see, sometimes the quality does matter and quantity is something that is overrated. Meokja Meokja demonstrates that at times quality trumps quantity in Kbbq. The cuts of the meat were all very fresh. I especially enjoyed the beef brisket. It was very tender. A lot of the times at AYCE Kbbq, the beef brisket can be quite dry. Not the case here. The waitress cooked all of our food, which is something I haven't truly appreciated in a while. It does make the food a bit more enjoyable when I don't have to do all the work. This restaurant is not super big. It was already borderline packed despite that we went there right when it opened. My friend told me there is one time they waited almost an hour at 9PM. So I would definitely get here early to avoid a long wait. While I had always been a loyal fan of AYCE Kbbq, I have found myself over the recent years slowly being tipped over towards the a la carte territory. Meokja Meokja has been the tipping point that finally swayed me over. The price here is about the same as AYCE, but with better quality, and I don't feel like trash after finishing the meal. Overall, AYCE Kbbq can be a messy affair, but I felt very clean and satisfied after eating here. A very solid Kbbq meal that I haven't had in a while.

I have a food allergy, and whenever I order, I always let the cashier know. At most locations, the staff will notify the kitchen, and they take extra care to ensure items containing my allergen do not touch my plate, including changing their gloves when preparing my order. While I know there is always a small risk of cross-contamination anywhere, the BBQ is so good that I willingly take precautions and come prepared just in case. Unfortunately, the staff at this location seemed not to care at all. As I waited for my order, I watched them touch the food of multiple different orders using the exact same pair of gloved hands (e.g., they did not use utensils). Even if I didn't have an allergy, I found it to be gross. When I suspected they were about to prepare my food, I politely asked them to change their gloves. I received an audible huff and an eye roll in response. When I asked a question about how they seasoned their fries, they acted as though I was a massive inconvenience even though I was literally the only customer in line at that moment. Finally, when the employee went to open my food containers to verify the order, I had to stop them and say I could do it myself, as I no longer trusted that that staff member's un-changed gloves wouldn't contaminate my food boxes. I left feeling so frustrated. Management should retrain this location's staff on basic food safety and customer service, particularly of those with allergies.

Food was a mixed bag. We started with the yuk hae and mandu, which were solid but not particularly memorable. A note for the mandu was that it came out soggy and sat in water which was a bit disappointing for the price point. The meat quality was excellent though, with great marbling throughout the meal. The banchan leaned lighter in seasoning than I'm used to, but the broccoli and marinated quail eggs were standouts. I also appreciated the variety of salts served alongside the meats. My favorite was the volcanic salt! Service was where things fell short. We felt rushed or almost transaction for most of the meal, and it seemed like closing duties took priority over the guest experience. Tea refills took a while, banchan refills had to be requested multiple times, and there wasn't much guidance throughout the grilling experience. We had to ask what cuts we were eating and what each salt was. At this price point, I expect a little more storytelling and attention to detail. The grill also ran extremely hot, making it easy for some cuts to cook past our preferred temperature and constant smoke blew into the middle seat's face. A few tips: don't wear your nicest clothes because the ventilation isn't on the same level as Seoul Prime or Ingle. Make a reservation if you want a grill table, and don't be afraid to ask for banchan refills!! Would I come back for Korean BBQ? Probably not. I'd personally choose Seoul Prime or Ingle. That said, I saw several main dishes that looked promising, and I'd be open to giving the restaurant another shot. The foundation is there, but for the price and the hype, I think the overall experience needs a bit more refinement.
