The food here is all vegan so we decided to try the tofu bao buns, which were pretty good, but not the best we've ever had (we love meat). We also ordered hurricane popcorn, which was good & also hard to mess up haha. For drinks, my boyfriend had the old fashioned & I had the purple dragon, which is an ube based drink. I love ube so I was super excited. In terms of our drinks, we both thought they were just ok. The prices of everything were not too bad, definitely expected from a speakeasy type of place. I love when speakeasys are themed really well, and Wild Orange certainly nailed it, from the soda machine entrance, to the bar itself. Reservations were easy to make and it wasn't too crowded when we joined. The cocktails were all delicious in their own right, with the menu guiding your decisions based on your palate. Located inside hawaiian brian's behind an obscure vending machine :O Easy parking - just inside the 24 hour parking garage. The vibes are IMMACULATE. I just love the ambience & the wall with black light/neon writing is soooo cool! Vibey lighting & awesome music. I got one of their citrus cocktails..i don't remember the name it was something along the lines of 'da cracks' - hopefully i'm right. It was good! If you like really sour, definitely try it out. It delivers quite the sour punch :) Food was good, me & my friends just shared their miso salad, bao buns, & beet poke. For everything being vegan, it was quite good. Wild Orange!!! sooo cute. We did have a bit of trouble locating this speakeasy but once you find Hawaiian Brian's you will find this place. To make a reservation you have to text a number and they will text you back. You have to put down a CC and if you don't show up they do charge you a $50 penalty. So be sure to not flake!! Now, the fun part! Bring a nickel LOL you need this to get in. Once you're in they can supply you with more nickels once you're in so you can use the bathroom. So one nickel is all you need. My bf didn't love the food haha because it was vegan based BUT it wasn't bad. The spam musubi and tuna tartare was okay~ but we're not here for the food. We're here for the vibes and drinks. UGHHH I LOVE THEIR UBE COCKTAIL. I have been on an ube binge and this just satisfied that. I dream about this even now ): JT WAS SOOO GOOD. it was just perfect. Is this the most secret speakeasy I've ever seen? Probably. Sorry, but I'm not revealing the number so don't ask! The lack of info surrounding this place is astounding. They've really managed to keep it quite the secret. It's meant to be secret for a reason and you do need a reservation. Without revealing too much, everything from the drinks to the ambiance to the service is fantastic here. The most memorable drink I had here was a lemon peel crack seed-inspired drink which was so good. I also had the vegan spam musubi which was shockingly hard to distinguish from the real thing. A friend who had been here before made reservations for us and good thing she had been there before and was with us because I probably would have never found it otherwise lol. There's lots of seating once you're inside and it wasn't crowded at all (probably because you can't find it easily lol). The one tricky thing is that you do need to leave the bar and use the bathrooms outside that are shared with Hawaii Brian's patrons and then to come back in, you have to use the front door and that's the one where you need to do something special to open it. So that gets a little tedious (especially once you break the seal haha). It's really fun and I've never really been to such a secret speakeasy before so that was exciting! The shots were good (I thought they were better than the drinks). We had the Purple Dragon and also the matcha one. My sister got the Ariel's Grotto drink and I thought it tasted like a seaweed's butthole but she liked it lol. I do hope they'll make it easier soon for people to come here since I would have had no way to go except I luckily had a friend who overheard me say I wanted to come here and she had been before so she knew how to get us in. read more

This place is by RESERVATION ONLY. First, the entrance! You need to walk to the Aloha Maid natural fruit drinks sign, which is nicely lit! Put a nickel into the door and PUSH, NOT PULL the door open. There will be another door that leads you into Wild Orange. Wild Orange used the be a recording studio so the decibel meter is still in here. The music, decor, and ambiance is SUPER VIBEY. I love that the table is covered in Managa, the slot machines, and the orange tree! Our waiters and bartenders were super nice and even gave us hurricane popcorn as a snack! I ordered the boba themed drink to try something different. I was pleasantly surprised as the drink had a delayed punch to it. Also tried their version of an old fashion was also amazing, as it had a nice smokey flavor to it with every sip. They do have food, although its more like a snack to enjoy with your drinks. Their menu is vegan-centric. Some of their menu options include what is basically popcorn with furikake, tofu spam musubi, Hoisin Mushroom Bao, and Kalbi Eryngii Mushroom, to mention a few. Personally wasn't a huge fan of the selection, as it left me wanting more and the portions are small. If you're planning on eating while you're out with company, do plan on going somewhere else either before or after to pair it with your experience. BRING NICKELS! Wild Orange: 4.2/5 Food: 4.5/5 - My friend got a reservation here through a Hawaiian local, and this place took us forever to find, but at the end it was well worth it. I love that they gave us complimentary popcorn, literally my favorite snack. It's seasoned with furikake seasonings, seaweed, and rice crisps, so make sure to ask for more. See the descriptions of the drinks we got below. - Purple Dragon [GET]: This is originally a sake shot, but I asked for it as a cocktail, and they were able to accommodate me and make it citrusy rather than sweet. I love anything Ube, so this drink did not disappoint. Although, I do wish that the Ube flavor was stronger and punchy; it was pretty subtle and delicate. There's vegan cream, sake, and lemon coco Lopez in it as well. It was a lot creamier than I thought, but not heavy to drink at all. It is super unique and fun, literally you need to enter through a vending machine, so get a nickel ready. Also, there's tons of parking available. Price: 4/5 - The prices here for cocktails are decent, especially how tasty they are. They are $15 each, which is similar to most major city prices, I'd say. There's food here too, but I think it's pricier if you would order it here than at a restaurant. Solid price and pretty good value. Service: 4/5 - Our server was kind and sweet. He was able to take all our drinks in a timely manner and correctly. I asked for some adjustments with my drinks, and he was able to help me with it. I appreciate that. He checked in with us a couple of times throughout the night and asked if we wanted second round of drinks, so his service was thoughtful and nice. To get there, you need to park on the second floor or walk thru 24 Hour Fitness to the second floor and through the garage. It's located inside HB Social Club. Once in there, make sure you have nickel which you will use to get to open the door. The interior is pretty cool with one wall being covered with like the glass from pinball machines. The cocktail menu is creative with some fun looking drinks. The Hold The Boba drink was pretty delicious as well as the Broken Record. Hidden somewhere in the back of Brian's is wild orange. Friend took us there for more than a few drinks. We had a good time and the bar tenders took good care of us. If you go with good friends or good company I think you will have a good time anywhere. The interior decoration seemed like it needed some finishing touches, but it was fun. What a fun experience! There aren't many speakeasy bars in Hawaii (unless, that's what they want us to think, haha). But of the ones that I know about, this is probably one of the more "exclusive" or harder ones to get into. Wild Orange is a reservation only establishment. There is no secret password, but you will need a keen eye and a nickel to get in. Hope you like canned juice. IYKYK. To get a reservation, there is a number that you text. Im not entirely sure if I can share it here without threat of injury, haha. I may be easily bribed though, just saying. LOL. How it works is, you text the number and some mastermind will text you back with a link to a reservation line. Tables are usually limited so you may get luckier with bar seating if its a last minute reservation. To make a reservation, a credit card is required and if you don't show up, a no-show fee of $50 will be charged. After you are confirmed, you will receive another text with information on where the bar is and instruction on, well, how to enter. Again, IYKYK. Simple, right? The place is dimly lit and oozes culture. The pricing, surprisingly, is not that bad at all. You should know, if you are going for food -- this place is vegan. HOWEVER, they know how to do vegan VERY well. They also do pupu or tapas style. There is no actual entree menu. I ordered a lot of the food menu, mainly because everything is so inexpensive. They have maybe ten to twelve food items ranging from like $three to $nine dollars. LOVED the musubi and the kalbi mushrooms. I hear (the people next to me) the bao buns are major, but I didn't order them this time. The drinks. My God. The drinks. That Purple Ube thing they do is DANGEROUS. Their entire menu is basically drinks...and there are ALOT of them to choose from. Ask the bartender if you aren't sure, because they are super knowledgeable and friendly. The service here is great. Visiting Honolulu for our first time we wanted to find some cool bars to hit up while in town. Wild orange is everything that you could possibly want in a speakeasy. Secret entrance- Super cool and as many reviewers have already mentioned a bit of a treasure hunt to find ;) Because we unfortunately did not plan ANYTHING this trip, we couldn't get a reservation. But we showed up at opening (5pm) and they could squeeze us in for an hour. And believe me we were so thrilled and grateful that they did. Ambiance- A bit Japanese inspired & a bit mellow club atmosphere. Once you step inside you are transported in the best way. Drinks- Obviously the main event and everything we had was perfectly balanced. As mentioned in other reviews the purple dragon as a full drink is a must. But to be honest, I think any drink on this menu will be mind blowing. They have some really unique ingredients and I love the combos they've come up with. Even the beers on their list were a unique change from the usual. Food- As someone who tries to eat a decent amount plant based, I was so thrilled to see they had a vegan menu. We got both baos, ahi, asparagus and beef poke. Each dish had a delicious blend of umami and richness. I would recommend each one we got. Even for those who are fortunate enough to regularly eat good vegan food. You won't regret it. Bartenders- everyone here was super welcoming and answered any questions we had.
